thb I did think about making another boy a player but I couldn’t decide who, lmao. And I definitely derailed because I wanted to explore more of this idea. Oops No really. I just love this idea. 

EDIT: Read mores are being really dumb for asks rn apparently. 

Brian had been a part of Chelsea U18 team, as it happened they signed a new goalie from Belgium just a few months before Brian qualified to be bumped up. It’s not that he wasn’t a good goalie (his head for physics and angles was clear because he knew where to stand to cut off most of a striker’s preferred spots), and he managed to go three games in a row with a clean sheet. But being untested and a decidedly not aggressive goal inched him out.

Luckily (or unluckily if you ask Brian) Arsenal’s main relief goalie ends his career due to a broken femur, in a car accident of all things. And Arsenal’s manager didn’t want to spend so much money on someone who is probably never going to _touch _the ball in a season. Him being in the top three goalies of the U18 league made him an obvious choice.

Even if he does have to deal with the heckling that comes from switching clubs.

It’s pretty much what Brian expects controlled diet and long practice hours. Everyone tells him he needs to be more aggressive, Brian doesn’t like leaving his box if he can help it. He doesn’t debut in his first season of playing with Arsenal. Which, he knows is a good thing because that means their star goalie hadn’t underperformed or been hurt.

Somehow he still ends up with fans. Well, two. An assistant from Crystal Palace’s medical team and his best friend. Roger and Freddie come to the games, and then complain when he doesn’t get played. It’s fun.

When he does debut late into his second year, it’s because of an injury like he imagined. They don’t know what’s wrong, just that the goalie went down and then didn’t get to his feet fast enough to block the shot that tied up the game. (As it so happens, this game is the one that would secure their spot at the top of the table. They need the points not the goal difference).

So Brian _can’t _fuck up.

He doesn’t. Then again he only needs to block two shots before their striker sneaks in an 87th-minute goal pushing it to 2-1.

Roger and Freddie are absolutely thrilled for him. He’s mostly glad he didn’t get sick or fuck up.

That’s basically his life for the next few years. Emergency reliefs and starting in non-crucial or friendly games. Things change in his fifth season. He’s starting because the game is against Leicester City, and they’ll finish in the high middle table. He should mostly be bored.

The attacking midfielder takes a touch too aggressive slide tackle from one of his midfielders. The LC player goes down and has to be subbed in with a player Brian’s never seen before. He ignores the kid until they’re in his attacking third. The striker aims for the top right, and it’s all Brian can do to punch it out. He’s got the angle right to one of his defenders, but the new kid has already snuck in between.

Brian sees what he’s going to do a second before he does. He’s already leaping across the net by the time the striker has it at his feet. He gets a hand on the ball but then it takes a bad bounce across the line.

It’s a little annoying that the kid looks as surprised as Brian.

It’s even more annoying when the kid manages to sneak a goal in during their second matchup of the season. Brian doesn’t know how, but Deacon (what he’s petty?) found the one open spot in the goal.

The next two times they meet up in a match, Deacon manages to get an assist and a goal (but at least he’s not surprised).

Then Arsenal buys him in the summer trading window and Brian wonders why he’s cursed. Except Deacon doesn’t act like he’s got all eyes on him, or that he’s going to start in their first friendly of the season. Brian finds him panicking the showers the night before.

“You’ll do fine, you know. Just play,” Brian says.

Deacon gives him a withering look.

“Listen, that’s _all _you can do. You can’t predict what the other team is going to do, except that their keeper plays a soft box and hates jumping to the right.”

Deacon looks moderately more interested now, “May, right?”

“Mm, Brian, if you don’t mind. We’re teammates. And you’re John?”

“Did you know or were you just guessing?”

Brian quirks his lips, “might’ve gotten annoyed with your little stunts enough to pay attention.”

“Obviously didn’t work.”

From there they become close. Even if they spend half the time poking at each other’s playing and tend to fight whenever they’re on the pitch at the same time. Although John’s uncanny knack for finding weak spots in goal makes Brian a better goalkeeper. His pride (and usually his money) is on the line during scrimmages and he’s learned that you literally have to cut John off before he gets a chance to shoot or pass.

The managers like that he’s getting more aggressive (he even goes out for players that aren’t John) and they especially like that John is starting to make ridiculous shots on a semi-consistent basis so Brian doesn’t have a chance to stop him.

Freddie and Roger are happy to cheer them on because John’s basically been  the starter since he signed, and their current goalie is starting to get older and injuries making him slower so that means Brian starts more often.

It doesn’t stop anyone from teasing the pair of them though, because for whatever reason it seems that when one of them has a bad day, they both do and the same thing for good days. Example: John gets a hat trick (three very clean shots it’s a newer keeper but still) and Brian gets a clean sweep but also gets play of the week, he dives to save the ball but he’s back on his feet punching it over only a second later when the initial save was deflected to the same striker.

For someone who dates a Footballplayer and travels a lot to Ibiza her waredrobe is horrible. She seems to have one Top in different colours. She looks like she's still in 2006.

I can't find excuses for John, he's stupid and very naive. He should really date a Woman who doesn't had 60% of Premier League Players in her Bed to finally get pregnant, her parents must be really proud.

I just saw that she really follows and also likes pictures of Johns Daughters School, she even comments on them, i mean Hello she's not your daughter stop acting like you are to impress John that you are the perfect Partner for him.

Today had to be one of the best and most cherished moments in my life. I was blessed to watch my grandsons first game ever in flag football! He did amazing and has never played with kids, nor has he had a practice Jayson only knows what his parents as well as what John and I have taught or told him about playing. What is even more amazing is he took it upon himself to learn the game not only by watching the Steelers games but watching YouTube videos. His heart and determination to be a football player is so special to watch. He even scored his first touchdown! We could be more proud of him and I cannot wait to experience even more games with him. The Deaky is still being tweaked because FIFA character creation is... not the best. Also, I have only a working knowledge of Leicester’s team the premier league is... not my favorite league to watch. Anywho this is the 0.4 Alpha of the AU 

And there’s another footballplayer!Deaky somewhere hidden on my blog

Ever notice how I just start writing things in the middle of my outline? Because Oops.

But the basics:

Deaky is a graduate of the Leicester City Football Academy. He gets pulled up to the Premier League at 19 for LCFC. John’s always shown to be a solid attacking center midfielder. His head for strategy is impressive, and he has the physical skill to back it up.

He really doesn’t expect to be played, except in dire situations. Probably spend a few seasons on the bench before quietly retiring with a healthy pension and a regular job.

That’s not exactly what happened. In fact, he ends up debuting after the starter ends up injured in a game against Arsenal. It’s enough to make any new player nervous and basically, the debut was going to shape his career:

A) He does well, gets called up to sub in more frequently

B) He does as expected, might sub a few more times in the season

C) He does terrible, and he rarely sees another minute of game time.

What actually happens is a corner getting punched out by the Goalkeeper, him managing seal out the opposing defender and a well-timed cross to the striker ends up netting them a goal.

They lose 3-1, but he’s officially on the stat board with an assist, and the replacement starter position is his. By the time the original starter is cleared to play, John’s earned himself a respectable four assists and a goal (now that had been a fluke, he just caught the rebound from the post on his heel but it looked good and deliberate and managers love that kind of thing).

So by the end of the season, it’s a toss-up as to who is going to start. He doesn’t play in the major games or games that could affect the league table but as a first season player? He really couldn’t have asked for more.

The next season starts up and he rolls his ankle during one of the games. Injuries happen, it just needs to be wrapped. What no one told him, rather didn’t think to tell him is that the physiotherapist had an assistant, who looked like he should be doing anything but wrapping sweaty players injuries.

His name is Roger, and he’s literally the most beautiful man John has met (which is saying something, because there are some impressively beautiful men who are footballers). Somehow they get from Roger playfully joking about inventing cleats with aerosol spray in them to meeting up with some of Roger’s friends later to celebrate the win (he overbalanced on his shot and landed wrong, but the ball slipped nicely into that bottom right corner boosting the score up 0-1 in the 78th minute).

He sneaks away from the presser, his manager isn’t happy but John isn’t exactly the marketable type yet, still gangly from youth and too untested to be a star player), so he concedes. With a promise that he’ll be back by the bus before it leaves at 7.

John follows Roger with a slight limp in his ankle and explains, “I’m really the assistant for Crystal Palace, but yours needed one. I Live in London.”

He doesn’t think he needs to explain where he lives, and why he’s never seen this man before.

“And I really only work for CP because it fills credits, looks nice on a CV, and I don’t have to go to class. So in my spare time, I work with my band.”

“Are you qualified?”

“I’m First Aid and CPR certified, plus biology student, so.”

He supposes there’s a screening process since Roger is technically working with people that get traded for a couple of mil.

“Plus, I can get Freddie into the games for free and he can eye the players, which I guess you don’t want to here because you’re a player...” Roger rambles.

“Nah, I get paid regardless if people are fans of the sport or the players.”

John isn’t sure what he’s expecting Roger’s friends to be like. He nearly thinks up an excuse when he sees the two men standing outside the pub. One’s tall and if he added a little more muscle mass he’d be a devasting fullback for corners. He’s pretty in a classic way. The other one looks a little more athletic, and John wonders if Roger only befriends beautiful people because he’s going to be an outlier even if he doesn’t lack confidence in his looks, and is downright gorgeous and obviously dressed to be sexy.

“Brian, Freddie, this is John. John, Brian is the tall one, Freddie is the other one.”

Freddie gasps, “how rude.”

“John’s a footballer.”

“Oh, who for?”

“Leicester.”

“Should transfer to a proper London club,” Freddie wiggles his eyebrows.

London clubs won’t give him a second glace. CP might but they’re currently ranked under them on the table and that’s not exactly a solid career move.

“I’ll do my best.”

The night goes well, and John is almost sorry he has to leave. He doesn’t think he’ll run into them again, even with the exchange of phone numbers and the like.

Then again, he didn’t expect the rest of his season to go as it does. With 13 assists to his name and a respectable 9 goals he’s gone from “decent newbie” to “has star potential” and LCFC gladly takes the 2.5mil, and brings up two more kids from their academy, from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

Roger, Brian, and Freddie are excited. John has no idea what he’s meant to do now.
