“You okay?” JJ softly asked his sister looking at her in concern as he pulled in front of the building to her dorms, having noticed something going on lately with his baby sister.

She just shook her head in reply ignoring his question, “Thanks for the ride Jayje.” She hopped out of the car grabbing her backpack and walked up to her dorm.

She loved her older brother more than anything but being the younger sister of JJ McCarthy came with a lot of pressure, she was always trying to do as well JJ and trying to prove her self. It did not help they are both in sports with large media presence with causes more pressure and she sees too many moments comparing her to her brother.

JJ frowned watching her hurry up the steps and into the building, he pulled out his phone texting his sister’s boyfriend, Ethan. JJ knew Ethan would help her feel better.

She threw her backpack on the floor and flopped onto her bed letting out a long sigh, she grabbed Ethan’s hoodie she left on her bed in the morning and threw it on before cuddling under her blankets.

She was there for a while just hiding under blankets until she heard a soft knock on her door and then the door opened and shut behind whoever walked in.

She smelt her favorite cologne and knew who came into her room, her boyfriend.

“Hi pretty girl.” Ethan cooed softly sitting on the bed next to her rubbing her back, “Come here, let me see that pretty face.” Ethan softly spoke pulling the blanket down and turning her around.

Ethan had noticed her acting different the past few days and knew she has been having a hard couple days but she hasn’t wanted to talk about it yet which he has respected but he knew JJ is worried about his sister and he doesn’t want her to suffer in silence any longer.

“Hi.” She softly mumbled rubbing her eyes looking up at Ethan’s soft face but she could see the worry on his face as well.

“What’s wrong my pretty girl.” Ethan softly but sternly asked.

She bit her lip looking hesitant but blurted out, “I’m never gonna live up to the McCarthy name. I’m always JJ’s little sister and even our parents compare me to him.” Her eyes were teary as she spoke.

“Oh my pretty girl.” Ethan frowned pulling her to him making her sit up and hugging her.

“First off.” He pulled back from the hug cupping her face, “Stop talking yourself down, babe. You’re amazing.”

“You’re already more than his little sister and you have made a name for yourself, i see you not JJ’s little sister. I always will see you.” Ethan softly reassured her his thumb gently rubbing her cheek. “You are an incredible soccer player and soon you are going to go pro, you’ve made a name for yourself just in that my pretty girl.” Ethan knows just how incredible of a player she is and know show many teams have offered her spots when she finishes her collegiate career.

She slowly nodded taking Ethan’s words in and feeling a bit better for the first time in the past few days, “I love you.”

“I know.” Ethan cheekily smiled making her snot and playfully smack him, “I love you too.” Ethan kissed her forehead.

I think we're all ready for Tim Drake to move on from the Robin codename and costume and take on a new identity just like he had right before New 52. However, while I liked the costume... the name? Red Robin? It wasn't the best. Certainly better than other names that have been suggested for him (looking at you... Drake) but it still didn't give him his own identity, you know? Red is Jason's color, and he's still clutching tight to the Robin mantle. Hell, even the costume he wore was originally worn by Jason during the Countdown series before Final Crisis.

I want him to have his own name. His own costume. His own color.

And then I saw Juni Ba's interpretation of the Red Robin suit and... it hit me -

Condor.

The wings, the curved shape of the helmet looking like a beak... it would be so easy to translate this design into a new costume for Tim. Especially since it looks like a condor more than a Robin. Especially since the symbol he wore while Red Robin never 'looked' like a Robin.

And yes there are questions -

Isn't there already a hero named Condor? Yes. Two heroes and a villain. However we haven't heard much about them in recent comics. Black Condor, to my knowledge, currently only exists on Earth X as there's yet to be a Freedom Fighters team on the main DC Earth even after Heavy Metal. The other Condor was last seen during the New 52 run of Birds of Prey. And the villain Condor exists as a Hawk parallel who, let's be honest, we will most likely never see again.

Why Condor? Aren't there other names, similar names, you could use? Yes, these similar names exist, but it wouldn't sound right or be feasible in the current comics universe. Hawk? Already exists, Hank Hall. Vulture? Villain name. Raptor? Already taken by a Nightwing Rogue. Falcon? Hero for Marvel.

The only name I could also see other than Condor is Eagle, which would also be a great nod to Alfred Pennyworth, but the symbolism of Eagle is also too wrapped up with the government that it would muddle the messaging and vigilante brand.

Condor, however, makes perfect sense.

And you wouldn't have to tweak the costume much! My only thing would be to change the color from red... to green.

Green is currently an unclaimed color amongst the Bat Family and I think Tim would rock it. We've seen him leaning on the color green more and more as Robin, ironic as his most famous costume is when he ditched green all together after Superboy's death. Him choosing green, reclaiming green, would show him fully stepping out from the shadows to be his own hero.

Tl; dr Tim Drake should take on a new codename, Condor, wear a suit similar to Juni Ba's design, but green.

this is something i feel very deep in my heart. hinata will scrap with r*naldo fans every day of the week to defend his (THE) goat. literally begged oikawa to set up a meet and greet 😭 really admires his background that led him to soccer and resonates with him because of his height as well. protagonists of the world they both are <3

tobio kageyama + kylian mbappé (taste)

this just makes sense to me idk why. thinks his stats are crazy considering how young he is and that’s kinda what did it for him (me too). also kinda resonates with the young-as-hell-prodigy-changing-the-future-of-the-sport thing mbappé’s got going on. him and hinata have not spoken to each other since the final btw because hinata won’t shut up about messi (he’s so real for that)

tanaka is VERY new to soccer, and i feel like he’s kinda the person to choose a team based off of how cool they look 😭 so of course he saw pulisic’s tattoos and was like Yeah this is my man i’m gonna stick by him. loved how he put his balls on the line for his country #CaptainAmerica. for sure cried when the us lost to the netherlands

GENTLE GIANTS ON TOP!!!! asahi thinks haaland is a beast and is honestly a little scared of him but really admires him. his dortmund era was iconic but man city haaland truly got his attention. they even have the same hair i’m crying. was lowkey mad haaland made the decision to stick by norway and not join the english nt for the world cup but he’s gonna stick by his man no matter what so it’s ok

DEFENSIVE LEGENDS. noya literally loves how pickford does not stop yelling at his defense and really loves his attitude. comes across as a gk meat rider to me (same) but pickford just happens to be his favorite. cried when france beat england for sure and also has not spoken to kageyama after the loss. it’s been several weeks and france lost the final noya it’s ok

despite the fact jay exclusively dresses in black/grey/dark blue, the decor for their room is so colorful. they're partial to pink and orange, but there's bursts of other colors, too - green artificial plants, ocean-themed pictures in all shades of blue, small knickknacks and trinkets of varying themes (small animals, like rabbits and cats, but he loves oceanic things above all else. he loves whale and mermaid figurines; jay looks for them any time he goes on a supply run.)

the only thing that kinda disappointed me was that I thought we'd see at least some players supporting lgbt and women rights, after fifa said no rainbow armband everyone was like ok and that was it, they didn't even bother doing anything else, maybe a little message under their shirts when celebrating a goal or something would've been nice but well 🤷‍♀️

you’re so right and I have soooo many thoughts about this too :/

apart of me thinks fifa was bluffing when it came to whatever repercussions they’d place on a team/player who didn’t follow their rules. and even if they weren’t… why couldn’t the whole team come together as a unit on the same cause? literally any cause, stand for something? they can’t eliminate an entire national team? imagine the backlash from fans? like would their country’s representatives really allow their players/team get dragged by fifa/organizers/qatari govt? I don’t think they will. I know this is all hypothetical but it’s obvious none of them thought this far

it was just a matter of giving a damn and taking a risk and unfortunately it just looked like the majority of teams there couldn’t even do that. we clearly can’t speak for every individual there or generalize everyone but that’s just how it looks tbh
