He’s always cared and he’s always loved.

He calmed and reassured the worried children.

He let sebek and silver join the team.

He worried about them even while injured

Literally told meleanor to be careful with the egg or she’ll hurt malleus

Held the egg the entire time to and came back from isolation just for him

Learns to cook to see mal smile

Wakes silver and takes care of a human child

Trains them.

Cared about meleanor, levan, baul, and maleficia.

Clearly cares about his troops.

Are we surprised that he got zapped for being foolish? At his age nonetheless.

He has always loved. He just didn’t know he did.

It could come from a misconception because he didn’t grow up with his parents or because he was taken in by the queen to look after the princess.

But no matter the case, he has always cared.
