The first several things I thought of I know you've done (futurefic, foodfic, etc). Have you ever written a story where a character was turned into an animal? (I haven't, fwiw, though I'm contemplating some fairytale retellings)

Not directly, though featherstep implies the opposite, that Clint Barton was a bird who turned human. It's based off of @cloud--atlas's brilliant طائر غريب (Strange Bird) which is much more explicit in the anima-to-human transformation.

Also I once, very memorably to abut 5 peoplee, when modding an RP community decided that three (or four?) characters were kittens now because @kittydorkling had to disappear and her character needed to be taken out of rotation. IDK if that counts, but it was funny.

Spettacolo teatrale su “gourmet gentrification” e dintorni

In una Torino di un futuro non troppo lontano, un solitario avventore varca le soglie di un ristorante di tendenza dall’improbabile nome de “Il sapore dell’officina”. Qui troverà a servirlo un cameriere i cui pensieri faranno da contraltare all’ottimismo dell’ingenuo commensale.

Nel corso di una cena che va dal bio km zero all’esotico, uno scambio di battute e monologhi che guidano un percorso attraverso le trasformazioni che Torino e l’Italia hanno vissuto negli ultimi quindici anni proprio a causa di una nuova concezione del cibo che da nutrimento diventa prodotto, status symbol e protagonista di gentrification.

Dalla fondazione di Eataly nel 2003, alle recensioni dell’ultimo ristorante di tendenza sorto nel distretto del cibo sano e pulito, dove anche i riders Foodora pedalano felici. Dal Salone del Gusto allo Street Food, passando per la Sagra della Salamella fritta nel cuore della città: come è successo tutto questo? Avevamo davvero bisogno di tutto questo?

Tra il recente passato e un futuro prossimo che profuma di distopia molto vicina alla realtà, Paolo Tex Tessarin (blogger di Sistema Torino) e Marco Perucca (autore di racconti e reading) vi porteranno in viaggio per la Capitale del Food, con le sue virtù e i mille interrogativi che porta con sé.

Seulgi’s missed her Seungwan so, so much.

It’s been too long a day.

And now that she’s finally home, Seulgi lets her omega sit in her lap while she orders them a stuffed-crust Neapolitan pizza and fried garlic mozzarella sticks for dinner. While they’re waiting for the food to arrive, she lets Seungwan pick out tonight’s movie as she decorates the coffee table with soft drinks, sauces and the chilled watermelon she sliced this afternoon. 

Twenty minutes later, they’re sitting on the floor, stuffing their faces and playing movie critic.

Seulgi secretly side-eyes her mate as she waves fists and curses at the characters. There’s a list of things she loves about Seungwan. She loves that her eyes are so innocent and expressive, like an exploring child full of adventure. She loves watching the concentration stencilled into Seungwan’s brows when she asks her for help with her nightly sheet mask. She loves that she gets to wake up every morning to her little omega curled up in her muse. 

They’re sharing a Ben and Jerry’s after dinner on the sofa as the movie draws to an end. Seulgi chuckles softly as Seungwan nuzzles into her neck, melting into her embrace. When Sook Hee leans into Lady Hideko for a kiss in the dark, so does Seungwan— the press of their lips has Seulgi floating on clouds of whipped cream and tahitian vanilla. She already misses her mate when she pulls away with a giggle.

Seulgi buffers like Internet Explorer when decadent, knowing pupils bore into hers. “W-Wannie?”

“Why did you wait for so long?” 

Seulgi downs her cherry soda in one shot. “Wait so long for what?”

Seungwan nonchalantly dips her spoon into the tub. “To kiss me.”

Silence.

“Huh?” the other girl’s voice echoes in the empty aluminium can. She swallows to ease the knot in her throat. “W-What do you mean?”

Seungwan shifts from her spot cuddled between her alpha’s long legs. “C’mon you dork. None of your dumb jock friends are here to make fun of you for being a softie.”

“That’s— that’s not it,” Seulgi mumbles around the rim of her cola. She was just totally unprepared for the question. “I guess I didn’t want to make you uncomfortable by moving too fast, you know?”

Seungwan pouts. Not fair, she’s too sweet. 

“Oh, and uh… also because,” Seulgi adds, moving off the sofa to the kitchen. Seungwan catches a blur across the fruit bowl and then her girlfriend’s back is towards her. She tries not to let curiosity get the best of her when she hears a marker uncapping and sees Seulgi hunched over the counter. 

A jumpscare on the screen suddenly grabs their attention and Seulgi almost drops the fruit she’s carrying back. Seungwan throws her head back laughing, simmering down again when the alpha slips back into her place. Seulgi wordlessly hands an orange to her omega, watching as she holds it to the light. Seungwan’s eyes squint at her hangul squiggles, all nervous and rushed. 

I really, really like you.

“Aishhh! You cheesy idiot!” Seungwan playfully attacks a horribly embarrassed Seulgi with flailing arms and frenzied legs. But a blush of crimson streaks across her cheeks in the next minute when Seungwan’s ice-cream kisses soothe her awkwardness and shame.

Seulgi thaws into their shared kiss. It’s at times like this that she hates that her omega has to leave for work five out of the seven mornings of the week. When Seungwan looks at her, Seulgi knows she’s the luckiest person in the world for securing her corner in that valentine heart, for being able to be the one to greet her as soon as she’s home in the evening. 

For being able to witness everything about her; all so lovable.

Name: Argon. I’m also Sir Humphrey (KG GCMG CH OM FRS) on the Azulaang Gaang discord server. I have no idea why I made the switch to that.

Fandoms: I am writing two (possibly three) fics for Avatar: The Last Airbender, and I wrote (and likely abandoned) a Game of Thrones fic. I am also deeply in the Harry Potter fandom and a stalwart proponent of Haphne, the only HP ship I shall accept as canon. Tangential fandoms include Star Wars, Doctor Who, and more!

My sites: Archive of Our Own continues to be my domain of choice for posting, but I may expand to FFnet later on.

Most popular active fic: The Way to Cook, a fluffy and slightly romantic adventure where our beloved monk boi Aang teaches Azula how to cook, recipe by recipe. Where this goes depends on how hungry I am at the time of writing.

Favourite fic to write so far: It is a choice between The Way to Cook, or A Night at the Opera. Mostly because I love writing rarepairs for dear old Aang, and because fluff is too nice to not write.

Fic I was very nervous to post: Without hesitation, A Night at the Opera, my first fic after a four-year hiatus. Being absent from writing and lots of developments in my life made returning to it difficult, not to mention the changes to my preferences and my style. Thanks to @praetorqueenreyna, however, the idea for this became a snippet, and then a full-blown fanfic! It’s good to be back!

How I choose my titles: A Night at the Opera sounds appropriate for a fic that starts at the opera, doesn’t it? The Way to Cook, now that’s taken straight from a cooking series by Julia Child. Naturally, it became the title for the foodfic. I am not a creative person with regards to titles.

My outlining process: My current writing is an agglomeration of disparate thoughts which, if one were to take a generous view of it, may be seen to contain a certain centralised alignment when considered globally with a noticeable direction perhaps, even though the particular content of said work is often fragmented in nature and ultimately appears to have limited purpose upon closer examination. Or rather, I rarely outline and instead choose to write whatever I think fits, with a rough idea in mind for what ought to happen. Maybe I should outline, come to think of it.

Completed fics: None, because I am dreadful at writing on a schedule. Feel free to yell at me every now and then on here to push my writing along.

Do I take prompts: Yes! Any and all prompts and questions! I need ideas to steal incorporate into my fics at all times!

Upcoming fics: I can’t promise anything yet, but I have another Azulaang fic in the works, from an old prompt I saw about the two of them going on Spirit World adventures on Azula’s birthday each year. Also be on the lookout for the next chapters of A Night at the Opera and The Way to Cook. Both are in progress at the moment.
