So we all know that Alex starts turning into a Veldigun due to contact with Clyde, right? What if, instead of Clyde warning him just in time and them escaping, he opens the door and freaks out at the sight of police which leads him to show so Veldigun traits (the eyes in his hair for example like in @secret-spirit 's sketch (I really liked that idea) or his eyes just glow or smthn) and then Clyde jumps in and distracts the police so Alex can go back inside and get his stuff and then they run.

The police just confused as hell stands there for a second before one of the higher ranks calls Lankmann and easy to say, he is not happy.
