Striving to Make the World a Better Place: The Journey of Lovely Foundation and Its Commitment to Sarbat Da Bhala
Originally Published by Lovely Foundation : https://medium.com/@lovelyfoundation/striving-to-make-the-world-a-better-place-the-journey-of-lovely-foundation-and-its-commitment-to-bc5adaa82b38
“May Everyone Prosper” is the motto of “Sarbat Da Bhala,” which our Gurus have always upheld. Following in their footsteps, we uphold the same credo in service to mankind. We begin our journey with the wish: “May everyone prosper, may no one sleep hungry, may the light of education illuminate every home, may no human stay deprived of basic necessities, and may our environment grow and glow till eternity.”
For us, Sarbat Da Bhala is not merely a doctrine but a way of life, as exemplified by my mother. Throughout her life, she followed a path of helping as many fellow humans as possible. Inspired by her selflessness, I, Sanbir Kapoor, established the Lovely Foundation to continue her legacy of service to humanity and Mother Earth.
The Principle of Sarbat Da Bhala
The principle of Sarbat Da Bhala is deeply rooted in the teachings of our Gurus. It emphasizes universal well-being and prosperity, urging us to think beyond our personal interests and work towards the greater good. This philosophy inspires us to extend our hands to those in need, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to live a life of dignity and happiness.
My mother embodied this principle in every aspect of her life. She was always ready to help others, whether it was through providing food to the hungry, offering shelter to the homeless, or supporting education for underprivileged children. Her compassion and generosity left a profound impact on everyone she met, and her actions were a testament to the true spirit of Sarbat Da Bhala.
The Birth of Lovely Foundation
The Lovely Foundation was born out of a desire to honor my mother’s legacy and her unwavering commitment to helping others. I wanted to create an organization that would carry forward her mission of making the world a better place. The foundation was established with a vision to serve humanity and protect our environment, guided by the principle of Sarbat Da Bhala.
Our Focus Areas
Education
Communities and people may be transformed by education, which is a potent instrument. No matter their socioeconomic status, we at Lovely Foundation think all children should have access to a high-quality education. Our hard efforts are directed towards guaranteeing that children hailing from impoverished households are provided with the necessary tools and guidance to excel in school.
Among our educational endeavors are the sponsoring of educational programs, school supplies, and scholarships. We work together with educators and educational institutions to establish a setting that is favorable for kids to study. We want to end the cycle of poverty and enable the next generation to realize their full potential by making investments in education.
Health
Good health is fundamental to a fulfilling life. Unfortunately, many people in our society lack access to basic healthcare services. At Lovely Foundation, we are committed to improving health outcomes for vulnerable populations by providing medical care, health education, and support services.
Preventive care, early illness detection, and treatment are the main focuses of our health services. To encourage healthy living, we plan health camps, immunization drives, and awareness programs. We also offer financial support to people who are unable to pay for medical care. Our goal in tackling health inequalities is to guarantee that every individual may live a healthy and fruitful life.
Food and Nutrition
Nobody ought to starve to death. Sadly, food insecurity is still a major problem in a lot of places. By giving nourishing meals to people in need, Lovely Foundation works to end hunger and malnutrition. To make sure that no one is denied this essential requirement, we run food banks, community kitchens, and meal distribution programs.
We also provide teaching sessions on sustainable agriculture and healthy eating as part of our food and nutrition initiatives. In order to assist community gardens and encourage organic agricultural methods, we collaborate with nearby farmers. Our goals are to lessen the burden of diet-related illnesses and build healthier communities by tackling food insecurity and encouraging proper nutrition.
Environment
All living things depend on a healthy environment for their well-being. Our goal at Lovely Foundation is to preserve and safeguard our natural resources. We think it is our duty to protect the environment and make sure that coming generations may live in a healthy and sustainable setting.
Our environmental initiatives focus on reducing pollution, conserving biodiversity, and promoting sustainable practices. We organize tree planting drives, clean-up campaigns, and environmental education programs. We also advocate for policies that protect the environment and support renewable energy sources. By taking action to address environmental issues, we hope to create a greener and more sustainable world.
The Power of Community
One of the key strengths of Lovely Foundation is our community of dedicated volunteers. Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds, united by a common goal of making a positive impact on society. They contribute their time, skills, and resources to support our initiatives and help us reach more people in need.
Stories of Impact
Over the years, Lovely Foundation has touched the lives of many individuals and communities. Here are a few stories that highlight the impact of our work:
A Brighter Future for Neha: Neha, a young girl from a low-income family, had dreams of becoming a doctor. However, her family struggled to afford her education. Through our scholarship program, Neha received the financial support she needed to continue her studies. Today, she is pursuing her medical degree and is on her way to achieving her dreams.
Health and Hope for Ramesh: Ramesh, a daily wage worker, suffered from a chronic illness that left him unable to work. With no savings and limited access to healthcare, his condition worsened. Our health team provided Ramesh with medical treatment and ongoing support. He is now on the road to recovery and able to support his family once again.
Nutritious Meals for Rekha: Rekha, a single mother, struggled to provide enough food for her children. They often went to bed hungry, affecting their health and well-being. Through our meal distribution program, Rekha and her children received regular, nutritious meals. This support has given them the strength and energy to thrive.
Greening the Community: In a neighborhood affected by pollution, we launched a tree planting drive to improve air quality and create green spaces. Our volunteers planted hundreds of trees, transforming the area into a lush, green oasis. The community now enjoys cleaner air and a healthier environment.
Looking Ahead
We are always looking for fresh approaches to broaden our influence and reach as we travel forward. We’re looking into joint ventures with other organizations, utilizing technology to enhance our offerings, and recruiting additional volunteers to support our mission. Our objective is to bring about a beneficial transformation that spreads far beyond the people who directly benefit from our initiatives.
How You Can Get Involved
There are many ways you can support the Lovely Foundation and contribute to our mission of making the world a better place. Here are a few ways you can get involved:
Volunteer: Join our community of volunteers and participate in our programs. Your time and skills can make a significant difference in the lives of others.
Donate: Your financial contributions help us fund our initiatives and reach more people in need. Every donation, no matter how small, makes an impact.
Advocate: Spread the word about our work and advocate for the causes we support. Your voice can help raise awareness and inspire others to take action.
Collaborate: If you represent an organization, consider partnering with us to amplify our efforts. Together, we can achieve greater impact and drive meaningful change.
Conclusion
Lovely Foundation’s path serves as a monument to the strength of dedication, compassion, and community. We work to improve the world little by little, guided by the tenet of Sarbat Da Bhala. We are improving people’s lives on an individual and community level with the help of our partners, donors, and volunteers. We are committed to fulfilling our purpose of assisting people and safeguarding the environment even as we look to the future. We can all live in a happier, healthier, and more successful society if we work together.

One of my favorite things (<- lying) about the liberal zionists claiming that Palestinians on tumblr are scammers is that they’ll say that donating to “verified” charities is more reliable and (audaciously) more helpful than individuals’ gofundmes. This demonstrates such egregious ignorance regarding how nonprofits and NGOs operate.
Donating directly to peoples’ funds to escape Gaza and survive while living (yet again) as a refugee is more direct and effective than donating to organizations that can’t manage to get aid in. I feel like we covered this month 2 of the current genocide. Furthermore, we’ve placed this scrutiny on “random” (Palestinian) bloggers but where is this scrutiny for these charities and NGOs? Let’s not forget that world aid programs are often neocolonial tools to utilize vital resource as a weapon that can be given or (more importantly) taken away. It doesn’t surprise me that liberal zionists find this more attractive.
#Theres a quote i’m thinking of about foreign aid and NGOs#Theres obviously the one from parenti. When poor people from a rich country send money to the rich people of a poor country#But there’s also one about how large food donations to certain countries are used to destabilize domestic industry#pol

NGO Funding and Donations in Jaipur: How You Can Help Local Causes
Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) play a pivotal role in addressing societal challenges such as poverty, hunger, education, and health. In Jaipur, the Pink City, several NGOs actively work to uplift underprivileged communities. However, their effectiveness and reach heavily depend on funding and donations. This article delves into how NGOs in Jaipur are funded, why donations are essential, and how individuals and businesses can contribute to these causes.
Donate Now
Understanding NGO Funding
Funding is the lifeline of any NGO. Without sufficient financial resources, even the best-planned programs cannot achieve their intended goals. NGOs in Jaipur derive their funding from a variety of sources, including:
1. Donations from Individuals
Individual donations form the backbone of many NGOs. People contribute either as one-time donors or through recurring donations. These funds are typically used for operational expenses, program implementation, or emergency relief activities.
2. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Contributions
With increasing emphasis on CSR, many corporations in Jaipur collaborate with NGOs to address critical social issues. CSR funding is often project-specific and aims to create measurable impact, such as building schools or organizing health camps.
3. Grants and Government Support
While many NGOs operate independently, some receive grants from national or state government schemes. These funds are usually provided for specific initiatives like women’s empowerment or rural development.
4. Crowdfunding Platforms
The digital age has made it easier for NGOs to raise funds through online crowdfunding platforms. These platforms allow NGOs to reach a global audience, encouraging small but meaningful contributions from many individuals.
5. Fundraising Events
NGOs frequently organize events like charity runs, auctions, or cultural programs to raise funds while increasing awareness about their causes.
Why NGOs in Jaipur Rely on Donations
NGOs depend on donations for several reasons:
Resource Accessibility: Many underserved communities in Jaipur rely on NGO-led programs to access food, healthcare, and education. These programs require consistent funding to remain operational.
Limited Revenue Generation: Unlike businesses, NGOs typically do not generate profit. Their services are often free, relying solely on donations to cover costs.
Scaling Impact: Donations enable NGOs to expand their operations, reaching more beneficiaries and addressing larger societal challenges.
Emergency Relief: During crises, such as natural disasters, NGOs need immediate funding to provide urgent relief to affected communities.
How Individuals Can Support
Supporting an NGO in Jaipur is a meaningful way to give back to society. Here’s how individuals can make a difference:
1. Monetary Donations
The simplest and most direct way to contribute is through financial donations. Whether it’s a small monthly contribution or a larger one-time gift, every rupee counts.
2. Volunteer Your Time
Many NGOs need volunteers for activities like food distribution, teaching, or event management. Volunteering not only helps the NGO but also provides personal satisfaction to the donor.
3. In-Kind Contributions
Donors can also contribute items like clothes, books, medical supplies, or non-perishable food. These items often directly benefit the needy.
4. Spread the Word
Sharing an NGO’s mission and success stories on social media can encourage others to contribute. Personal endorsements often lead to greater visibility and support.
How Businesses Can Support
Businesses in Jaipur have a significant role in supporting NGOs through:
1. CSR Initiatives
Aligning CSR goals with the objectives of an NGO in Jaipur can create a win-win situation. Businesses can support causes that resonate with their brand values.
2. Employee Engagement Programs
Companies can encourage employees to volunteer their time or donate to specific campaigns, creating a culture of giving within the organization.
3. Matching Gift Programs
Businesses can match employee contributions, doubling the impact of their donations.
4. Sponsorships
Sponsoring events, campaigns, or long-term projects enables NGOs to secure the funds needed for large-scale initiatives.
Inspiring Change: Success Stories of Jaipur-Based NGOs
Several organizations in Jaipur have made commendable progress with the help of generous donors and supporters. For instance:
An NGO for food donation successfully eradicated hunger in a slum area by setting up community kitchens.
A women’s empowerment NGO helped hundreds of women gain financial independence through skill-training programs.
These stories underline the transformative power of donations and community support.

Understanding Donation Tax Deductions: A Comprehensive Guide
Donating to charity is a wonderful way to support causes you care about. But did you know that your charitable donations can also benefit you during tax season? Donation tax deductions are a great way to reduce your taxable income and potentially lower the amount of taxes you owe. Here’s everything you need to know about donation tax deductions and how they work.
What Are Donation Tax Deductions?
Donation tax deductions are a benefit that allows you to deduct the value of your charitable donations from your taxable income. When you give money, goods, or even time to a qualifying charitable organization, you may be able to reduce your taxable income. This could lead to a lower overall tax bill, making it a win-win for both you and the charitable organization.
What Qualifies for Donation Tax Deductions?
To qualify for a donation tax deduction, the donation must be made to a recognized, tax-exempt charity. According to the IRS, only donations to qualified organizations, such as those registered under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, are eligible for tax deductions. These include most religious, educational, and charitable organizations.
In addition to cash donations, other items like clothing, furniture, or even cars can be donated for tax purposes. However, it's important to make sure the items are in good condition and have a fair market value. Keep in mind that the IRS may require documentation for non-cash donations, especially if they exceed a certain value.
How Much Can You Deduct?
The amount you can deduct depends on your total contributions and your adjusted gross income (AGI). Generally, you can deduct up to 60% of your AGI for donations of cash, and up to 30% of your AGI for donations of property. The exact limit depends on the type of donation and the organization.
If your donations exceed the limit in any given year, you can carry over the excess deductions for up to five years. This means you can still benefit from those donations in the future, even if they exceed the deduction limits for the current tax year.
How to Claim Donation Tax Deductions
To claim a donation tax deduction, you must file your taxes using the appropriate forms. For most individuals, this means filing the standard 1040 form. If you’re claiming donations of cash or goods that exceed a certain amount, you'll need to file Schedule A, which is used to itemize your deductions.
For donations of property valued at over $500, you’ll also need to fill out IRS Form 8283. Keep in mind that the IRS requires you to keep proper records of your donations, including receipts, bank statements, and photos of non-cash donations. Without proper documentation, you may not be able to claim the deduction.
Importance of Documentation
Whether you're donating money or goods, proper documentation is key. For cash donations, make sure to keep receipts, canceled checks, or bank statements. For non-cash donations, like clothing or furniture, it's important to keep a detailed list of the items donated, along with their estimated fair market value.
The IRS has strict rules about what constitutes acceptable documentation, so be sure to keep your records organized. If you're unsure about what qualifies, it’s a good idea to consult with a tax professional who can help ensure you're following all the necessary steps.
Benefits Beyond Tax Savings
While the immediate benefit of donation tax deductions is a reduced tax liability, the benefits of charitable giving go beyond financial savings. Donations support important causes, help communities in need, and contribute to the greater good. Plus, many people find that giving is a rewarding experience in itself, providing a sense of purpose and satisfaction.
Final Thoughts
Donation tax deductions offer a powerful way to reduce your tax burden while making a positive impact in your community. Whether you’re giving cash, goods, or time, keeping track of your donations and following IRS guidelines is crucial to maximizing your deductions. By staying organized and informed, you can ensure that your charitable contributions benefit both the causes you care about and your financial situation.
Always remember to check with a tax professional to ensure you’re taking full advantage of the deductions available to you. With the right planning, donation tax deductions can be a valuable part of your overall financial strategy.

Charity Food Donation: A Lifeline for the Needy by Niswarth Kadam
Food is a basic human necessity, yet millions of people in India face hunger daily due to poverty and inequality. To address this critical issue, charity food donation has emerged as a powerful solution to help those in need. At Niswarth Kadam, a leading NGO in India, we are dedicated to alleviating hunger through organized and impactful food donation initiatives, offering hope to families struggling to meet their daily food requirements.
Why Charity Food Donation Matters
In India, hunger and malnutrition remain prevalent, especially among the poor and marginalized communities. Many families survive on less than one proper meal a day, leading to serious health problems, particularly among children. Charity food donation provides immediate relief to these families by offering nutritious meals, ensuring that they do not go hungry.
At Niswarth Kadam, we believe that everyone deserves access to food. By organizing food donation drives, we ensure that surplus food from homes, restaurants, and events reaches those who need it the most, rather than being wasted.
How Niswarth Kadam Organizes Food Donation
As a responsible NGO in India, Niswarth Kadam takes a systematic approach to charity food donation. Here’s how we do it:
Collection: We partner with food donors, including individuals, restaurants, grocery stores, and corporate sponsors, to collect excess food. This helps prevent food waste while feeding the hungry.
Sorting and Packaging: Once the food is collected, it is sorted based on its condition, ensuring that only fresh and safe food is distributed. The food is then packed into individual portions to make distribution easy and fair.
Distribution: Our volunteers work closely with local communities to identify areas where the need is greatest. We organize charity food donation events in slums, shelters, orphanages, and rural areas, ensuring that food reaches those who need it the most.
Tracking and Accountability: To ensure that our food donation efforts are transparent and efficient, we maintain a database of the beneficiaries. This helps us track how much food has been distributed and ensures that each person or family receives their fair share.
The Impact of Charity Food Donation
The immediate impact of charity food donation is clear—hungry people are fed. But the long-term impact is even more profound. By providing regular meals, we help improve the health and well-being of the poor, reducing malnutrition and starvation. Children who receive regular meals are more likely to grow up healthy and attend school, while adults are better equipped to work and support their families.
At Niswarth Kadam, our charity food donation programs also create a sense of community and compassion. We engage volunteers from all walks of life, bringing people together to work for a common cause. Through these efforts, we not only feed the hungry but also inspire others to give back to society.
How You Can Support Charity Food Donation
The success of charity food donation initiatives depends on the support of compassionate individuals and organizations. Here are some ways you can help:
Donate Food: If you have surplus food, consider donating it to Niswarth Kadam. Whether it’s excess food from an event or extra groceries from your home, every donation makes a difference.
Monetary Donations: You can also contribute financially to help us organize food donation drives, purchase fresh food, and reach more people in need.
Volunteer: Join us in our food distribution drives. Your time and effort will directly impact the lives of the hungry.
Spread the Word: Share our mission with your friends and family. Raising awareness about charity food donation can inspire others to get involved and make a difference.
Conclusion
Charity food donation is a simple yet powerful way to combat hunger and bring relief to the poor. At Niswarth Kadam, we are committed to ensuring that food reaches those who need it the most, while reducing food waste in the process. As a leading NGO in India, we believe in the power of collective action and the importance of compassion. Together, we can create a hunger-free society and offer hope to millions of families in need.
If you would like to support our mission, we encourage you to get involved in our charity food donation programs. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a big difference in the lives of the hungry.
