Yesterday we had the chance to attend Foto/Industria: we saw 14 great exhibitions, in as many different locations around Bologna. And we also attended a beautiful and stimulating lecture by Jim Goldberg in the evening.

Thanks to Joan Fontcuberta, we had the chance to think about how sometimes (or always?) photography is just a sort of illusion. We admired great pictures by Rodchenko: the strong belief of ‘30s Russia in work and industrial manufacture. Mimmo Jodice reminded us of Italians that used to take the streets to defend their rights. Huge prints of "American Power" project by Mitch Epstein portrayed contradictions and consequences of energetic development in US. Koudelka’s black and white prints got us emotional, and Michele Borzoni's work displayed a detailed portrait of current Italian employment situation...

Many ideas, suggestions, thoughts, great and stimulating projects about the relationship between photography, industry and working life...

Congratulations again to @Fotoindustria and #FondazioneMAST for organizing one of the most interesting event about photography of recent years.
