so much is about to be declared illegal to a population that's been obeying-early all their lives, having grown up inside the panopticon & trained to see advertisers & congresspeople in a positive light.
scary shit
illegalism's time is back
getting connected with the people in your area, meeting people!, is key - after an emergency is not the optimal time
trade niceties early and often with everyone you see, even the ones you don't like! as long as they're not a cop
getting armed and familiar with self defense is crucial
learn systems that don't rely on corporations; don't use public media as a social network.
A lot of energy went into preventing you from forming actual communities, and the consequences have been devastating for all time.
Local physical reality is your beat. Your territory as a large, highly dangerous, unpredictable & high energy animal. Patrol your territory trading niceties with the other animals. Possess the area.
It's life or death stuff now.

Twitter is an oroborous.
It insists on itself in a way that only ends with its inevitable destruction, or the hollowing out of itself until it only exists, which it is already doing.
When I say that it “Insists on itself”, I mean that the website has created an ecosystem that is entirely self sufficient of anybody. Politicians can tap into what is essentially free clout and the last bastion of humanity on there (overwhelmingly made up of O.G. Verified, “high society” fellows) will eat it up because the numbers are big. There is quite literally no other reason I could see for why they eat it up as fervently and fanatically as they do.
Bot farms add their accounts to the site to communicate with other bots, with what is most likely other bots reporting on themselves. All that interaction happening at once is what allows twitter to essentially print infinite money as long as nothing changes about the monetization system, which is very beneficial to whoever owns it.
The worst part is that News organizations act like none of this is happening! That all of the interactions that are happening there are from other people!
No one high up in the chain of everything seems to have gotten this yet, so they still treat twitter as the thing it was about 15 years ago. It isn’t.
I’m not even on that robo-vortex and I can still see it for what it is.

Quietly losing my mind over the fact that Elon Musk has straight up orchestrated a coup of our executive branch and like....I don't even know what, if any, system we have in place to fix this. Like... He's just taken control of the money and locked out the actual appointed officials. What the fuck.

When I was a kid, I regularly lost reading privileges for "having an attitude" and "acting out".
It wasn't as simple as being told not to read during other activities- one of the first times it happened, I remember being six years old, watching my stepfather pull fistfuls of books off my bookshelf and throw them to the floor in a heaping mess while I cried and asked him to stop.
It was weird. Every other adult I knew described me as exceptionally well-behaved, but at home, it was the opposite, and it was blamed on "learning bad habits from that shit you're reading".
Because I couldn't read at home, I spent all my free time at school in the library, reading with my friends.
When I grew up and moved away, I realized that my family life was toxic and abusive, and the "attitudes" I was being punished for were standing up for myself, standing up for my younger siblings, and resisting actual, real-life psychological abuse. Because I'd learned from what I'd read that my family wasn't normal, not like my parents said it was, and in my stories, the heroes were the people who spoke out when it was hard to.
It is insane to me that there are students right now who can't access books. It is insane that books are being outlawed. It is perverse that we are stealing away an entire generation's ability to contextualize their lives, to learn about the world around them, to develop critical thinking skills and express themselves and feel connected to the world or escape from it, whatever and whenever and however they need.
That is not how you raise a compassionate, thoughtful, powerful society.
That's how you process cattle.
It's fucking disgusting.

I'm imagining a Noir P.I. looking over the most crime-ridden city in the world, thinking the lyrics over in his head. they take their flask of liquor, kick it back, put it in their suit pocket. They take their pack of cigs out, and struggle to light one as the rain kicks up.
"Do you like waffles?" they think to themselves.
"Yeah...We like waffles."

I cannot stress enough to you that all American government agencies are falling apart at the seams right now and they will not be put back together for the foreseeable future. EPA DHS ED VA FDA NIH IRS CDC HHS NPS etc... Elon Musk is dismantling everything. Anyone who resigns or is laid off now, the word we (I am an agency employee) are receiving internally is that their position will be abolished, not backfilled.
Do you like eating clean, safe food?
Do you like having clean, safe air and water?
Do you want experts monitoring developing infectious diseases?
Do you like getting tax returns?
Do you want your children to have free, quality, public education?
If so, you need to write to your senators and representatives RIGHT NOW. Trump is not obeying the rule of law. He is illegally firing all the inspectors general of these agencies (they are literally being escorted by security out of their offices) so that there is no one left to stop him from doing quite literally anything he wants. He has bypassed the internal structure of all of the agencies by plugging in external email servers to push typo-filled emails and memos written by employees of the heritage foundation directly into the inbox of every federal agency employee in the country, threatening to terminate them.
The rule of law is dead. The only mechanism left to stop any of this is mass public outcry via convincing your state's congressmen & women to do something, because right now they are staying absolutely silent and none of us in these agencies can figure out why. A massacre is happening right now and every single American will feel the material, concrete consequences of this in their daily lives very soon if nothing is done.
Please help me boost this information.
