(Eng) The new clip for the song "Alsahwa" from the latest album of the GOTARD project "Dharma" is a short story about the search for higher truth, the purpose of existence and the ultimate break with cultural and social limitations to listen to the voice of one's own mind and heart.

The world is superflat now, but ironies abound
Transcendence isn't dead, it just went deeper underground
Within this 'no infinity' infinity is found
The lack of deeper meaning's getting deeper all the time
'Cotton Eye Joe' may just be joke folk techno
But tonight it had me crying
So folk me Amadeus one more time

Gilroy Mere - Bicycle Ballet - from his forthcoming Clay Pipe Music album Gilden Gate
Oliver Cherer is back with a new Gilroy Mere record which follows on from his other much lauded Clay Pipe releases (The Green Line, Adlestrop and last year’s D Rothon collaboration, Estuary English). Over the last two decades Ollie has released numerous collections of music in an ever shifting array of modes, from folktronic, singer-songwriter styles through psychogeographic electronica to jazz-tinged, confessional ghost-pop and most recently, the “guitar tainted machine rock disco” of Aircooled.
Gilden Gate is an album of two halves. Side 1 ‘Rising’ celebrates the sun-drenched beaches, pastures and heaths of rural Suffolk, whereas Side 2 ‘Falling’ explores the underwater world of the lost city of Dunwich and its five church spires.

Review: Lee Switzer-Woolf’s dark folktronic single ‘Flying Saucer Working Party’ explores a haze of raw metallic tones in plea to escape the mundane
Reading-based singer-songwriter Lee Switzer-Woolf may have only begun sharing his musical releases two years back, but in the meantime, he’s put out an astonishing two albums and a handful of singles that express his unique blends of alternative, folktronica and rock. Crafted at home, his releases carry through that sentimentality you can only really find when artists carefully piece together every inch of their music themselves, delivering much more than just a song but a slither of true personality and care in itself.
His newest single ‘Flying Saucer Working Party’ is no exception to that, but this time taking a step away from the Folktronica of his first two albums and leaning fully into a fuller, darker and more electronic sound. This slow, uneasy setting of the scene is instant, capturing the listener between a grungey middle-ground of deep, muted bass twangs, steady thumping drums and clashing tinny percussion, a looping industrial feeling soundscape that’s hard to escape. Lee’s spoken-sung vocals complement it all perfectly, a raw-toned release in every aspect while placing lyrics that are completely unavoidable in front of you to hear and understand, carrying much more meaning than you’d anticipate from a song titled ‘Flying Saucer Working Party’. From lines like ‘fridge magnet poetry, no one in the mirror, lying about the price of things’ there’s an immediate disconnect to reality, painting a picture of not just uncertainty but straight-up impossibilities as Lee sings of the eternal struggles of normalcy and domesticity we all face.
This dream-like state of distortion is continued by added backing vocal layers, a haze that makes the sound feel foggy and unclear, picked up by striking synth notes and metallic clashing percussion. Intended to be otherwordly in many ways, the sound is almost guaranteed to take you away from everything you know, covering the promise of abduction from the constraints of the mundane and how we weigh that against our feelings of insignificance in the world. Through the poetic lines like ‘I’m too heavy to be carried’ we feel the weight of Lee’s words, a depressing reflection on how the world can truly hold us down at times. This continues further as the track plays out, admitting ‘leave those copacetic moments in your head, come to bed, ‘cause we can medicate it in the morning’, seemingly reliant on medication to escape the same cyclical patterns we often feel trapped within.
It’s hard not to hear and relate to some aspect of ‘Flying Saucer Working Party’, transporting you elsewhere in lyricism and sound for an experience you’ll hold with you for a lifetime. Just be sure to listen for yourself here, you won’t regret it.
