bog witch and blood boy go on a tadpole adventure (featuring @foemantic's dark urge sicarius/damascus)

nobobdy isn't technically a dark urge, she is a hexblood with bhaalspawn ancestry. she got "mauled" by "a wolf" one day when she was shephering outside rivington, and instead of being normal about it, her innate magic brought her back to life and that same night she showed up covered in blood and near-catatonic at the cult hq under baldur's gate. sicarius saw her as a blessing, an immaculate conception sorts, another child of bhaal brought to them by his own acts of murder most foul; beset by divine madness and unable to shut out the voices of the dead, nyx had no choice but to embrace her new family. she was wholly devoted to the dark urge. unfortunately, her brains were pretty scrambled even before getting tadpoled, and when sicarius started to struggle between gortash and bhaal, nyx knew exactly what was going on... and encouraged sicarius to pursue gortash romantically... which resulted in sicarius murdering her once again. except this time bhaal did not give her back. :)

nyx's pod crashed in ethel's swamp, and the hag was like, it's free girl! so she became ethel's apprentice for a while. she now goes by "nobody" ("who, me? i'm nobody"), and while she doesn't remember any specifics from before the nautiloid, she remembers that this gangly murder creature is her brother, and she loves him. they'll figure out the rest of it together.

Headcanon A:  realistic

Cassie doesn't realize she's a lesbian until she's in her twenties or thirties. I do think she MAYBE realizes she's attracted to women sooner, but god, she's so deep into comphet.

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

Cassie and Tim are both trans and met as children, but they don't recognize each other as teenagers. Also, they fucking hated each other as kids (because their parents hated each other).

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

I don't know if this is necessarily HEART-CRUSHING, but I've got a fun and sexy AU where Cissie is murdered after she and Cassie get together, and then Cassie has sexy foemantic tension with Rose. And Cassie is constantly mourning Cissie.

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

Cassie is a lesbian. While DC wants us to live in that reality, in my real world, Cassie is still friends with Cissie, Anita, and Greta. I think it's such a shame that we've lost her close friendships with the girls over the years.

Headcanon A:  realistic

In a world where he wasn't the Human Torch, Johnny would ideally be a househusband. He just wants a nice, quiet life with a family, a spouse, and kids. Unfortunately, he has halfway accepted that this may not be in the cards for him.

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

God, I love Johnny so much, but I like to make him suffer more than anything so this took so long. This isn't exactly a headcanon, but throwback to when i sent my friend @anti-solidcoffee this pic and her response was "I saw that and the first thing I thought was that Johnny is definitely a bottom and I've never been so immediately sure of something like that before"

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

One day, long after Johnny gets married to Wyatt whoever he actually married, he'll wake up in the middle of the night, convinced that his spouse is a Skrull. He'll wake them up in the middle of the night to do the quiz, the one he's made to make sure all of the people in his life are who they say they are. They pass. But even so, Johnny will lay there, still half-scared that he's wrong, and he can't even tell the person he loves most because he doesn't want to hurt them.

Sadly, the idea that Johnny will ever be able to acknowledge that Lyja raped, abused, and gaslit him openly at least within his family instead of continuing to be gaslit into believing he's a manwhore when at most it's a trauma-response (if not just a front). But I still long for the concept of Johnny actually being able to come to terms with his trauma. And I will continue to write fics about it.

top 9 first time watches in 2021

this lil exercise made me realize i barely watch movies. so im kind of cheesing it. im sure there are other movies i have watched for the first time this year but i cant for the life of me think of them. this is in no particular order:

hilda and the mountain king (2021)  ive really enjoyed the artistic style of the hilda show as well as the plot and characters. the movie is a great culmination of the show with a satisfying and perfectly tightly tied narrative.

the matrix (1999)  i felt obligated to watch one of the matrix movies before watching the newest one. it’s a very compelling and interesting world theyve created! agent smith...... i liked.

the matrix resurrections (2021)  it was fun! i had a fun time watching this movie. seeing jonathan groff play agent smith was a real hoot. seeing how different living in the real world (all their advancements and strawberries and integration) was very cool and felt right.

pan’s labyrinth (2006)  thank you @mediocritea for making me watch this movie. bowie is a dream. all the puppet animals were so charming. i cant remember any of their names. fancy pants lil sword man: love him. big big furry boy: big love.

twilight breaking dawn part 2 (2012)  yes ive seen the twilight movies before. well, i had definitely seen the first two before. but i’d never finished the rest. and i had never watched them all back to back. i did that this year. for whatever reason. so this counts as four. honestly, it was fun. i dont regret it. theyre so bad it was a delight. michael sheen ate up that hokey villain role.

the suicide squad (2021)  watching this with @sharkodactyl was so fun and funny. i genuinely liked several of the characters (ratcatcher 2, king shark, harley, even polka-dot man).
