when i was still into Friday Night Funkin', there was a trend going on deviantart where people would make ocs based off of the Sky character from a certain FNF mod (VS. Sky). these would be included in something called the Skyverse & i took part in it. i posted about 3 different ocs around that time, but i had another one in my sketchbooks. her name was SkyChrome because her manifest form had the ability to turn things black, white, & grey. her ability somehow reminded my Tally Hall brainrot-filled ahh of Hawaii Part II for some reason. so now because of that, i redesigned her into a demon artist who has an obsession with Miracle Musical!

Into, Across and Beyond! Cast: The Funkin' Crew

Origin: Friday Night Funkin' (most of the group); VS Sky (basis for ErrorSky)

"Aww, yeah! That's how you do it!" - Grace Dearest/Girlfriend

"I already lost one iteration of my best friends, and I'm not going to let another meet that same fate." - Pico N. Grounds

"It makes no sense for me to be held by the shackles of my past. I have friends who need me in the present AND the future!" - ErrorSky

The gang from Philadelphia; an aspiring music artist, a daughter to a demon family, a ginger-haired bounty hunter, and a fangirl of the formermost. Each of them have had their major points in history, and here in IAB! is no different. However, these aren't entirely the same Boyfriend, Girlfriend, Pico and Sky fans have grown to appreciate over the years. This story focuses on an entirely new group.

The important point that kickstarted their new story was the events of Mario's Madness, which led to the deaths of Boyfriend and Girlfriend at the hands of Ultra M, and Pico being stuck wandering in the haunted cartridge until he came across some strange being that reset the ENTIRE FNF universe and created a new iteration; Dimension FNF-NEW-2023.

Right away, there are some changes; the counterparts of Boyfriend and Girlfriend are vastly different, being dubbed "Benjamin" and "Grace" respectively, and it's through this that gives Pico a new connection to them. He just wanted them to be together in this timeline, too, and cared very much about their wellbeing. Granted, Benjamin did date Pico for a bit during high school, though they broke up for Ben's safety after the school shooting.

Speaking of that attack, Pico had remembered meeting his counterpart from Dimension DS-2022, and took a hint from him; he went straight for Cassandra to ensure lives could be saved from the shooting, and thanks to that, Pico had less of an interest in professional work than he once did. As it happened, he was the only one whose memories remained intact after the big reset.

In this universe, quite a bit had changed. Benjamin and Grace were both instead high-school students, and though Benjamin lacked the very high levels of bravery his original self did, he's still done his best to tackle the challenges laid before him. He's also more careful around asking people to sing with him, and holds off if that person isn't in the mood for it.

Benjamin and Grace's families were also bigger in this new universe. Taking a page from MizanPloz's Genderswaps mod and other mods, their families include parents (fresh ones in Ben's case), siblings (including their younger "genderswap" counterparts, Kaity and Chris) and cousins. And the two even made new friends out of those they had singing matches with, which Pico really enjoyed seeing.

As for ErrorSky, she ended up coming into the new universe as an accidental anomaly, and found herself admiring Benjamin like most iterations of Sky would admire their Boyfriends. Predictably, it backfired in her face, but she came out of it not wanting to intrude on Benjamin's love life. Unfortunately, she became a prime target for the monster known as Toxinfect, but with help from one of the other victims of his wrath, she overcame the monster and guaranteed her escape, even reconciling with Benjamin and Grace afterwards.

During that same time, the Corruption struck Philly, courtesy of the Lemon Demon, though it lasted two weeks in total, and unfortunately for the Monster, it grew in sentience and soon betrayed him. Thankfully, Benjamin, Grace, Pico and their companions were all able to fight off the virus and get rid of it, alongside killing the Harvester. And better still, they got on Daniel Dearest's good side permanently thanks to this. If Agent Blueballs' foothold on canon events were to apply here from Funkinverse, then the Corruption is their shared canon event, though Benjamin wanted time out of the public spotlight afterwards.

After both these events, ErrorSky became besties with Benjamin and Grace, preferring to remain at a friend level to make up for her prior advances, though has been blushy in Grace's presence as well as Benjamin's. It's sometime after that the blasted cartridge incident came back, this time in the form of a disc with Mario AND Sonic horrors within. This time, they avoided death, freed SHM from the confines (who was Victim #1, or "Madeline") and overpowered Xenophanes, who was the REAL mastermind behind it. Along with this, the Corruption tried to claim Benjamin again in his doubts, but has since been on Venom-esque terms with him after being neutralised.

Once that was all said and done, the four discovered the path into the Errorverse via an interdimensional portal. Thanks to going through it, they ended out aging down into teens, like Nitro and his siblings before them. Thanks to this, they ended up becoming more involved in the quests of those in this dimension; helping free the Literature Club girls from their game for good, Benjamin giving a kid dubbed "AE M." companionship (and leading to them becoming boyfriends), fighting off evil corporate businessmen and sentient viruses, and further expanding Benjamin's music scene overall.

Speaking of that, the influence of Funkin' culture has happened to be part of the multiverse's music scene, even if it's not to everyone's tastes. And it just so happens that it seems to be popular in Dimension MP-2021, especially with OMT!Tails. It's to the point where, when CR!Sonic told him to keep calm about the wall-clinging in One More Hero, he did some of the beatboxing from "Fresh" to keep him steady. Of his composed songs, of course, Benjamin isn't too proud about "Really Happy" from Sunday Night, considering its nature and the awful screen-shake effect it caused.

This later leads into More than One Universe, the point where Benjamin and his crew are brought into the events via the Errorverse link. Through this, they each lent a hand in apprehending the villains that had leaked through into the OMT universe. During this time, however, Benjamin almost fell victim to demonic possession from the Puhoi curse, with three outcomes; him escaping solo with Soul BF, him losing and branching into becoming Bently, and, in the case of the scenario post-EV-rewrite, Nitro interfering before it can hold for long.

After the end of it, Benjamin was happy to sign an autograph for OMT!Tails, since the kid was a pretty big fanboy of him, and EV!Sonic saw quite the potential in him, since Benjamin was an angel in this shared universe. The following day was when Pico finally came clean to Benjamin about the timeline reset, which he took pretty well, all-in-all. And that Christmas, he met Soft Benjamin (a younger incarnation) for the first time, he, the Mikus and Dearests gave the Fairests their karma and prompt arrest, and he decided to adopt Softie into his family, which the kid was really happy about. It's through Softie that he got to meet his other counterparts from other universes (like Neo, B3, Minus, B-Sides, D-Sides and Arrow Funk).

Amongst other things, he has also been taking good care of Evan from FNF: Childhood Memories, and helps babysit him each Sunday in his free time, the time they spend together reigniting some of Benjamin's childhood memories. Since Evan and Holly obviously aren't suited for combat, it's why neither actually appear in the base stories, as I've planned to instead feature them in more casual slice-of-life storylines to tie in to the mod while work on it continues.

Sometime after this was when The X struck during one of Salty's crusades, and the attack left Sunday, roommate of Carol and good friend of Ben and Grace, with protanopia, meaning they can't see red anymore. When Cam (Agent Blueballs) tried to recruit Benjamin into the Funkin' Society using Kenji as association, this backfired massively, and due to Benjamin's well-respected position amongst the Boyfriends, this quickly earned Cam even MORE ire amongst counterparts across the multiverse), including from the original Soft Pico.

After The X was successfully detained by the Quill Society, which took more work than you'd think despite him being weaker by the events of IAB!, EV!Sonic approached Benjamin for a potential place in the Quill Society, which he accepted, though was confused about.

As EV!Sonic explained later, Benjamin (alongside BluBuni) was offered this place due to a mix of him being an angel, him sporting the ECHO ability to keep pace with hostile villains, and indirectly hailing from a SEGA property thanks to his ties with Hatsune Miku. These were enough to give Benjamin his position in the group, and he was able to increase his connections through it. ErrorSky also joined in, having built her own community with other Skys. That said, she dislikes Miko a LOT, due to her being an internet jerk.

As for Pico, his quest to ensure a better future for his friends paid off, and he could get his closure for the original BF and GF in that their legacy would live on through his newer friends and their families.

To count any canon events each of the crew have gone through (relative to Blueballs' way of thinking in the Funkin' Society):

Benjamin:

He had dropped out of high school, though not immediately, only after the Corruption was gone to ensure it couldn't hurt any of his classmates.

Benjamin has three companions supporting him together; Grace, Pico and ErrorSky. The latter two are not committed relationships, which isn't a requirement.

The bad song Benjamin composed was "Really Happy", and he's actively not proud of it.

Benjamin has fought off the Corruption when it struck his world, and has never encountered or been claimed by any denizens of the Darkness.

Grace:

Like Benjamin, she only dropped out of high school in the aftermath of the Corruption.

Grace has Benjamin as her main supporting companion.

She encountered the Corruption much like her friends, though was never claimed by the Darkness.

Pico:

Pico dropped out of high school in the aftermath of the shooting incident, like his original self did, and moved to mercenary work. However, in the new timeline, it's only undercover work to get Daniel Dearest back on a good side.

Pico's supporting companions, as usual, are Nene and Darnell, though he's yet to make things click romantically with either.

Pico, as per his canon event, took a stand against the Corruption first-hand and aided in eradicating it after being freed. He also had to fight off one Darkness infectee and came out no worse for wear.

He lost the original Boyfriend and Girlfriend in his canon event.

ErrorSky:

As per tradition for Sky variants, ErrorSky had crushed on Benjamin in the past, though saw what she was doing was wrong.

Her parents died through her canon event, courtesy of Toxinfect.

Benjamin's top-selling songs:

Benjamin usually plays cards with and goes out for dinner at McWave's with Melodii and Parappa every Friday. He babysits Evan on Sundays.

ErrorSky actively dislikes Miko and has gone to great lengths to vandalise her twisted social media acts for the sakes of others. She's also actively at odds with Faker Sky, those two being the ONLY Skies she hates.

Pico had been twice-shy around Nene, having once kissed her cheek to cheer her up, but feeling extremely embarrassed about it afterwards.

Benjamin has enacted the famous pointing meme with B-Sides Boyfriend and Blue BF before.

And on the note of people using mods as a substitute or "replacement" for the main game: yeah. Lowkey kinda hate how instead of the actual official characters getting any love, it's creepypasta mod number 8372 that everyone fawns over.

I miss people simping over GF's parents. I miss all the theorizing around Senpai and especially Spirit. I miss when people gave a damn about BF and GF outside of just throwing them into crossover scenarios where they aren't even used properly.

I even unfollowed the FNF tag on AO3 because there are NEVER any fics just about the main FNF cast anymore, and even the ones that are are set in the continuity of a mod, like Corruption.

Honestly a part of me does wanna analyze FNF in the context of Canon vs Fanon because the fact that so many more people are interested in the fanon is FASCINATING to me.

Like FNF already is a crossover so that element isn’t tooooo surprising but the fact it’s so prominent in fanon is fascinating.

And the way in which fan characters have been implemented too-

Like characters like Carol, Whitty, Sarv and Ruv, Hex, Sky, Sunday, Taki, Tabi etc, these are good characters! But the fact they’re treated on the same level of popularity (or even more) then the ACTUAL GAME CHARACTERS is so interesting

But all Vanessa heard was gibberish in all honesty. She couldn't understand it. It also didn't sound like her when she was younger ..

As Vanessa was backing away while her younger self kept on talking (sometimes she thought she heard "proud" being repeated many times).

Suddenly the world/area around them both became monochromatic. Dull in colors (even if it was already dull. It became even duller. At first it still had colors, still some brightness. But now it's all dull. So black, grey and white).

Both of the girls then became colored in crimson, with Vanessa's younger self being also duel colored; red mixing with the crimson blood and brown for her connections of being dirty (being a liar, a criminal, and a backstabber).

Vanessa was duel colored; red mixing with crimson blood but she had a light blue to her. Reminiscent of a hospital bed, and her gown, but ... It also seemed like she was in the sky.

Wings spread across them both, and they became even more drenched in blood. The only thing that keeps them separated is how younger Vanessa acts and how Vanessa has an area where there is the most blood at (her stomach area! Not her hands. - it makes her feel all the more sick. It's always made her feel sick and dirty and disgusting. She wanted to throw up ever since she started doing all of this. Her fault ....her fault. Oh, they are all going to hate her. So bad. She just knows it!).

The mirror has cracks in it.

Everything around them is cracking —

both of them are being held by a chimera of sorts.

Wings, scales, and fur. That's all they are feeling. They feel bird claws piercing their shoulder blades. But they both felt light.

The being that is holding them?

No matter.

The pupils of everyone and everything keep on staring at Vanessa (not her younger self..no no. She's also staring). They are huge enough, only showing a tiny sliver of white, as if they are like cats.

Waiting for the free food to fall.

Waiting for their prey.

But both of them are rabbits.

The younger one and the present one.

The chimera never stopped flying in the sky.

“ARE YOU PROUD OF ME FATHER?” (Vanessa doesn't know why she remembers it so vividly, and so loudly too. It echoes in her mind)

Strings fell from the sky, and wrapped around present Vanessa. Pulling her into the galaxy.

Last thing she saw was, the chimera and how he (Garrett .. but he looked too similar to Abby. A mix of Mike and Abby's features) was going down to try and get Vanny up. ... And away from the fire to not forever burn her away.

FNF vs SpongeBob Parodies: The Apocalypse AU

An AU that takes place in a distant future, AKA: If Lila Sky Did Take Over the World

Apocalypse Sick Boyfriend. He is ready for the epic battle. He obtained some injuries on his body, including cuts on his arms and legs that resulted in him getting treatment at the First Aid clinic. He also lost his hat in an epic battle against Russian soldiers, who also gave him three scars across his face. He managed to survive the war.

Apocalypse DrugFriend. He was pretty scared to go up against Lila Sky's minions. He gained injuries on his body, and lost his left eye, which results in the half-face eyepatch on his face. He carries a syringe on his back that is also a cure for every single disease in the world. He also lost his beanie against a bunch of Russian soldiers. He fights alongside Apocalypse Sick Boyfriend, and many others.

25% of people had died. But all of the original vs SpongeBob Parodies Mod characters, including all PonyCentral's, survived. Because unicorns can't die. They are immortal, even in an intense apocalypse. Unfortunately, all of the Bee Swarm Simulator need were declared dead, except for Crimson Bee, who seemed shelter in her bunker.

I kinda wanna make this entry public since I wanna air out my stinky thoughts about making things and stigmatism towards making certain things that are great but the fandom is horrid-

Yes it's about Friday Night Funkin Mods, scroll past now if you don't want to read it.

Ok now imma get into a niddygriddy. FNF mods used to be such a niche little thing to make that people can appreciate. And whenever I saw a new mod pop up in my youtube reccomendation feed, I would be curious and genuinely intrigued about the mod itself and what it offers.

Early years of the modding community kinda just uprooted the game's engines to make their own kind of thing. It was so cool that the vs Whitty mod was able to make an original story based on week 7's code, then vs Hex came out and that mod did a mid song sprite switch with zero lag!

Then later on uh hm I'm struggling with a specific mod to mention but later on there would be mid song animations that are probably based on BF's "YEAH" animation then later on shaders which not even I know how they did THAT

But then out of nowhere people started making their mods more gimmicky. A huge difficulty gap would just be the main reason why a mod is popular, when vs Whitty did it that mid at least had good music to pair with it that contextually makes sense. Combat Madness is a hardcore classic newgrounds series and Whitty is a crazy zombie clown so it only makes sense.

Then who the fuck thought Matt from WII SPORTS SHOULD HAVE UBER FAST SCROLL SPEED ON TOP OF A BUSY CHART BE A GOOD MOD TO MAKE??

I can't even say the music for that mod sounds good, it eventually just sounded like a Nokia phone ringtone.

Mind you later on bbpanzu made a neat little rhythm heaven inspired mod called Golf, and it's gimmick is like rhythm heaven. You press buttons to the cue. If the vs Matt mod had done something similar it would've been a delight to see people replicate Wii Sports mini games in FNF! Imagine tennis but you sing and swing to the beat. That would've been a better gimmick than horrid charting.

And now comes in the big thing FNF is now more imfamous for. A general toxic culture that's somehow worst than Twitter. Wait no IT IS Twitter.

Remember that bbpanzu guy I mentioned earlier? He's a talented creator, being able to make really amazing things like vs FL-Chan, helped with vs Miku, that Golf mod from earlier. He would then make vs Sky, a mod based on a kid's FNF OC that the mod takes the idea and makes it this whole vibe of 2010 YouTube animations with its music and everything.

I personally really liked this mod for its portrayal of a much more innocent time every content creator has, hell any 2000s kid would have. And it was really cool how she got annoyed mid song.

And then bam, porn. Some assholes bombarded the original creator's Discord server with porn of their character. Then talks about how old the Sky character and the creator cropped up questioning the morality of the concurring events. People were taking the very leverage of a kid's creation to justify a Discord porn raid, all because the original creator made a couple of edgy and suggestive lowbudget videos on their tiktok. What's worse was that bbpanzu saw all of this and blamed himself for the events and eventually took the mod down to divert the harassment towards the original creator of Sky.

But that was just the calm before the storm, then comes FNF's rushing popularity. Which said popularity comes with kids. Despite the fact that this very Friday Night Funkin isn't exactly for preteens. Hell the original game has blue balls pulsing on the game over screen how the fuck is this shit even for that young of an audience. But like how FNaF has its fair share of young audience and drama, so did FNF.

I want to at least preface that, this is the internet. People of many age range use it and post what they want. Which is a finnicky place for a growing mind to be at. Then here the script says things about bad things happening to young kids will always happen. I'm ranting, and I'm upset that FNF now just has this surface level impression of low respect. That people don't take it as seriously now.

And with that also comes with the usual content milking the internet will do and many people just get trample over just to get a quick buck by putting tits on a character and whatever click bait bs people use nowadays.

And then mods that were novel on top of a strong start ends up getting canceled because of internal issues and impossible demands.

FNF Modding is a nonprofit hobby.

And when people start demanding things, the enjoyment of that hobby will go away.

I'm just hoping FNF modding will still push on to making it more accessible for people like me that want to make mods for myself without much coding knowledge. In someways we are there but the instructions are still really confusing and people seem to have just stopped making tutorials on how to make FNF mods in certain engines.

Tankfamily Headcanon time!! but it's detailed and they're about each member's personal relationship/experience with Pico and Sky. I'm starting off with Ted because why not

Listen, the "Ted dislikes baby Pico a lot" thing is so funny and iconic. But consider: he did dislike him at first, but grows to love him like family

Ted, the intense guy, the terrifying sniper among the Tankmen. He's one of the tankmen who gives his all in the war, and he's someone who Captain often listens to. Either it be his war stories, or suspicions. So it was a surprise for him when Captain didn't listen to his concern about adopting a random baby

Just when Ted thinks things wouldn't get worse from there, Captain brings in a child-disguised WEAPON from their last mission. Has he gone crazy?? two kids at once? They're not a daycare!

Nonetheless, these little midgets may have tricked Captain, but not him. He's gone through a LOT in the war. Two little-possibly-dangerous-babies aren't going to defeat him

He kept a distance, but you can imagine that it doesn't always end well lol. Pico's very friendly with him, and is confused as to why he's always looking at him weirdly. Sky doesn't care, she finds him funny and will chase him for fun

Few months later, and things changed between them when Ted was left to watch over them. It wasn't really by choice, he just happen to be the only one who was somewhat available at the time

Ted started to warm up with the kids from there. They were no longer a threat to him, he saw them as young curious innocent little souls

Ted would act like some kind of uncle them, the funny, rowdy bad-influence kind. All of the tankmen are honest with them. But for Ted? he's way too honest, to the point he doesn't bother to filter his words.

He'd play with them only when the tension of the war isn't his mind, which is pretty rare.

Sorry I haven't been posting as much on tumblr as I usually would, it's because my interesting have been changing from left to right these past few months. First it was Showdown Bandit, then I lost interest, I got into the Cuphead fandom, lost interest in that too, I then went into Friday Night Funkin and Cuphead (again), lost interest in those two again, I then got into some crossover stuff with different fandoms but then lost interest within a couple of days. Now I'm just...confused as to what to do. So...I will do an artdump of what drawings I have done and posted on DeviantArt.
