I'M SO GLAD YOU ASKED!!!

Tankdad is the idea where John Captain, Tankman, is Pico's dad. I'm pretty sure that this comic was the first instance of it but I know for sure that it gained popularity after Week 7 came out. As you know, I brainrot over it (my PFP for the past two years).

Some people consider it an AU, other people a headcanon—it's a headcanon for me. I'm pretty sure people agree that he's the adoptive father of Pico since he has a dad in canon but if people think he's the biological father then that's even more epic!!

Tankdad can also include Steve, too, whether it be as Pico's other dad or uncle. By extension, this opens up the Tankfamily idea, where the soldiers in the Tankmen universe are Pico's family members, adoptive or not.

I've seen people give the Tankdad idea hate and it makes me sad because it's meant to be a wholesome idea why do people think it's bad??? :(

Description: being known as the “crazy fangirl” was hard. Really hard. But I guess it could be worse.

Ugh. Where is he? As I silently waited for my brother, I looked around the area, scanning to see if they’d be here. And thankfully, I hadn't spotted them. As a small breath of relief escaped me a small red car pulled up near where I was standing. “Sky!!” a thick Norwegian accent screamed while I made my way over to the front seat. “Hey, Tord!” I muttered, fastening my seatbelt as the car pulled out of its spot.

Tord’s gaze quickly landed on me and then the road. “Sooo…” he muttered, “what do you want to do?” his attention mainly focused on the road, but I was a bit surprised by how… nice he was being? But I quickly brushed past it and said, “how about we get ice cream?” as my brother chuckled (probably due to the word cream) his lips caved in to a small smile. “Sure. Why not.” I clapped in joy as we stopped at the light, my eyes shifting to that of the street as the car took us to one of the best places in town.

When we finally pulled into the ice cream shop, my brother and I practically hopped out of the car, my excitement was through the roof. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad. As we both entered, the man at the counter greeted us with the usual fake joy. “Hello! Welcome to Ice Cold Custard, what can I get you today?” as Tord placed our orders I looked around at the shop. A small table, just outside of the building caught my eye. It was a small table for four and it had this beautiful pink and white umbrella. In the perfect spot to watch the cars and people walk by. It was always fun making fun of some of the other people who walked by, silent judgment being passed on as we would enjoy our cold treat.

As Tord handed me my cone, I looked up at him with a smirk. “Hey, mind if I snag the spot real quick?” his eyebrows furrowed for a moment before looking at the empty table. Then his eyes shifted toward me. “Go ahead, Askepott.” As soon as his permission had been granted, I dashed out of the shop and over to the table, sitting in the spot closest to a pot of flowers on the right, tapping my feet in excitement as I waited for my brother to pay. I suddenly jumped at the voice coming from behind me. “Well, well, well… look at what the cat dragged in~.” oh no.

My emotions of excitement dipped as I slowly turned around, my worst nightmare coming true as I looked at the trio of girls. There she stood in the middle, the mean queen Selene. And her stupid friends. “I didn't think you'd have the audacity to show your face in public, but I guess you can't stay inside forever huh?” she teased, her friends giggled as the girl on her right chimed in, “hey! At least her ‘friends’ finally took the hint to ditch her!” as their laughter filled the air I felt the anger rise in me. God, I wanted to scream at them. But instead, I just silently mumbled, “Leave me alone.” Selene suddenly perked up, approaching me as I scrunched into myself. Her cold hand suddenly grabbed and pinched at my cheek, her features leaning into mine as she sneered, “you know, Sky. A freak like you deserves nothing right? You're an embarrassment to everyone you know and I feel awful for Boyfriend.” I suddenly felt shock in my system, looking up at the beady-eyed girl as tears started to form. “You harassed the guy. How do you deserve anything?”

I sniffled as I shoved her hand off my cheek, tears strolling down my face as I muttered, “I said, LEAVE ME ALONE! I- I haven't done anything to you!” my empty hand clenched into a fist as the girl on Selene’s right muttered, “except stalk us.” as their laughter filled the air yet again, I went to take a step forward when something suddenly blocked my way, I looked up to see what in the hell I was looking at I realized it was Tord. I could hear his voice snarl as he looked at the three, leaning down as he asked, “do we have a fucking problem?” I could sense that the three were terrified. Selene’s breath caught in her throat as she responded, “uh well uh- we're uhh… friends! We're friends with her!” Tord merely chuckled, his laughter even sending chills down my spine. And I'm his sister for fucks sake. As Tord’s laughter ceased, he went back to his serious look. “Ah yes, because friends cry at your very presence? Is that how this works?” he asked, glaring at the three until one of them perked up.

“We're actually going somewhere else uhhh… see you.” as the other quickly dragged her friend's way, I used my arm to wipe my tears as Tord held my shoulders. “Everything alright?” he asked, his tone coated with concern. As I stared up at him, my eyes locked with his as I responded, “yeah, it’s chill.” I could tell that he was attempting to hold back a sigh, he quickly muttered, “uh- hey! Let's go to the arcade, hm?” my interest perked as he smiled at me. “I know my way there too, c'mon we got money to spend!” as Tord started to make his way toward the car, I licked at the cold treat in my hand. Wow… guess I'm pretty lucky to have him as a brother though, huh?
