When was the last time you smiled?

It was the early afternoon at the Schmidt household, bright sunlight pouring in from the windows and into the living room where Mike and Abby were sitting. Abby, of course, was drawing yet another picture on the coffee table seated on the floor. Mike was dozing on the couch, in and out of sleep as he was still recovering from last night’s shift. The girl looked up momentarily to look at her sleeping brother, noticing the heavy darkness that hung underneath his eyes. She exhaled, not entirely sure of how to help him in any way. 

After a few more minutes, she felt her stomach growling with hunger and she wasn’t sure of how to make any food for herself. Abby stood and stepped to her brother’s side, gently shaking his shoulder. “Mike?” She asked. 

He grumbled in response, shifting on the couch and turning his head away. Why’d she have to bother him now, when he was finally able to get some peaceful sleep? 

Abby huffed and prodded him in the arm repeatedly, to which Mike didn’t budge. She was only met with annoyed grunts, growls and grumbles.

Or, at least, that was until she accidentally missed his arm and poked him in the side. Mike jumped and actually *squeaked*, moving away from his sister as his eyes fluttered open. “Abby.. don’t…” He growled, clamping his arms to his sides as he slowly woke himself up to guard himself from his now mischievous sister. 

Abby smiled and continued to prod and poke him in the side as soon as she realized what was happening. Mike covered his face with his hands, hiding his slowly spreading wobbly smile as he stifled chuckles. “Abby..” He growled through clenched teeth, giggling breaking through his tough facade. His sister continued nonetheless, now moving her little hands to his abdomen, which caused the man to curl in on himself and fall into low giggling that he was clearly trying to hide. “St—stohohop..” Mike tried to warn, punctuated by strangely adorable laughter. “I don’t remember the last time I saw you smile.” Abby commented, crawling on top of her brother to scribble her small fingers between his ribs. Mike let out a squeak and fell into a fit of not-so-tired-anymore laughter. He was definitely awake at this point as he struggled to stifle his loud laughter threatening to pour out. “Staahp! Abby!” He arched his back to high heaven as he buried his face in his hands, shoulders bobbing with strong laughter. He was trying so hard not to throw her off, while also trying not to give his sister what she wanted.

“Mikeeeey, you have to just let go!” Abby giggled, trying to get him to uncover his face while also still jabbing her fingers into his side. The man snorted in the middle of his laughing, his face flushing a shade of red as he did so. “ABBS-! Thihis isn’t fUHUnny!” Mike protested, eventually flipping his sister off of him and onto the couch cushion. He heaved for breath, his face still flushed as he wiped a little bit of sweat from his forehead. “You’re such a tease..” He chuckled, poking Abby in the side. Though he wouldn’t admit it, Mike did feel a lot happier now… and he enjoyed being tickled at the end of the day. He needed the laughs.

And… he found himself making mac and cheese 10 minutes later.

I’m Oliver and I’m a 19 year old hobby artist from Germany ☺️

This is my first time being active active on here, soo.. I’m still new to this 🫶🏻

I’m autistic and I may have spelling mistakes because I’m dyslexic and I’m not a native English speaker (please don’t be mean if I write something wrong🥲🙏🏻)

I think it’s also important to mention that I don’t do commissions or anything because I’m a very slow drawer who takes lots of monthly breaks 😵‍💫 (but you can always ask/ DM me and I’m always reading asks/ DM’s ☺️ and if you’re lucky I might just draw you something if life isn’t too consuming and you’re not a demanding jerk entitled to my time)

There will be some more FNAF movie spoilers below the cut but I just had an idea that I NEEDED to share!

The moment I saw the springlocks dig into William's torso, my stupid tickle brain immediately thought about how the suit could potentially be repurposed into a tickle trap. Like, just imagine a few adjustments being made to the springlocks, like switching out the sharp pieces on the inside for something duller and adjusting the pressure with which they will dig in if triggered. One minute, William is gloating about how he's won, the next he's trying desperately to claw out of the suit as his ribs and sides are getting dug into in the most terribly ticklish way.

Just a thought, you know?

The Vest Thief

Summary: Abby hides Mike’s vest.

Mike and Abby are so precious and I love them. 10/10 sibling goals.

Mike’s patience was running thin. He loved his little sister with all his heart, but she was being incredibly difficult. He’d gotten dressed and was ready to walk out the door when he realized that he didn’t have his vest. Naturally, there could only be one culprit for the theft.

“Abs, come on… I gotta go to work. Can you please just tell me where my vest is?” Mike leaned against the doorway to Abby’s room, looking at his sister with a stern, yet pleading look.

The young girl sat cross-legged on her bed with her arms crossed over her chest, her expression one of pure stubbornness. She quickly shook her head.

“No! I’m keeping it hidden!” Came the bratty response.

The elder let out a sigh and rubbed his temples, clearly not in the mood for his sister’s shenanigans. At the same time though, he could tell that she wasn’t hiding it just for the fun of things. As if she read his mind, Abby spoke.

“I want you to stay here…”

Mike had a strong suspicion that that was the case. His expression softened and he let out another sigh, taking inventory of his options. It’s not like he could send her to her room… she was already there. Besides, that wouldn’t do any good, considering she knew where the vest was and he didn’t.

He suddenly got an idea… a way to get his vest back without making Abby hate him.

He slumped his shoulders and strolled over to the girl’s bed, kneeling in front of it to be at her eye level.

“You’re really not gonna tell me where the vest is, are you?”

As he expected, Abby, with a pout, shook her head vigorously, causing her short, dark hair to whack her in the face. Mike shrugged, getting back on his feet.

“Alright, Abs. I didn’t want it to have to come to this, but you leave me no choice…”

As soon as the words left his mouth, he swooped up his little sister and carefully pinned her to the bed, hovering over her. And then, without hesitation, he dug his fingers into Abby’s sides, causing her to squeal.

“Mike!!” Abby yelled through her giggles, wriggling around under her brother’s evil fingers.

“Where’s the vest, Abby?” Mike asked again. He was gentle, yet firm with his tickling, not wanting to hurt or overwhelm the kid, just wanting to know where his vest was.

“Mike, stohohop! I’m not telling!”

The elder raised an eyebrow, inching up to his sister’s ribcage, knowing it was a particularly sensitive spot. Abby’s response was a shrill burst of laughter and a whole lot of squirming.

“Oh, really? Then I guess I’ll just have to tickle you until you tell me.”

The younger yelped at the feeling of her brother’s nails scratching along her bare tummy, her laughter going up an octave or two.

Mike, despite trying to be serious (as serious as you can be when tickling your younger sibling to pieces,) could feel a smile tugging at the corners of his own lips, endeared by the sound of his little sister’s laughter. Abby didn’t talk very much, and when she did, it was mostly short replies or bratty remarks. Mike couldn’t remember the last time he’d seen Abby look so happy.

What was he doing? Oh, right… the vest.

“Abby, I’ve gotta leave in fifteen minutes. Either you tell me where the vest is, or this continues for the next twelve minutes.” Mike threatens, spidering his fingers around the girl’s stomach.

Overwhelmed by the tingly sensations in her stomach and mortified by the thought of this torture continuing for a whole twelve more minutes, the little thief finally caved.

“O-Okahahay! I’ll tell you where the vest is!” Squealed Abby, admitting defeat.

Seeing that the kid had had enough, Mike pulled away, crossing his arms expectantly. “Well?”

The child took a moment to gasp for breath before giggling out, “M-My pillowcase…”

Mike raised an eyebrow and slowly reached towards his sister’s pillowcase, keeping an eye on her in case she was setting him up and trying to make a run for it. When he felt a bunched up piece of fabric at the bottom of the pillowcase, he pulled it out and checked it for any marks or scribbles… not that Abby would do such a thing, but you could never be too cautious.

Once concluding that the vest was in perfect condition, he slipped it on and stood up, ready to head out the door. He then saw his sister’s melancholic expression and he sighed, kneeling down in front of her.

“Hey, I know we don’t really spend much time together anymore, but… I have tomorrow off.” Abby took her eyes off the floor to look at Mike instead.

“Why don’t you and I spend the whole day together? We could watch movies, play games, draw pictures together, even though I’m not an artist like you.” He smiled, tucking a stray hair behind his sister’s ear, getting her to giggle from his compliment.

She pretended to think about it, tapping her chin, which caused Mike to grin and gently shake her by the shoulder.

“Come oooon… say yes!”

The playful insistence made the young girl laugh and she finally gave in, pushing her brother away with faux exasperation.

“Okay, okay, fineeee!” Laughed Abby.

Mike’s grin softened and he stroked the back of his sister’s head. With some peace of mind, he started to head for the door before turning around again to look at the girl.

“Be good for Max, okay?”

“I will… even though I don’t like her very much.” Abby said with a cheeky smile, causing Mike to roll his eyes and stifle a laugh, not wanting her to think it’s funny to insult people, even though it kinda was…

Mike’s shift that night felt a bit easier than usual, the thought of spending time with his little sister getting him through.

He wouldn’t be making any excuses either. No matter what happened, he and Abby would be spending time together. After all… they were the only family they had left.

…

They had a mutual agreement that their aunt Jan didn’t count.

Sooooo I just saw the FNAF movie & OMG THE TICKLE SCENE IS SO CUTE

so basically when Abby first meets the animatronics, Mike hears a scream or two coming from where she is & rushes to save her

But he gets to her & she’s standing in the middle of all 4 animatronics crowded around her , Mike gets her out & she’s smiling bright & says

“They wouldn’t stop tickling me, I thought I was gonna die!” Smiling happily.

They were just tickling her & it was so cute 😭😭
