Tickled Pink

Jinu & Rumi

A/N: Back from vacation with a jet lag and a spontaneous new little fic! I watched this movie during my flight and loved it so much!

Summary: Things are funny when Rumi shows Jinu some internet memes, and they get even funnier when in the middle of it all, she discovers this demon is actually ticklish. (Also on AO3)

Word Count: 1.5K

The night was just for the two of them again. Although Rumi felt bad for keeping her nightly outings, apart from her whole identity, a secret from Zoey and Mira, she also couldn't help but feel... great.

She watched Jinu point at a distant billboard promoting the Saja Boys, looking all smug and proud, and where she might have felt extremely frustrated days ago, right now she felt... alright.

"Sure like seeing your own face everywhere huh?" Rumi said with a smirk.

Jinu shrugged. "It has its charms~"

"Do demons keep track of the internet as well? You'll be amazed to see what's all on there," Rumi said.

Amazed, pleased, disgusted, there were many emotions to go paired with everything hidden on the internet.

"I know about the intranet," Jinu said knowingly without really answering her question. Rumi rolled her eyes.

"Internet. Come here," she said as they stopped walking in an abandoned little park. Jinu accepted her invitation and stood right beside her. So close they were touching. Why did he have to smell so nice?

Jinu's tiger and bird were right behind them as if watching along while Rumi took out her phone to show them the treasures of the internet.

Saja Boys memes.

"Wow wow," Jinu said when she started scrolling, showing him meme after meme, including videos, GIFs, edits, and more. It took a simple Saja Boys search to find some of the best. She did not show him her secret hidden collection of her favorite Jinu memes though.

There were many. Some funny, some funnier, some cringeworthy, and some were just classic.

"People make these?" Jinu asked, frowning. He didn't really laugh at the ones that were supposed to be funny, but he did seem quite amused.

"Yup, people are creative. Wait until we check out the literature part. The fanfiction. Hehe... Tickled pink?" Rumi pronounced smugly as she showed him an edit where someone had made Jinu wear Baby Saja's outfit. His facial expression looked really happy and the text literally said JINU TICKLED PINK.

"Looks good on you," she added, grinning to see his surprised reaction.

"Huh? I'm not tickled, and I'm not pink," Jinu said, sounding adorably flustered to see the outfit swap edit. The pink sweater and yellow hat actually looked quite cute on him.

"Come on, I'm sure you've seen and done worse on those variety shows you're joining. Man oh man," Rumi chuckled. "By the way, you know tickled pink is just an expression right? Or wait, I forget I'm talking to the guy who thought 'Save the Date' actually meant..."

She paused, blushed herself, and stared for a moment to observe Jinu's expression.

"Don't tell me you're actually tickl-"

"No."

Rumi's eyes widened and she burst out in loud laughter. "That was not smooth Jinu. Are you ticklish for real? Did 'tickled pink' somehow trigger you?"

"Nah."

Jinu casually turned away and Rumi grabbed his shoulder and turned him back.

"What! Demons aren't ticklish! They can't be!" he chirped, his voice hilariously pitchy.

"Well, then prove it?" Rumi put away her phone and wiggled her fingers at him.

"No, you prove it!" Jinu argued and he caught both of her hands. For a fleeting moment Rumi held her breath when they held hands just like that, but then she shrugged.

"Sure, I will prove it." She swiftly pulled one hand free and tickled his side.

"HOOH!" Jinu let out the most hilarious shriek and jumped in the funniest way, inviting Rumi to laugh right along while keeping up her tickle attack. She had plenty of tickle wars with Zoey and Mira. Been there, done that.

"Hehehey! Come ohohon! Wahahah!" Jinu made a funny dance move while he tried to wriggle free, but Rumi was relentless. She grinned triumphantly to see how effective her attack was with immediate results.

"Demons aren't ticklish huh? So what does that make you? Not a demon? Just a ticklish Saja Boy?" She experimented with a few pokes a little higher, creeping her fingers up his ribs, and Jinu yelped and backed away.

His fluffy tiger stood behind him, making sure he wouldn't fall, and as he leaned against the tiger, Rumi made herself comfortable too.

"Thank you for helping, just keep him right there," she said sweetly, pinning Jinu in between her and the tiger and going for the tummy attack. Ticklish boys like Jinu were bound to have ticklish tummies.

"Ahahahha now thahat's n-nohohot fahahair!"

Very ticklish.

Rumi couldn't stop smiling. Of all the crazy things that happened lately, this had to be a favorite.

"Don't think that'll work," she said cockily when Jinu tried to tickle her back. She tickled him under his arms everytime he tried, making him drop his arms with the most entertaining squealing noises.

"AHhahah!" He threw his head back and squirmed. Who would have thought? A demon, defeated by mere tickling?

"I'm a hunter. You can't take me down," Rumi said, quickly shaking her head when that reminded her of the song she and the girls were trying to write. That seemed so faraway and distant right now, covered by the sweet blissful moment of tickling Jinu until his voice was making funny sounds.

"Ahahalright! Then I y-yield ahahah! D-dohohon't!"

"Already? Boring~ You're really that ticklish?"

So very amusing. The fact that despite being a demon, Jinu had still seemed very aware of the concept of tickling, even getting flustered just to hear the phrase 'tickled pink', would either mean he was a demon who observed people tickling each other, or that demons actively engaged in tickle fights among themselves.

The latter was a fun thought as Rumi imagined the Saja Boys going at one another. A demon tickle fight. Now that would give the internet some nice content. Were all Saja Boys this ticklish? Just Jinu? Did the others tickle him?

Rumi's thoughts and imaginations ended up distracting her just a little too much and all of a sudden within a quick flash, their positions had swapped. She now felt the soft fur of the tiger as she was pressed against the spirit animal with Jinu towering over her, looking breathless, pretty cute, and also vengeful.

"You - didn't - have - to - do - that," he said. Demon or not, he looked pretty defeated by all that. He really was that ticklish huh. Still smirking smugly, Rumi shrugged.

"I actually did. That was fun."

"Don't you think I'm not going to tickle you back?"

She shook her head, still confident. "I'd like to see you try."

Despite still looking flustered, Jinu smirked. "Challenge accepted."

Underestimating the demon she just tickled to death might be among Rumi's many regrets in life, but she could not even worry too much about this new regret. Within seconds Rumi found herself sprawled on the ground, literally, while Jinu attacked her with impressive and a little terrifying strength.

Didn't she just tickle him to death? Clearly not.

"EEEEHEEEEK! Nohooho- h-how cahahan you- heheeheheey!" Perhaps she had been a little too confident. But how could she not after making Jinu squirm the way he did?

"A ticklish hunter, noted," he said as if this ticklish demon had any right to be this smug about it.

"YOU AHHAHARE SO DEHEHEAD!"

"I thought you would like to see me try? This is me trying."

Him trying literally meaning wiggling his fingers all over her stomach and sides, her ribs, even under her arms, shit!

"OKAHAHAHAY! You wihihihin, ahahaha-eeeheheheeek!" Rumi usually wouldn't surrender this quickly, but the way Jinu was smirking at her while his fingers dug into her worst tickle spots, making her shriek and bounce in the most uncharming ways, it was just madness and so embarrassing!

"What did you just say?"

Bastard!

"YOU WIN - eeheeheheek!"

"Hmm, maybe this is how I can make you do anything for me. You know, surrender to us demons? Or... have the HUNTRIX run some errands for us? Anything should be possible?"

He really was a demon alright.

"STOHohop thihinking while-AAHahah!" Rumi kicked her legs and flailed her arms, accidentally hitting tiger a few times, inviting the animal to sit by her side and rub against her face as if to apologize for anything. The bird with its little hat did the same and sat by her side, spectating her downfall.

"YOU WIIIIIN! Jihihinu plehehease!"

The tables had turned big time. He stopped his attack and held out his hand.

"Alright. Friends again?"

.... Rumi caught her breath and hesitated for a moment, taking in all the thoughts and feelings that overwhelmed her right now, and they weren't just humiliation and embarrassment.

"We were never friends, geez!" was her flustered reply as she held onto the tiger instead and helped herself up. She hugged the fluffy animal and breathed heavily.

"Your owner is the worst demon ever," she whispered, and she turned her head to see Jinu finally continuing their walk. She smiled. The worst, but also very weak to tickling himself, and although he may have won this time, it was not something she would simply let go!
