Mod Mustang’s Big Day(s) Out 🫰🏻🔥
When Mod Mustang met Travis…
Travis was ABSOLUTELY LOVELY 🤩 He was so excitable, talkative and really made time for everyone there to see him 🥹🫶🏻
And, as promised, here is the art you all voted for in all its signed glory! 😉✍🏻
Plus here’s a full lowdown of the interaction he had with Mod Mustang whilst signing:
Mod Mustang has a pair of Roy’s ignition gloves (which they’ve used for cosplay before) that they wore when meeting him which elicited a “holy shit —the gloves!” 🧤 He noticed them straight away and shook Mod Mustang’s hand (he has a very firm grip! 😵)
A second “holy shit” came when Travis saw the art. Thanks y’all for helping to pick that one: he said it was “so fucking cool!”
The words that fell out of Mod Mustang’s mouth when they were finally able to speak: “I can’t believe I’m meeting you. Roy Mustang changed my brain chemistry!” 🤣 To which Travis responded “OMG really?” which led him to talk about how he loved FMA (2003) when it first came out, and that Roy was his favourite character (guess Roy Mustang must’ve changed his brain chemistry too! 🧠)
He also said how he wanted to be involved in Fullmetal Alchemist so badly, BUT he only ever auditioned for Roy as he was the only character he wanted to play! 🔥
He asked Mod Mustang which was their favourite: 2003 or Brotherhood? 😶
Mod Mustang said Brotherhood (pls don’t come for me 2003 fans!) to which Travis agreed that Brotherhood was also his favourite (“it’s got to be Brotherhood!”)
He was very sweet when saying goodbye, and shook Mod Mustang’s hand again! ❤️
Mod Mustang was also lucky enough to meet Travis again for a photo op! 📸 He remembered Mod Mustang from their gloves, and (despite the organisers saying “no poses” 🙄) he said straight away “WE HAVE TO DO THE SNAP!”🫰🏻🔥
Who says never meet your heroes? 😜
(Mod Mustang is also a HUGE Critical Role fan so they met Taliesin Jaffe and Liam O’Brien too who were both absolutely lovely! 🎲)
If any of y’all have any other questions or things you wanted to ask about Mod Mustang’s con experience, just shoot us an inbox!
- Mod Mustang & Mod Hawkeye 🔥🦅

Navigating FEMA Regulations for Builders: Key Insights
In the realm of builder compliance with FEMA regulations, the delicate balance between resilience and adherence is crucial. The escalating impact of natural disasters necessitates a deep understanding of FEMA's building codes, construction materials, and floodplain management standards. Yet, navigating FEMA regulations for builders involves overcoming significant challenges posed by the vast array of regulations, limited resources, and inadequate training. How can builders effectively tackle these obstacles to construct safer, eco-friendly buildings that align with FEMA's rigorous criteria?
Key Takeaways
• FEMA regulations require builders to adhere to specific building codes and construction materials to ensure properties are resilient to flooding.
• Inadequate training, limited resources, and confusing guidelines are common obstacles to FEMA compliance, compromising safety and sustainability.
• Builders must understand and comply with Floodplain Management Standards, including NFIP and FMA programs, to meet FEMA requirements.
• Conducting site analyses, designing with flood-resistant materials, and complying with FEMA regulations are crucial risk mitigation strategies.
• Developing a tailored compliance plan, designating a FEMA officer, and automating tracking tools streamline compliance processes and reduce risk exposure.
Understanding FEMA Regulations
FEMA regulations, which are designed to mitigate the impact of natural disasters, impose specific requirements on builders to guarantee that constructed properties can withstand flood-related hazards. These regulations dictate building codes, zoning laws, and construction materials to secure properties are resilient to flooding. By understanding and adhering to these regulations, builders can navigate FEMA requirements effectively, securing safer and more sustainable structures.
Common Challenges Builders Face
Despite the importance of adhering to FEMA regulations, builders often encounter obstacles that hinder their ability to comply with these stringent requirements, thereby compromising the safety and sustainability of constructed properties. Common challenges include inadequate training, limited resources, and confusing guidelines, making it difficult for builders to navigate FEMA regulations for builders effectively.
FEMA Compliance Requirements
In the field of floodplain management, builders must adhere to a complex array of standards and protocols to make certain that their projects meet the stringent requirements of FEMA compliance. Exploring FEMA regulations for builders involves understanding the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and the Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) program, among others. Compliance necessitates meticulous planning, design, and construction to guarantee structures can withstand flood events.
Mitigating Risk and Liability
Builders can substantially reduce their exposure to risk and liability by implementing proactive strategies to mitigate potential flood-related damages and losses. This includes conducting thorough site analyses, designing structures with flood-resistant materials, and ensuring compliance with Maneuvering FEMA regulations for builders. By taking these measures, builders can minimize potential legal and financial repercussions.
Streamlining FEMA Compliance Processes
Implementing efficient compliance processes is essential to navigating FEMA regulations for builders, as it enables them to allocate resources more effectively and focus on proactive risk mitigation strategies. To streamline compliance, builders can:
1. Develop a thorough compliance plan tailored to their specific operations.
2. Designate a FEMA compliance officer to oversee and implement regulations.
3. Implement automated compliance tracking and reporting tools.
4. Conduct regular audits and training sessions to guarantee ongoing compliance.
Conclusion
Best FEMA compliance requires a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements, strong risk mitigation strategies, and streamlined compliance processes. By overcoming common challenges and implementing efficient measures, builders can guarantee resilience to natural disasters, minimize potential damages, and allocate resources effectively. Ultimately, adherence to FEMA regulations is essential for creating safer and sustainable structures, and builders must prioritize compliance to safeguard communities and the environment.

WeWe Global Review 2024
About WeWe Global Scam
WeWe Global has experienced its third collapse, marking a significant downturn in its operations. The suspension of withdrawals, initiated after an unscheduled “extraordinary maintenance,” has now been extended for a month. The first instance of withdrawal restrictions occurred on August 11th, affecting WeWe Global investors.
In response to the crisis, WeWe Global has taken a drastic measure by disabling affiliate investors’ ability to convert LFI (internal Ponzi points) to bitcoin (BTC) and cash out. Instead, investors are limited to converting LFI to WEWE-C, with the condition that it must be reinvested back into the WeWe Global system.
The disabling of withdrawals has effectively led to the collapse of WeWe Global. Rather than transparently addressing the situation, WeWe Global appears to have employed a KYC exit scam, leaving investors with unanswered questions and concerns about the integrity of their investments.
Warnings Issued Against WeWe Global
The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) is cognizant that WEWE Global (also identified as The Blockchain Era) and LYOPAY are promoting cryptocurrency products and services through webinars and public events in New Zealand. Notably, these entities are not enlisted on the Financial Service Providers Register or subject to regulation for delivering their offerings to New Zealand retail clients, contravening the stipulations of the Financial Service Providers (Registration and Dispute Resolution) Act 2008 and the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013.
Is it safe to invest with WeWe Global?
WeWe Global is not undergoing any upgrades, and there appears to be a lack of concern regarding Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures. Even if one were to entertain the notion of falling for an exit scam deception, the notion that it takes 30 days to upgrade servers and conduct a KYC check seems dubious, especially considering that WeWe Global had previously implemented KYC measures to delay withdrawals.
In a legitimate business setting, any upgrades typically occur in a staging environment before being seamlessly integrated into the live service. When executed correctly, users shouldn’t notice any disruptions. It is disconcerting to witness WeWe Global investors using regulatory compliance as an excuse for the suspected exit scam.
Securities fraud regulations are generally straightforward – a business is either registered with financial regulators, filing audited financial reports or operates as a Ponzi scheme. Presenting regulatory compliance as a barrier to legitimate operations raises concerns about the transparency and authenticity of WeWe Global’s business practices.
Is WeWe Global a Ponzi scheme?
WeWe Global is unmistakably operating as a Ponzi scheme, lacking any substantiated origins of external income. Following the collapse of its initial 2021 Ponzi model in 2022, WeWe Global introduced LyoFi and LyoPay as apparent additions to its structure.
Essentially, any measure is taken to halt withdrawals, with the expectation that sufficient new funds continue to flow in, making the act of siphoning money through WeWe Global still financially viable.
WeWe Global Review: Conclusion
If you’ve fallen victim to a WeWe Global scam or any other form of deceitful activity, you can take action by filing a complaint against the unscrupulous broker. Simply complete a complaint form on our Scam Helpers website to initiate the process. Our team of experts is prepared to provide a free consultation on the fund recovery procedure.

Find Trusted FMA Brokers
Find Trusted FMA Brokers Do you need to locate the best FMA regulated brokers around? We’ve got great news – you’ve come to just the right place. Our experts have decades of experience in the financial and trading sectors, and are here to tell you all about the very best brokers regulated by the FMA.To get more news about fma regulated forex brokers, you can visit wikifx.com official website.
The FMA was introduced by taking into account several aspects of an international code of conduct that all regulated financial companies must adhere to, and the same rules apply to brokers that are regulated by the FMA.
Brokers constantly monitored The FMA has become more proactive in its efforts on fighting financial crimes by enforcing its rules on its member companies. Now, it constantly monitors all regulated firms and supervises their activities by issuing guidance and policy updates on a periodic basis. This means that all brokers regulated by the FMA are safe, secure, and transparent in their dealings with the consumer. The regulatory protocols were reformed to such an extent that even genuine brokers who had legitimate business transactions were affected and ultimately banned from carrying out businesses under the FMA license.
What is the FMA? FMA forex brokersThe Financial Markets Authority (FMA) is the regulatory authority for financial markets as well as its participants in New Zealand. During the 2006 to 2010 period, the Securities Commission of New Zealand, which was the predecessor to the FMA, received a lot of criticism due to the failure of numerous financial companies and the subsequent loss of client funds. The Securities Commission of New Zealand was also unable to enforce strict regulations, which ultimately led to the breakdown of the New Zealand economy, played in part by the global financial crisis.
What does the FMA do? FMA is committed to consumer education by enabling the general public to browse through their online resources and gain more information about the financial markets. The organization inspires investors to make calculative decisions based upon extensive research. And to be diligent in their approach while dealing with financial entities that are regulated with the FMA. They also promise swift action against rogue brokers who deviate from the rigorous code of conduct that all member companies are required to adhere to.
The FMA is also involved in formulating strict anti-money laundering policies through the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act of 2009. All FMA member organizations are required to comply with the act and the FMA will not deviate from its stand of protecting the overall interests of the nation. Additionally, the FMA conducts regular audits of organizations to ensure that all financial transactions are carried out in line with FMA’s guidelines.
What is a FMA regulated broker? An FMA regulated broker is any organization which has a valid license with the FMA, and follows their rules. But before the FMA, there was the Securities Commission of New Zealand.
Several brokers and financial companies had registered their businesses in New Zealand under the previous Securities Commission of New Zealand guidelines, which means their licenses were issued according to the then prevalent regulations.
However, the transition from the Securities Commission of New Zealand to the FMA did not account for existing companies that were already carrying out genuine operations in New Zealand. Hence, a majority of these companies were banned or deregulated from the FMA.
This created an uproar among standing businesses, and the FMA was forced to reconsider its stance by reforming its regulatory framework to issue licenses to all previous companies. However, under the new reforms, all companies must reform its operational procedures to satisfy the new regulations. Failure to do so can attract hefty fines and permanent bans on licenses.

✨WIP/Prompt List✨
These are all my wips and ideas that I've thought to write. If one of them gets you hyped up, send me an ask, comment, or dm, and it might give me the motivation to get my butt in gear and write them (depending on busyness and current frame of mind)! I also may be up to PG-rated meme requests...is that even a thing? idk
They're all pretty happy/fluffy unless noted otherwise. That's just how I roll. All sfw. I do not take fic requests unless it really really strikes my interest cuz if ADHD brain don't go brrr, it ain't happening. Any wips that have posted content will have a link to the first chapter.
So without further ado:
👊 wip, some posted | 👉 wip, none posted | 💭 idea | italics stand-in title
Fullmetal Alchemist
EdWin
👊 Elric Escorts (EdWin and AlMei)—college/modern AU: the Elric brothers start a service at their college to escort people across campus after dark. On their walks, they meet people with pasts, presents, and futures that intrigue them
👉 Baby—modern AU, songfic, sequel to Hello Stranger: What do you do when you meet a stunning stranger that terrifies you with how much of an effect they have on you? Scrounge up the guts to ask them on a date. (And figure out how to get through the date) A/N: I figured if part one was a Stray Kids songfic, part two should be too ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Anyway, here's Wonderw—I mean Mixtape: Oh
👊 I Cain't Say No (but I wish I could)—modern/high school/theatre AU: Ed thought he could drop out after auditioning for the musical...and then he got cast as the lead. Cue situations that put the drama in drama class, including but not limited to a method acting costar, scruples over stage kisses, and stage makeup applied by a not-crush
👊 And Then It Hit Me—college/modern/enemies to lovers AU: Edward achieved every college student's dream: he got hit by a bus. Or, at least, he would have, if some know-it-all hadn't yanked him out of the way at the last second. There goes free tuition...
Other pairings/gen
💭 Havolina (Havoc/Catalina) Bar AU—Catalina wants to go out to a bar but couldn't possibly go alone because it just isn't safe, and Havoc agrees to be her knight in shining armor. Strictly to keep her safe, of course. Perhaps she can get to know him better this way, since Havoc tends to only make an impressive fool of himself with women he's on dates with. And this isn't a date. Probably.
💭 Royai nonsexual FWB, mutual pining, probably modern AU—one day I thought "you know what would be a great/possibly terrible idea [for actual real life situations]? Non-sexual friends with benefits." Like, you're not in a relationship or have romantic feelings for the other, but want a semblance of that in your life. You need cuddles, a plus one for an event, somebody to do stupid romantic (but not for real) things with, someone to tell you you're pretty, someone to ward off creeps, maybe a kiss? Boom. You got it. So yes then I thought it'd be funny/cute to make that royai with a side of mutual pining.
💭 FMA Vietnam War AU—tbh I'm undecided on which generation I would focus on with this one, but there are so many parallels between the American side of the Vietnam War and the military events and perspectives in FMA. Royai/Team Mustang would be the early recruits that willingly shipped off to war while Ed would be one of the disillusioned latecomers to the war. I'm thinking because of his age and circumstances, he'd be a researcher for the military rather than a soldier. Still doing it for Al. There are a lot of loose ends and no particular plot thought up yet, but the similarity is so striking, I couldn't not write it down as a possibility to write. Obviously, being war-based, it would be a more mature, angstier fic, although it still probably wouldn't break the T rating, knowing me as a writer and since it's more character-based than action-based. And yeah, I'm a history nerd, fight me 👊🏻 although usually not military history nerd
💭 Ed's comic books—What if the comic books Ed had on his research tab were encoded alchemy texts? But of course, telling Mustang would take all the fun out of it.
💭 Mei & Hughes—just a couple of excitable throwing knife wielders that really should have met. I have no plot. I just think the two of them in the same room would be n e a t.
Mystic Messenger
👊 You Infect Me, covid/lockdown fic (Seven/MC)—Saeyoung Choi is bored to tears during quarantine, so he figures why not text one of the most available RFA members? But after a while, he realizes he's gotten in over his head... A/N: I haven't updated this since January, help. It was also the first fic I wrote, so I've definitely become a more comfortable writer since I started this
👉 The Song of Your Soul Is Not What I Expected (But It's Better) (Jumin/MC)—originally intended to be written for Mystic Messenger Reverse Big Bang 2021, but that didn't happen lol. For Jumin's first birthday as a married man, he decides to let his wife choose how they spend the evening. She chooses to go to an open mic night, but he never expected that to be her music taste. ...Blink-182. she sings Blink-182. Jumin may do some "MC research" and might learn a Fall Out Boy song as a comeback.
👉 Vanderwaiter (Vanderwood/MC)— MC is new to the world of being a businesswoman, and tries her best to navigate a dinner with a client. Which would be easier if the waiter weren't distractingly good looking. And if the restaurant didn't explode into chaos because his mission as a secret agent went south. (Definitely going to have an action scene, probably involving guns, but no graphic violence)
RWBY
👉 Insurance Scam (Renora)—Nora bursts into Ren's insurance agency asking for medical malpractice insurance for a pillow factory. Let the circus begin, clowns and all. A/N: this was a crack fic/prompt that my sister and I came up with when she was sick and loopy and I took it as a challenge. This will also be my first contribution to FNDM. Maybe I just haven't checked Ao3 since the last two seasons came out (I haven't caught up, don't give me spoilers 😩), but there is a sad, sad lack of good monogamous renora fics out there, and that really should be remedied.
Fruits Basket
👉/💭 Kyoru Bar AU—Tohru thinks it would be fun to go out to a bar with Kyo for their one-year dating anniversary. Kyo agrees, despite his misgivings. Includes: a heavy dose of Kyoko backstory fluff, a dash of Kyo backstory angst, and mayyybe a dash of jealous Kyo because Tohru collects hearts wherever she goes 👀
Ugh I'm finally done, this took so freaking long to get out 😩
As far as meme requests go if that's even a thing, if I've posted about a fandom, it's fair game. If you're not sure if I'm in a fandom, just shoot me an ask/comment/dm. And while I pretty much don't take fic requests, I'm totally open to getting asks on my thoughts about fandom stuff, because I can nearly guarantee you I have some sort of opinion, and I love the attention.

Tagged by @priscilla-dm thinks for thanking of me! (Lang, 2016) I, too, have been dead the past few weeks.
Three ships: Royai (FMA/B), Victuuri (YOI), Robbie/Cecilia (Atonement); this third spot’s usually a free-for-all
Last song I listened to: "Black Mamba” by æspa. A dance practice video, to be precise. Not really a fan of them, but those girls can dance.
Currently watching: I’ve just finished The Queen’s Gambit, I will be starting on either Bungou Stray Dogs or Hospital Playlist next (I credit @cyanoscarlet for this)
Currently reading: Pride and Prejudice on Kindle, Reportage on Lovers by Quijano de Manila on paperback
How’s it going?: All right, all things considered. Things are starting to get busy at work, and we’re now being asked to come to the office at least once a week to establish a production workflow as we are a media company. I like it because I find that I’m less sleepy in the office than I tend to be working from home. I will be starting on driving lessons soon. And I’m having a great time getting my voice acting career going—taking lessons, setting goals, refining my home recording setup so I can finally make sample work and start auditioning again. ✨
Tagging my people @firewood-figs @x-rainflame-x @cyanoscarlet @pataytayo @tellmeyoulovethis and any of my lovely lovely friends who see this~!

Live Action Fullmetal Alchemist Pt 2: Winry
OK, it appears tumblr will let me edit a draft again (yay!) So I can go ahead and quickly edit this post I made long ago, before this corona situation, when I was just...so happy...all of the time.
Anyway, it starts out with meeting a villain
So like, I don’t want to step on the toes of one of the biggest and most highly regarded fandoms but Lust wears more clothes than Envy and only seduced one idiot and yet her defining trait is that she’s Lust?
Just seems like she could’ve been more lusty.
And yeah she’s the first to die so it’s not like she had much time, but like, is she Lust just because she’s a lady with boobs? Boobs make you Lust? I see boobs every time I look in a mirror, and I’m pretty sure I’ve worn less clothes than lust on multiple occasions and I am a very prudish person. Whatever, that said, lets get to the good stuff, that’s right, it’s a train, this is what we’re all here for, step aside, Lust and your boobs, we want that good train action.
Damn look at that train. Look at that good train.
Last we left off, Al was cleaning up the mess Ed made, although I’m pretty sure in the anime, Ed could easily fix this stuff in like half a second. But in the movie, they removed that particular alchemy superpower and just kind of leave the town wrecked and go “sorry guys, we’re gonna just leave it like this so we can hold it over Ed later, sorry about the fruit stand. We gotta get realllll catty with my older brother.”
Which is when we introduce Winry.
So like...you can’t really tell from here but they decided to put rivets on everything Winry wears and that’s about all we have here to make her into the Winry I recognize, and that’s OK. It’s OK they stepped away from blonde. They were just so completely exhausted after how many times they had to stick Ed’s braid back on that they just...gave up. However, she is absolutely wearing fake bangs. Just throwing that out there, it’s not a bad look, and I’m a little jealous of them, but no one has bangs like that naturally, as a person who tried Zooey Deschenel bangs for 6 years.
And also--I got a comment on the last post that apparently a lot of Ed’s hair is REAL and they dyed it for the movie. I don’t know which parts exactly, I feel very suspicious of The Braid, but...that is so unfortunate.
So, lets see what Ed’s been up to, considering he left about 5 minutes ago.
(read more under the cut)
Yeah. Just don’t think about it. Maps don’t exist in this movie. It’s a little rough coming from the anime which was pretty map heavy, but this movie says “nah” to maps. This map doesn’t exist. The whole thing where they were making a big alchemy circle out of Amestris? Not a thing anymore, don’t think about it.
Ed and his substitute Dad, Roy Mustang, are too busy fighting about Ed’s only motivation in this movie. This scene happened in the anime as well, and it was sort of different, but again this movie has to abridge a hell ton of content so this is what we got.
Enter, Hughes.
So Hughes is great. Easily one of the best characters in the anime, who only exists just to die, and they made him just as likeable in this movie. This actor was clearly really jazzed to play a soon to be dead Hughes and he did a great job. Course, it’s a pretty wacky Hughes, but that’s fine, this is a weirdly wacky movie.
Also now this guy is here.
(and sorry to let you all down but Ed’s Real Dad or Ed’s Real Dad’s Clone does not even appear in this movie. I know. You might be wondering...so what else is left when you remove...all of that...don’t worry. We’ll get there.)
General Hakuro, I had to look up, because I had completely forgotten who this tool was. But it didn’t really matter, because in their attempt to shorten the anime, Hakuro ends up taking the part of like 10 other people in the original. I mean yeah, you gotta edit, but I just didn’t expect all those people to be played by the part of Hakuro.
No one expects the twists to be honest, it’s...it’s really freakin weird.
Anyways, at least we get to enjoy some Hughes time before he kicks it and this actor will absolutely get his Hughes fill out of every line because he knows he’ll be dead by Act 2. Ah Hughes, the worst spy. I love Hughes. This movie did such a good Hughes.
Listen I know that Winry and Ed are BELOVED. But like, I didn’t feel it in the anime. Be aware of my shipping immunity--I am sort of stone cold and I haven’t really shipped any fictional couples in my entire life. I have to really get sold on a ship to go for a ship, it’s just my weird superpower to be immune to shipping. I’m weird.
But I totally get that Ed and Winry are very beloved and so if you ship it, that’s wonderful. All ships are welcome here. However, this is a very different Ed and Winry dynamic. They’re actually attracted to each other from the get go and their dialogue is playful and they sync up really well like a married couple. And, they do all that without having Ed ignore her until she’s about to die and without any awkward underboob sequences (which was actually very funny in the anime, I’m not gonna lie). And again, this is entirely personal preference, but they do the bare minimum and it worked for me way better than the anime had in 50+ episodes.
Maybe it’s not for everyone, this, again, is just personal preference but...you do not need to torture your female protagonist to turn her into a romantic interest, you just have to have your characters romantically interested in each other. That’s really it. That’s the science. Yet, so many shows refuse to do the bare minimum.
Bear in mind, we also cover Yugioh here, so I might just be getting excited to actually cover a legit romance in a recap for once in my life that isn’t laced with so many bodies/cursed paper cards.
Also, while I make jokes about the sister vibes in the recap--the movie totally dropped any indication that they had been raised in the same house for a while (unlike the anime, which liked to remind you a lot).
Meanwhile, the General is having a really great conversation with himself and it’s like...all over the place. Maybe it was a translation error but this dialogue was kind of a mess.
props to this actor for doing a really good “Oh no she stabbed me through the head!” face. I imagine this face was half his audition. It’s good.
Anyways, as this guy gets eaten alive, Gluttony’s shadow reveals it has a hellton of teeth coming out of it’s stomach. I remember these teeth being a really neat reveal in the anime because it was like halfway through the series, but like, I think this movie kinda expects you to have already seen the anime, so they didn’t really bother hiding this.
Don’t worry we get to see real CGI teeth later and it is *bad*
By bad I mean really good.
Anyways, if you’re new here, I freakin love prop food and I will always take like a good minute to admire any food that is on set.
Like it’s pretty blurry but I’m pretty sure there’s two soups and two salads. Maybe they just decided to raid the actor’s buffet table for this scene but it’s just a really random assortment and also a really huge ass buffet for like 4 people since Al doesn’t eat.
Hughes’ cute girl was written out of the script but I don’t blame them because wow how many bad child actors do you need? That does mean we don’t get the sweet scene of Hughes pulling out his gun at a children’s birthday party, but this movie does have to end at some point so yes, the cute child antics got cut.
Much like moooooost of the people in this cast. At this point I’m just accepting it and moving forward.
Anyway, here’s a link you can click to read all of these in chrono order. There’s just 2 of them. I only have 2 left before I actually have to start watching this movie again so...hopefully by then I’ll...be better adjusted from this quarantine burn out I’ve been dealing with.

it’s a wonderful life
hi, @flowerdrunk! im your fma secret santa! heard you liked royai and modern aus, so have some fluffy modern au royai to keep you warm for the holidays. hope you like it!
-------------
There were, Riza reflected, a lot of good things about sharing interests with the person you loved. It made sharing experiences that much easier, and made making connections infinitely easier as well. Hell, she’d only met Roy due to a shared interest in performing, and the rest had followed naturally. Which really meant with only minor difficulty and rom-com level shenanigans, mostly thanks to Jean and Rebecca’s enlistment of two underclassmen in “Operation: JD And Veronica, But Like, Sane”. Things had worked out, though, and their names had become something of a pair in the performance industry. They could talk about nearly anything, watched most of the same shows--it was wonderful, really.
Though it also meant that things could get…interesting. And a bit tense, because her idiot boyfriend had just watched the entire final episode of Netflix’s The Dragon Prince while she was at rehearsal for the Broadway production of Six. Hours were a bit wacky for both of them, especially given that she was in the final weeks before opening night (Anna of Cleves was an intense character to play, and channeling that much “B.D.E.”, as Ed liked to put it, could be exhausting), so it wasn’t like she hadn’t expected him to watch some of the shows they usually watched together, but--seriously! The finale?
“You’re dead to me,” she said flatly, even as she threw herself down on the couch beside him. Roy, who could be a complete bastard one second and a total sweetheart the next (though most of the time it was some bizarre mix between the two that made people either generally fond of him or as vengeful as Olivier Armstrong), only grinned over at her and threw the electric blanket over her lap. She gave him a grateful look despite her irritation and draped it properly over her lap, relaxing with a sigh as heat soaked into her sore muscles. “I can’t believe you watched it without me!”
He laughed, but squeezed her hand apologetically. She gave him a sharp look, but squeezed back with a huff as he queued it up and waited for it to start. “Sorry. I just had to see what happened with Janai and Amaya--”
“Oh my god, if you spoil it, I will break up with you.” She didn’t mean it, of course, but she couldn’t help shooting him a sharp look. He was snickering behind a hand, eyes bright with glee, and she elbowed him. “Roy.”
“Riza,” he mimicked, and she reached up to flick his forehead. He yelped and recoiled, before huffing sulkily and slumping back against the couch cushions. “Fine. No spoilers, I promise. Not even about--”
“Roy. Mustang.”
He wilted, grabbing for the bowl of popcorn set haphazardly on the ottoman and nestling it between them--or attempting to, before nearly spilling the bowl with a yelp as Black Hayate sprinted in from the other room with a shrieking, warbling howl, and launched himself into that tiny wedge of space between them. “Ack!” She couldn’t help laughing as the puppy laid his head in her lap, tail thumping on Roy’s leg. He shot her a betrayed look, even as a hand gently scratched at the dog’s head. “He hates me,” he said mournfully.
“He doesn’t hate you,” Riza soothed, patting his hand absently as the recap for the final episode played. The Final Battle, huh? Bit on the nose, though it’ll be interesting to see how they do this… She loved epic battle scenes, whether animated or live-action, in one-on-one or two clashing armies. Roy, she knew, was just in it for the (admittedly cute) romances; for all that he pretended to be charming and clever, he was the biggest, most softhearted romantic she knew. “He just likes me better.”
Roy grumbled wordlessly, even as he slipped an arm around her shoulders. She rested her head on his shoulder absently, wondering when she’d become so used to this affection. Not in a bad way, as though it had gotten old, but to a point where she felt…comfortable. This glowing thing between them, it wasn’t butterflies and fireworks and shooting stars. It was the warmth of a glowing hearth, warm blankets on a winter morning. It was…home.
Roy Mustang was home to her now, and she to him.
It was a strange realization--a good one, but strange all the same. She’d never imagined any of this in her future, even after declaring her major--hadn’t thought twice about walking into that acting course, hadn’t predicted being paired up with another (really, really gorgeous; she’d been forced to admit to herself even then) first-year who had wild, boundless enthusiasm and not a lick of common sense. She hadn’t foreseen herself getting roped into his friend group within the span of two classes, nor how quickly those cheerful acquaintances who couldn’t comprehend personal space would become the strongest, most loyal support network she’d ever had in her life.
She certainly hadn’t thought that she’d wind up getting pushed into trying out for Veronica in their university’s production of Heathers: The Musical. Or that she’d get the part. Or that Roy would be playing opposite her as J.D., or that their chemistry would be so intense that Rebecca and Jean would end up pulling their entire circle into a scheme to get the two of them together.
Or that she’d mean it so much as Riza when she kissed him for the first time, even when she was supposed to be Veronica Sawyer.
It took her another year to realize he’d meant it just enough. From there, things had just…snowballed, from supporting each other through auditions and finals to moving in together in the heart of New York City, to…to dating. From being together to being together, hand in hand, moving forward as friends and colleagues and partners. They could stand apart from each other, but together, they were an overwhelming storm, a force of nature. Dangerous separately, but infinitely stronger when working in tandem.
Her future, when she thought about it so many years ago, hadn’t ever looked like this. Hadn’t looked like music and spotlights and laughter, hadn’t been wild friends and long nights of wandering lamplit streets and singing terrible songs. Hadn’t looked like an apartment with a crappy view covered in fuzzy blankets and fake sheepskin rugs from Pottery Barn catalogues with fairy lights strung over their secondhand TV stand. Hadn’t been coaching a snarky, short-tempered third-year through his Music Theory class over mugs of hot chocolate as he argued with his little brother over what chord progressions they were supposed to use and how to analyze which pieces.
Hadn’t been this…good, or filled with light and friendship and wonder. Hadn’t really been a life at all, now that she thought about it, had been so much less than the wonderful existence she had now.
She had a part in one of the year’s most anticipated musicals, she’s dating her best friend, and she found family in the place she least expected it. Life was good.
She squeezed Roy’s hand gently. “I love you.”
He glanced sideways at her, before smiling--shockingly sweet, and so beautiful it made her heart hurt. “I love you too.”
So simple, so sweet--and completely, utterly true.
And right here, right now, it was all she really needed.
