And now, back to our regular art posting... any followers from other platforms have probably picked up that I love my sketches. Have a self-insert and a bunch of other FlutterFriends, each based on a real North American butterfly (and one skipper)!

Pearl - Hackberry Emperor: My self-insert. Based on the fact that there were a crap ton of these butterflies on my parent's property late this spring. There's still some even now. Low key like this better than my official persona. Lots of browns with a touch of black and white.

Dawn - Monarch: This is technically a second/redesigned version of her, as I have drawn her a few times before with slightly different hair and clothes. A bright, cheery girl, you know the type. Warm oranges, black, and a bit of gold/golden brown.

Rosalie - Red-Spotted Purple: A black and blue rose-themed, mysterious singing idol. (Despite their name, those are their main colors - not even all of them sport the titular spots.)

Hazel - Silver-spotted Skipper: Browns, oranges, and splashes of silver. A non-verbal autistic, she uses a combination of methods to communicate, one of which is sign language (this will be more relevant as I introduce more characters)
