Hey writer friends! There's a fun, all-fandom, writing/art event taking place for fall. Cozytober! This is their second year and since they don't have a tumblr page, I thought I'd share the prompts!

For anyone participating in any of the other big fall events (@sicktember @whumptober @flufftober ) these prompts actually meld really well with those.

RYAN’S HAIR OMG HE LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL

Buck is mindlessly browsing through suits when Eddie steps out of the changing room, arms spread out a little, hair swooping, cheeks pink, and a bright smile stretching his lips.

Buck’s breath hitches, and he blinks once, twice, before abandoning the rack of suits and walking over to Eddie.

“What do you think?” Eddie asks, still smiling brightly, like he already knows what Buck thinks.

“Do a spin,” Buck says, sounding a little breathless, and Eddie laughs, but he does do a spin, raising an eyebrow when Buck fails to look away fast enough from how the pants are snuggly hugging his ass.

“Yeah,” Buck says softly, “That’s the one.”

Eddie beams. “Yeah?”

“Oh, yeah,” Buck takes another step closer, and now he’s close enough Eddie has to slightly tilt his face up to keep looking at his face. “Yeah, it is.”

Eddie’s cheeks glow a deeper shade of red, his eyes softening. “Okay. Okay, good.”

Buck hums, still staring; can’t find it in himself to look away. “God, Eddie,” he whispers, wonderstruck, “look at you.”

“You are,” Eddie whispers back, and the space between them is getting smaller and smaller.

“Well, how could I not?” Buck breathes, their lips almost brushing. “Prettiest ass in—”

Eddie pulls back a little with a laugh. “Evan Buckley.”

Buck’s cheeks hurt from smiling so wide when he says, “Yeah, baby?”

Eddie rolls his eyes, places a small, quick kiss to Buck’s smile. “No need to flatter me, I’m already marrying you.”

Buck’s smile grows even bigger, somehow. “Hell yeah, you are.”

Then he places a hand on Eddie’s waist, gently nudging until he turns around and they’re both facing the mirror. He pulls Eddie closer to him, arm wrapped around his waist, until his back is pressed to Buck’s chest, and his eyes meet his in their reflection.

Eddie’s whole face softens, placing his hands on the arm wrapped around him, then he turns his head to the side, looking expectantly until Buck leans in.

“Hell yeah, I am,” he says belatedly, right into Buck’s lips, then kisses him.

Some Soft Kinley HCs

They share locations with each other on find my phone. It proves to be helpful on more than one occasion once Tommy realizes how quickly his ADHD boyfriend can get distracted by random things when they're having date night in the city.

Buck is personally offended by the lack of actual food in Tommy's pantry/fridge and drags him to go grocery shopping so he can eat real food. ("I can live off take out and basic cooking skills Evan." "Not when you're my boyfriend. Let me cook for you.")

Tommy is a grill guy so him and Bobby co-host a 118 cookout at Bobby's house at one point. Buck is absolutely smitten by the two of them getting along.

Buck finds out if he kisses a specific spot on Tommy's neck it makes Tommy whine his name like a prayer so it becomes Buck's secret weapon.

Tommy can bake better than he cooks. They tag team date nights, Evan brings the food, Tommy brings the dessert. (Actual dessert, but also sex.)

“Is that… wrong?” Tommy frowns. “Everyone calls you Buck.”

“Everyone but you.” He crosses his arms. He knows he’s making it into a bigger deal than necessary, but he can’t help it.

"You're in love with me," Buck says, his voice growing more certain as he takes a step closer, abandoning the basket and the chunky peanut butter. Eddie's head snaps up. He stares at Buck, wide eyed and terrified. "What?" "Eddie, why did you put chunky peanut butter in the cart when I'm the only one that likes it?" Buck asks. Before Eddie can answer, their radios crackle to life. "I need help on aisle eight," Ravi says, sounding a little frantic, but that's honestly normal. Buck ignores him, and takes Eddie's hand when he reaches up to key his own radio. "Why?" Buck asks again. Eddie's shoulders drop. "Because I am in love with you." (Or, Buck notices how much Eddie notices, and neither one notices that Ravi needs some help) (He's fine, I promise!)

The first time it happened was when Tommy tagged along to Baby and Me class - renamed from "Mommy and Me" after Buck had given the gym an earful about being sexist and heteronormative.

They were sitting in a circle, babies on laps, as they usually did.

"Good afternoon, class! It looks like we have someone new joining us today. I'm Kath, the facilitator. Why don't you introduce yourself?"

"Oh, okay," Tommy said, adjusting Stella on his lap. "I'm Tommy, I'm Stella's other dad. This is my first time because I'm a firefighter and—"

"A firefighter?" Kath's eyes lit up. "How noble and brave."

"I'm also a firefighter," Buck interjected.

"I've been gone the last three weeks fighting a wildfire," Tommy continued.

"Wow, a wildfire! That sounds dangerous," she replied, barely glancing at Buck.

"I also do dangerous things," Buck said, his voice tight with irritation.

"Oh, it wasn't so bad," Tommy said with a shrug. "I was mostly in the air flying my helicopter."

"You're a pilot?" one of the moms asked, leaning forward with interest.

"That is so cool," another chimed in.

Kath looked at Buck, inviting him to speak.

"Yeah, I got nothing," Buck muttered, watching Tommy bounce their daughter on his knee.

Fuck It Friday

I was tagged by @tizniz and @princessfbi a few times and haven't really had the time to share anything this week but now I have a moment to breathe and so I can share a little tidbit!

The look on Christopher’s face as Buck enters the kitchen bearing breakfast has Eddie glad he got his phone out. He secretly records the whole thing, as Buck sets the food down and Chris launches himself at Buck, as Buck catches him, as they giggle together and hold each other tight. It reminds him of another video, saved in his files. The one of Shannon emerging from behind the Christmas tree Eddie set up in the front yard, as Chris laughs and cries and hugs her. “You’re really staying with us?” Chris asks as they eat breakfast. “Yup.” Buck pops the ‘p’. “I was going crazy all by myself, and I heard your dad was driving you crazy, so I thought we could help each other out.” “Excuse you,” Eddie says.
