in my rereading flowey is not a good lifecoach era and this shit kinda sucks flowey why are you telling him your life story??? why not go after your curiosity you literally brought up instead of this dumb plot you haven't even thought out like it'd be much more interesting for flowey to try to investigate papyrus's past (wink wink nudge nudge) and figure out why he's the way he is. like generally a more interesting plot. and if you're gonna go with this dumb idea at least manipulate even a LITTLE better flowey you do NOT need to pull out your backstory??? you also wouldn't do that so idk what the fuck you're on about like just go "oh gee ur so cool and strong and i feel so safe around you cause youre the toughest guy ikoww... but im worried bout you cause youre so nice too and you give too many chances 🥺🥺🥺🥺 also undyne's not letting you in the royal guard isn't she so mean for that." like flowey should be a manipulative mastermind why was the best thing he could come up with was just telling papyrus his backstory??? also why does papyrus just take that like bitch you should know that's literally asriel dreemurr?? that's literally his story?

so I read the Flowey is not a Good Life Coach comic by @thefluffyslipper and even though it ended on a cliffhanger in an intense situation I read the rest on ao3 and frankly kinda glad it ended where it did because who would have the guts to draw said injury in the beginning of chapter 8

She'd been more or less split open; a large, messy tear of ragged scales and flesh running between her breasts from collarbones to the base of her ribcage. A sliver of her sternum peeked out under the shredded muscle, and thank god it had held. Blood and raw magic oozed from the wound.

My journey with the UTMV actually started with alternate timelines instead of jumping straight into aus. I had to be warmed up to the idea. One of my favorite of these alternative timeline stories is Flowey is not a good life coach. Primarily cause it was the first to focus on papyrus which I had not seen yet. On top of that, it was ANGST surrounding papyrus which was even better.

Its a good fic! from what i remember, its been quite a bit of time. It was actually my first ao3 fic EVER i had no idea what ao3 was before i read it. I also was an avid follower of the comic based on the fic. Can't remember if it was ever finished. Loved any offshoot fics as well.

edit: if im being honest i read the fic when i was like... maybe 10-12ish? so I can't promise it actually holds up now.

Flowey reared up, knocking Papyrus backward into the muddy, churned snow. “Idiot! Why did you stop attacking?”

there are still good parts in finaglc and this is one of them. flowey-wise at least. if there’s one thing finaglc does well, it’s papyrus-asriel parallels.
