This shot cost me dearly! I was reluctant to cut my beautiful peonies in the garden (silly habit from my mom who always says flowers last longer in the garden!) So the plan was to get my 8 year-old to pose as a hand model! Well, might have been easier to fork out the $10,000 Linda Evangelista famously claimed to wake up in the 90's. This week-end we've taken the kids camping in the Center of France and are enjoying some good quality family time. As well as some moments that are, well, how to say that nicely... a bit more real? Anyway, a good time to unplug... or almost as I always find trafic jams + hubby driving = perfect timing to check on emails and notifications. Help! I need some tips on where to get primula auricula, mointain cowslip or bear ears... whatever you want to call these delicate wild beauties. The yellow variety in this photo is litterally everywhere around here in the Jura and the Alps surrounding Geneva. The type if auricula I'm looking for is the coloured ones: brownish reddish. I've seen many of my fellow florifriends showcase them on IG and would live to plant some for next spring! Olympia - Greece, exactly one year ago. I fell in love with the purple cercis canadensis or judas tree right there and then. Theses beauties bloom after all the other trees have greened up already and their delicate flowers, growing directly onto the branches last much longer than many other spring blossoms. I now admire them every day on my ride down to the atelier wondering if I should plant one in the garden but they tend to get quite big... what do you think? To plant or not to plant? Studio shoot... I know it's a bit untrendy and going against the flow. Blank canvas. That's how I felt this morning throwing myself out of my comfort zone trying a new style for a wedding this week end. I'll show you the result soon but as enthusiast as I felt all day designing, I'm filled with doubt now overthinking my choice of flowers... and that's without counting the substitution I have to deal with flowers not matching my order. I really appreciate it when my clients trust me to whip something beautiful no matter what I use. I do however sometimes feel nostalgic about @newcoventgarden! The ease and pleasure of going to the market, seeing, smelling and touching the flowers.
