"That's where I think the robbery happened. These are the shelves where I keep the single flowers, this morning the tansies spot was empty. That is the greenhouse, but there are no missing plants in it. Then the rest of the lab here is a mixture of trees and different plants, the bushes that disappeared were there. I track in the register everything I sell, and I never miss a day, I'm-

"A plant nerd?" Charles jokes with a teasing smile.

"A plant nerd, yeah..." Max answers blushing.

HOW ABOUT BOTH?

You looked up at the coffee shop in front of you. It had a theme, warm browns and cosiness, and it was gorgeous. Max's Coffee House. It was an independent place, all run by him.

Your eyes moved to the shop next door. Petal Leclerc. The Closed for now, but we hope to see you soon! :) sign was proudly displayed on the door. The shop was gorgeous. Well, what you could see in the window was gorgeous. Ready made bouquets in pretty vases, and dried flowers hanging around it.

The owner of Petal Leclerc was currently inside of Max's Coffee House, anxiously waiting with Max himself. They were at the only table in the café with a vase of flowers. Waiting for you.

Sucking in a breath, you pushed open the door to the coffee shop and strode inside.

The bell above the door chimed as you walked in. Both boys looked up, their eyes going wide. The three of you had been talking about this for so long, waiting for the chance to finally meet. Part of you couldn't believe that day had finally come.

Charles stood up. He scrambled for the flowers, knocking the vase over in the process. Max caught it before it could make too much off a mess, his smile endearing as he looked at Charles.

"These are you," Charles said and held the flowers out towards you. It was a gorgeous arrangement, one you could appreciate without knowing a thing about flowers. They probably had meanings, you realised, but you didn't know what they were.

"Thank you, Charles," you said and took the seat opposite them.

They already had half pints of water in front of them. "Can I get you anything to drink?" Max asked, quickly standing up. "I can get you coffee, or anything else you want."

"Coffee is fine," you answered and Max scrambled to his feet.

Things were a little awkward at first. While Max was behind the counter, making your coffee, you and Charles looked at each other. Neither of you wanted to start the conversation without Max there.

But the quiet was getting to be too much. "He's been nervous for this," Charles said quietly as he picked at the flowers, neatening them up.

"He doesn't need to be," you replied and glanced towards the counter. Max was moving around his staff, making three different coffees. He grabbed pastries, placed them on a tray and brought them over.

After a moment, conversation became easy. As soon as you complimented Max's coffee making skills, he was putty in your hands. Happily talking about any and all of his interests. You and Charles couldn't help but grin at each other.

Max became blushy when he noticed the way the two of you were looking at him. "Someone else talk," he mumbled and rubbed the back of his neck.

It was a perfect first date, at least your version of a perfect date. You left Max's Coffee House with Charles, waving to Max behind the counter as you two left. The flowers were in your arms and you could taste the coffee on your tongue.

ahhh!!!!! this is the best question you could have ever asked me like ever i love you so much. i’ve been dying to talk abt this for a hot minute. i opened myself up to any sort of ship mostly because i cared more abt the fic quality then the ship you know? kinda glad i did it because my fav ones are not necessarily ships i am a fan of. it’s really long so i put it under a read more!!

okay so number one has to be the fic that was my first fav f1 fic. this is steal the air out of my lungs (make me feel it). now this has a lot of elements that i love. guy who’s in his own head vs other guy who’s also in his own head but pretends he isn’t. also idk why but i’m always a sucker for a good medical au and this one fucking delivers!!! another maxiel fic i read was three rounds and a sound which has coffee shop owner daniel w/ stressed out student max. a lot of introspection but it’s also unfolding while the romance is. idk i just love this. it’s so good. last maxiel fic is come on, star boy which is a alt universe where daniel is the american guy he always wanted to be and max is the new transfer to his small town’s football team. it isn’t just incredibly written but everyone feels so real and vivid. i can visually see this in my mind everytime i read it. i listened to a lot of ethel cain while reading so that helped. i love this so much and the brocedes in the background?? you’ll never get away from the sound of the woman that loves youuu 🗣️

i’m not really a landoscar girl, i’m gonna be honest. however, where i am going is right where i am, is just incredible. alt universe where the drivers live on a street version of stars hollow? brocedes that influence everything even though they’re long over? charles being insane over max? pierre hating on esteban every second that is possible (i was laughing every time he would just cuss his ass out unprovoked) and annoying george being their street’s version of gilmore girls’ taylor?? what more do u need in ur life?? also oscar in this fic is just my dream man. i think a croissant from him would fix me. actually i read a lot of this author’s landoscar fics and they’re so cute i was sending kudos as much as i can. like already home! just want to bite them both and put them in my pocket. they’re so obviously in love i want to shake them down and scream and smoosh them together. lawyer!oscar i love you. check out their profile!! incredible writer :)))

the reason i even got into f1 aka brocedes. this fic i think was one of the first i read. on the faultline which is just amazing. i can’t recommend it enough. read it if u can. another fav is a brocedes threesome with their toxic fucking each other via proxy aka new money, and it’s all cash. cute brocedes!! nico thinks lewis is his sworn enemy but everyone knows otherwise. roseberg’s vs haminkton. this was so cute and funny. cause why was nico saying lewis, the owner of a tattoo shop was stealing business from him… when he owns a florists… he’s so dramatic i want to tuck him in my pocket. this job will take my sole has the same premise but they’re both shoe shops which makes a lot more sense. i just love stupid rivalries and dramatic nico.

now back to my sweethearts, the lights of my life, the fires of my heart - sewis. all of these fics have past brocedes just for context. every tongue should confess talks about religion and queer identity in such a nuanced and delicate way? i adored this fic. transmotion which is another alt universe with fashion designer!lewis and footballer!sebastian both figuring out their careers, themselves and their relationship. maybe together we can get somewhere - this is an mpreg fic which usually isn’t for me but it’s about seb and lewis going on a road trip for an abortion and it’s so good. honestly the ending line of ‘it’s a good feeling, to know that sebastian’s outstretched hand is right there.’ it just stuck with me. i loved it. the numbering at bethlehem which is thee sewis fic to me. professor au?? this was made for me. like perfectly moulded. everything about this is art. i could do a full essay on this fic. just read it, it’s incredible. just amazing. sebastian as the child prodigy who has nowhere else to climb?? i love them both in this fic so much!!! tnab sewis get behind me!! i’m gonna protect u!!

In an AU setting where Maryse is not a toxic piece of shit human being and instead a lovely and supportive mother, established Malec engaged to be married has to deal with this:

Little Shop of Horrors-esque AU that starts as the typical Max lives/gets redemption arc setup but then Grace is slowly starting to question what she’s been taught and get away from the church, so she decides she needs to find some interests/hobbies outside of it and gets a job. She’s hired at a struggling florist and discovers that she actually has quite a talent for botany. She finds a strange and mysterious plant (that’s definitely 100% not Nibbly in disguise). She tries everything and she’s starting to give up when she realizes that the plant needs to eat people to survive. Through befriending Max and getting closer to him, she and the rest of the nerds have started to catch on to what his home life is like and how his dad treats him, so she decides that Mr. Jägerman looks like plant food to her, 86s him (real quiet like) and gets the plant some lunch. Next, she starts to figure out part of what goes on at Abstinence Camp, so Boy Jerry’s on the menu (she doesn’t know about Lumber Axe and assumes he did the murders). Then she gets sick of how Solomon talks to Steph so he gets eaten, too. But then eventually it gets out of hand and the plant reveals its plan for world domination so she has to seek out the help of Steph, Max and the nerds to defeat it.

A List Of My Sam and Max AUs

It has been a long time, since I posted anything here. I originally was just gonna make only one AU. But, funny enough, I have way more than that now XD

I've made this list, if you're interested in any of the AUs and/or you have any questions about them. I'm more than happy to answer them.

Itty Bitty: During one of Sam and Max fights against a criminal at the toy factory, Max gets hit by a ray and disappears. It was supposed to teleport him somewhere far away. But nope! Max has been shrunken in size and fell into a toy box that was meant to be delivered to the next city over. Now, it's up to him and his new human friend, Jess, to help him reunite with Sam and get him back to his normal size, while also fighting crime together (and learning about Jess' past) along the way.

Error 305: Sam and Max try to escape their universe as it started to collapsed. But they didn't get out without getting physically and mentally damaged. Max really got the short end of the stick, while Sam is still sort of sane. Now, they live in a white void, while Sam tries to find a way to get both of them back to normal.

Trading Minds: It's basically 'what if Sam and Max switch minds?' The results? Max is a more level headed lagomorph, while Sam is a pretty chaotic dog.

The Monster I've Become: After the Events of the Devil's playhouse, Max somehow survived the explosion and became his normal self. But he doesn't look the same though. He looks partly like an eldritch horror monster and a lagomorph. He kept his identity hidden since then and has made an abandoned subway train station as his new home. Sam sadly has no idea that he's still alive.

The Beast Within The Sea: Sam is the captain of the pirate crew who is after a magical jewel on a mysterious island. He manages to get it successfully and was about to leave the island with it. But then, a huge sea creature emerges from the ocean and attacks the ship. It kills everyone except for Sam. Instead, it keeps him on island and refuses to let him leave. Now, he needs to find a way to escape the place without the beast ever finding out.

The Multiverse Traveling Thief: Nobody has seen face or learned the name of the person who steals the artifacts from different universes and destroys those said universes. He keeps his mask on, while out in public to keep his identity hidden. But this lagomorph is known as "The Multiverse Traveling Thief".

Doodle: Sam and Max are simplified doodles who are alive.

The Circus Of Astral Magic: Deep within the forest, there's a magical circus that lures people there. A small lagomorph finds himself there. He thought it was all fun and games. Until he starts to see the dark truth behind it. This isn't an ordinary circus. This one is ment to keep people there, once they enter it.

Shattered Realities: Darla is a fan of a video game franchise, Sam and Max. She really likes playing it's third and final season to the TellTale's game, Sam and Max: The Devil's Playhouse. However, one night, she deeply wished that she can change Max's fate during his 305, even though it was pointless because he's not real, right? Well, the next morning, she woke up in a bedroom that doesn't belong to her. She quickly scanned the room, which she doesn't recognize at all. She slowly gets out of bed and walks to a nearby phone. However, she froze in her tracks when saw her reflection. Max's reflection to be exact. She has no idea if this is some sort of dream or if it's actually real. But, one things for sure, she needs to change Max's fate before she loses her life in a 305.

Heartstrings: Max is a florist who is so madly in love with his 'soul mate' that he'll do literally anything to make them his. Even if it means to kill as many people as it takes and pull some strings behind the scenes to make that happen.

The Pursuit Of Blissfulness: The world was once full of color, before it faded away from the world. Everyone has long grown used to it being Monochrome since then. Now, a lonely lagomorph tries to figure out the mystery behind it. But will it be worth the price of losing the very person that he believes to hate?

System Override: Sam is a child who got dared by his group of friends to sneaking into an abandoned toy company and bringing back a toy. He was pretty scared. But he managed to find a dusty A.I robot which surprisingly looked like a rabbit. He has no idea how to carry it back home. But yet, it turned on by itself and scanned him for a moment, before happily greeting itself. It really did caught him off guard. It was almost as if it woke up. But that didn't stop him from being amazed by it and taking it out of the building. If he only knew the reason behind the toy company's downfall and the danger behind the robot.

An Elder God In Lagomorph's Clothing: The universe where Junior disguised itself as a Lagomorph named Max on Earth who pretends to be a silly and crazy person who is partners with Sam and they still work together as the freelance police. However, it has a much sinister agenda for the universe.

Human: A universe where Sam and Max are humans. Sam (who goes by Sebastian) works as a detective for the police. Max (who goes by Mathew) makes comics for a comic series 'Sam and Max: Freelance Police'. They're bffs in this universe and hang out together, whenever they're not busy with work.

Driven To Insanity: Sam lives in the world where alot of people were infected by a terrible unknown disease that causes the infected people to suddenly attacked non-infected people. They show signs of discoloration with purple patches on their body and make sounds that sounded like gibberish to any non-infected. Sam is one of many few who aren't sick and has been one his own for a decade now. He ran into Max, who has the disease but he claims to be strangely immune to it. Together, they survive in the zombie-like apocalyptic world.

The Hare And His Lapdog: Sam goes to a seemingly ordinary casino and he has a really good luck streak at poker. This catches the attention and interest of the owner of the building. So, they walk up to him and gives him a deal. If he can beat them at poker, he can walk away with a trillion dollars. However, if he loses, he'll lose all of the winnings and will have to work for them. Sam doesn't see it as much of a challenge and played a game against them. He ends up losing though and had to work for them. However, what he didn't realize that he didn't sign up for the casino. He signed up to work for the Mafia and the owner, who is revealed to be Max, is a the Mafia Boss. Now, Sam is on edge of life or death as he tries to find a way to escape from him.

Tiny Detectives: A universe where a tiny version of Sam and Max somehow ended up in the real world and found their way into my house. Now, I'm taking care of them, while trying to figure out how they ended up here.

I'll most likely update it, if I make more Sam and Max AUs.

For the ballerina charles au, imagine theyve been seeing each other for a little while and charles goes with max to a race and max introduces him to the other drivers and all the red bull staff, and everyone makes a joke at max's expense about how they didnt think someone as elegant as charles would go for someone as clumsy and two-footed as max.

Also, lets say charles is wellknown in the ballet world and when he does go to the race and he shows up on the big screen with the tag "Charles Leclerc, professional ballerina, Max Verstappen's partner" theres a collective meltdown online because what do you mean hes seeing a racecar driver (derogatory)

If max isnt racing, hes at every single show of charles'. He has a standing order at the florist for these extravagant bouquets when he cant be there in person, much to the envy of everyone else in the company.

Omg imagine if charles shows up in the background of one of the twitch streams, and the others goad max into letting him teach him a ballet move or two. Charles busts out a beautiful triple pirouette and max busts his hip trying lol. Ballet lessons are banned by his trainer after that, but max will always make charles show off his skills infront of the camera, if only to brag that he bagged him

Poor Max, people thinking he is not the right partner for someone like Charles. Charles would pay no attention though. Max might not be the most graceful but he is really sweet and loving and not at all how Charles imagined a racing driver would be.

The guys on twitch would definitely get Max trying out some ballet moves though!! Maybe Charles could (very carefully) teach him a basic lift so he could try and impress them 😂

I can just imagine Max at every show he can and giving Charles a standing ovation and being so proud each time he watches him. Perhaps Charles decides to return the favour and buys Max some flowers for after a race... Max is really shocked because nobody has ever bought him flowers before and its so lovely.

Out of all the todobabies I think Touya and Natsuo were the hardest to bond with. Despite still living in the house they both don't really care what their father has going on and are apprehensive when I come into the picture. Bonding with them is like bonding with cats, gotta leave them alone until they come to you.

Helping Natsuo pick out flowers for his first date with his girlfriend was our big bonding experience. Rei wasn't able to help at the time and he'd never ask his dad so he asked me my opinion. Then we ordered them from the florist with Enji’s card (obviously hehe)

With Touya it happened pretty quick despite his adverse attitude the whole time. We shared a smoke out in the garden and then a couple of days later he asked me to drive him a couple of hours away to play a show with his band. He still acts like he couldn't care less around Enji but we're secretly friends.

Fuyumi was so happy to have another girl in the house that she warmed up immediately (she's the sweetest obviously) we bond over cooking and trying new recipes! She's more of the quiet type so I try and check in with her and make sure she's doing good, I think she appreciates it.

Shoto was a bit of a tough nut to crack. The defiant little boy with the "you're not my mom" complex to the max. I had to make it clear multiple times that I wasn't trying to take his mom's place in his life. He warmed up a lot more when he realized I was a neutral party and not completely on Enji's side all the time. Helping him make arts and crafts projects for his mom and taking him out for ice cream are our big bonding moments!

Out of all the kids I think Shoto and Fuyumi are the most attached! We like to go on outings together to museums and aquariums but I've got my own relationship with all the kids and try to forge a better bond with Enji and them too.
