personally, i’ve avoided many later books except for blood and gold. but iwav and tvl were lit.

I read IwaV and I think it was Pandora? One of the later books. And I recently listened to an audio version of the Vampire Lestat which was gr8. (Michael York narrated it and ugh that voice, I love it). Weirdly one of the things that turned me off/ got me to avoid reading the other books was listening to the director/writer discuss some of the changes/cuts they made and wow YIKES,

😡 for an angsty starter

Lot of what if’s and wrong turns lead her down a few roads of fate she’s not sure she would have traveled on if it weren’t for her damn, shitty luck. Tired bones plop down on the steps of his home. No answer when she knocked, she figures he’s either out . Or wrapped up in something too important to hear what’s going on around him. Been there. Done that. Way too many times than she wants to admit. 

Especially lately.. 

Minds are fucked like that. Tend to tug you in directions you don’t want to go in. Regardless of how hard you slam on the breaks. And when it gets too much and her world goes upside down. She sits at the top of his stairs and waits for him. Chewing on the inside of her lip and nudging one thumbnail underneath the other. Leg nervously bouncing because it’s the only way she can distract herself when there’s nothing else going on.

Brows pinch together. How the fuck is she supposed to keep doing this? Cause going from fucked to more fucked? Is a pattern she’s OVER. One victory of crawling her way back. Laced with a dozen walls to run into since. Price to pay? Maybe? Who fucking knows? She hears feet come to a stop at the bottom of the stairs. Hazy eyes lift and their eyes meet.
