the first five
One might ask Viktor why it took him as long as it did to get the spinal surgery that saved his mobility, and it would be a simple answer. The surgery was highly experimental and dangerous, with a very low chance of survival for those with complex conditions like Miner's Disease. Because of the surgery's experimental status, he would also be signing himself over for educational demonstration. Viktor loved the prospect of teaching, not so much the idea of being a hunk of meat on display for examination.
However, eventually came the time where the surgery was absolutely necessary to preserve the movement of his right leg, and thus, he underwent the process. The doctor's didn't sugarcoat it. Due to his condition, age, and recent injury to his leg, his chances of a survival were lower than most, let alone surviving without complications. Despite the odds, Viktor was able to recover and survive the surgery, becoming one of the first five patients with Complex Miner's Disease to do so. They were dubbed 'The First Five' by medical journals.
The first of the five was a Zaunite Vastaya named Denet, who had their medical records sealed.
The second is a young Piltover noble named Kel of House Torek, who was born with Miner's Disease due to his mother's exposure to the Grey on a trip to Zaun. He has gone on to become a concert pianist at age 14. Viktor has attended a concert of his.
The third is a Zaunite artisan named Sarr from Midtown Piltover, who is a florist by trade. After getting the surgery, she was able return to work at her shop, and Viktor sometimes goes there for arrangements to send for work. The two relate over their shared experiences.
Viktor is the fourth in the line up. After his surgery he was placed into a ward with Sarr and Kel, as they were all on similar treatment plans. While in recovery, before being separated and placed in personal rooms, the three got to know one another by voice alone, unable to look up from their positions in bed. Kel was the first to be moved out, but later recognized Viktor at the Academy by his voice alone, and the two had a pleasant reunion.
The fifth of the group is an actress named Floré of House Morichi. She lives a private life outside of her work in the theater. Her medical records are also sealed.

Hello, those of the Precise Museum! Who's your favourite quest exclusive character?
Ingu: Silvie and the rest of the love messengers, Marvett, and Dalida
Cove: Rozatte is my ultimate wife. I also like Ryatafu and Comone. And for series in general with ultimate faves in parentheses… the Parascience Institute (Nyevus, Mckenna, and Uldoradd), the Stellar mages (Rufus and Nasos), the Sages (Galatea and Dalida), the Warlocks (Richard and Miriam), the Tidal Roar Knights (Korallia and Istio), and the Dark and Light Academy angels (Patri and Ciel). I don't play PPQ anymore personally but I was a regular player for years and I remember playing it way before multiquests were even a thing... so I picked up a lot of faves haha.
Neni: My favorites are Floré, the entire Space Time Detective Agency and Zero&Eight. :-)
Vic: dream couriers, kigurumi, sages, stellar mages, cleaner boys, doctors, assisstant… probably some others. more specific characters though: zenon, pengurumi, draude iii, nasos, nukahokkori, tanya, marte… yeah there's def more but this is long enough as is. also low-high forever (dalida zenon wacht).
Luna: My favorite quest character is HILDA my beautiful wife who I've been married to for coming up on 6 years <3 all of the accursed knights are really special to me and have been living in my head rent free since I started quest in 2017. if I had to pick a second favorite it would be Crowlas since it feels like they designed him just for me lol. I have a lot of other faves but some of the biggest ones are pollux, hachi/eight, eriaski, and dalida & galatea (do not separate them)
Saetta: I dislike quest! but I guess atari and seo. the rest is too much
Pieniondz: For me Questies are simply a bunch of PNGs, although that may be because not only I haven't seriously played the game for years, but also because I can't read Japanese. I just nuked everything with Rafisol until endgame lol. As for a legit answer… does Paprisu count?
Armando: I like undine The design is cute and she starts as a blob
And Res' list is under the read more.

Introducing the faculty of Crescent Moon Academy
1st is Headmistress Chernatalia Boggart.
A calm and collected woman, known to be her students biggest support as she would do anything to keep them from harm.
Is said to be hiding something, and if you anger her you’ll see why.
Twisted from Chernabog
2nd is Dr René Von Hämservel
The alchemy teacher, know to her students as Dr Insanity as she tends to perform the craziest of experiments in front of them.
Is the daughter of a renowned scientist from the Floré Archipelago who may or may not have created a serum to create hybrids.
Twisted from Dr Hämsterviel
Lastly we have Professor J. Warrow Foulfoot (the J stands for Julianne)
The history professor who has a distinct way of getting the information in her students as much as it comes out of them (she likes to gossip and has dirt on those who annoy her)
A bit conceited but means well, she gives good advice!
Twisted from Honest John
————
So a bit of information on Crescent Moon Academy
Has 7 dorms and is an all female school. Is one of the more prominent schools underneath RSA/NRC.
Was founded almost 30 years ago by Headmistress Boggart and her wife.
Crescent Moon Academy focuses mainly on smarts and defence, although many of the students have formed their own clubs to expand their arsenal.
There are clubs such as baseball or hockey. Or painting and musical theatre club.
They vary depending on the students!
You do have to let the president of the student body know if you’d like to form one though.
The ladies at this school are jacks of all trades, you have aspiring politicians to the influencers or those of royal lineage and much more.
(They even have the con artists this year)
Each year will take on a project to define not only their experiences but what they have learned
This is named the Memory Festival and it invites the other schools to join them in celebration of each year.
Crescent Moon Academy hopes to see you soon!

whoa boy , today has been a day. she’s been body slammed by doc oc , chasing goons all over the city , & she hasn’t even had time to stop for breakfast. sometimes , being spiderman is just exhausting. there she goes , though. thwipping through the streets , & dying of hunger .
well , maybe not dying at this exact moment , but there’s a rumble in her stomach , & she’s pretty sure everyone can hear that. so now she looks to land , & slides down a wall. here’s a new problem for the day : her spider sense is half a second too late to alert her to a lip in a brick, & our hero is sent tumbling down the alley. if she wasn’t achey from the slam from a nefarious villain , she’s definitely going to be feeling the fall off a nefarious wall.
our hero gets up with a loud, definitely pained groan. carefully she stretches out , wincing at a sharp pain in her ribs. slight fracture , maybe . & now she’s noticed a civilian staring at her. now the groan is born of humiliation. ❝ hey man , please tell me you didn’t record that . ‘ve got an image to uphold as . . . not a klutz. ❞

a list of fun things from the 13th c. Livre d’Artus
The Livre d’Artus is a thirteenth-century prose romance that covers the early years of Arthur’s reign (the same time period covered by the Suite Vulgate and the Suite Post-Vulgate). It is uniquely funny in tone and essentially seeks to chronicle the various misadventures of Arthur’s teenaged court. Arthur becomes king at 15/16 depending on the text, and the LDA follows Arthur, Gawain, Sagremore, Guinevere, and Morgan as ‘novaus gens’ (read: teenagers / young adults) as they navigate court intrigue and come to terms with their sexualities. The text has a very frank approach to sexuality and pleasure (particularly female pleasure!) and isn't (I think) particularly moralising. It also seems deeply attuned to social realities in a way that isn't usual of prose romance, and much of the supernatural elements are toned down. most importantly, it is so deeply funny it makes me laugh out loud. It sometimes reads like someone telling you the most batshit crazy gossip you’ve ever heard. (also uuuh this is nsfw I guess)
- Starting off with what surprised me the most and still makes me feel delighted: Guinevere is not a virgin on her wedding night. She has a lover, Golengros, a local knight from Carmeliard, and it is implied that their relationship continues for a little while after her marriage. Good for her!!!!!
- Gawain is famous for his parties and their are some vivid descriptions of his personal lodgings, crowded with minstrels and prostitutes and locals. In one particularly funny passage Gawain is shown attending morning mass following a night of complete debauchery that literally made the neighbours complain and when he returns, Eliezer, Gawain’s long-suffering squire, is being tipped out of the window by some of Gawain’s disgruntled guests
- Eliezer is a very stressed and overworked 14 year old and he deserves a raise for dealing with gawain 24/7
- throughout the Middle Ages the Church would issue manuals on what-not-to-do-during-sex as sex was for procreation ONLY but the LDA describes sex in unusual detail and goes out of its way to describe characters doing everything the Church would have warned against such as: kissing, sex while pregnant, touching breasts, different positions, and, god forbid, removing one’s clothing.
- another bizarre detail: Florée loses her virginity and Gawain helps her change the bedsheets before her mother comes to wish her good morning ?????? Gawain pretends to be sick so he can stay in Florée’s parents’ lodgings and continue tumbling their daughter. Florée eventually bears him an illegitimate child.
- Arthur is staying with the countess of Orrofoise, who has a beautiful unmarried sister. oh lord I dont know how to put this but he is sleeping in the hall and wakes up with what the text describes as ‘un mal d’homme’. Arthur is mortified. He does however get laid so I guess it works out.
- Gawain seduces the sister of long-time rival Guingambresil. When they first go to bed together, she complains that he is too harsh with her breasts (’la pucele soupire et le prent par la main et li dit sire vos me bleciez’ / the damsel sighs and takes his hand and says sir you are hurting me - poor girl she is so done) she then instructs him on what she likes.
- Morgan is presented in a surprisingly balanced light - she may be promiscuous (’the most lustful woman in all of Britain’ - the text seems almost impressed), stubborn, and cursed with a terrible temper, but she is also highly intelligent, curious, witty, a skilled seamstress and craftswoman (she is shown working on a gold head covering for her sister), and a dedicated patron of the church. When she flees court in disgrace (she is unmarried and found in bed with a knight by guinevere, triggering a decades long feud between the two women) she takes all of her personal wealth with her and has a chapel built in the val sans retour as well as some crosses along the roadside. The text forgets she is an enchantress for a whole while and so when she starts casting spells its bizarrely jarring but in a funny way.
- A pagan woman falls in love with sagremore but sagremore won't have sex with her unless she gets baptised so the woman tips a jug of water over her head. sagremore thinks this is extremely funny and they sleep together. (initially I was writing this list from memory and hilariously assumed this MUST be gawain as this sounds exactly like the kinds of antics he gets up to but no, it is sagremore - apologies!)
- Arthur rescues a lion cub and its by far the most normal thing on this list
#uuuuuh yeah so this is something I do on this blog I guess#just rant abt random prose romances no-one has heard of#arthuriana#arthurian legend#IM SORRY EVERYONE
