🎶 What would you do if I sang out of tune? Would you stand up and watch out for me?

👀 Watch out! Snowy plovers are arriving on our shores from their annual migrations, ready to nest on open beaches and dunes. Low-fuss, no-muss experts, those nests are really just delicate depressions in the sand—sometimes even in a divot left behind by a human footprint!

🧐 These skittish shorebirds are currently listed as a threatened species due to habitat loss because of human disturbances. Snowy plover nesting season occurs during the summer months when people visit beaches the most. Adult snowy plovers scurry away when their nests are approached, and it may be hours before they can return. While they’re away, their eggs can be crushed, overheat in the sun, or become a meal for a watchful predator. 

💙 You can help our snowy friends get by next time you’re enjoying some fun in the sun by keeping your four-legged friends on a leash, staying out of areas that are blocked off as bird nesting sites, and keeping beaches clean by picking up trash that might attract plover predators. Share the shore and keep an eye out on your next beach walk for a glimpse of these charming chums!

Which beastie boy do you think would be the least scary objectively? Some of these guys would be pretty terrifying to run into for the first time, especially since Yuu isn’t from a world of inhuman creatures.

Well, even the cute looking ones can be scary at times because of their personality, but if were going when you run into them the first time.

Vil, Rook, and Epel wouldn't be bad, I think. Vil may be intimidating in a "Oh wow he's so freaking pretty" kind of way at first but not scary. Rook is a floofy owl and prob wouldn't scare you until he gets really close and shows his excitement about meeting a human, Epel is just so cute be it birb, bull, or bunny Epel.

I don't think any of the Heartslabyul would be scary, even with Trey being a bear since despite being a dangerous predators bears are very...well...bears.

Jack and Leona could be scary given their size and a grumpy face but the floof both would have, Leona's mane and Jack's... everything could really kill the intimidation factor. Ruggie wouldn't be scary at first glance unless he happens to be yawning or something.

Though thinking about it a few of them are probs more intimidating when showing of the big teethies.

Peeps at the school seem scared of the twins already in their more human forms and they would prob be a bit scarier in the nonhuman AU since everyone is a lot less human-looking, so they would prob be on the scary list, probably not Azul though. Pretty colors and squish aren't scary, needle teeth can definitely be though.

Can't say Kalim or Jamil would be scary at first meeting. Cute happy fluffy boy with a pretty snake dude.

Maybe Sebek at first given he's big and loud, Mal would be so pretty with his black scales, Silver is just a sleepy horsey, and Lilia is an adorable bat twink. Can't say that's very scary.

Ortho is just an adorable bee-bot boy. I think people would likely be scared of Idia at first given how so many people are scared of or at least uncomfortable with spiders...but again, the floof takes away intimidation points along with the pretty colors.

The least scary at the first meeting would prob be Ortho, Lilia, Silver, Riddle, Epel, and Kalim.

Since Powers Au!Joy has (kinda floofy?) wings, does she do that thing where birbs comb/clean their wings with their beaks?

In a kinda of way yes but instead she uses a brush since she likes taking care of herself

she tends to her wings, which probably make a mess if she tries to take a shower since the little fur of the feathers go everywhere...

Ahem.

Cross is one difficult motherfucker to get to rest. Really difficult. He's probably one of the most duty-bound out of the flock because he has nothing else to pour time and effort into aside from his work.

It's pretty obvious that he's sick. He's off his food, unsteady on his feet when he initially stands up, dazed eyelights, struggling to keep focus, etc. But he'll still keep going. Protest all you want, but nothing short of literally grabbing him by the wing and dragging his ass back into your nest will stop him from trying to do things.

He hates to admit it but he loves it when you dote on him and treat him like a baby as he deserves. Once you've finally convinced him to stay the heck down, he becomes quite clingy and snuggly, often talking more in chirps and churrs then using the actual effort to speak.

He's embarrassed by it and you'll still find him getting up every now and then to sneakily attempt to do chores. If you bully him enough then he'll get back in bed, no worries

It's also scientifically proven that treating him like the adorable floofy guy he is helps him recover quicker and better.
