Trying to get this #mandolin properly #InTune with itself- frustrating. The #floatingbridge is not placed properly, so while I can get the courses in tune when simply played open, as you travel up the #FretBoard things quickly get out of tune. The 7th fret SHOULD match the next course, instead it's notably sharp and the 6th fret is flat- it would be next to impossible to get this thing in tune with itself by ear. Also, the 12th fret should finish a full scale on that course, but it too is sharp. Aaaaaaaaaaaaa The 12th fret is 172mm from the nut and it was 178mm from the bridge, they should be equidistant. I've been so preoccupied with school, I hadn't really considered the bareness of the deciduous trees here. So I took a walk through the neighborhood to shoot "up" some trees. 🍂🍃🍁 . . Two guys were standing 👬 at the viewpoint at the end of 35th. Normally people in my neighborhood aren't terribly friendly, but that doesn't stop me from talking with them! 🗣�� . . We admired the view and talked about how strange it was that some kind of atmospheric phenomenon occurs where the mountain sometimes looks really close 🏔️ and sometimes looks so far away. 🗻 How come?! Do you know? . . I hadn't seen Mt Rainier for a long time, but there it was in all its glory. I think shots taken from a great distance is still a big challenge for mobile phone cameras. 📱 As far as I know, they're simply incapable of doing such photos justice. . . I said goodbye, and coughing into the crook of my elbow, I went home to finish my assignment that was due tonight. 👩‍💻 Happily I have one awesome professor who now sometimes sends out email reminders.
