The Woman and the Dragon

1 And a great sign was seen in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon underneath her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars;

14 And to the woman there were given the two wings of the great eagle that she might fly into the wilderness into her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time from the face of the serpent.

15 And the serpent cast water as a river out of his mouth after the woman that he might cause her to be carried away by its current.

16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed the river which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

😨 FEARFUL - when scared, do they go into "flight" or "fight"?

Being a civilian for the most part, Khare still hasn't really come to terms with fighting. When push comes to shove, flight is much preferred but in most situations she's liable to freeze unless attacked, and even then she'd make a break for the nearest exit. Fortunately she'd had no trouble since coming to Gotham; people mind their own business and customers at Pauli's Diner are more interested in a hot meal than harassing waitresses, especially as police activity in the area increased since the Scarecrow's recent attack on the Grand Avenue.

The last time Khare was (intentionally) violent was when she assaulted the guard assigned to her cell. As he bent over to inspect her 'corpse', she headbutted him, which broke his nose and slammed his head against the wall for good measure before absconding with the keys out of the facility she'd been held in. The second time was more self-defence when, while travelling down south after she'd escaped, a grizzly bear decided she'd make a tastier meal than the salmon in the river. Khare lost a limb in the attack which regrew shortly afterwards, but the bear was left with more than a few scars when the flesh he'd bitten off starting biting back.
