So like idk how many people are on the Stretch Armstrong hype train but if you are then pls just imagine Jake missing one too many extracurriculars and his dad is like "It's that boy Nathan isn't it??? I knew he was a bad influence!!"

And the next time they meet it's all Nathan tripping over himself trying to be Literal Sunshine (bc let's face it he is the Best Boi!!) and Jake's dad just glaring at him with squinty eyes and being all "I know what you're up to"

In light of the horrible joss whedon news, i have a series rec that i hope might cheer you up!! Stretch Armstrong & the FlexFighters is about 3 best friends (one of whom is voiced by steven yeun and is my personal fave!!!) who get stretchy powers and become their futuristic scifi city's personal superhero team, it's funny and sweet and a l'il cheesy but the boys have such distinct amazing personalities, i hope you consider giving it a try!!!

That sounds neat! And you know I’d watch anything with my boy Steven Yeun in it (And by anything I mean Voltron because The Walking Dead is sad and I don’t know him in anything else) I’ll have to check it out!

So like bc of you i started on the flexfighters and omg I'm in love even tho I'm only on the first ep, Nathan is my fave and i was wondering what you hc him as bc i saw in one post that called him Chinese bc his ethnicity is never stated, even tho Park is a common Korean last name and his VA is Korean and Nathan being Korean would mean a lot to me (also i love your art it's really cool!!)

AWW THANK YOU!! isn’t Stretch great?? Two of my favorite people, @the-guardian-of-fun and @drawology were storyboard artists/revisionists on the show and I’m pretty sure Nathan is canonically Korean!

Stretch Armstrong and the FlexFighters strike me a very sinister show

Like, I don’t know if it’s because the first episode had them claimed by a corporation that basically rebuilt the city they live in

Or if in the second episode had them given a Facebook-esque website, complete with phones

Or if in the third episode the corporation was given complete control over the city’s resources

Or if in the fourth episode

......

I mean it’s completely normal that three teenage superheros are claimed immediately after the accident that created them happened, are given things and privileges and control of the entire city, right?

Also, very conveniently, the helper robots that were created and then scraped because of suspicious programming that enabled the robots to beat the heros.

....

I guess what I’m trying to say is, the corporation is evil, and I expect it to become the biggest villain ever, and I can’t wait to see this happen.
