Past two weeks have been pretty rough. Had a bad allergic reaction that continued to get worse for ten days. Still on meds but finally able to somewhat workout. 
Today’s fitness recap:

Aye yo! Been away for a loonnnngggg time. Unfortunately suffered an injury to my hand that required surgery in June (don't get drunk and make Mac and cheese in the woods at 2 am) so I was immobilized for a while and lost a lot of muscle mass. Then with moving and all that, let's just say it's been a stressful couple of months. But I finally found a good MMA gym here in my new town and am adding CrossFit to my regiment! So now it CrossFit in the morning at 5:30am, and MMA after work. Nutrition wise I'm sticking with a 80/20 split on the Paleo diet, it works for me, but I can't give up beer 😅 I'm getting back to where I used to be! Huge shout out to @somonebeatmetoit , the last couple months woulda been hell without you.

Man I got busy for like two months so I haven't posted workout logs lol.
Still keeping it steady, though I got sick a couple weeks ago and that threw me off for several days. Work got busy too and I had a bunch of other stuff going on.
I signed up for a kung fu tournament sooooo that should be fun. No expectations other than to just do it. I'll probably come in last tbh. But that's okay.
It's all good though. Enjoy my arms.

Korra Fitness 10/26
Today's been an emotional day for me. I wont go into details but know that it got better for me after talking with my girl. I was awake long before the gym opened so I took advantage of the gym I have in my apartment complex. My Keurig broke yesterday morning and.. I am not coping well without the caffeine. I walked to the gas station for a cheap cup before wandering into the fitness center. They don't have free weights in there but they do have some machines so at least it's something.
2 mile jog
Chest press- 25x, 25lbs; 10x, 30lbs
Shoulder press- 20x, 20lbs; 10x 25lbs
Leg press- 20x, 40lbs; 10x 60lbs
Also since it's Flex Like Korra Friday, and I haven't posted an update photo in a while, here it is! I can already see some development and it feels so good!

Hey everyone!
So what better way to introduce myself than on a Flex Like Korra Friday, right?? My name is Sofia, and I’ll be turning 20 here in exactly a week. I’m currently a 2nd year university student attending NYU in the big city, though this semester I’m living at home with my mom in Ohio, taking a break from all the craziness.
My whole thing with being fit and badass like Korra started basically when the show started. When the promos began to air I was instantly hooked and kept watching the show all the way until it ended. I had an interest in martial arts way before, since I was 7 I think in 2005. I have moved around my whole life so it’s been very difficult for me to find an art that would have been constant throughout anywhere I went, plus have overprotective parents who aren’t keen on me getting knocked upside the head everyday didn’t help much.
So ho and behold, in 2012 my family moved all the way to Shanghai from where we’d been the past 6 years in Ohio. And I took that chance to learn as many cool and crazy things as I could. I immediately sought out a Gongfu master, whom I was lucky enough to find and get him to teach me despite him being retired. And I found a parkour group in the city, where I learned mostly flowing, along with some freerunning and tricking. That’s when I really began to feel like I was becoming more and more like Korra.
In 2014, at 16, my family moved back to Ohio and I finished out my high school years as a cross country running and a discus thrower, putting a bit of a halt to my badassery. However as soon as I stepped off the stage at graduation I began looking for places to do martial arts over the summer since I knew I wouldn’t be doing much and was fortunate enough to come across Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As university got started I began to encounter obstacles I never thought I’d have to face, like loneliness, helplessness, and eventually depression and anxiety. I began to gain weight, and by the end of 2017 I had body image issues (on top of everything else) and an extra 22 pounds than what I had on the day I started uni. So last semester I decided to do something about it and truly take care of myself, and that’s why I took this break I’m on now. In June of this year I will have been doing BJJ for 2 years, and though I’m still a white belt, this martial art has shown me that there are more ways to being a badass than just how your body looks. It’s taught me that what your body can DO is just as, if not more important, that how your body looks (though with training and effort your body appearance does eventually follow it’s practicality). So this is where I am! Currently training BJJ and getting ready to compete once again, preparing for a comeback. And in case anyone is interested, since I came home at the beginning of February, I’ve already lost 12lbs, so I’m more than halfway to my goal of 143lbs.
I’m excited to become a part of this family, learn from, and meet all of you awesome people!

Flex Friday!
So I've gone back to where I was basically in September 2017, and honestly I'm just gonna try and be really positive about it because there isn't much else I can be. Shit happens, we fall down and we fail and sometimes it's our own damn self that gets in the way. But I'm still counting it as a win that I was able to get back up and try again.

haven’t really been working out lately so i’ve been pretty down about that. i’ve been studying so much and it’s just gonna get harder these next few weeks 😓 BUT i’ve been able to keep the weight i’ve lost so far off pretty well but i still need to clean up my eating so that’s something to work on. this was me before jitsu practice earlier! i was planning on doing a lot tonight, but your girl is jonesing for an easy night so i’m off to do a couple assignments and binge watch bnha compilations (i have a serious problem 😂😂)

I’ve still been working out and keeping up with the meditation. The app that I use for meditation (Insight Timer) has added quite a bit of new stuff that has helped me to stick with it. I’ve been trying out some of the guided meditations which have been useful.
Today’s fitness recap:

Happy flex Friday Korra Fam!!!
Added CrossFit to my workout regiment this week. So now it's CrossFit at 5:30 am and MMA after work later on Monday-Friday, and back to back classes on Saturday morning. Goal is to get fitter overall first and then work on cutting.
Hopefully I can keep the morning classes up. The morning is evviillll.
