Fleece of the Deal Breaker because to get it, you have to break the deal maker (|)w(|)
so any way, I want DLC to kill The Fox from COTL
something of a spiritual successor to this art

one thousand iphone screens - park jimin
500 words of sweetness and fluff, inspired by birds of a feather by billie eilish.
my masterlist!
*ੈ✩‧₊˚*ੈ✩‧₊˚*ੈ✩‧₊˚
jimin couldn’t stop thinking about you. every moment of every day, his mind was full of you. when he was at the bakery, all he could think about was if you’d want a strawberry tart. when he was at uni, all he could think about was if your labs were going well. you, you, you.
he was done for.
his friends couldn’t stop reminding him of it, either. every time they caught him smiling at his too-bright phone school—the very same brightness level you always reprimanded him for—(jimin, you’ll go blind!)—they would clap his shoulder and laugh at how doomed he was. how utterly down bad.
as if he wasn’t aware of it.
at that point in time, it had been only six short months of your first meeting, and yet he felt you were the most perfect woman he’d ever laid eyes upon. your dark eyes—dark, yet bright—the brightest he’d ever seen. gleaming like lanterns in the sunlight and the moonlight and in the annoyingly bright glow of his beaten-up iphone, too. your long hair, loose pieces framing your face no matter how irritatedly you would tuck it behind your ears. it used to be black, you’d told him on your first date, but you’d dyed it brown years ago and couldn’t stop. endearingly, he’d called you an addict, and you’d laughed and didn’t correct him.
jimin loved everything about you. everything.
being around you was like being under the summer sun. it was like being under the light of all of the stars and yet feeling like the brightest celestial of them all was the one right next to him. he was so lucky. he was so fucking lucky.
and now, two years on, as his hands reached into the fleecey pocket of his sherpa jacket, the mountainous scenery around you framing your bright smile and dimpled cheeks as you stared into the distance, captivated by the sights, he couldn’t help the smile that broke across his own face, even though his heart pounded louder than it ever had before.
the box was velvety in his hand and the moment you spun around, he was on one knee, the knee of his cargo pants planted firmly into the wet dirt. he would never forget the look on your gorgeous face—the blues and greens of the nature around the two of you reflected in your widened eyes, cheeks pink with the autumn breeze and also your blush.
“will you marry me, my love?”
when you beamed brighter than he’d ever seen, yelling out your affirmation, he couldn’t help but pick you up and throw you into the air before kissing you deeply, holding you so close he thought you would mould into him. he wished you would.
the light of the afternoon sun felt dampened when compared to the joyous sparkle of your eyes as he slipped your engagement ring onto your finger. so bright. brighter than a thousand annoyingly-well-lit iphone screens.
so much brighter than that.

Tag game
Thanks for the tags, @sflow-er and @k-pepp! I am gonna try to put together a solid poll for this.
I’m going to do an open tag on this one, because so many people I already know have already done it. Please steal this if you’d like to.
Picking a treasure from my room also gets you complimentary iced green tea because I’m literally always drinking it.

Some things to consider if you are donating hygiene products to shelters/food banks (if you have the means):
Unscented soap for sensitive skin. (Dove and Ivory are so good for this but I know there are store brands).
Unscented lotion! Lotion isn't a very highly donated product and, when it is, it tends to be very fragrant. This is a problem because fragrant lotions contain a lot of alcohol in them which in turn dries the skin out and is not very good for people with sensitive skin or skin issues and is definitely an issue for houseless people who are more exposed to the elements outside.
Body/deodorant wipes.
Deodorant sticks and sprays.
Regular chapstick. Burt's Bees contains beeswax and Carmex/Blistex are medicated, all can make chapped lips worse and you can actually develop an allergy to their ingredients.
Adult diapers. People donate baby diapers and they donate feminine hygiene products but donations of adult diapers are few and far between and shelters/food banks see a lot of traffic from new, healing mothers or older children with developmental disabilities or elderly members of our population.
First aid kits.
Activities for kids (cheap coloring books and some crayon packs, fidget toys, little puzzles). It may seem silly to some but I once got to tell a mom that I included some little age appropriate toys for her kiddos and I will think about her reaction and the hug she gave me for the rest of my life.
Blankets. Little fleecey throw blankets are so important and are, unfortunately, the difference between life and death during these colder months.
Underwear and socks. I have had people tell me that they don't want to donate underwear because they feel like it's creepy. It's not creepy. These are basic necessities and they are often times hardly donated and asking for help at all is hard but asking for more personal items like underwear can be downright embarrassing. Especially when it's not available. People are less likely to ask in the future when that happens (especially if treated or looked at judgmentally when they ask).
Hair products for different hair types. A lot of these organizations serve minority populations in our communities because the system has been set up to keep non-white people down and in poverty (anybody can experience poverty but, please remember that systemic racism plays a huge role in why these services are desperately needed and horribly underfunded). Hair products like shampoo and conditioner are donated but it's 99.9% of the time going to be very cheap products that aren't good for any hair type but definitely are not good for people with coarse hair or curly/kinky hair. If you have the means, please consider donating some products specifically formulated for Black hair. I am not somebody who needs those products so I don't have much knowledge into the brands that are actually good. So I do encourage anybody who can help with a list of products they'd recommend to reblog this and add those items on.
And if all of that is just too overwhelming of a list but you would like to do something, call around to some local schools and ask if they have some lunch debt you can pay off for some babies. If you want to go further, ask if you can put some money on the books for some of the kids so that they can have a hot meal because, unfortunately, school lunches are often times the only time some of these babies have a hot meal. And having to do that at all is a failure of our society and government that desperately needs to be fixed but if we can help ease the burden of struggling parents on the road to that goal, then I think we should do that because it really does take a village but the extreme individualism mindset of this country has left so many people behind.

A whippet breeder who is a client at my job, also named Phoebe, gave us a coat she says is too big for her whippets and thus she thought maybe would fit a doberman. It's also too big for Phoebe 🤣 but it's warm and mostly fits so from Phoebe to Phoebe we have now a nice fleecey.

(@goldenrodchef) Um. Hi. Uh.
How do you make Mimikyu cloths?
-Gen
it depends on if im making a cloth for bean or for another mimikyu! bean prefers cotton and fleecey textures, so i use those fabrics for him. i usually use cotton for cloths, but some mimikyus have textural preferences i try to work with. and i try to make the inside of the cloth as hollow as possible so mimikyu has room to be comfortable underneath! and i purposely try to make them look a little strange and “wrong,” because ive noticed that mimikyus tend to avoid exact-match cloths like that. a few like them, but they seem to be outliers in my experience

I think I need “inside” socks and “outside” socks. As in, inside/outside my room.
We don’t have a door mat and nobody (except me, when I’m in a sisyphus kind of mood) sweeps the floor of the hall. So people are constantly tracking dirt and leaves in. My room needs vacuuming two or three times a week.
I’ve spent MONTHS absolutely baffled because my fleecey electric blanket has a ton of dead leaves stuck to it. Then I put up my feet one day and it suddenly hit me: when I’m in the hall the dead leaves stick to my socks, which then get stuck to the fleece when I put my feet up.
Don’t know how I’m going to get all these dead leaf fragments off my blanket, augh.
