The Ghost Of You
Whumpuary 2024 January 13-14th, 2024 "I didn't know where else to go"/Brusies/Drugged "Flash" Morgan Webster/Mark Andrews Supernatural AU
Tumblr media
The floorboards of the apartment creaked and Morgan Webster knew that he was not alone.
It was silly to think that he might be, after all, Morgan knew the truth about the world that surrounded him. He had known the true nature of the world since the 1960's when the redhead he met in a seedy little club with his friends had dug her fangs into his neck and altered his life forever. Now here he sat in the living area of his flat, hearing the floorboards creak like they had every night for the past two years.
Two years that had truly made the eternity he was living through feel like eternity.
It had been two years since the death of one of his fellow countrymen, a lad he had befriended named Mark Andrews. The official report had read animal attack. Something had slashed the young man to ribbons. Morgan knew the truth, he had seen the marks one too many times in his years of unliving. The animal that attacked Mark wasn't fully animal, nor was it fully human. Mark had been mauled by a werewolf.
Mark had been mauled by their friend Maddox Lovell in his first change.
The little group of friends hadn't spoken since the funeral. For Maddox, he felt too much guilt and grief for his unwilling actions. He took off in the dead of night, followed by his younger brother Harlow and a were-pig, a Grondr in his people's tongue, named Mike. The pixie that Mark and Morgan had always affectionately called their daughter, a young woman named Dani, had retreated back to whichever of the fae court's she served in her sadness. The last of the group to leave had been Mark's partner at the time of his death, the only human in the group, a man named Eddie Dennis. With the man he had loved so much gone, Eddie had fallen fast into despair and then into madness. These days he worked as a hunter of the supernatural, aiming for revenge against Maddox. For the first time, Morgan was truly alone.
Or he should have been alone.
The creaking of the floorboards down the hall echoed once again and Morgan's eyes shifted from the television towards the sound. In the beginning, he had told himself that the noise was simply the house settling. The more often he had heard the noise, he had simply come to the conclusion that it was a phantom or poltergeist of some kind. Morgan had never checked the noises when he heard them, but tonight something seemed to compel him to do so.
He moved towards the spare bedroom, a chill coming over him. He didn't have blood to run cold, it shouldn't be possible. He tossed the bedroom door open, blinking incredulously at the sight before him. It was a shimmering outline of blue, but it was an outline that he knew. He knew those charming blue eyes. He knew that shy grin as the figured stuffed its hands into spectral pockets. It was a casual figure of blue light, as light as he had been in life.
"Mark?" Morgan let out a little sound of sadness. If he were human, he would have begun to cry, "Mark...how...wha'..."
"I didn't know where else to go," Mark admitted. His voice sounded as if it were a million miles away, but somehow also too close, a whisper in Morgan's ear. The only difference in death than he had been in life, other than the voice, was the set of claw marks across his otherwise boyish face, "I...Eddie can't see me. I tried, but he thinks I'm a hallucination. He wasn't listenin' to me..."
"I can see ya, Mark," Morgan moved in to hug his friend. Morgan's cold skin passed right through the figure in front of him and he felt himself almost lose balance, "We...we'll figure it out. We'll talk to him. We'll stop him."

Note
54 with Flash Morgan Webster, please? Health/Ability inclusive reader?
So, after reaching out to the author privately, we decided that the reader, in this scenario, is a wheelchair user.
#54: One reaching for the others hand to comfort them, to provide support. A thumb brushing lightly against skin.
"Oh my god, this is amazing!"
Flash looked at you with a smile; you rarely got to go to big events like this one, like his teammate Mark Andrews's concert, because of your limited mobility. Luckily, he'd managed to talk Mark into letting you watch from right off the side of the stage; he'd even come a few hours earlier, while you'd been resting, to make sure that there was a clear path for you to safely get around without damaging your chair.
"We know that you'd wanted to come, but you were worried about if you'd be able to see or even move around. So of course, I wanted to make sure that you got your chance to see them."
You smiled, touched by his thoughtfulness. He was already so careful to make sure that you could get around wherever you went for dates, that there were ramps or elevators if you needed them, appropriate paths that wouldn't cramp you or even make you feel bad about clogging the sidewalks. This, though? This was a whole new level of care from him, and it made you feel warmer than hot chocolate on a rainy day.
"Thank you so much, baby. I really appreciate this."
He smiled and leaned over, taking his eyes off the stage to kiss your forehead. He loved seeing you like this, excited and happy and free. Free from worries and stress, from the anxieties that often followed you around mentally.
"Of course, it's nothing. I'd do it any time for you."
You reached out, taking his hand as you listened to Junior playing Fall To Pieces, the song that you and Flash had jokingly co-opted as "your song." You grinned as Mark looked right at you, making a silly face and then nearly missing his line because of it.
Flash let his thumb run over the back of your hand, gentle circles reminding you that he was there with you, that he was absolutely in your corner if it got to be too much and you needed to leave, or if you needed anything else. He was there for you.
You pulled your hand away for a moment to cheer as Junior finished their last song, filing offstage as the fans screamed. Si and Matt smiled politely, waving as they passed you, but Mark stopped to give you a giant hug.
"So, did you enjoy our show?"
"I loved it! You guys did so good!"
Flash chuckled at your excitement as Mark ruffled your hair a bit, a proud smile on his face.
"Well, we never fail to disappoint, right?"
You laughed and agreed, but you couldn't help but pin your gaze to Flash, who was staring at you as if you were a million-dollar lottery ticket, eyes swimming with pride and happiness.
"Anyways, I've gotta go shower, I smell like an indie show locker room and that's not ideal. It was so good to have you here!"
Mark waved as he walked off, and Flash moved behind you, giving you a quick tap in the shoulder before he started to turn your chair to get you to your car. He listened as you talked excitedly, recounting all of your favorite details about the setlist, the performance, and how you'd never forget tonight. You leaned your head back to look up at him, smiling when he moved a hand from the chair's handle and poked your nose.
"I mean it, Flash, I loved it. Thank you so much for making this happen."
He smiled, stopping completely as he leaned down to kiss you.
"I'd do it all over again for you, especially to see you this happy. I love you so much."

GRAPS AND CLAPS DOES PROGRESS
Hello everyone and welcome to the story of Show 66 of the #100showyear which took me on a monster 4 hour journey via Leeds to Progress Wrestling in jolly old Camden Town for their last show before the big one of the year at Ally Pally. So this was a case of putting the final pieces into the jigsaw before the hype train leaves the station, lets see what went down.
One thing to point out using Virgin East Coast trains is the big difference from its West Coast rivals is that they have put plug sockets next to each set of seats, which for anyone knows who dont have a table seat can be an arse to charge your phone which is soon dwindling down to 5%. Also posher seats with more padding for my ever expanding arse - all this travelling and sitting down does nothing for my svelt figure - Hey Fatty Bum Bum!!
Arriving in London, it was straight to the usual Premier Inn at Euston at a cost of £82 for the night, you know what you are getting with a Premier Inn - if its good enough for Lenny Henry its good enough for me. One downfall though was the lack of bedding on the sofa bed, which meant our Geoff was to take up his usual 3/4s of the bed and me clinging on for dear life staring into the abyss of the carpeted floor. As stated by a few wrestlers on twitter - Why do hotels never stick plug sockets on your bedside table to charge your mobile? Never got it myself why this is the case 😕
All checked in, it was straight to the ballroom as the first bout of the afternoon was at 330pm. Getting in i have noticed that Progress have stopped putting wristbands on the seats, not sure why but im sure someone will know? It felt a quieter crowd than usual due to the transport issues getting into the capital but soon filled up once the action began.
Pre show action began with Never Say Die vs The debuting Aussie Open in a really good opener and could have easily been on the main card. The Aussies who have become instant favourites since arriving to the UK took most of the action on NSD, impressing with flying cutters, piledrivers and other high octane offence - sadly no Awful Waffle from Mark Davies to finish the match as they were soon overhauled by NSD who picked the win up in around 10 minutes. Good stuff and would like to see Aussie Open again in Progress as they could be a great addition to a growing division.
First main match was Strangler Davis fresh from disposing of long time partner - Rob Lynch vs Connor Mills in an ok opener mainly to get over the noose wielding Strangler as a force to be reckoned with. Davis is very much submission based showing off shades of 1980s World of Sport arm whips and headscissors, Mills tried his best but succoumbed to the strangle for the tapout in about 7 minutes. 1-2 NOOSE!!!! Your Winner James Davis 👍 .
Interview time with Flash Morgan Webster and Progress Odd Couple - Jimmy Havoc and Mark Haskins with added Townsend The Tree bought by Progress Management for Flash (Daylight Shrubbery if you ask me). Very funny segment this which set up a tag match at the end of the night with Travis Banks and Resident Scowler - Pete Dunne interjecting themselves. So it was made Haskins & Havoc vs Dunne & Banks in a Dysfunctional Tag Team Match HOLLA HOLLA MY FRIENDS!
Womens No.1 Contendership match up next with Jinny vs Dahlia Black for the right to face Toni Storm at Ally Pally. Very physical match here with Jinny taking the early advantage on her slightly taller opponent but as time wore on Dahlia gained the advantage and picked up the win on Jinny to face Toni Storm in a New Zealand vs Australia battle, but as we shall see later on Dahlia picked up an injury suffered at the hands of Pete Dunne in the main event. This writer likes both Storm and Black, but ive been a long time Toni Storm fan so would like to see her come out as champion at Ally Pally.
Next 2 matches were to decide the stipulations for the tag title match at Ally Pally between CCK and British Strong Style. 1st up was Kid Lykos vs Tyler Bate in a very good match more playing up to the junior heavyweight style of wrestling - a cry of “Small Lads Wrestling” was heard from the Progress which riled a visibly pissed off Tyler. I know Tyler is supposed to be apart of the main heel faction in Progress but i cant help but feel he looks very reluctant to be as dastardly as his bearded cohort Trent Seven and Pete Dunne, i smell Tyler going out on his own sometime here 😤.
Finish of the match came when Trent Seven came to interfere using the old distraction finish to put Lykos off his game enough for Tyler Bate to pick up the win. Stipulation time and after much humour about a possible Punjabi Prison Match and a trip for Jim, Jon and Glen to the nearest B & Q, it was settled on a normal tag match as BSS’s stipulation to piss off the Progress throng to a chorus of boos my mate Shauna would be proud of.
Chris Brookes vs Trent Seven then took place to decide the next stipulation in another good match but with Trent getting a taste of his own medicine with Lykos this time helping his mate Brookes to perform a Sick Fucking Tag Move to get the win and the choice of stipulation was you ask - A Ladder Match which should be a fantastic spectacle to see, but hopefully better ladders have been hired unlike the last time during SDS Vs The Riots.
Break done it was time for FSU vs The Grizzled Young Vets (sounds like a 6 part drama on ITV Sunday Night at 8pm, think Heartbeat but with a Scouser and a Wet Dog), that said Drake and Gibson are a welcome addition to the tag leagues and provide a great threat to the face teams out there (if CCK win at Ally Pally i can see a match up between the 2 teams) FSU are in a state of flux where they are not diminished if they lose as they are popular enough to overcome it, plus as well Eddie Dennis and Mark Andrews are accomplished singles wrestlers in their own right.
But with that said they couldnt put away the GYV’s who picked up the win with the elevated lung blower in a really good tag match and a great way to start the second half.
Next up was a clash of technical styles which was maybe my only downpoint as it featured seasoned British star Doug Williams vs my beating stick - Timothy Thatcher. Now i know i get plenty of stick for my non love of Thatcher from close wrestling friends of mine, but it is an opinion i will stick with - that is even though he is a good technical wrestler, he can suck the atmosphere out of an audience just like that - ive seen him 5 times now live and even though i have given him a chance u just dont think i will see the fascination with him.
The match was ok but i saw a far superior Doug Williams match the other week vs PCWs Philip Michael in Blackpool. Thatcher picked up the submission win over a valiant Doug and moves onto the 3 way at Ally Pally vs Matt Riddle and Walter which should be as hard hitting as they come as long as they turn it into a slugfest it will be magical.
Main event time with Haskins and Havoc vs Banks and Dunne but was mainly played up as a 2 on 1 with Dunne refusing to co-operate with Travis Banks and instead taking a spot on the announcing booth proceeding to boot Progress Flag Waver - Callum Leslie in the balls. Haskins and Havoc took advantage of the numbers game early on and worked well as a unit and not showing much dissent but it would soon end as a mix up between the two cost them dearly and Travis Banks hit the Slice of Heaven but before he could go for the pin Dunne ran to the ring and smashed Banks to leave Haskins prone for the 1-2-3.
Whilst Banks was down injured, BSS took advantage and beat down Banks and the incoming CCK, Dunne also proceeded to drag Dahlia Black onto the stage and hit her with a Sledgehammer to a chorus of boooooooooosssss to make the heel squad look strong going into Ally Pally in 2 weeks.
Beer prices - £4.90 for Camden Pale as ever it was passable.
Graps done it was time to hit the bright lights of Camden, but first it was Maccy D’s for a £1.99 big mac and fries whilst witnessing some 5 ft 5 roidhead planning to smack a nerd (your typical night in London i guess). But if this was a one on one match, imagine being done over like my mate Ben who faced Five Guys and got shafted for £19.90 all for a Burger, Fries and a Shake - Tory Britain strikes again 😮.
Pubs visited included Brewdog Camden for a £2.75 half pint of Orange Ale which was alright but i wouldnt pay for a full pint of it.
The Black Heart for a pint of £5.80 Fruity Cream Ale from Weird Beard, a discussion about what 6 matches i would stick on a promotion if i ran one in Rochdale Town Hall came out with a decent card in our dreams. As long as their is a hot buffet and a raffle im sure punters will be happy enough 😍.
The Worlds End produced shouty shouty RAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHH music and a £5.50 pint of Lowenbrau pffft. It was then off to more cheaper climbs of The Ice Wharf Wetherspoons which was packed to the rafters with people getting down to the sounds of despacito. A pint of IPA was had here and was very nice at a cost of around £4, i recommend the Peanut Butter Stout Can our Geoff had which was lovely and sweet for £2.99.
Last call was to The Prince Arthur pub for a £5 pint of cask ale (daylight robbery especially for Cask ale) - Decentish pub but very pricey for my Northern liking. A cheeky whisky and coke in the hotel bar for £4.10 was had to send me off to bed for a what was a great nights kip 😴😴😴😴😴😴.
Overall a good setup show for Ally Pally, nothing outstanding but nothing bad. Would i say it was worth the 4 hour trip and the cost of it - probably not but still good times were had. I am just hoping now at Ally Pally that Travis Banks and CCK win their respective matches as it is the natural finish to the storyline with them but we just have to wait and see.
Next review will be Lucha Forever from tomorrow night in Manchester, till then its a goodbye from me but make sure you spread the word of #grapsandclaps amongst the Twitter Universe. As i guess you all seem to enjoy these tales of British Wrestling Travelling.

GRAPS AND CLAPS CHAMPIONSHIP EDITION
Hello again everyone and welcome to the story of show 65 of the #100showyear which took me to The Longfield Suite for Futureshock Wrestlings 13th Anniversary Spectacular with a jam packed crowd taking their position for what on paper looked a great card.
But first of all as ever it was time to explore the pubs of Bury and Prestwich respectively. So after the disappointment of Lady Aurelia being touched off in The Nunthorpe at York and Frankie Dettori being a plonker by over celebrating thinking he had won but the realisation of a nose defeat by a horse it should have beat came to haunt Frankie.
Off to the Trackside who sell a mass of real ale for decent prices from £2.50 to £4 and you are always treated to a view of the East Lancs Railway whilst supping your ale. I opted for a £2.70 pint of porter from Kelham Island brewery which was very good on the taste scale.
Next pub was Wyldes for a cheap pint of Joseph Holts bitter and a conversation with the barman about the past weekends Summerslam. Needless to say this was a good day for Holt’s bitter as when you catch it on a bad day it can be lethal to your guts.
A quick pint (£2.55) in the new Spoons in Bury, be warned of the old Spoons which has many of the deadlegs of Bury scouring its stick carpet. The short journey via the Metrolink took me to Prestwich and a pint of coke in The Orange Tree which is your typical chain like pub but is very good as a meeting spot for the graps in Prestwich.
This was a free night at the wrestling for me as our Geoff won a facebook competition for a family ticket to the show, so cant really moan on that aspect, but i would have gladly paid the full price entrance fee as Futureshock do put on consistently good shows, so lets find out what went down on the 13th Anniversary!!
Sadly the start of the show with the usually RUN VT! hit technical issues with much buffering and interference to the video package opening the show, you could see Chris Brooker visibly cursing under his breath at this unfortunate thing.
First up was the Tag Team Title match with Wonderland (champs) facing the newly attired Sexy Gents - Sexy Kev and Jon. This went about 10 minutes with the Gents having quite a bit of offence here against their bad guy counterparts, but as with any match the tide can turn, with Wonderland using the help of Melody (The Former Mel Price) to get the upper hand till a returning Violet Vendetta evened up the sides to nulify the presence of Melody. A couple more minutes passed and with a prone Wonderland member flat on his back it was time for “Air Sexy” from Jon and Kev to land and the 1-2-3 and your new champs - THE SEXY GENTS!! Good match while it lasted and it will be good to see who the upcoming challengers will be, but can’t say i am looking forward to an upcoming Melody vs Violet Vendetta match up.
Womens title action next with a rematch between two rivals in Futureshock with Champion April Davids vs Former Champion Lana Austin. Very physical opening to the match with both women tearing lumps out of each other with King of the bad refs - Mike Fitzgerald unable to restore much order to the match. With this lack of order to proceedings both women fought to the stage before performing moves so hard that both missed the 10 count to get back in and caused a double countout much to the disgust of the Futureshock Faithful.
Futureshock Management then announced for September 17th in Manchester that it will be Davids vs Austin in a 2 out of 3 falls match in the Main Event to settle it once and for all - this should be brilliant 🖒
Next up was possibly my Match of the Night and i suppose a few other peoples as well between former friends and tag partners Rampage Brown and T-Bone. This went all around the Longfield Suite with a multitude of weapons inc. A Dinosaur, Golf Clubs, Crutches, Bins, Chairs and Cooking Sheets being used , just imagine two big burly lads smashing the shit out of each other - this was my graps and certainly in the top big lads wrestling matches of this year.
When order got restored, the crowd were still on their feet looking on at the destruction of humanity going on in the ring with T-Bone kicking out of a piledriver before Bone hit 2 Tombstones and a match winning headbutt for the win in a wild, dramatic and white hot atmosphere of a contest - so much that people thought it was time for a break after this. Watch this back on demand - you wont be sad.
Half time Main Event next with Adrenaline Champion Soner Durson facing challenger Facepants/Wet Dog James Drake in another fantastic match that thankfully Drakes mate - Zack Gibson didnt get involved as per a stipulation made before the match that if he did he would be stripped of his world title. Both guys here showed why they are two of the best on the North West scene with surprisingly a split crowd with people cheering current bad guy but on his way to be a good guy - James Drake.
Some of the highlights here included an inverted neckbreaker from Durson to Drake on the ring apron and also a top rope 450 splash from Drake to an ultra close 2 count. The contest came to an end when Drake went to the well once too often and got hit with the big splash from the top to send the Futureshock Faithful happy into the break. Dissension between Drake and Gibson was visible with Gibbo not being happy with Drake shaking Soners hand at the end of the match.
Back from the break it was the 4 on 4 Camp Egan vs Team Blake with the person taking the losing fall being banished from Futureshock forever. Quite a few quick eliminations here with Iestyn Rees, Meat and Veg and The Nordic Accountant being dispatched early to leave Jenson Blake and Danny Hope to fight off Chicken Damon Leigh and Chris Egan. As expected this came down to the 2 enemies Egan and Blake fighting for survival with the purple haired prince - Jenson Blake picking up the win to send Egan packing.
A sad day for Futureshock i feel as Chris Egan is great entertainment in his managerial capacity and offers more to the table than Jenson Blake who sadly i don’t rate in my opinion and i would guess most of the crowd in attendance wanted Egan to fell Blake to keep his job. My mate Shauna wasn’t too happy at this result as Egan is one of her favourites so their wasn’t much booing going on for the next match.
Next up was the 10 man invitational battle royal gauntlet for the no.1 contendership to Soner Dursons title with the match being based around Xander Cooper’s quest to reign again and for his sidekick Bobby maybe just maybe screwing him out of it. But sadly it was the former that went down as Xander outlasted the competition including chucking Bobby out and finally getting the CHEEKY ROLL UP win on Joey Hayes to win this in around 15 minutes. Opinion on this match, it was fun but not the best use of Flash Morgan Webster, Bubblegum or Chris Ridgeway and even though he won the voting to be an entramt people would like to see in the match - No BIG T 😢😢.
But before the Main Event it was time for the raffle and with 5 strips of tickets in my hands it was time to see whether it would be a signed poster, meet and greet or a replica NXT Championship. As the first 2 prizes were drawn it looked doubtful that i would get anything and be left with nothing NADA BUT WHATS THIS I HEAR BROOKER CALLING - NUMBER 336!!!! I only went and won the replica belt to a chorus of boooossss and raffle tickets being pelted at my giant bus head. I am now a Belt Wanker 😍😍🤗🤗🤗
Ashton Smith vs Zack Gibson was next for the Futureshock Title in a very good match but i found the crowd were a bit quieter than usual due to the late running (10pm) now but maybe it was just the red hotness of some of the stuff before it. Much shenanigans were involved as Fitzy was reffing so he went down like a sack of spuds as ever, so while he was down James Drake came down and what looked like he was helping Gibson after hitting Ashton, he turned babyface on Gibson to a great ovation and with a groggy Ashton up again he hit Gibson with the GTS for the win and your new champion - Ashton Smith.
Beer prices - £3.20 for MPA
Overall a good show with the 1st half edging it over the 2nd half with Soner/Drake and Rampage/T-Bone stealing the show. Only gripes were Jenson Blake winning and the usual Fitzgerald shenanigans in the main event but still a great evening and i recommend getting a ticket for 17th September at 53two in Manchester for Davids vs Austin 4 and Pete Dunne vs Soner Durson #grapsandclaps

EVERY WOMAN EVERY MAN JOIN THE DONOVAN OF LOVE WITH ADDED TUBA'S
Hello everyone for the final part of the 5 show weekend from last week with show 46 of the #80showyear taking me to Camden for Progress Chapter 50. After another late night, getting back at Midnight, it was time to drag my carcass out of my pit and get to Manchester for the 1115am train to London and in a surprise turn of events - my mate Shauna was early for a change 😮! To which my other travel buddy - Matthew was very pleased! Thankfully the train was less eventful and time passes very quickly talking about a multitude of topics from Wrestling to Talk Sport to Love Island. Arriving in Camden at 130pm, we had enough time to a drink or two in The Black Heart which has become a regular haunt for me in Camden, i had a pint of Angry Orchard for £4.50 and half of Jambe de bois for £3.50. Also had a good chat with two guys who are planning to go to Mania 34 in New Orleans, they asked me of all things as i have been there "describe in 3 words what New Orleans is like"? Straight away i said - SMELLS OF PISS!! 😅. Drinks done it was time to get to the ballroom and get our spot around Corrigans Coffee Table, as Ogden Corner had been retired for 1 show due to me not getting a seated ticket. Good to chat to the We Love The Graps Man from Philly who by the end of the night must have learnt some bad northern lingo. Onto the wrestling - Toni Storm vs Kay Lee Ray was a fantastic opener and i would go on record to say up there with their December scrap. Now with Nixon off to pastures new, definetely the 2 best in the UK at present and both currently on WWE radar. Crowd was behind Toni here despite KLR have a much better theme, went about 15 minutes and ended with Storm hitting the top rope piledriver. Great stuff 😍 Banter Squad vs London Riots - Fun comedy match with Ligero continuosly wanting to lift mastiff on his shoulders but big dave wasnt having any of it. Riots worked more cohesively here as a team, making no hints of breaking up just yet and with that cohesiveness they picked up the win with the slingshot spear. I would like to point out the Banter Squad had no music due to "turn the page" being blacklisted by the music gods, so Mastiff asked the crowd to sing along to it acapella style, but to no avail as none of the 700 could sing in time. Bring out the TUBA song!! My head thought! This tune was thought up through a convo in Black Dog Ballroom between me and Ben Corrigan on the subject of themes and the point of - Can you imagine Dave Mastiff coming down to the ring with a TUBA? So imagine around 30 people doing the sound of a TUBA at the top of their lungs it sound fucking great and i was in fits of laughter. I could have quit wrestling there and then, even ligero and mastiff enjoyed it. Jack Sexsmith vs Flash Morgan Webster was ok for what it was, i was definetely behind Flash in this as he is not being as forced onto you by Progress. Yes Sexsmith has improved but he is never main eventing. Match ended when NO FUNNNAAHH! Damien Dunne attacked Sexsmith and took his Condom away as evidence. Pete Dunne vs Donovan Dijak was a fantastic half time main event, just plenty of action here including the 6 ft 7 Dijak doing amazing moves for a big man. Put it this way, first real time i have seen Donovan Dijak and i am sold - Future Champion of WWE but sadly Dunne picked up the win with the bitter end - this is must see back on demand. One minor note in this match, Mr Ben Corrigan got in my ear and said about a song which fitted Donovans name in it - CARAVAN OF LOVE by The HouseMartins from 1986. EVERY WOMAN EVERY MAN JOIN THE DONOVAN OF LOVE STAND UP! STAND UP STAND UP Repeat HE'S A WRESTLER AH! HE'S A WRESTLER DONT YOU KNOW! Repeat Now for 50 near the bar this was the tune of the weekend and a few others in the crowd as well and i will give it to Jim Smallman he knew it (as pointed out after the break) but to the other 640 it was seen as too niche. Maybe it needed more fucks and RARARARA in it, but still this week i am still singing this tune. So i cant say i saw much of The Origin vs Havoc and Haskins as i went sulking in the toilets and just took a backseat supping my coca cola at the back of the room. To all accounts i didnt miss much here. Travis Banks vs James Drake thankfully changed my mood for the better as they are two of the best in the UK. Banks as you will know is my favourite and Drake has been brilliant in his role as ArseFace, Facepants and Wet Dog and general cracking baddie in the North West (The South dont get him). Banks won a good match in 10 minutes with the crossface. Main Event was CCK vs BSS for the tag straps in another amazing you had to be there moments. Wild and Crazy brawl between the four for the first 9 minutes with chair dives, chair shots and water being spat. Crowd was Molten here just as they were for Banks big win last month. Lykos hit the brainbuster on Tyler for the win to win the belts for CCK and a big hug-a-thon ensued. Just a great moment and everyone left in a great mood. Overall a 3 match show you should look back on for Dunne/Dijak, Toni/KLR and CCK/BSS. Great stuff.
