So I've been rewatching some parts of Book 7 and Sleeping Beauty.

And remember those iconic "Pink-Blue" dress moments?

I think we all agree that Silver is kind of a symbol of peace between the two races (along with Sebek). But these moments specifically make me melancholic, if you think that Pink represents Lilia and Blue represents humans, the Silver Owls, and his royal heritage (blue motifs, etc.).

AU where Sebek is going deaf

Something I noticed a while ago but never mentioned

In the Platinum Birthday line, Sebek is Deuce's duo partner. They have a conversation in the vignette, and this part (tl from @/mysteryshoptls)

and one of Sebek's voice lines

made me think of something…

What if Sebek doesn't realize how loud he is because he's actually going deaf?

Everyone always comments on how loud he is, but he insists he's using a normal voice. What if that's not just stubbornness - what if it's because he genuinely can't hear himself properly?

What if he Sebek is slowly losing his hearing, and no one realizes because "being loud" is just normal for him. Maybe it's some quirk of his mixed heritage - his body is changing in a way that makes him lose the ability to hear human sounds :( Maybe he can only hear the fae language now (something human ears can't hear).

The irony of it. He's always wanted to be more fae than human… and now he can only hear in the language of the fae. He's becoming what he always dreamed of - but at a cost no one expected.

Buuut …It felt a bit too sad to leave it there, though, so here's the soft part :) His artist human is there for him forever. She draws the sounds around - music, voices, etc., helping Sebek "see" the sounds. Sebek is often doubtful about the idea, thinks it's unnecessary, but he never protests💚💚💚💚
