Project 01 - Flag Book (vision is temporary)

At first I made a paper version of the flagbook to get a feel of how it worked. The process was surprisingly quick and easy and I managed to make it in about 30 minutes

I drew symbols on each side of the ‘flags’ in this specific draft just to see how it would look when I played around with the structure, and it looked pretty cool. I didn’t do the accordion fold as nicely as I’d like, so for the next one I focused on fixing that

For draft 2 I went straight to using some transparent (ish) materials. I originally wanted to use acetate as the accordion fold backing but it was too… floppy (?) and thick asf so I couldn’t make the folds as nicely as paper

I instead folded tracing paper and used the acetate as the flags on the outer sections. I was really satisfied with the accordion fold but though I tried to cut the flags with equal dimensions they turned out really badly

Also, the heaviness of the acetate made my tracing paper kinda droop down so for my next one I’ll move the positions around to account for it
