I just have some doodles today, lol. They’re from an AU my mind is semi-consumed by where Ven isn’t a regene/Sidestep, but instead grew up as a child actor (like Shirley Temple vibes, keeping up the country’s morale instead of letting them dwell on those ‘resettlement’ camps and martial law~~) and Ortega and nem get to be an obnoxious tabloid couple when Ven fucks off to LD …in theory, no one really knows what’s happening here but it sells paper soooo.

I just deeply enjoy drawing them (mostly nem here) being little shits, I can’t lie. ^^;; Y’all may see more of this silly thing, lol.

Summary: Five years after the downfall of the Mikaelson family, Caroline returns to New Orleans to fulfill the promise she made to Marcel: one day, she would be back for the man he has been keeping prisoner in the bowels of the old compound, and she would not be leaving without him. But the plans to abandon the city's eternal loop of tragedy behind once and for all are thwarted when a new enemy with unexpected old ties resurfaces, threatening not just Eve's life, but Caroline's as well.

-- S04E02 No Quarter ✨ A bone-chilling scream rips through the woods. The sheer despair of the sound can be felt over miles, reverberating across the trees, scaring birds into taking hurried flight to escape.

Not for the first time that morning, Caroline winces, fingers digging into her arms as she grinds her teeth together. She looks up at the bright blue sliver of sky above, not a single cloud in sight. What a beautiful day for an outdoor slaughter.

“Good Lord, that one has some lungs on him,” Rebekah remarks flippantly. “He should've been an opera singer.”

"Seriously?!" Caroline snaps, marching back to where the rest of the family is. She volunteered to keep watch by the road, both to make sure no one else would accidentally end up as part of the main course and to maintain a safe distance from temptation. As reproachful as she is about the concept of mass murder, she's still a vampire. "Is that really necessary?"

Elijah and Rebekah look up at her with casual disinterest, each of them with a lifeless body strewn across their laps, not a single drop of blood left between the two.

"That depends," Rebekah says. "Do you want us on our full strength or do you plan on rescuing Nik on your own?"

Caroline huffs out an indignant breath. It's not that she didn't anticipate how ravenous three Original vampires would be after spending five years under a sleeping spell; she did bring a hefty stash of blood bags with her, of various types. But they promptly turned it all down in favor of something fresher. And by that, they meant a bloodbath.
