so it’s still way off but I’m planning a little b’day trip to London so if anyone has any tips for nice areas and food and stuffs please let me know. Like can food be good without it being disgustingly expensive?? main reason I’m going is to see the Pre-Raphaelites (aaaaah 😱) so with things to do/see I’m good but it’s the food and ~quiet~ places to stroll that I’m completely at a loss for

Tywin being cartoonishly super mega evil is something that I find really funny because his tragic backstory is basically that his father was too chill 😭 like from what we know he had a good (?) relationship with his wife, 2/4 of his siblings loved him, and for decades he was the most important man in Westeros. His issues towards his papa made me go yes, and🤨? at first but I kinda get it now. Tywin has some parts of his father the way his useless blond children have parts of him. Tytos and Tywin are mother-daughter coded in a I’m all you could’ve been and your all I might be kinda way and I’ve always believed that it’s impossible to hate a parent for their way of being without hating yourself a little too so by that made up logic Tywin probably hates himself to a level that is not comprehensible to most humans minds

Linton : Penman Enterprises : London : [1953] by mikeyashworth Via Flickr: An interesting booklet aimed at the civil aviation enthusiast in days when a trip to an official viewing area at one of Britain's civil airports was quite the day out. Several here are noted as having "broadcast commentaries and recorded music" to help set the scene. The booklet lists all Britain's civil Customs airports, those operated by the Ministry of Civil Aviation or by operators on their 'behalf' and many of which still had Ministry of Defence links, along with non-Customs licensed aerodromes. As well as this there are descriptions of the various airlines, the 'planes they operate and an aircraft log book along with information as to ground activities such as control and approach radar. The cover is by artist Lawrence Fish (1919 - 2009) a noted commercial and advertising illustrator and puts Silver City Airways firmly in the picture. Silver City, formed in 1948, were noted for their "air car ferry" services operated primarily from Lympne to France and from Southampton to Cherbourg. The fleet of Bristol 170 Mk.21 Freighters and Mk.32 'Superfreighter' seen loading here carred three cars and twenty passengers. The freighters also carried, as can be seen, bicycles. The helicopter seen above is how Silver City saw the future; the company put considerable effort into considering the adoption of a freight helicopter and detachable "pannier" system for moving freight at a time when Fairey Aviation were developing the Rotodyne and Blackburn Aircraft were developing the SP60. The project never came to fruition.

As a reward for being at the grocery store I popped into the pet store real quick to look at the fish (and fish tank prices). Might get some guppies and a smaller tank to tide myself over for the goldfish one day, but I want to do research first.
