This podcast is about video marketing. The biggest myth out there is that it’s all about marketing and you want to get your video going. The problem with this is that you either spend nothing and try and do it yourself and embarrass yourself and company and you waste months of hope and effort or you put off starting it and you lose months which could have been months of funding that was in your pocket or you spent $30,000 and get it done right but it’s wasted because you didn’t have all of your ducks in a row and you don’t get funded.   The real cost of not getting funded for any reason is how many months or years you’re losing.  Depending on the value of your company and dollar amount of funding you’re going for, it could be costing you $500,000 or $1M or 100M the longer you wait, the more funds you spend in wasted areas, and the longer you don’t actually fix the problem. From someone who has been there and helped many companies with marketing and video production, the real problem that the people who don’t get funded never fix is their public speaking. Are you better than your competition?? . If you are, and you’re not winning, then listen up! . . It isn’t about how good you are or how talented you are or how right you are. It’s about who’s speaking with confidence and authority. That’s it. If you notice that you’re better than other businesses or you’re more qualified than other applicants or you’re right about whatever, that doesn’t matter! You know that’s the truth because you see it every day. Instead of complaining about it, TAKE ACTION and do something about it. . . Now before you put yourself out there I’m assuming and it’s a given that you’re good at what you do. That’s your ethical responsibility. All of the other pretenders out there who think they’re winning are actually losing and are dying on the inside and will eventually lose when their straw castle blows away. But for you... Make certain you’re great at what you do and then, power up and go get what you’re after. At that point, it becomes your ethical responsibility to provide your skill to the market place. . .
