for now they are close here too!! I mean I can wait but you absolutely have to get your first one as soon as possible :') the choice of the studio is super important!! you have to make sure the tattoo artist has a style similar to the one you like and that they make you feel comfortable!! so think carefully <33
ooh sweetie it's totally fine to be scared!! but I don't think that I have a high pain tolerance either and I really felt nothing sjkghl (of course it's different for everyone!) and AAAH i wanted to ask you what are you gonna get!!(so please feel free to share all the tattoos you have in mind🤧) I'm so happy you're just as curious about tattoos as me lol okay so I have just 3 tattoos and they are all pretty small! the letter J (the initial of my brother), the word 'hesperus' from a poem I really like and the latin quote 'hic et nunc' (my favourite one so far but that's another story for another time fellas)
i don't actually know if they're closed here. I'm planning to message to one studio tomorrow to ask if they are open haha i don't really know... how to choose because I'm looking at everything online sjxnjs and the style... well. i have my own design and it's very very simple so i think any tattoo artist can do that? they have a couple people working in the studio, i looked thru the profiles on their site and based solely on that i liked this one lady. i also saw one of the tattoos she's done is like... just lines and not some intricate picture so yeaaa i prolly wanna go with her!
oooh those sound really nice! mine are a biT biGgEr ahhaha.
ahhhh I've loved tattoos for so long man, i can't wait to get my first one uwuwu
hmm well this first one is gonna be on my forearm, now i don't remember if that's where the pain is worst or okay sjdnjs I've looked at some many pain maps but i still don't remember smh
I'll put the tattoos under the line so people don't have to scroll so much to skip this djxndn
aight so
firstly. the one i wanna get first! also the first tattoo i came up with hehe i have pictures for like... 5/6 of them. i drew all of them on myself so they look scuffed but they'll give you the general idea yaknow
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i drew this on myself like 2/3 years back. i included the second picture just cause i think it looks cool but yea the first one is the version I want. for now hehe i actually have plans for modifications i could get for this one :))
i also have recent pictures from like idk 5 days back but they include two more tattoos as well so I'll keep em for later
secondly. my finger tattoo! probably the second or third one I want to get. i say or third because I might get a matching tattoo with my best friend first. anyway here starts the theme of stars that carries over a couple of the tattoos sjdjjs
Tumblr media
tiny and simple. but i love it! i love the stars and the moon which is why I want to have this one uwu also i love finger tattoos and this is the best I came up with jsnxn
this brings us to another one which i actually want to get at the same time as the finger one because it's gonna be on like... the thumb? it's a symbol! here I'll give a picture if the symbol only and later on I'll give pictures with it on the thumb. cause those are the ones that include the first one as well haha
Tumblr media
these are on the left hand btw
moving on to the next one. this one is a text tattoo! a lyric tattoo if you call it that. from my favorite song uwu it will be on the right handy thumb to wrist area. i tried writing it on myself but I'm right-handed so you can see how that would go awfully sjdnns
Tumblr media
so yea excuse the awful writing please sjnxns if you can't decipher it, it says Step out of them Voices. placed somewhere around that area, it was hard to really choose properly since I was writing with my left hand sjdnns
next up. a small one behind my ear. a lil star! yes. i love stars a lot sjxns was thinking i could get this one sometime without anyone knowing and waiting till someone notices it sjxnd i told have a picture for this one cause... yea it's behind the ear. or like you know somewhere behind there cause i just think those are cool
last but not least. the chest one! it's not like a big complex piece tho. just a sun and some stars. because. once again, i love stars sndnd and just the sky in general you know. I'm in love with the sky uwuwu which is why I have so many pictures of it on my phone from when I go on walks ahahhah
Tumblr media
and here we have it. please excuse my awful skin jsndjd i don't expect to get all these tattoos anytime soon because of the price so I'm hoping my skin gets sorted till then you know xjdj
also apologies for how scuffed it looks jsnxnd ngl drawing on your chest is vErY hard. i drew the sun off of a reference i found but i was honestly rushing thru it cause it was... just difficult and i knew i wouldn't get it right anyway sjdnd
the placement isn't gonna be 100% like that cause once again, i drew it on myself sjxnd i want the sun on my sternum, I'd love to explain the exact place but uhh... i can't sjdjd and yea i want the eight stars around it. most likely more spaced out because I feel like this is... too close together, it would look better further away from each other. and the place for them would be like under my collarbones?? cause collarbones hurt a lot right?? ehh well I'll just have to handle it somehow. but yea! that's my six planned tattoos ahahha
now for the whole left arm. aka the three tattoos in one pictures
Tumblr media
sorry about the even more scuffed sketch of the first tattoo jsbdns i did that during class cause I was bored and wasn't exactly trying to be precise ahhaha
but yea that's how my left arm should look after I get all of these uwu
andddd here are my plans for adding onto the first tattoo
Tumblr media
in this picture the three lines just go all around BUT my plan isss... i want the lines to come together and intertwine on the other side of my forearm, i want them to come to one point where they're like knotted up andddd i want a flower to like rise from that point, i want it to go down to my hand, with it's end on my wrist probably, don't want to it to go all the way on the hand.
i have no idea if that was understandable enough. i suck at explaining sjdjsn but i think it would be pretty??? and i think it goes with the theme i gave it in my head pretty well
so... yea
those are my tattoo plans ahhaha i love talking about tattoos sjdjjs
sorry about the long ass post

An Explanation on One of the Biggest Criticisms of Avengers: Endgame
Warning: Spoilers ahead for Avengers: Endgame. Do not click ahead if you have yet to see the movie.
Alright, so I originally made a blog post as to why I thought it may be possible Loki could be alive by the end of the events of Endgame (unrelated to my original theory). However, admittedly, I think I was wrong in my approach, and am even still a bit confused about the whole thing.
However, after talking to a couple of friends, I think I finally got it figured out. And as I mentioned, I think I was wrong the first time. That being said, the wiki is also misleading atm too.
This is going to cover the confusing timelines created, and how/why the actions of the Avengers going back in time do not affect their future or create paradoxes, but rather creates alternate timelines.
I spoke to a couple of my friends who have also seen Endgame a few times, and they reminded me of a particular scene in the movie. Rhodey asks Banner why they can’t go back to a point in time where Thanos was a baby and choke him out there (lol). Banner then explains (I wish I had the direct quote but since it obviously came out a few days ago, I can’t get it yet) how changing the past won’t change their future. Going back and altering an event won’t affect the present day conditions they currently live in. It was hard to understand, especially if you’ve only seen the scene once, but the way it can be explained is like this:
Let’s say Rhodey decides to go back in time to kill off Thanos when he was a baby, and let’s just assume for argument's sake that he succeeds. When he returns to the present day however, everything is still the same; half of humanity is still non-existent, and the infinity stones are still destroyed.
So what did he change? Well, he created an alternate timeline where Thanos dies as a baby. A timeline where none of his actions occur, however, the Rhodey that time travelled to kill him doesn’t know that, because his timeline is one in which he did exist.
So unlike Scott’s excellent assumptions in Endgame, time travel does not follow the rules of Back To The Future.
This explains a lot that goes on in the movie. Like firstly, how could Nebula kill her past self, without it causing her to fade into non-existence? At first, I thought it might be because she was more machine than person, but that didn’t really make sense either. But it’s actually because in her present-day timeline, she did exist. By killing her past self, she just created an alternate timeline where she died in 2014 (well, not in 2014, technically she died in 2023, but she no longer existed after 2014), and none of her actions following that (ie. everything she did in GOTG 2) occurred.
Secondly, it explains why the Ancient One wouldn’t let Banner take the time stone to his present day (prior to knowing about his plan to return it to the exact time he took it). Her argument is that though it may benefit his reality, it would significantly alter and negatively impact hers. To reiterate though, it wouldn’t affect Banner’s, because the Ancient One would be in an alternate timeline to his, where she no longer had the stone. His timeline would be fine, as he’d be living in a timeline where the stone wasn’t taken from the Ancient One in 2012, but hers would not.
Thirdly, it explains why Loki taking the Tesseract in 2012 would not affect what we see in Endgame.
(Yes, that still happened, despite the fact that Tony and Steve went back even further to 1970. Though they ended up taking the Tesseract at a different point in time, they immediately put it back, therefore it had no effect on the timeline. They did, very obviously, alter and affect the timeline in 2012, when their plan backfired and Loki took the Tesseract, which I’ll explain.)
After seeing the scene of Loki taking the Tesseract, my first thought was, “How would that affect characters and events in the present day?”. But as we see in the present day in Endgame, and even when we see Thor and Rocket go back in time to 2013, it didn’t. How? Because their timeline is one in which Loki never got the Tesseract. In their’s, Loki was successfully captured and brought back to Asgard. They did, however, create an alternate in which he did get it, and the Avengers fail in 2012.
And finally, it explains why them killing the Thanos of 2014 didn’t suddenly bring back characters he killed outside of the Decimation (ie. Loki, Heimdall, Gamora, Vision). Because in their timeline, he did exist and he did do those things. In their timeline, Thanos still found the stones in 2018, used them to snap and decimate half of humanity, and retired to his farm where he was killed by Thor just weeks later.
This is also where I was wrong before; I had made the argument that Natasha was the one to sacrifice herself in this timeline, so why should Gamora still be dead? And the answer is, she didn’t. Not in the timeline that the characters live in Endgame. In their’s, Gamora was still the sacrifice, because that’s how Thanos got the soul stone to carry out his plan that resulted in them going back in time in the first place. However, when Natasha and Barton went to Vormir, they created an alternate timeline where Thanos never got the soul stone in 2018 like we see in Infinity War; instead, they got the stone in 2014. And this is the alternate timeline where Thanos finds out about the Avengers going back in time, and him deciding to jump ahead to 2023 to fight them. This is the alternate timeline where he dies. The reason Natasha is still dead is because her death prevented her from returning to her present-day timeline.
I think the part that tripped people up (cause I know it tripped me up) is that we assume that the fight against Thanos at the end is going to affect their timeline, when it isn’t. He cannot affect their timeline, because he is not from it - in their’s, he's already dead. The fact that it didn’t immediately erase everything he had done between 2014-2023 in their timeline is the exact reason why Banner explains that they can’t just go back to when he was a baby and kill him then.
We forget that the Avengers weren’t going to fight Thanos again, because the Thanos of their timeline was already dead. All they were going to do was go back in time, take the stones, bring them to their reality to snap everyone back into existence, and return them to their exact place in the timelines they came from. There wasn’t supposed to be another fight. They weren’t trying to change the past; quite the opposite, in fact. They were just trying to find any means possible to access the infinity stones to bring everyone back.
Thanos is just an inconvenience to them, because he only happens to find out through Nebula’s memory file merging (since there were two of them in the same timeline, which apparently glitched her system). If Nebula had stayed back and hadn’t gone back in time with the rest of the Avengers, he would’ve never known. Tony would never have had to snap.
(And I do NOT blame Nebula for that, by the way. Thanos is the one who made her who she is, and he’s the reason her memories merged. It’s all on him.)
So, this brings us back to the original question: Is Loki (as well as all the other victims of Thanos) alive?
The answer is no. At least, not in the timeline we see as present day in Endgame. However in the alternate timeline of Thanos dying in 2014 (the same one in which Natasha is the sacrifice for the soul stone), yes, he is alive. Same with Gamora, Vision, and everyone else he killed. Loki could even possibly be alive in the alternate timeline of him getting the Tesseract in 2012, though it’s unclear as of right now.
This is also assuming he did die for real when he was choked out by Thanos, and assuming that Banner didn’t snap him back to existence (which I don’t think he did, because we likely would’ve seen him in the final battle, and it’s likely Banner only brought those back who had been decimated).
So apologies for misleading on my first post, and apologies if this is a bit confusing, lol. But I still believe that the alternate timelines of Loki getting the Tesseract, and/or Loki living as a result of Thanos dying in 2014 will make for an excellent TV series.

this is no secret
yasir and i have problems (tell me one married couple that doesn't tho, honestly).
i feel like our problems are really foundational. firstly as per my experience with my husband who i would consider FAIRLY opposite to me, can i just debunk this bullshit statement that everyone loves to quote about opposites attracting?
actually. literally right now that i've written it, i've realized i haven't debunked anything! i am (or was) attracted to yasir! so this is not evidence of anything. but the thing that i will say is...marriage is probably way more tough with an "opposite" than with a "like" partner.
the things i value (aside from the big religion/family/friends etc) are not the things that yasir values. we are opposite in a LOT of ways. and it drives me up the wall.
but the thing that drives me MOST insane is that every so often we have a big ass blow out and i do my holier than thou lecture (ya, so what, i will admit here that i do feel superior to my husband because i am an overall BETTER adult. there. i said it. you can go ahead and disagree, but if you try and convince me of it i just won't believe you unless you bring me some profound concrete evidence).
and i tell him how he needs to take more responsibility and grow up and do his work but also his house work and his parenting work with integrity. and it's the 2 extra minutes that you put into anything you do that will make it from just completing the task to actually having done it properly. and also to take responsibility and figure out the shit that needs to be done at home. and blah blah blah. someday i think i'll transcribe my lectures cause they could honestly be pretty decent TED talks 8-) or at least motivational or get-up-off-you-ass discipline statements.
ANYWAY. the point of this WHOLE POST is that after we have these blowouts i almost ALWAYS hear yasir relay these EXACT same messages to the people that he works with. AND YET. he almost NEVER internalizes it!
so he literally passes it through one ear and out the other as he hears himself repeat my lecture to his subordinates in his job.
WHAT. THE. FUCK. NOW I'M LECTURING YOUR WORK PEOPLE TOO?
i can't deal.
marriage is a bullshit contract, don't fall for it folks.

Sweeney Todd appreciation post
In the latter parts of my last semester, I signed up for my high school’s annual summer production. I’ve done a good bit of theatre in the past few years of my life, and it’s become a pretty important part of who I am. I’m by no means a good actor or a good singer (although I’d say I’m probably better at singing), but I manage to get pretty good roles most of the time. I’ve gotten attached to some of the roles I’ve had over the past couple years, particularly to George Banks of Mary Poppins. Other times, I’ve gotten attached to shows in general, such as The Secret Garden. From the moment I finished that show, I repeatedly claimed it as my favorite musical. It still is very dear to me, and I think that the music is almost as beautiful now as the first time I heard it. I’ll probably write at some point about why “Lily’s Eyes” and “A Bit of Earth” are some of my favorite songs not only in musicals, but of all time.
To my surprise, this summer, The Secret Garden finally got beaten. I had originally signed up to be a part of Titanic: The Musical. However, after auditions happened, the folks in charge found out that we were short on males. They ended up deciding to change the show to Sweeney Todd, and thank god they did.
I believe the biggest reason I like The Secret Garden so much can be summed up in one word: melodrama. The powerful brass, the rises and falls in the music, the dreary plot that is almost too real. What kind of person can’t sympathize with a poor orphaned girl and her lonely father figure? Archibald is a truly tragic character: trapped in a mansion with no one but his bitter brother and overbearing servants to grace him from the haunting memories of his dead wife, the one person who ever accepted him regardless of his physical flaws.
What I find amazing about Sweeney Todd in contrast to The Secret Garden is the way it breaks my heart and fills my soul with beautiful music while still incorporating plenty of humor. There are plenty of musicals that do this, for sure, but I wouldn’t say that Mary Poppins is on the same level simply due to it’s overall silliness. It has deep messages and good music, sure, but it isn’t harsh enough. It doesn’t hit you with that sense of relatability. I’ve never had a magical nanny show up at my window and save my family from its deepest conflicts, but I certainly have heard of orphaned children, wrongfully incriminated people, and poverty. All of these are present in Sweeney, but Steven Sondheim managed to create these somber situations all while incorporating Pirelli as comedic relief that actually makes a little bit of sense.
All in all, I just can’t help but feel that Sweeney Todd is extremely effective at everything it does. It still has the most important piece (to me), though: the copious amounts of drama. Not only do we have an almost Shakespearean tragedy as our plot, but the music itself is powerful throughout. I’m going to write a paragraph about a couple of my favorite songs from the show. My favorites are probably also the most popular, but whatever.
Firstly, let’s talk about “My Friends”. It’s definitely one of the most popular songs in the show, especially given that it leads into the famous “Lift your razor” segment. The song begins when Mrs. Lovett remembers that she hid Benjamin Barker’s razors, rather than selling them when he was deported. Although she humorously tries to justify this by saying that she simply didn’t sell them in case Barker showed up again one day, it’s an obvious clue-in to the fact that Mrs. Lovett is obsessed with Sweeney Todd. I’m not sure whether to call it love per se, but if the audience doesn’t realize that Mrs. Lovett has feelings for Sweeney after this introduction, the song itself will soon make it clear. Sweeney sees the razors, a symbol of his past life, of his happiness, and almost romances them as the music begins to play. He calls the razors his “friends” and caresses them as he sings. Soon, Mrs. Lovett joins in, but she isn’t quite on the same page as him. Throughout the song, Sweeney dominates with his powerful, reminiscent, yet dark and brooding tone, while Mrs. Lovett stands to the side and interjects her feelings of friendship, hopefulness, and beauty. It’s a very stark contrast, especially once the audience figures out that Sweeney is only pondering how his razors will help him to murder the Judge and the Beadle. My personal favorite quotes from this song are “You’ve been locked out of sight all these years. Like me, my friend. Well, I’ve come home.” and, of course, “You shall drip rubies”. The cryptic sound of Sweeney’s voice is truly disturbing. But, it’s cool disturbing, you know? As a side note, there’s a really neat video on Youtube somewhere of Steven Sondheim directing two theatre students (Sweeney and Mrs. Lovett) at performing this song. It’s definitely worth a watch.
“Green Finch and Linnet Bird” is another really cool one. I don’t have nearly as much to say about this one. My main thought is that the comparison between Johanna and the caged birds is very cool. I especially like how Johanna’s vocal style even mimics bird songs.
“Kiss Me (Part 2)” also piques my interest. No one ever expects the Beadle to come out with a grand falsetto at the end, but it’s somehow not overly comical. The quartet is great, and shows a strong contrast between young and old. The funniest part about this quartet is how the Beadle is unknowingly leading the Judge to his death, and he’s so enthusiastic about it. Good stuff.
“Pretty Women” is the song that comes directly after, and, although I may be biased in liking it so much (I was the Judge), I might argue for it as my favorite song in the show. The song begins with a funny little impersonation of the Beadle’s apologetic advice from the previous song. Turpin sings in a commanding tone, giving him the upper hand. Sweeney is still in shock, surprised that the Judge who he wants to kill more than anything, randomly appeared at his shop. After the Judge’s instructions, Sweeney gets himself together and wittily affirms that the shave will be the closest he ever gave. Turpin, still with the advantage in the mental tug-of-war that the two will have throughout the song, begins to contently “bub dum” a tune. Todd, entering the battle, thinks “I can play your game, Judge”, and whistles alongside him. Todd has gained the upper hand, showing that he can keep up with Turpin. After some back and forth “banter” singing between the two, Todd asks “What more can man require than love sir?” But, it is a rhetorical question. Still with the upper hand, he answers himself and reveals the answer to be “women. pretty women”. The Judge, in agreement and still in the dark about Sweeney’s true identity as the father of the young girl he’s creepily forcing into marriage, continues his song. He gains ground here, but not long after the power is transitioned to Sweeney once more as we hear a short reprise of “My Friends”. However, the Judge interrupts him at the height of his song, telling Sweeney to stop goofing around and start working. Sweeney loses power as he replies “my lord”, and then he finds out that the Judge is planning on marrying his daughter. As if he didn’t already have enough motivation to murder Turpin! Todd, potentially out of spite, almost reveals himself when he asks if Johanna is as “pretty as her mother”. After this, which is really only the introduction to the song, Sweeney once again gains power as he begins shaving the Judge. The audience is supposed to believe that he will slit the Judge’s throat right then and there, but Todd instead decides to toy with Turpin and enjoy his moment of revenge. The remainder of the song is a straightforward yet beautiful duet, wherein Todd and the Judge sing passionately about pretty women. In this case, Todd is probably thinking of his wife, Lucy, while Turpin is singing about Johanna, Todd’s daughter. The music is truly beautiful, and we believe that Todd has gained complete control. Not only is he the only one who fully understands the song, but his razor is at the Judge’s throat, waiting for the perfect moment to exact his revenge. The song reaches it’s height, Sweeney’s razor is raised, and the tension is unimaginable. And then Anthony comes into the shop, giddily singing about his upcoming marriage to Johanna. Sweeney’s moment is ruined, and the Judge furiously storms out.
And those songs, ladies and gentlemen, are only the best from Act 1. Act 2 has plenty of powerful moments, such as the hugely disturbing “God, That’s Good”, the eerie “City on Fire”, the humorous “By the Sea”, and, of course, the heart-wrenching “Not While I’m Around”.
If I was given the chance to be a part of Sweeney Todd again, I’d like to give Judge Turpin a second try, or perhaps take on the role of the Beadle. I personally couldn’t do Sweeney justice, but I do hope to one day revisit this show. For now, I will continue to praise it as my favorite musical.
