The fact that Lock, who doesn't know jack about the soul swap thing, thinks of Cale, who is physically only like 5 years older than him, as his father is hilarious on so many levels. Like, not even a hyung, straight up father. Granted, Cale does kind of sort of think of his as a son, but that's because he's an old man on the inside. Lock really looked at this guy no more than 5 years older than himself and went, yup, that's dad right there. The little ones may hesitate to call him that but I will not.

“What are you, a Kent?” 

It’s a saying in the world of the supernatural. A well-known one even. See, several, many generations back, no one quite knows when, the Kent family managed to run afoul of a particularly nasty creature who laid a curse upon them. The original wording, no one quite knows either, but the gist, everyone is aware of. For no firstborns will be born to them before they already have one. 

It was supposed to be airtight in a way, a curse that would end the entire bloodline really. For a child to exist before they could have a child? How could that be? 

Well. That curse had… backfired. It had backfired massively. Most, at least back when blood was everything, didn’t exactly ponder things like adoption to those outside of their own bloodline. The Kents however, lived in a very simple village, one that had disease spread through it often back then, leaving families childless and children parentless. 

What were they to do but take them in? And so they had a son, many sons and daughters even, before their firstborn. Now of course, most would simply dismiss it afterwards. After all, that was the end of the story, isn’t it? 

Well, no. See, the curse was a family-line curse, a just in case perhaps, that meant that each generation could not have any children until they had children. Perhaps it should have ended there, but well. It didn’t. 

Kents are a strange breed in the world of the supernatural, known for having a… bit of an adoption problem. If any child or babe were to be left near their land, one can be assured the family line would take them in as their own. 

Fae, demon, human, changeling, satyr, cyclops, half-breeds, werewolf- it didn’t matter. A Kent would gladly pick the child up and raise it as their own. And now, they could add aliens to that long, long list in the family line. 

And really, perhaps with this context, is it really surprising that when one Clark Kent, said alien, opens his door to a basket on his doorstep holding a trio of godlings, he takes them in with no questions asked?

Shoutout to the writing of and inclusion of the line "Yeah, for Mom's work" that just so clearly makes sure to clarify: this is not characters who don't like each other. This is siblings fighting.

Will sees Joyce as El's mom and El as his sister and that is not revokable when he's mad, it is a universal truth to him now. He's upset with her but he is upset with his sister and they wanted to make sure you knew that that's what this is to him. This isn't season 3, he isn't tense with his crush's girlfriend. He's just having a squabble with his sister, which she is first now.

so we all agree that kirkwall is both horrifying and fascinating and i wish they'd delved more into its bloody history beyond the snippets we get from the codexes of the band of three. like hello?? three seekers of truth - among which a dalish mage - scurrying about the sewers and lower passages of the city, discovering that kirkwall was designed as some sort of magical symbol, has grooves in the sewers allowing the flood of blood downward for blood magic purposes, and last but not least realizing that its circle of magi had a much higher number of failed harrowings & episodes of blood magic hysteria than basically any other circle in existence??? you cant leave me hanging like that. why was the veil so thin there even before tevinter came? why were they weakening it further?? what was tevinter doing with all those disappeared slaves every year and the huge blood magic ritual involving thousands of slaves and the city itself being a magic symbol??? did the band ever find out if the Forbidden Ones are the same Forgotten Ones of dalish lore??? why was xebenkeck called 'forgotten one'??? hello????? what the fuck is up in kirkwall??????

Tiny Details I Noticed During My Brand Search of Sing 2

There are several posters throughout both cities with the words "Love, Respect, Protect" next to what looks like a jaguar or an ocelot on them.

Johnny's nails appear to be painted the entire time (shiny and reflective when they are matte in the first movie).

In the background of the scene right before the piglets come in, you can see Johnny and Meena talking. Johnny says something towards Rosita, she turns and throws a pillow at him, and they all burst out laughing and smiling. Which is just down right adorable.

THERE ARE THREE HIDDEN MIKE POSTERS. THREE. TWO IN THE CRYSTAL THEATRE AND ONE BY THE MOON THEATRE.

The advertisements outside Moon Theatre are frames from the first movie.

In the scene where the giraffes coming out of the elevator slip due to the troupe mopping as a disguise, Ryan appears to start smiling/laughing in the corner.

There is an award shaped like Nana herself on her bedroom fireplace mantle.

Every time something big is proposed or annouced and we get to see the troupe's immediate reaction, Johnny and Meena do the "are you hearing this?" best friend glance and its so cute. I'm not kidding, every time.

Zoro fights a lot with just 2 swords now instead of heading straight for the three sword style. Like I know he would uses only two swords previously for some things and he even had some 2 and 1 sword style moves but that was mainly just cutting obstacles. But now even in fights with some weight to them he uses 2 swords for the majority of it and then 3 sword style to finish them off (like with pica or lucci)

Which I never really noticed before but makes total sense now giving who he trained with for 2 years .

This is his evolution of Mihawk fighting lesser opponents with his knife. He’s learning restraint. Because if Zoro was going to learn anything from Mihawk in the two years they spent together. It was going be how to stunt on fools.
