death note is an entire series of L and light correctly clocking each other's character intentions trains of thought personality ideals beliefs next moves etc etc etc and then either not identifying or being resistant to taking the most advantageous course of action because they simply cannot resist taking the more interesting path. there are multiple points throughout the series in which either one of them could have ended the game by simply flipping the board but they don't do it because then they don't really win. that's not to say they won't play underhanded or use hidden advantages but if they're going to do that it needs to be something the other could feasibly respond to or else they won't be satisfied. they both need to know, if i continue to play by the rules we've mutually set, could i come out on top? could i outplay him in a legitimate fight? could i beat him if i did it right? and the answer is the reason why they both lose

Started reading Death Note for the first time and man, I gotta give it up for my guy Ryuk. Man showed up blinged out and seems to barely have a clue what’s going on. He has no dog in this fight. Just gonna watch this teenager try to become god and look cool as hell while doing it

I have been a fan of this game since before it released, around 1 and 1/2 years ago I'd say, and this game has brought me so much joy. I've replayed it multiple times and have watched parts of it over and over again (I love obsessive interests 😋). I even bought the game twice! The first for the original pre ordered copy and the second for the Mysteriful edition (I also bought the art book and both pop up parades 🫡💸)

I drew this about 3 months ago because I thought I'd need the time (I didn't), and it took about 11 hours to finish everything. It was made on Clip Studio Paint using a Wacom Intuos and basic brushes. Calligraphy was done by me (you can tell because the i and the n in Rain don't match with Anniversary and I switched from cursive to basic calligraphy for some reason 😒).
