if I may be honest for a minute, this christmas is gonna be entirely weird to me (I already cried once) cause I basically have no family left (the ones I do don't spend time with me lol) and for the first time I can remember in life, I'm not making a christmas meal for my family and lots of desserts and doing my best to keep everyone entertained and even though it was super stressful, I already miss it. I needed a place to organise all the info we've gotten from DNP about what the hell they're cooking, so this is the place. I might have missed things, so please always check the original post for the most up to date version of contents as I might change or add things over time. Phil took a question about what they're cooking in his latest Q&A video. He said that something may or may not "happen in the next month", but did not answer the section asking if we should be saving up for it.

Those who RSVP'ed will "be notified first as soon as the news drops" -> presumably related to a limited quantity of items up for grabs, which is why I've included it in this section, but that's just my guess

Someone on Twitter said, "So the phlonde has been in the works for months if that was the main reason he let his hair grow out" and Dan replied with, "what else is he plotting"

Dan and Phil included a blurred out image of a text message in their video, which Dan called "the draft for something that is top secret".

SuperSeizer (one of Dan and Phil's editors) is in on what's happening (the other person in this interaction is their other editor Kris, who may also be involved, depending on how you read this interaction)

In his birthday livestream, Dan talked about how they revived the gaming channel not knowing what the response would be, and were shocked by the enthusiasm from their audience. "Because it seems like there's a thing here. [...] And we need to be like, celebrate the things, acknowledge the things. So, I guess we can say in the most vague way that we can that Dan and Phil have been cooking."

Dan posted his story with the words, "the time is nigh - want to know what dan and phil have been secretly cooking? / reply to this story with: RSVP / and we will send you a dm as soon as the truth is revealed"

Laylo, the website DNP are using for this announcement, is a platform that creators can use to release merch, tickets, or content.

The initial wave of people who RSVP'ed got their confirmation emails from news@mail.danandphiltour.com with the reply email being dh@danielhowell.com. It was then changed; now the emails come from news@laylo.danandphilshop.com with the reply email being danandphilshopweb@gmail.com.

Dan and Phil would have been aware that they were using the tour email at first, as they would have had to manually enter it themselves. (Thanks @dnpbeats for the investigative work!)

Well, that's it.

Honestly it's kind of weird being done with this blog. I've had it for at least a third of my life up until now - seven years - and I don't think I've actively paid attention to it in four or more.

It's not that I hate Dan & Phil or something, I literally just had an aggressive change in personality in 2018/19 and I really don't know why. I do keep up with them on Twitter, though, and I'm happy about all the things they've done but I don't really watch their content anymore.

I also kind of doubt that anyone following this blog will see this or is even active - I get about two notifs a month, usually random spam bot accounts following me or someone liking a single post. On an account with 5k followers. It's crazy.

Of course I don't care. It's internet points, I'm just a speck of dust in the universe, one day I'll die anyway. But I'd like to think maybe I already had my 15 minutes of fame. Or maybe Andy Warhol is a piece of shit, and I'll get another 15 minutes. Who cares?

Sorry to be all dramatic and weird about this. Gonna be honest, it's really therapeutic for me to pretend that people will give a shit about this.

I still don't know why the links just stopped working or why I couldn't add a tag filtering system. I was like 13 or 14 when I made this blog, I didn't know what the fuck I was doing.

LGBTQ+ Movies I Watched Recently (Part 2)

Happiest Season (2020) dir. Clea DuVall

Short Summary: Abby plans on proposing to Harper when they visit Harper’s family for the holidays. Her plans get derailed when she learns that Harper hasn’t come out to her family yet.

Why you should watch it: Not gonna lie, Mackenzie Davis drew me to this movie; I’ve been in love with her ever since San Junipero came out. Add Kristen Stewart, Aubrey Plaza and Dan Levy to the mix and I’m sold. If you want a sapphic romance with a happy ending, this one’s for you. 

Été 85 (2020) dir.  François Ozon

Short Summary: Alexis recounts his six-week love affair with David during the summer of ‘85. 

Why you should watch it: If you love 80s aesthetic and music, you definitely should watch this. The movie made me nostalgic of that decade and I wasn’t even alive back then! It’s a whirlwind summer romance reminiscent of Call Me by Your Name but with a more devastating twist.

Getting Go: The Go Doc Project (2013) dir. Cory James Krueckeberg

Short Summary: An obsessed college boy pursues his internet crush through the pretext of making a documentary about him.

Why you should watch it: The script and the acting are the one-two punch of this film. The writing is incredibly genuine, and both of the actors’ performances made the lines feel even more natural. I’m not the biggest fan of mockumentary-style films, but this one felt like it was a recording of my own life. Hyper-obsessive college grad with a Tumblr blog? Might as well have called out half the population of this damn site.

Pihalla (2017) dir. Nils-Erik Ekblom

Short Summary: Miku and Elias find themselves, and each other, during a summer in the Finnish countryside.

Why you should watch it: I’m a sucker for gays in the countryside™ and although this one is not quite up there with God’s Own Country and Call Me by Your Name, it still makes for a good watch. Miku as a character and his relationship with his parents was chaotic and fun. His relationship with Elias felt really natural and dreamy. 

You, Me and Him (2017) dir. Daisy Aitkens

Short Summary: Olivia, a mature responsible lawyer, wants to have a baby, but her girlfriend Alex isn’t ready for the responsibility. Things get even more complicated when their flirty neighbour, John, joins the picture. 

Why you should watch it: It is one of the most feel-good lesbian romcoms I have seen in a while. But I warn you, there are some dark parts that can really sneak up on you. Yeah, it’s hilarious, but damn it made me ugly cry, too. Oh, and if you want to see David Tennant as an alpha male douchebag, here’s your chance. (CW: **spoiler alert** p̶r̶e̶g̶n̶a̶n̶c̶y̶ ̶l̶o̶s̶s̶ )

Giant Little Ones (2018) dir. Keith Behrman 

Short Summary: Franky and Ballas have been best friends since childhood, both on the swimming team, both incredibly popular. But after an incident during Franky’s birthday, they quickly fall apart and Franky falls from grace.

Why you should watch it: I think the film captures just how tumultuous coming-of-age stories are. Franky is going through his own journey of self-identity, and I’m happy that the movie didn’t rush in with labels. The conversation Franky has with his dad at the end also hits hard.  (CW: physical assault, allusions to sexual assault)

Our Love Story (2016) dir. HyunJu Lee

Short Summary: A fine arts student meets an attractive bartender, and the two women begin an intimate relationship.

Why you should watch it: It’s a very intimate love story that isn’t rushed or dragged out for too long. We definitely see Yoon-Jo and Ji-Soo’s relationship bloom from start to end, but it’s not mind-numbingly boring to watch. Raw and unembellished, I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a realistic portrayal of wlw romance.

Die Mitte der Welt (2016) dir. Jakob M. Erwa

Short Summary: The film follows Phil and his relationship with his family, his best friend, and a newcomer at his school, Nicholas.

Why you should watch it: This is technically a second watch for me, and I’m glad I rewatched it, because I was able to catch some glaring red flags that I missed the first time. I love this movie in spite of all the heartache it caused me. The story, especially the deal with Phil’s family, struck a chord in me. And the shots! Visually stunning as well! 

Les Amours Imaginaires (2010) dir. Xavier Dolan

Short Summary: Marie and Francis’ friendship is put to the test when a beautiful boy called Nicolas comes between them. 

Why you should watch it: Watch it for the visuals -- the colors, the costumes, the cast. Seriously, the actors included here may as well be kept in the Louvre: Xavier Dolan, Neils Schneider, Monia Chokri, hell, even a cameo from Louis Garrel! Dolan said it himself that this is a shallow film, but it’s worth the watch just to see Neils Schneider wearing heart-shaped glasses.

Closet Monster (2015)  dir. Stephen Dunn

Short Summary: A creative and driven teenager is desperate to escape his hometown and the haunting memories of his turbulent childhood.

Why you should watch it: Right off the bat, I am going to say that this film is dark. I tried watching it back in college but tapped out within the first ten minutes because something traumatic happens. Then I tried again about a week ago, finished it this time. It’s actually a very moving film. It’s violent and gory in some parts, but also ridiculous and wholesome in other parts. IT HAS A TALKING HAMSTER NAMED BUFFY! BUFFY WAS THE STAR OF THIS MOVIE FOR ME. (CW: gay bashing/sexual assault)

Straight Up (2020) dir. James Sweeney

Short Summary: Todd and Rory are intellectual soul mates. He might be gay but she might not care.

Why you should watch it: The dialogue in this film is undeniably sharp and witty. Loved the fast-paced back and forth between the two main characters as they discuss relationships, sex, gender, and more. James Sweeney and Katie Findlay’s chemistry just pulled you into the screen. It was funny, it was sweet, it was heartwrenching, it was great! (CW: allusions to sexual assault)

Latter Days (2003) dir. C. Jay Cox

Short Summary: A promiscuous gay party animal falls for a young Mormon missionary, leading to crisis, cliché, and catastrophe.

Why you should watch it: I saw this in santiagonex’s top 20 LGBTQ+ films with happy endings, and I honestly thought it was gonna be a feel-good watch. Instead, I got a rollercoaster melodrama filled with early 2000s gay culture, religious guilt, buttcheeks, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Needless to say, I got more than I bargained for. (CW: self-harm, conversion therapy)

The Old Guard (2020) dir. Gina Prince-Blythewood

I decided to include it, because JESUS! I have never seen such respectful and well-written representation of queer characters and relationships. Joe and Nicky are the most unproblematic couple in history. PERIOD. Pray for sequels, everyone. This is the kind of representation we deserve in mainstream media.

The Sims Community Census in a Nutshell

As promised, here are the results of the survey that I put out for all of my followers. Please take these findings with a grain of salt; my following does not encompass everyone who plays The Sims. As such, it is possible that the results could be inaccurate to some degree.

Warning: the following post is very text-heavy.

The first question asked participants which games in The Sims series they currently play. The Sims two boasted a solid 83.7%, while The Sims 3 and 4 are each played by 34.2% and 35.6%, respectively. The next highest percentage is that of The Sims Medieval: 11.9%. The original game is tied with The Sims: Castaway Stories at 6.9%. Alternately, 4.5% of participants consider themselves lurkers, and several other games, including The Sims Bustin’ Out and MySims, rank at 0.5% each.

As for which title is the reigning favorite, The Sims 2 took the lead at 83.6%, with The Sims 3 following behind at 12.4%. The Sims 4 had a surprising 4%, while The Sims received no votes at all.

With regard to Simblr posting habits, the vast majority of simmers concentrate on one of these three areas: custom content (31.2%), gameplay (47.7%), and reblogs (40.2). In addition to those that post custom content, sims and lots weigh in at 27.6% and 21.1% each, while a sizable 30.7% of simmers post stories. Factoring in the 36.7% of participants who consider themselves lurkers and the assorted other simmers who post headcanons, tutorials, or other content, The Sims community on Tumblr is very diverse in what it has to offer a player. To those lurkers: don’t be shy; we don’t bite.

The content that most simmers follow other blogs to see is storytelling, with 87% of participants listing that as their main interest. In a very close second, 86.5% simmers voted that they follow blogs that post custom content. Many players, many being 77.5% also choose to follow other players who post gameplay or information related to the history and or storylines related to the game.

Out of the participants, 75.9% have a specifically The Sims-themed blog. Of those individuals, 46.5% run one blog, 21.2% run two, and 32.3% run three or more, though only 24.% of those users run more than one The Sims-themed blog.

Outside of Tumblr, there were several recurring sites that simmers use to connect with each other and to find content and stories. The most recurring answer was, of course, Mod the Sims, with Garden of Shadows being mentioned almost as frequently. LiveJournal also remains a long term favorite, with several participants directly mentioning Strange Tomato and Skell’s stories. Other favorites include: Leefish, Plumbob Keep, Discord, Reddit, Simscave, and other sites, most of which are considered “dead” or inactive.

When it comes to gameplay, most simmers prefer a more challenging game with a mix of free will and micromanaging, and the general consensus is that “whatever is going to happen is going to happen” in gameplay as opposed to playing based on wants or with a story in mind. As for which kinds of sims are most played, 20.4% of players prefer EAxis premades, 31.3% prefer their own sims, and 48.3% enjoy playing both. The most entertaining answer was by far related to simmers’ favorite mods; almost every single answer had a very familiar acronym: ACR.

For those of you looking to branch out, current trends in challenges include: the legacy challenge (no surprise there), the build a city challenge (BaCC), the apocalypse challenge, the asylum challenge, and the 100 baby challenge among others. When it comes to style of custom content, Maxis Match reigns supreme at 63.2%, with semi-realistic coming in second at 31.8% and realistic at 5%. Those of you who enjoy watching gameplay as much as playing the game might take interest in some of the popular YouTubers among fans of The Sims: Dan and Phil Games, The Sim Supply, Deligracy, Matt Shea, The Jessa Channel, Lazy Game Reviews, Chrillsims 3, Rooster Teeth, and Mara, though it is worth noting that one individual pointed out the unfortunate lack of proper closed captioning on some of these videos.

Now for the non-game related bit: demographics! Over half of the players who participated in the census were females, and the largest age range of players was in the 18-24 demographic. The LGBTQ+ community is well-represented amongst simmers with a whopping 48.2% identifying as part of the community and 32.8% considering themselves allies. Additionally, there are simmers all over the world, with most residing in the US or Europe and some as far as the Middle East, Asia, and South Africa. The Sims Community is indeed a diverse group.

Just for fun, I included a question asking players why they enjoy The Sims. The most overwhelming answer was simply because it is fun and provides an escape. Other common answers elaborate on how the game provides an outlet for creativity, referred to as a “creativity toilet” by one user, and allows players to create their own characters and storylines. Many also stated that the game is nostalgic, with one eloquent simmer stating “It captured my heart as a child and refused to let go.”

Phil abruptly paused the video game.

“Dan, it’s…” Phil glanced at the clock on the DVD player, “11:22 on a Friday.”

“…So?”

“So, it’s 11:22 on a Friday and you’re playing video games and eating mediocre, room temperature Chinese food on my sofa.”

Dan could feel the color draining from his face. “Oh, uh, I can grab a taxi home if you wanna go to sleep or out with your mates or whatever.”

Phil grabbed Dan’s wrist. “No! That’s not how I meant it.” Dan looked apprehensively at Phil. “Trust me, I want you here. Not just tonight, but every night you’re here.” A slight smile formed on Dan’s lips. “And most nights you’re not, really.”

Dan leaned back into the sofa, feeling at least temporarily reassured that his boyfriend wasn’t trying to kick him out.

“Okay, then what’s your point?”

When Phil leaned forward and sat his controller on the coffee table, Dan realized that this conversation was much more serious than he’d originally thought.

“I mean it’s 11:22 on a Friday and you’re holed up here in my apartment. Wouldn’t you rather be out at a club with your mates from class? Jack and Matt or whatever their names are?”

Dan couldn’t help scoffing. “No.” Phil ran his hand through his hair, pushing it up into a quiff. Dan turned to face Phil fully. “Phil, what’s this really about?”

Phil moved to sit cross-legged on the sofa, mirroring Dan’s position. “So remember when we used to Skype and you used to talk about how excited you were to not live under your parents’ watchful eyes and get the freedom to do whatever you wanted to when you go to uni?” He waited for Dan to nod before he continued. “I guess I’m just wondering what changed? Because I’m pretty sure that playing video games at 11:22 on a Friday is the most parentally-acceptable thing you could be doing right now.”

“Nothing’s changed. I wasn’t excited to move out so that I could go out with a bunch of lads and get wrecked at clubs. I was excited to move out so that I could be independent and not have my dad constantly asking what I’m doing about my future and my mom walking into the room every 15 minutes if a girl is over to make sure no ‘funny business’ is going on and my brother reliably bursting into my room at the worst possible times.”

“I know, I know. But still, you’re nineteen. Don’t you want to be embracing your youth and getting that quintessential first year of uni experience? You know, go out and flirt with all the pretty people and make decisions your parents may or may not approve of if they knew?”

“First of all, no, I don’t want to be out ‘flirting with all the pretty people’ because, as far as I’m concerned, I’m sitting on the sofa of the only pretty person I care about.” Dan chuckled at the blush that rose to Phil’s cheeks. “Second of all, I’m already making decisions my parents may or may not approve of. I don’t need to go out to clubs every night to accomplish that.”

“What decisions?”

“Well, YouTube for one. I’m sure if my dad knew how much time I spent making videos when I could be studying, he’d be livid.”

“But—”

Dan cut off Phil’s interruption. “And also this.”

Phil’s eyebrows knit together in confusion. “What? Playing video games at 11:22 on a Friday?”

“No, I mean this.” Dan gestured meaningfully between him and Phil.

“Oh.”

“Yeah. Oh.”

“But your parents know me.”

“They do. Sort of. They know Phil-who-I-used-to-Skype-a-lot and Phil-my-friend-from-Manchester and Phil-who-I-spend-all-my-spare-time-with. But not Phil-my-boyfriend. I’ve never denied it, but I’ve never exactly said it either. And they’ve never asked.”

“So are you afraid that they may not approve of me?”

“Not so much you specifically. More like, I’m afraid that they may not approve of the concept of you.”

The room was silent as the meaning of Dan’s statement sunk in. “Dan, have you not come out to your parents?”

“No. I didn’t want to before I left because I didn’t want them assuming I was moving to Manchester just to be with my boyfriend. But now… I just don’t know how they are going to react.”

Phil nodded understandingly. “Your parents sound like good people, I’m confident it will be okay. When you decide to tell them, I’m here for you. Whether you want advice or me to be there with you or me to be parked outside with an emergency getaway car. Just let me know.”

“Thanks, Phil.” After pecking Phil on the cheek, Dan unpaused their game, needing a bit to process the unexpected direction the conversation had taken.

The game continued on as though their serious conversation hadn’t occurred. Out of the corner of his eye, however, Phil noticed that Dan still looked lost in thought and wasn’t surprised when he abruptly re-paused the game.

Phil sat his controller back on the table and turned to Dan expectantly, waiting for the younger to speak.

“About what you said earlier, the whole embracing my youth and going out and whatnot.”

Phil nodded, silently urging Dan to continue.

“I wanted to make it clear that I don’t want that. I’m doing exactly what I want. Playing video games on your sofa at 11:22 while eating crappy room temperature Chinese food is how I want to spend every single Friday night. And for that matter, Saturday and Sunday and Monday and—.”

“Our sofa.”

“What?”

“You sleep here at least four nights a week, you have a key to the flat, your own box of cereal—that, yes, I eat half of but at least I replaced it this time—and a toothbrush in the bathroom. Dan, you already spend almost as much time here as I do. Why bother moving to another place you’ll spend no time at next semester? Move in with me.”

Dan looked completely shell-shocked and Phil immediately began to back peddle.

“I mean, only if you want to of course. I totally get it if it’s too sudden or you don’t think we’re there yet or—”

“Yes.”

“Yes,” Phil felt his face threatening to break into a smile, but he had to be sure first. “Yes to which thing?”

“Yes to moving in with you. Here. Although maybe in the future we try a different take-out restaurant because that place seriously tastes like placenta.”

“We can try any place you want to, bear.”

7. Who takes the baby for their first haircut and who gets overly emotional about it? They both go for a mini vlog and Dan totally cries.

You get a notification on your phone. LessAmazingPhil has just uploaded a video. Zach’s First Haircut! Without thinking about it, you plug in your earbuds and open the video. You figure cleaning the kitchen can wait a minute and a half.

The camera zooms in on Dan who is trying to pet down Zach’s curls and completely ignoring Phil. The camera is shaky, but it’s a LessAmazingPhil video, and those are always a little shaky in Phil’s hands. “We’re taking Zach to get his first haircut today!” Phil announces from off screen.

Thanks to the zoom, you can just barely see Dan roll his eyes before he says, “Quit making it sound so dramatic. He’s just getting the scraggly bits chopped off. I don’t even know why you’re filming this.”

The camera turns to Phil, but Phil forgot to zoom out, so you get a very good shot of the inside of Phil’s nostril. Again, you’re used to this. “It’s a momentous occasion, right guys? Zach’s practically a grown man after today!”

“Yeah, yeah. Help me get him strapped into his wagon.”

The camera cuts and now you see that the three of them are in a brightly colored children’s salon. Dan is standing with the stylist next to the chair Zach is strapped into, gesturing to explain what they want for Zach’s hair. “I think Dan might wind up taking the scissors and do it himself,” Phil mutters, the sound crackly and filling your earbuds. His voice was low, but apparently Dan still heard him because he flipped him off, much to the amusement of the stylist.

Dan eventually sits down and you’re treated to the highlights of Zach’s first haircut. You notice he’s very still the whole time, even when the hair dryer comes out. Dan and Phil also notice, and comment several times about how good Zach is being and Dan claims he isn’t surprised at all because Zach is always the perfect baby. The camera zooms in and out on Dan’s face at close range and Phil teases, “Hey, Dan? Think you’re gonna cry when this is all over?”

Dan rolls his eyes and shoves the camera out of his face.

The camera cuts again, and Dan is standing in front of a strange contraption with Zach in his arms. The stylist explains that this is where they turn hair into prizes if the kid was good. Phil loudly exclaims that his childhood salon had one too, and Dan gets Zach to watch as he puts in the tiny amount of baby hairs and pulls a lever. After some cartoony bells and whistles, Dan reaches in and reveals a tiny rubber duck, which he gives to Zach. 

You watch as Dan smugly turns to the camera. “Aw, Phil, looks like you were wrong. Here we are at the end of the haircut and I didn’t cry once.”

The camera switches to Phil who rolls his eyes, and says, “Alright, fine. I lost. I’ll order the pizza and answer the door.”

The video fades to black and you almost close the video, but you glance down and notice there’s still almost twenty seconds of footage left. You decide to wait.

Seconds later, your patience is rewarded when Phil’s face fills the screen. He’s sat on the sofa in the lounge grinning like the cat who got the cream. His arm is hanging over something out of frame, and you assume it’s Dan’s shoulders. “Guys, you’ll never guess what I found when I came into the lounge earlier,” Phil near giggles, his voice soft and deep like it never is on his main channel. He pulls his arm closer and Dan falls into his side, very clearly only just recovered from a good crying session. “Looks like someone did cry over the haircut after all!”

“You’re the worst,” Dan whines, his voice just as soft as Phil’s. “Besides, Zach’s growing up right in front of us. How do I not cry over that?”

Phil laughs and presses a kiss to Dan’s damp cheek, and the screen goes blank for real. You bite your lip and stare at the phone in your hand. Maybe the kitchen can wait another minute and a half.

What are your top 5 favorite edits you’ve done for the blog so far?

Oh man, I’ve made so many random shitposts. In chronological order below!

1) This one because I love Obama memes and Engeki Haikyuu!! Also I’d never used the perspective tool before when editing, so this edit was a great learning experience for me. (I should really make an updated version of this with our new setters.)

2) I’m getting flashbacks from the war. Oh my god, this one took forever to make. I saw a Lazytown version of this meme, and I found it so hilarious that I had to make one for the Haikyuu!! opening!

3) I love Deadchi so much, and I was ecstatic when I saw how much love my series received.

4) I remember seeing the original post that this was inspired by and knew I had to make a Hinata version. There are still some problems I have with it, but I feel like it looks fairly realistic (minus the fact that Hinata’s animated).

5) A funny one I made when we first got the announcement of a Haikyuu!! dub. I don’t know, I just sort of like how simple it is.

in chronological order:

1) this one isn’t as good because it’s an old edit, but it’s important because making this edit really helped me learn how to effectively use my editing program. the skills i learned from making this edit essentially made the rest of these edits on the list. plus oipepe is bae

2) this was really my first very ambitious edit, and although i see a lot of flaws with it now i think it’s pretty impressive considering the skills i had back then. 

3) oh this edit sure was a doozy. it took me a super long time but i was really satisfied with how it turned out. once again, this edit helped me learn more tricks and tips in making better edits.

4) this edit wasn’t super hard and didn’t really help me learn anything it was just super fun to make lmaooo

A/N: It’s not beta’d and English is not my first language, so there might be mistakes. Also I’m having a hard time writting these cuz I’m doing Inktober in my main blog.

Dan could always tell when something was wrong with Phil. After almost eight years of knowing him, it wasn’t something weird. He had been with Phil in his best moments and in his worst and time had taught him how to identify the feelings of the elder depending on his behaviour.

Right now, in this exact moment, he could see that something was bothering him. If you had asked him a few years ago, he would say that he just knew it, he didn’t knew why; but now he could point out the things that told him that: Phil’s posture was slightly better due to the tension in his whole body, he paid less attention to everything he was doing, he talked less and stayed a lot in his room (even though he usually didn’t use it).

During the years, he had tried different strategies for not making him mad when trying to discover why he wasn’t feeling okay. This time, Dan had a plan in how to approach him.

He made some tea and entered in Phil’s room with a mug, not saying a word. Phil barely looked up from his laptop when he came into the room. Then Dan, seeing that he was being ignored, left the mug in the bedside table, took Phil’s laptop from his lap, leaving it on the side, and started kissing Phil before he could protest. Dan put a leg on each side of Phil’s body, and kissed him passionately. At some point, Phil stopped Dan, pulling him away carefully.

“What are you doing, Dan?” he asked, confused.

“I know that you’re not gonna tell me what’s wrong, so at least I’m gonna distract you until you decide to tell me what’s going on.”

“What are you talking abo-?” Dan cut him off before he finished the sentence. He kissed him again, this time pushing him down the bed, so he would be on top of Phil, pressing him against the mattress. “Dan, I wanted to finish editing.”

“I might keep doing this until you tell me what’s wrong, then.” Dan pressed their hips together, making Phil groan before talking.

“Fuck, Dan. There’s nothing wrong, just leave it like tha-ah!” While he was talking, Dan’s hand had gone under Phil’s shirt and was playing with one of his nipples.

“Don’t even try to lie to me, Lester. I know you well enough.” He kissed Phil again, who just relaxed into the bed. He knew he couldn’t do anything to stop him, so he better enjoy the ride and try to escape from Dan once both of them were done with this.

However, that didn’t happen. They both ended up naked in the small bed, Dan being the dominant one in the relationship (which was weird), reaching their orgasms, but that didn’t mean that Dan was going to let it go.

Phil was going to get up when Dan took him by the wrist, stopping him. Dan pulled him back to the bed at pressed him against the mattress once again, now pulling his wrist over his head, not letting him move. Phil doubted for a second, he could not be thinking about going again, none of them had enough stamina.

“Why are you doing this?” Phil asked.

“No reason.” Dan’s smirked made obvious to Phil that he wouldn’t let him go until he said what was going on.

“Dan...”

“Phil...”

“What do you want me to do?” Phil almost shouted, and Dan let him go, sitting on the bed.

“I want you to be honest; to let me help you. You always helped me go through my rough stages, I wanna help you too.” Phil slowly sat up, leaving only a few centimetres between Dan and him, which he didn’t doubt in closing. Their lips touch for a second and then Phil exhaled, deciding to talk.

“It’s not that important. I just had a few days when I’ve been thinking too much about everything.” Dan kissed his forehead, asking silently for what he was thinking of. “It’s just... between the taxes, and trying to come up with ideas for videos, and editing, and everything else in our lives. After going on holidays, and then to that YouTube convention, is like I haven’t done any of these things for a while and everything is a bit overwhelming. I’m sorry I’ve been acting weird.”

“Don’t be sorry about it, really. I just wish you’d talk to me about these things, I wanna help you out. I haven’t been as busy as you and I could have helped you.” Phil kissed Dan’s lips softly, smiling into it.

“Okay, next time I will, I promise.” Dan gave him back the laptop but sat next to him.

“We don’t have to wait. Let me get my laptop and I’ll help you edit, okay?”

“Okay.”
