#first Jesse and Lukas and now Jack

I'm a bit of a character outfit/costume nerd and I was wondering if you had anything to share about what went in to making the outfits for The New Order's season 2 outfits? I can tell that Lukas and Petra keep the more "hero" appearance because they are still active adventures, while Axel and Olivia have more casual clothes becuase their focus has shifted from being adventurers to being leaders of Redstonia and Boomtown respectively. (Also whoever decided that Axel should wear a flannel and a skull shirt was so right and deserves cookies.)

The goal for season 2’s costume design were to reflect two things:

1. How things had changed in the characters’ lives since the first season - Lukas is still an adventurer, but a new one focused on stories and exploration, hence his new (frankly, anime-inspired) outfit. Petra is still clinging to the past which is why her armor is still the same one from the portal arc, just endlessly repaired and cobbled back together. Axel and Olivia have traded adventuring for running their towns, so their clothes reflect that… and then of course Ivor is a ninja now. Naturally.

2. How the server/world on the whole had changed and evolved - Something we never got the chance to show is that Beacontown is a hub city connected to every other town by a complex subway and mail tube system. It’s even connected to worlds within the portal network thanks to complicated and well-organized use of the enchanted flint & steel + the atlas of the old builders. This means that people from all over the world(s) are coming together in Beacontown to make it a melting pot of all kinds of styles and appearances. Characters like Radar in his hoodie + tie combo, Jack’s urban pirate look, Stella’s power suit.. these are some of the looks meant to reflect the increasing diversity of Jesse’s world and move the art direction away from some of the semi-medieval/fantasy vibes that were still hanging around.

So I'm rewatching Episode 5 to get ideas, and well, I got one

The hardest line in the episode, "This temple, this challenge was my first gift to you, but now it's going to be where I bury you", that line would have to be changed due to the circumstances that have taken place. Jack has obtained the golden gauntlet, it is shimmering in the dim light. The surroundings make Jack's heart sink, his brain scream and his lungs shutter, but the fear had to be ignored, he couldn't stop now.

"Callou Callay, Jack." Whispers an all too familiar voice, Jack turned, his eyes met a familiar face. One that belonged to... No... Jack had to remind himself, fighting his tears. This isn't Vos...

"Remember when you saw me? When Jesse saved me? I thought he would be my friend... And you didn't even connect the dots"

The fear and mourning in Jack's broken heart gives way, caving in like gravel, allowing the flood of hate to take over. Jack found himself rushing towards The Admin, gauntlet raised.

"Figures..." His not-friend fell back, tipping off the platform before Jack could make contact.

"the gauntlet... This temple..." Romeo's form still held Vos's, given the voice, but it sounded wrong now, much deeper.

"They were his first gifts..."

A gargantuan Vos rose from the void, his eyes narrowed with unspoken hate and disappointment. "And now... As I should have done before... This will be where I bury you"

Rewinding back a bit, From Lukas's perspective, I'd imagine Petra suddenly showing up in "Jesse's" tower is simultaneously relieving, knowing she didn't die, and suspicious. He doesn't know how Petra is alive and her current state raises some eyebrows and he hasn't even connected the dots with Jesse yet.

Of course, The New Ocelots, being dramatic as they are, very nearly sent Petra into a fury, she was ready to throw hands until Lukas stepped up before chaos could unfold

Skipping forward a bit, Originally, I did think Lukas would be the one to use the golden gauntlet, but thematically, Jack might make more sense. Romeo is the reason he initially got cursed. After all, an admin was (albeit indirectly) responsible for the deaths of his closest friends, and it traumatized him. And now an admin is responsible for cursing his new friends and potentially putting them through a fate far worse than death itself. Defeating Romeo could give Jack the closure he needs

Another idea I've been playing with is more side effects for the netherrack gauntlet. Since it's made out of netherrack, what if some of its side effects are the opposite of the Prismarine gauntlet? This has already been the case, Jesse's curse accelerates when he's in danger, but Petra's curse is slowed down by danger and fighting, however it's something I want to explore a little more. While cursed, Petra feels extremely cold (especially in stage 3) and can only be warmed up by being in lava or fire. What if water actually damages her or at least accelerates the curse? If this is the case even carrying water buckets can be dangerous for her

Okayyyy gonna do an info dump on the life au for mcsm gonna put this all under read more, continue on if you'd like to know what it's about >:] This is just the basic like rundown of the au

First thing to get out of the way this au is based off/inspired by an old minecraft roleplay from ryguyrocky called minecraft life. As I've continued to watch the roleplay I've decided this au will not follow things that happened in the roleplay all the way, mostly the beginning stuff and then I'll do my own thing with it, but here are the basics:

Some people in this universe are born with runes/magic. And only a specific kind. Some of these runes are rarer than others, and there are differences between how villagers use the magic and how nomads (players) use it. This is kept a secret from the general public. And while a lot of people have magic, the majority of the population does not.

There are ten runes in total, giving people different abilities. In the roleplay it said people can use multiple? But for this au you only get the one you're born with. These runes on players/nomads show up on their wrists when they use their powers. For villagers I am not sure yet.

There are also schools for people born with these powers. The one Petra gets invited to is L.I.F.E academy, and there's a process in the beginning with the first years so they can see who has and who doesn't have powers. Kicking out everyone who doesn't before they can learn about the runes and magic stuff. They disguise it as a regular college before finding out who has and who doesn't have powers.

Speaking of Petra she's our main focus character for this au. Because out of all the runes she gets, she has the rarest and the one considered the most dangerous of them all: fire. The reason for this is because of how unstable and uncontrollable it is. And because of how rare it is, nobody knows how to handle it.

It is also now feared on the academy's campus, due to an incident from years ago. Following one of the academy's top students who was also a fire user. Romeo. Xara and Jack were both direct witnesses to the event and have been changed by it in completely opposite ways. (Got something I want to draw for that actually ooo 👀)

Petra after being told this by Harper, is told she needs to keep this hidden. Tell people they know she has powers, they just don't know which rune she has, or if it's a new rune. The only people who know about this are: Harper, Jack, Nurm, Jesse, and Jay. (M Jesse). Jack also decides to help her train with her powers, and become her mentor since he has the water rune. (This is not going to last forever, people are eventually going to find out, but those are everyone who knows about it in the beginning.)

But soon Hadrian, Mevia, and Xara are really really suspicious of this. And they have like. veryyyyyyy different intentions on what they will do to Petra if they find out she has that power.

I don't think I'll go into the specifics of what each rune does right now cause I'm not done with my personal additions/adjustments to them. But so you know here's the main group, and I already did say who had what in one of my earlier posts.

Petra - fire, Jay - plant(also known as healing), Jesse - earth, Axel - lightning, Olivia - tech, Lukas - wind/air or whatever, Radar - physic

Radar's the youngest at 18, Jay, Jesse, and Olivia are 19, Lukas and Petra are 20, and Axel is 21. (This is for this au btw, I have a way different headcanon age for everyone in canon after season 2.) And I just am really loving this au cause it's in some ways a modern/college au, but they have magic powers along side it. With Petra's power being the most uncontrollable. And also just it's based off of one of the old minecraft roleplays from years ago that I loved when I was like 11-12.

I hate to say it but if there’s anyone out there I need help. Something’s happened to Jesse and I don’t know what to do. I’m heading back to Beacontown as we speak to find Lukas, Radar, Jack, and everyone else. But I don’t know how long that’ll take. We've been out traveling for a while.

So that’s why I’m here. To get all the help I can get now. Jesse’s been acting weird. Ever since we went to this creepy temple a couple weeks ago she’s… off. The way she speaks. The way she acts. Something isn’t right. I hear her voice but it’s not her. It doesn’t feel like her. The way she moves and she keeps - she keeps calling me Alex sometimes. I don’t know where that came from. I don’t know why it’s the name Alex of all things. And then she laughs it off like it was a silly mistake, but we’ve never. We’ve never known anyone named Alex.

It all started when we were looking for treasure. We were in the nether, we found a temple I never thought would be in this dimension. It was like a fortress, but bigger, more complex… We searched for hours for something, and just found a… a stupid dirt block! 

At least that’s what we thought it was... Jesse discovered it can actually change into different blocks, and it’s infinite. Just one block can create a wall, or any kind of build you can imagine. It’s - it’s insane! Jesse also said she’s felt a little weird ever since she’s been carrying it. Mobs have hit her a few times, but she felt no pain at all. She hasn’t felt hungry, or tired either. I don’t like this.

I’ve asked her to drop it, or let me hold it for a while and she refuses. I don’t know why. They trust me right? I know they do! So why won’t they let me hold it? Why?? I just… AUGHHH! I don’t know! I don’t know anything! Can someone help?? Or give advice?? Anything. Please.”

Story info:

This takes places about a couple of months after season two, Jesse and Petra left Beacontown and have been adventuring. They found something they thought was entirely useless but it turns out it's not. And Jesse's about to discover what it's like to be possessed.

Jesstra is an end goal for this, but rn it's like this: Jesse has had a crush on Petra for years, Petra is just now realizing she has a crush on Jesse. Because demi romantic Petra for life babyyyy WOOO -

summary || a love story about independence vs interdependence, and battling self-worth issues as the top student is framed for bullying his deaf classmate, and must find a way to overcome his flaws in order to prove that he is not a bad person. based off of the hc that jesse lost some of his hearing after the formidi-bombs explosion.

World

Beacon High School is a school filled with students of all different ability and culture. The students of Beacon High School are full of life and believe that everyone should be given equal opportunity, regardless of their backstory.

In this AU, characters from Minecraft: Story Mode take the roles of teachers and students attending this school. Romeo is the headmaster, Xara is the deputy head, Gordon/The Warden is the school secretary, and the Old Order of the Stone are teachers of the different subjects. The new Order of the Stone, the Blaze Rods, the Beacontown townsfolk will be taking the role of the students. The main cast are in Year 12/11th grade, making them 16-17 years old.

In this AU, female Jesse and male Jesse are twin siblings rather than gendered counterparts. Female Jesse is referred to as ‘Jessica’ while male Jesse keeps his name. Ivor and Harper serve as the twins’ father and step mother respectively. Additionally, Jack and Nurm serve as Petra’s adoptive fathers and Soren is a father figure to the Jesse twins, as the ex-husband of their father and one of their primary carers during their childhood.

The plot of this AU focusses on the undertones of the perfect child, Lukas, and how the maltreatment of a child detriments them in their later lives. In the beginning of their academic year these unlikely group of students are sardined together into Mr. Soren’s form group, and then Jesse becomes the target of the Ocelot’s bullying. Lukas’ reputation, despite being the only one who spited the idea of bullying Jesse and abstained, takes the hit for it, and Lukas resolves to regain the trust of Jesse, who had captured his attention. However, now people are standing in his way, and he must face all the worst things about himself for Jesse’s sake.

Jesse’s information

Aged 16. When Jesse was a child, he was involved in a freak accident which damaged his ears and is now medically recognised as deaf, meaning that he has little hearing ability. Jesse was left with some residual hearing after his accident, however this is not a lot and is severely muffled by white noise and tinnitus. It has to be a pretty loud sound in order for Jesse to interpret it, which is why Jesse uses hearing aids to amplify these sound waves to interpret them easier. As a statement yes these hearing aids are worn on his own volition, and in no way a refusal of his right to exist as a deaf person.

Jesse has the ability to speak, as he had learnt how to speak fluently prior to the accident. However, he often prefers non-verbal communication in sign language (most likely to be ASL considering MC:SM would probably be produced somewhere near the USA) as reading lips is only about 30% successful and with the amount of straining he has to do to hear often leaves him feeling fatigued. He feels he is only able to hold conversations with two people max, ergo he tends to hang out in small groups. When Jesse does speak, it is comprehensible and near perfect, though very soft and uncertain.

Jesse’s deafness is not exclusively limited to his hearing loss. There are other side effect that come with his deafness due to the injury in his middle and inner ear. Jesse is constantly seen tripping over, and this is for two reasons; the first reason being that the inner ear damage has caused problems with his balance, and the second is that having to focus so intently on the sounds around him interfered with his ability to walk around carefully. He is also more prone to headaches as a result of his chronic tinnitus, which makes getting rest significantly harder for him than for others.

Jesse reacts more violently to his other senses as a result of losing his sense of hearing. This is why Jesse is often more uncomfortable to scents, and responds to touch more than the average person might.

Jesse’s auditorial challenge posed him some troubles in his life, as it interfered with his way to communicate with a hearing world. Because of this, Jesse was frequently misinterpreted by his classmates and became a victim of ostracism and bullying. Despite this, Jesse has always kept a positive outlook on life, happy to be alive and accepting that his deafness is a part of who he is, and it’s other people that are the problem. Even if his immediate family does not agree with this way of thinking, and are very protective of him and how others treat him.

Jesse is a sweet and compassionate person with an easy going attitude. He is shown to be very forgiving even if it other people would have refused their apology, if they are expressing sincere regret towards their actions. He doesn’t feel that it is necessary for people to treat him differently to others because of his auditorial challenge since he is just as well off as everyone else- his grades are decent and he is able to fluently understand 3 languages (English, Spanish and ASL), so he is quick to dismiss any feelings of pity or concern towards him by projecting the more positive parts of his personality. 

Lukas’ information

Aged 16.

Lukas is the concept of a perfect child. He is polite, respectful and selfless, and is often relied on by students and teachers with his willing he is to help them in his own free time. Additionally, he is academically smart and athletic (notably strong considering he practices archery) which emphasises the positive traits about himself. He is very diplomatic and does not hold people to their old selves, believing that everyone deserves a chance to be happy.

Because of these high expectations placed upon him by other people, Lukas often does not think he is good enough. In his eyes, he is inadequate, and thus he often does not do good things for himself and busies himself with the wellbeing of others, making him very generous. Much unlike Jesse, he internalises and blames himself for the things that happen to himself, rationalising it saying ‘if I had done…instead’. Lukas does not hold grudges towards people, most notably his mother, who he loves quite dearly despite Petra’s family thinking she is cruel. His perfect façade seems to hide his deep insecurities, and it means he treats people politely even if they don’t deserve it.

Lukas was born into a wealthy family, and he really didn’t enjoy it. His father was frequently working and so his mother was the primary carer of him, and she had her twisted beliefs on life. Despite being supportive and nurturing his academic life, Lukas’ mother is manipulative and controlling, and Lukas often feels guilted into abiding by what she wants for him, micromanaging his life and being told that some harmless things he wants to do are way worse comparatively given who he is. This conditioning meant that Lukas had felt powerless and without a sense of self, following what his family wanted for him.

Throughout his life, Lukas has always been academically gifted. He had been moulded into a perfectionistic child, which is why his feelings of inadequacy hit so much harder. Lukas had began to push himself beyond his limits just because his mother was compelling him to, even if she had a pretence of worry towards his health. For a while he had been feeling completely isolated, even if he was the boy that everyone wished they could be.

Lukas didn’t want any of that. He didn’t care about being popular or desirable, he wanted to be a writer. But other plans had been put in place for his future.

Lukas had befriended the Ocelots after saving them from their bullies. He had been surprised when they had looked up to him like a leader— in the most sense, he wanted to be their equal and he wanted to be their friend. Although he did take on a lot of leader like qualities, teaching them alternatives to coping with their stress which are not harmful to themselves. Despite Lukas convincing his mother that the Ocelots were good people, she was still hesitant and suspicious of them, wanting rid of them but having no reason to remove them from Lukas’ life at that moment.

I enjoy mixing my favorite fandoms together once in a while. So I got to thinking:

Who would have a SEKAI in the YGO universe? Specifically, the first 3 (DM, Gx, and 5Ds) because those are the only ones I know well enough.

When it comes to DM, I think Yugi, Joey, Tristan, and Tea would have a SEKAI together. I can see it looking like the Kame Gameshop. It would be confusing at first, but they'd get over it quickly. In terms of starting VS, there's Miku (obviously), but I like to think Len would be their 2nd VS.

Seto and Mokuba also have a SEKAI, but much like Tsukasa, they took years to realize it and find their true feelings. Of the two, Mokuba is the one most likely to enter, enjoying Miku's and MEIKO's company. Seto? He doesn't want to admit anything about it. That he enjoys talking with MEIKO. That he likes seeing Mokuba enjoy himself. That he and his brother created a world with their emotions. He'll visit, but it's less often. In my mind, their SEKAI is just, home. A house. Not a mansion or an apartment. A house with a yard.

Ryou and Marik are in the same boat in the case they made their SEKAIs on their own. The difference is that Ryou believed his SEKAI was a place of sanctuary. He could go there to escape Yami Bakura, even if it was just him pretending he could. Marik saw his SEKAI as another tomb. Another place where he'd be trapped. He knew of it, but didn't visit it until well after BC. I can see Marik's SEKAI being based on the desert. But I also think his SEKAI would have something related to escaping. Ryou, on the other hand, would have his SEKAI be a place where he could, possibly, feel safe and protected. A place where evil could be warded off: a church.

Marik would start off with Miku and Luka, while Ryou would have Miku, Rin and KAITO.

Onto GX, I don't see much for group SEKAIs. I actually only see two characters making a SEKAI.

I think the first ones to make a SEKAI would be Aster and Jaden, both having made them as kids.

I honestly don't know what their SEKAIs would be, but one or both could have a hero theme going on. And as things progress, I can see their SEKAIs drastically changing, especially Jaden's after he fuses with Yubel.

Aster wanted to invite Sartorious and Serena to his, but could never find the right time to tell them. And after the while Society of Light fiasco, he's more hesitant to invite them. He will, eventually, but he has to be sure his little sanctuary would still be safe.

Jaden, on the other hand, would immediately invite as many of his friends as he can. Some, like Syrus and Alexis, visit more often than others, like Chazz and Bastion.

And while I said I only see 2 characters making a SEKAI, I believe Jesse would have been capable of making a SEKAI, but he would more likely find a place within Jaden's, so...

5Ds is where I think things would get interesting.

Yusei, Jack, Crow, and Kalin all created a SEKAI together, however after Kalin was arrested and Jack stole Yusei's D-Wheel, it got pretty much abandoned. Neither Yusei or Crow wanted to enter a place that was made by all of their emotions.

Yusei would eventually return to it. Wondering if it's still the same. If there would be anything left. Would Miku and the others hate him for leaving? For abandoning them. He's changed. He's grown up. He and his friends made up. But they've all changed.

And for all that he did change, growing up, getting arrested, becoming a signer, etc., upon returning to SEKAI he was greeted with a warm "welcome back, Yusei-kun."

They weren't mad. They didn't hate him. They just...missed him.

Maybe one day, Jack, Crow, and Kalin would return as well. Maybe one day Yusei will invite the rest of his friends to visit this special place. But for now, he has years of missed visits to make up for.

Intresting choice, don't think I've seen this one before.. at least.. not a lot? I can't remember well but I think I've seen it like once... oh no wait. Nevermind, I've seen some actually :D

My honest opinion, I think it's a lot more healthier and has more ways they can meet and form a bond. Though, I'm a good fan of Radar x PAMA or Aiden too.

Nell and Radar has the opposite vibes? Well, after the Underneath, Radar gets more energy too and.. that also works out pretty well. I think they'd be cute together. Okay so I FINALLY got around to playing season 2 of minceraft story mode and … Literally everyone who thought it was bad WHATTT?? like yea, there were plot issues and some really common tropes but it was good??? Like, I’m kinda crying at the ending good? (Although I do cry at a lot of stuff so…)

Maybe have some nostalgia since I played it as a kid, but I really think this game was worth playing (not at full price tho, jesus) but watching a play though on YouTube at least? DEF worth it.

Jesse was great as usual, some choices gave me some laughs, and his generally she was fun (mostly, some parts of the firsts chapters really pissed me off) I really enjoyed all most of the characters, def missed Lukas a lot of the characters who didn’t really show up in this season, but actually came to enjoy the new characters quite a lot. Radar was quite tropey in his characters, but I still found him fun, and Stella was pretty annoying interesting (Luna was fun at least) Jack uhh… Fine ig? Nurm was great, got some chuckles… Everyone else is kind of a spoiler, but absolutely love what they did with the main villain in the end! (Other than the superhero/shounen-esque battle, could’ve used more power of friendship.) I always have been a sucker for sympathetic villains, so I guess that kind of makes sense for me…

And yannow what, Petra actually came around for me at the end of season 2! At the beginning I thought she was just going through a similar arc to Aiden, but those final conversations with her were just so perfect, really finished her character well. (Still not sold on Jack tho, well at least I didn’t get him killed?)

And maybe it’s because I didn’t watch many teen dramas or school based shows as a kids, but I really REALLY enjoyed the kind of ‘moral of the story’ at the end, where it’s okay to say goodbyes, cause life moves on… going in my ‘good morals from good games folder’

I know that there probably won’t be any more official content since no one really plays it anymore (and everything else), but that ain’t gonna stop me hyperfixation over it for an unhealthy amount of time!

- Takes up mentoring Radar in F!Jesse's absence

- He writes to her and Petra often about how things are going in town

- The new Ocelots don't disband, but with so many members, Lukas starts running it like a guild.

- He builds a little guild hall in town for people to submit requests to and for members to take them. Probably helps take a load off of Radar's shoulders as the current Hero in Resident

- Either stays with Radar or Jack and Nurm during long stays, his house out of town still stands. He's home less often. Eventually he'll possibly make a little apartment either on top of or behind the guild hall. Maybe.

- Helps in managing Beacon Town

- Surprisingly takes leading the Ocelots and helping with Beacon Town pretty well, despite his independent nature.

- The Ocelots guild gains some notoriety outside of town, and they begin getting long distance requests via traders dropping them off at the Guild Hall. Possible adventure?

- He's not sure how to feel about Jesse's brother at first. It's kind of weird having a near carbon copy of one of your best friends with the exact same name.

- Observes the little man for quite a while. He slowly becomes more comfortable with him. Its like Jesse and Lukas got reversed from S1

- Allows him to live in his house on one of his couches. Dewey doesn't like him for QUITE a while.

- Enjoys having another parental force for Radar. Single parenting the hyperactive young adult could be a nightmare on his own some days.

- Having Jesse around allows him to write a bit more often.

- Totally diaries about the man and his eventual acceptance of him into his life.... and eventual feelings. Because you know it's gonna happen eventually. LMAO

JESSE DOS MINECRAFT

- Was living out in a little village far from Beacon Town on the world's edge before his sister called him to town.

- He's never been in Beacon Town before, and is slightly overwhelmed by it at first. He quickly learns to settle in however.

- Bro is covered in scars, some you'd wonder how he even got.

- A little more blunt and reckless than his sister, but to be fair, he hasn't really seen anything she has other than the Wither Storm.

- Speaking of, he's spooked by dreams of the Wither Storm. He only ever saw the beast when it was split in three.

- After the Wither Storm was defeated a second time, he attempted to return home. It was entirely destroyed. Not a single thing was left. So he set off to find somewhere else.

- A small town, practically just the size of a village, to the far east is where he finally settles down. He helps out with basically everything in an attempt to earn his keep.

- He's initially skeptical about returning to the resting grounds of the beast, but immediately forgets upon arriving (mostly due to being entirely overwhelmed by the two towns now residing there LMAO)

- He IS amazing by how they were able to bring life back to the entirely barren wasteland the monster left in it's path. Proud of his sister's great job assisting in building the place back up.

- A little put off by Radar's immense energy at first, but comes to enjoy the lil fella.

- Lukas... man. He's got no words. Insanely curious about the blonde.

- Enjoys the stroll from Lukas' house to Beacon Town. He'd probably go insane living in the town itself. He occasionally stays with him and Radar when needed.

- Starts stealing Lukas' bed at night after they've gotten comfortable with each other. Though, admittedly, he got comfortable quicker knowing this man was a friend of his sister.

Thank you so much for asking! I'll be covering the overall comic im making and the ideas i have in stored for it. ive been collecting ideas and things that others like for the past couple of years and putting it into this comic, but anyways! 

My MCSM epilogue AU is focused on the aftermath of season 2 and picking it up where it left off with my little twist as well with the fandoms likings of headcannons. In this series, Jesse is still being controlled by the gauntlet dispite it not being under romeos control nor on Jesses hand, the gauntlet has its own thoughts and is being controlled by the idea of adminizing Jesse. Throughout the series, youll be able to see him slowly become into one, there will be betrayal, friendship, and romance (not heavy based)

Using the Radar arc focuses on betrayal and friendship.

it consists of Jesse trying to figure out weither or not he has done the right decision for not convincing Petra to stay at Beacontown. Upset at himself, he beings infuriated, wanting to see Petra to at least "convince" to her. throughout the arc, Jesse slowly turns into an admin without knowing that he is (except for the way he acts). Jesse becomes weary of the people around him and isolated himself, radar being the only source of the outside. not trying to be removed as his intern, he would become angry at anyone who wont follow under Jesse. Jesse opens up to Radar more snd more, talking about Lukas which goes into the second arc

The gauntlet is the source of Jesses admin powers but why is that? The gauntlet never left Jesses side, it remains under his skin, slowly taking him over and making him into an Admin slowly.

Jesses true nature begins to arise and most catch. of course except for Radar, still loyal and not giving up. Since the isolation, Jesse gets tired and sends an invite to Lukas to help him convince Petra.

Remember how the Prismarine Colossus in The Terminal Zone went berserk after Romeo lost his powers? What if a similar thing happens to Jesse. Without Romeo's powers keeping him (at least most of the time) in control, Jesse just thrashes around in a fury. Petra, Lukas, Radar, Jack and (if he survives in this au) Romeo, finally exit the terminal zone, only to hear a series of crashes and thuds in the tower. When they investigate, Jesse's Prismarine Statue form is thrashing around, throwing any items he can grab, destroying furniture with his axe, and smacking his body, especially his hand, into walls.

What's going on here is that Jesse is now awake but he's conflicting with the armor, which only wants to attack and destroy. All Jesse can do is direct its fury to anything else that wouldn't potentially harm anyone. The reason it punches the walls is because Jesse is attempting to break the gauntlet, this also works to redirect its fury.

Now everyone there has to try and find a way to calm Jesse, or at least slow him down long enough to break the gauntlet itself and by extension, the armor.

I'd imagine breaking the gauntlet is still a hard task, even if Jesse is completely still. The gauntlet itself has Curse Of Binding and Unbreaking, making it impossible to remove through normal means. The group even considers amputating Jesse's arm as a last resort if they cannot remove the gauntlet.

It takes a while, but they do eventually get the armor off him. the gauntlet itself acts as some sort of power source for the armor, making it hard to break and hard to kill, with the exception of the weak point on the head, which everyone avoids.

Breaking or removing the gauntlet stops the armor and makes it fragile enough to break with tools.

Once freed, Jesse collapses, shaking as he observes himself, fully aware for the first time in several weeks, possibly even months, he's able to move again at his own will. Able to think, he no longer feels like everything around him is a threat.

He's back

But then the realization sets in. For weeks, he felt threatened and for weeks he was attacking anything, anyone he encountered... Even the people of Beacon Town... The very people he vowed to protect...

It hits him all at once. Jesse tries to apologize, but Petra pulls him into a hug, assuring him that it wasn't his fault. It isn't long before everyone else joins the hug

The only one who doesn't join the hug is Romeo, who simply stays back

He knows he's responsible for Jesse being trapped like that. And he feels he shouldn't even be there for that reunion. That hug is for Jesse and his friends

i havve been in þe mcsm fandom for 6 monþs. ive been obsessed w jesstra for 6 monþs. ive noticed people around me change interests MUKTIOLE times but im stuck in mcsm but heu þats not what i need to say

AHEM. this will be long.... yap incoming. jesstra. analysis. jesstra clicking in your head after an excruciatingly long explanation, wiþ þe satisfaction of knowledge after. it's yours to read... only if you have an hour of freetime

im replaying s1 on my switch- got it for christmas, im collecting new info- as you do. finished ep4.... and questions hit me like WATERFALL. why in þe world does petra say hello to jesse first, aswell as say "your gang" n stuff? what is þeir history? þeir history as friends isnt close eiþer, þough, considering how jesse gets super giddy about even seeing petra (synonymous to petra being excited over jack but shh later). þough, petra exclusively trusts jesse over everyone else if you save her from þe witherstorm (wouldn't know about amnesia petra, because i cant faþom playing 2 episodes without petra). and þen when lukas realizes, petra still only really prefers to trust jesse..... AND WHY????? like . þeres no reason for her to be open about it at all to jesse. jesse becomes essentially þe grouo leader by general consensus ig but also like lukas is tryna be 2nd leader and kinda bitches about it (sorry lukas s1 enjoyers. switch remake made him mean) and she confides in lukas þen ig???? but also shes not þe one to listen to leaders. petra is almost exclusively shown as a loner in þe first 4 episodes, hiding absolutely anyþing she þinks would make her look weak. AND WHY WOULD SHE LET GO OF SOME GUARD NEAR JESSE????? like i need to know. i do. "oh yeah let me be honest with the dork over þere" LIKE EXCUSE ME I WANT ANSWERS!!!

alas. moving on! ep5 when jesse and gang are adventuring to þe temple ivor tipped, petra once again confides in jesse, mentioning how she's still getting used to friendships and having people worry about her. and yet she smiles, knowing jesse is þere, appreciating her existence ISNSKDKDDK i þink þis is when petra starts falling for jesse ngl. like. petea originally pulling jesse off to þe side to show wither sickness is secretive and a skittish topic for her- alþo mentioning her worry about it- compared to her more expressive self as she bares armor and a sword laced with deaþ. not to mention þe "warrior whip" move þey do later on which will start a new paragraph.

what do we know about prior-e1? dumbfoundingly noþing aside from s2 lore. between ep4 and ep5, we actually know more þan one may consider. þink about it; þe gang just defeats a witherstorm and find beacontown to reside in. (still unsure of how in ep4 þey just Have A Town Now And Jesse Leads It but sure.) þe gang- enjoying spending time togeþer and looking to further þeir heroic ways- begin training for adventures. we know þis because each friend of jesse has þeir own duo move, showing coordination. no coordination in þe world was shown in the disaster prior likw þis!!! aside from lukas being hella good w a bow tho and ofc petra always leading in combat. safe to say, þey had to train w eachoþer for þis!!! combat skills dont happen overnight or during super stressful world ending situations. like, yeah sure, maybe jesse got better at combat gradually þrough s1 (its a literal mechanic; she swings faster the latter episodes!) but ep5 combat just feels so.. fresh. and esp considering s2 combat being so nice and fluid, she definitely consistently trains w people. but wait, you dare say. how does þis relate to jesstra???

well. guess who knows up-close combat? petra. guess who has a sudden jump from "i feel terrible yucky because people care about me" to "maybe having a friend or two is fun!"? petra (only when youre killing þe witherstorm does petra show true honesty, not gonna lie. she admits her weakness and does nothing. þen is happy to be alive when she's. well. alive bur its short ngl) SO I DARE ASK!!! how would she be friendly w jesse?

þey trained togeþer, awaiting adventures...... and þinking of nibo fanfic snippets i þink þe two would've had quite a few more intimate moments where jesse is learning how to dodge and roll and petra can admire jesse without her vision shaking from withersickness (she mention's it :3). like imagine a training montage but þe longer frames is like,, petra holding jesse by þe waist correcting her fighting stance eeehhehe NOW DO YIU SEE???? its falling into place!

now cut back to ep5, in þe temple. jesse and petra talking. suddenly ir makes sense- petra appreciates jesse for being tbere as a friend and also for þeir time just generally spent togeþer! and as þey travel þrough þe portals, jesse and petra see þe bad sides of eachoþer- but also have an undying care for eachoþer. arguing. near-death. jesse wishing a pama'd petra didnt die. ... can i ask how gay this is?? id say like, maybe 7/10. ywah. BUT THE IMPORTANT PART IS rhey learn sm about eachoþer! þey go þrough hell but as petra puts it, she's still glad to be by jesse's side!!!! and þats what i call inseparable besties!

which is why jesse going w petra in s2 ending makes þe most sense to me. they experience so much togeþer. jesse gets to see petra meet her favorite legend, happy and giddy. realize how far apart þey really drifted. THEN RECONNECT!!!! like hello...þey want eachoþer!! þink about it! between s1 and s2, gang really settles down in þeir lives. jesse, lukas, axel and olivia- rhey all reside in þeir homes, going out less and less often. jesse is þe last to really fizzle out of petra's nonexistent home.

ikay so back to jesstra. when jesse finallay meets w petra, its like a reintroduction almost. not only for player's sake but because its þe truþ- jesse and petra have changed. you can tell immediately, petra þinks of jesse dearly- yet feels like she's being left out. props to her for honesty!!! and þis makes jesse wanna hang out w petra more as to fix that. and ao rhey adventure. and get caught in trouble regarding a gauntlet. and þe season plays and CAN I JUSF SAY IR ALREADY???? þey yearn for eachoþer so bad when times get tough. like. after jesse gets þe gauntlet, þeyre inseparable- not to mention þey BOTH freak out and need to stop themselves from worrying. but also jesse feels left out when petra and jack talk about adventures- petra still doesnt expect jesse to come wiþ. jesse yearning is ON....and my heart is tearing apaet so naturally romeo comes in and makes þem scared shitless AGAIN and þey fight him again and again meanwhile during þis, never wanting to part. i feel þis is because of fear- þey have unsaid worries about eachoþer. þe þought of þe oþer dying already spooks petra at the water temple, so its safe to assume þe latter adventures she would protect jesse from everyþing and anyþing. which she does! actually! whole noþer post but HOO WEE.

and þen þeyre in admin story learning mode and just. jdjsonsaodkdskndk. þey realize þeir lives kind of mirror þe admin's, growing apart (as if þe old oots wasnt enough of a parallel) and petra fears being alone. boþ of þem do. its not very explicit, but jesse does rely on petra. þey immediately find eachoþer in þe ice tower, uhh,, oþer places, and þe jail institution, all þat jazz- so reflecting on þem drifting apart makes one.. cry. and petra does cry, for þe first time, infront of someone, honestly. and jesse is SO ACCEPTING OF THAT. i could gonon foreever about þis but like. HELLO. ITS. YHEYRE SO. THWIR WORLDS REVOLVE AROUND eachoþer AND þey CANT faþom A LIFE WHERE þeir BESTFRIEND IS GONE. AND þat MAKES ME BAWL. þeir relationship is so, so twisted and complex and beautiful. i could talk about it for hours!!! i say typinf about it for .. about 2 hours

I love your champion Petra art so much so I have a fun question: How do you see Romeo convincing Petra (or Jack) to be his champion during their training? Because they were both VERY reluctant to go and I think Romeo would be smart enough to realize that “hmm a willing champion is a better champion so I need to convince them that this is a good thing.” I’m very curious to hear your thoughts. :] Would he offer them something, prey on insecurities, etc?

thank you for asking this... in my universe, petra is champion, so i will focus on her. but i will give my idea for what it was like for jack too.

for petra, romeo would prey on insecurities. petra was the first one to know romeo's name because he said "we're friends now, call me romeo". now when he brought her to the terminal space, he tried to talk with her. though she tried to attack him multiple times he kept trying to convince her... talking about how alike they are, how he had friends once who abandoned him for "their people" just like jesse was abandoning her for beacontown. he tried to make a point about how people in her life just leave her behind but him and petra can be friends forever, and he throws petra into one of her memories as a kid to relive it. petra tries to convince herself he's just messing with her and romeo offers to show her what her friends say about her when she's not around. romeo shows axel and olivia talking about how needy petra is, jesse telling lukas that they feel trapped with her, that theyre afraid to leave her because she's angry and aggressive. jesse telling jack that they'd be more than happy if she left town with him.

and none of this stuff is anything her friends have actually said- romeo again is just making shit up. but petra doesn't know this, she genuinely thinks because romeo is all powerful that he was able to see their conversations and that this is the truth, this is honestly how her friends see her. at this point shes broken over this but not enough to want to be his champion, so romeo is like how do you not get it, your friends dont want you nobody does but me, and he opens a battlefield and turns into jesse and starts talking a bunch of shit and fights her, she knows THIS is just romeo and not the real jesse but it still hurts to hear his words knowing the real jesse honestly thinks this way.

romeo stops the fight because he senses a disturbance in the sunshine institute, so he teleports over and petras by herself. and when he teleports her to the battlefield, shes crying. jesse immediately tries to run over to her to check if she's okay and she thinks he's romeo trying to jump her again so she gets scared and swings at him lol. so thats the background behind that picture. when she realizes its the real jesse, she feels terrible and tries to help him but gets zapped by the gauntlet.

now for jack... if it were him, i think romeo would go with threats. like, if it were jack as soon as romeo shows his face again he'll demand to know what he did with petra. and romeo will be like "oh i just sent her to my inescapable prison" and jack gets pissed off at this and starts going on about how hes not gonna be romeo's champion, how romeo is a monster and he'd rather just be killed than serve him, and romeo's like well okay if that's the attitude you're gonna have then i guess we'll have to try something else. and then shows jack petra and nurm in the sunshine institute, and he's like "if you refuse to become my champion, i will have them killed in front of you" and then jack is like "bullshit" and romeo snaps his fingers and the two of them are zapped a bit and jack is like WOAHHH OKAY OKAY ILL DO IT

now i really prefer the champion petra route because i think its sooo good for the narrative, and in the final battle when romeo tries to make jesse feel guilty about their friendship with petra getting rocky, ITS SO COOL. i love this game and i love making it more dramatic than it already is
