im not a huge Skump shipper but when i think about it i imagine a 20-something years in the future scenario where someone asks Skid if he's in love with Pump, and he's like

"What? No. We're just really good friends. Pump's a great friend, he's always there for me, we've been through so much together, and he's always by my side and- ohmygod im in love with him"

They're very touchy with each other in general methinks, holding hands or tugging on each other's clothes to get their attention!

I said this to @inkandpaintleopard once but sometimes they'll watch shows or play video games together and end up falling asleep cuddling. Lila has pictures of this and she thinks it's the cutest thing

Whenever I think of them romantically I just think of Steven and Connie from Steven Universe- the feelings are there early on, but it's not something either of them act upon, or even really understand as romantic, until they're older

As they get older however they just kinda... seamlessly go into it. Nobody even realizes they're dating until they kiss in public

Their dates range anywhere from watching a horror movie at the theater, breaking into an abandoned house to explore, or going to the graveyard to star gaze

When Susie realizes Pump has feelings for Skid she teases him so much. Same deal for Ross and Skid

Roy has tried to bully them with "what are you, gay?" and they just go "yeah"

When they're adults they get married for tax benefits

Even as they get older Pump still gives Skid rides on his shoulders, and Skid responds by kissing Pump's forehead

They're still spooky as they age and eventually update their costumes with trinkets of the other one (personal favorite idea is bowties in the other's color/a skeleton bowtie for Pump and pumpkin bowtie for Skid)

Skid is still the taller one and he loves laying his head in Pump's fluffy hair <3 (honestly this could work for any age)

When it's class valentines day at school they always make sure to get cards for each other (and then bribe Kevin for spooky-lovely Candy Cans)

One time for his birthday Skid drew Pump a cool drawing of them together and Pump had his grandpa frame it so it'd never be ruined
