Outdoor Power Station opens up a new high-growth track
1. Performance advantages of outdoor power supplies
Outdoor power supply, also known as portable energy storage power supply, full name is Portable Energy Storage (PES), usually refers to backup power supply or emergency power supply that weighs no more than 18kg.
Outdoor power supplies generally have built-in high-energy-density lithium-ion batteries, with long cycle life, light weight and easy portability, and their overall performance is more stable and reliable, and they have the characteristics of easy operation, low noise, and good maintenance, which can better meet outdoor power consumption. Demand.
In addition, the outdoor power supply has a multi-function output interface, AC output, USB output, car charger interface output, users can use in different scenarios, the use experience is more convenient.
Tumblr media
2. Application scenarios of outdoor power supply
The downstream application layer of outdoor power supply is very extensive. In addition to outdoor camping, it also involves flood prevention, medical rescue, outdoor construction, field exploration, offshore operations, mobile booths, outdoor live broadcast, film and television production and other fields. It is used in mountainous areas, pastoral areas, and caravans.
3. Composition and materials of outdoor power supply
The outdoor power supply is an outdoor emergency power supply that is composed of chargers, inverters, storage batteries, isolation transformers, switch switches and other devices to invert DC power into AC power.
Most of the outer shell materials of outdoor power supplies use high-strength engineering plastics, which are not only anti-fall and anti-vibration, but also have strong fire and rain resistance. The internal material is a large-capacity ternary lithium battery pack, which is small in size, light in weight and high in power.
The outer shell of the outdoor power supply is generally made of PC or PC+ABS fire-retardant materials, which are characterized by safety, lightness, high temperature resistance, and effectively avoid electric shock and leakage risks. But compared with metal materials, its hardness is insufficient, so it is easy to scratch.
As the application scenarios of outdoor power supplies become more and more extensive, the requirements for materials are more stringent. The performance tests of materials include salt spray test, double 85 test (1000 hours), low temperature impact test, etc., which require high material performance. .
The general fireproof PC/ABS material sometimes cracks in the outdoor environment, and a weather-resistant material 923X launched by Sabic can solve this problem well. A certain energy storage project done by the world's top 5 solar solution company uses Sabic PC 923X, which is resistant to low temperature, chemical corrosion, fire resistance, and high flow, which can withstand up to 1500 hours of double 85 test and salt spray test At the same time, because it contains siloxane segments, it can better eliminate the internal stress of the product and successfully solve the problem of product shell cracking.
Product unit weight: 4.3kg
Through testing, it is found that Sabic’s PC 923X has better weather resistance and low temperature resistance than standard PCs, and can better meet the long-term outdoor use requirements of the product.
At present, many outdoor power supplies on the market can also be used with solar panels to achieve continuous power supply, so that there is electricity when there is light. In the absence of mains power supply, high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon solar panels can increase the circulating power supply capacity of outdoor power sources, creating a clean, continuous, safe, reliable, and efficient environment-friendly power plan.
4. Market demand and supply of outdoor power supplies
In recent years, the fierce heat of the new energy automobile industry has stimulated the development of lithium batteries, and the production cost of outdoor power sources has been greatly reduced. Energy storage technology represented by lithium batteries has begun to replace bulky fuel generators. With the introduction of the goal of "carbon peak and carbon neutrality" this year, more people are paying attention to low-carbon, environmentally friendly and green travel, and the demand for new outdoor power sources is also rapidly erupting.
In addition, in the context of the tight power supply, power rationing notices have recently been issued in many places across the country, and the topic of "power rationing" and "power outage" has sparked discussion on the Internet. The lighting, heat preservation, and cooking of modern urban life are inseparable from power support. Power outages will directly affect people's daily life. Many families purchase outdoor power supplies for emergency situations, which further drives the market demand for outdoor power supplies.

Choosing the correct fresh paint variety may appear in order to be confusing to start with, however once you have estimated that theme you would likely like to paint your home and sorted out which usually job and what coatings you need, the choice is usually rather easy.
There are actually 2 bases of coloring intended for your house: solvent-based (oil or alkyd) and water-based (latex). Oil-based paints dry out slow - usually taking on to 24 hours. Typically the best cleaning for a oil-based paint is definitely turpentine or paint thin. Acrylic paints' advantage is it dries relatively fast, but it really is actually not desirable in really hot weather or direct sunshine. The top clean up for acrylic chemicals requires just cleansing soap and water. If you decide to are generally painting the inside in your home, it is recommended to be able to use water-based oil-soaked rags, when solvent-based paints usually are proposed for painting the outside of your personal house.
There are various types of chemicals which is either water-based or maybe solvent-based that produces diverse finishes that is scored through its sheen component. "Sheen" is a period used to describe the level of light reflection the shade has. Lesser sheen for any interior or exterior color means it has reduced discoloration resistance.
· The High shine paint is quick to clean and also resists scuffs better. It is perfect for rooms that tend to be regularly used. Most high shine oil-soaked rags are best encouraged to use upon woodworks, baseboards, kitchen along with bathing room walls, doorjambs, in addition to screen casings. The downside regarding using gloss paints, nonetheless is the noticeable defects from the wall surface.
· Any High-gloss paint will be highly echoing and functions well for highlighting specifics, such as trim as well as ornamental molding. They are usually also the best alternative to get doors and cupboard -- or any spot that perceives a excessive volume of abuse.
· Semi-gloss paints are quite comparable to gloss plaints with the exception of it includes lesser sheen. Semi-gloss is usually suitable for areas with high wetness (best used for children's room) and can be employed for trim operates and also casings. These chemicals make certain maximum durability.
· Eggshell paints provide a sleek and low-sheen finish. Chemicals that are smooth along with low-sheen that is best for your spaces, cusine rooms, bedrooms, in addition to play rooms. It is washable as well as ideal for bedrooms, hallways, house offices and household bedrooms.

· Flat paints (matte paints) are non-reflective and often your best option for large wall surfaces along with ceilings. Flat oil-soaked rags covers imperfections on wall membrane areas and spatters effectively throughout application. Flat chemicals work best choice for vinyl fabric in addition to aluminum siding that will is nicked or damaged because it conceals flaws and spatters a lesser amount of any time applied. These oil-soaked rags are generally ideal for low-traffic places for instance formal dining suites as well as master bedrooms.
Particular chemicals have been discovered another means from distinct consumer observations and outstanding paint engineering that allows precise oil-soaked rags for specific demands.
· Ceiling flats were created especially for ceilings. These are typically normally extra spatter-resistant.
· Introduction paints may be oil- or water-based and usually are employed to seal unpainted floors in order to avoid covering coats connected with paint soaking inside. Often the appropriate type of guide needs to be used for typically the surface being coated : wood, metal, plast typer as well as tiles. There are many 'all purpose primers' offered that happen to be designed for a couple of or more of these types of surface types.
· Anti-condensation chemicals bring rooms with wetter situations such as home and restrooms. This fresh paint is usually produced for you to prevent condensation and generally involves fungicide.
· Fire-retardant oil-soaked rags do not reject fires absolutely but the fire-resistance formulation inhibits this from fire throughout growing fast.
It is likewise significant that before painting like a pro your own room, you utilize a primero. A introduction will help coloring stay with to the surface simply by providing any uniform visual appeal. It is a have to to use a 1er if you are art work over new wood, basic wood, drywall, or repainting over existing bright or even dark colors.
But ahead of accomplishing this, you have to help know the condition associated with the surface you actually desired to paint. Regardless regarding whether the beds base coat is usually oil or perhaps latex, a person must dull smooth shade by sanding or maybe de-glossing it with a compound de-glossing product. If an individual don't lifeless glossy color, the second overcoat will certainly streak and not check out the base coat when machine drying.

Smart cladding solutions with aluminum composite sheets
Are you searching for lightweight and sturdy building solutions? Cladding is an integral part of any construction. Be it residential or commercial spaces – cladding is imperative to provide shade and add robustness to the structure. Wooden and metal sheets are some options for cladding the buildings. However, if you are seeking a lasting structure that looks aesthetically appealing and highly durable, ask for an aluminum composite sheet for cladding.
The ACP sheets are gaining popularity in many small to large commercial projects. You invest once on the sheets and then do not have to shell a penny in painting, shading, or electrifying the surface. You can use glass fiber, aramid, and carbon through the lattice to support the front elevation. The features of ACP will surely entice you. Look for the finest ACP sheet cladding services in Bangalore and make a smart building decision.
ACP cladding
ACP = Aluminum Composite Panel. These are cladding options for interior and exterior surfaces. It is a highly durable, weather-resistant, and stain-proof construction option.
The Aluminum Composite Panels are flat. These are a mix of LDPE and aluminum. The panel is a composition of several layers in the form of sheets that unite to form a strong cladding option. It is available in various shapes and sizes to match the different industry requirements. The standard size is 4mm board.
Features of ACP cladding
Easy installation: These are in different shapes and sizes, making them one of the top choices for exterior surface installations. The original panels undergo high temperature and thermos mold technology for melding to the grid or center. The lattice acts as the fastening material between two stands for better support. You may include polyester pitches, vinyl ester tars, and epoxy tars for lattice.
Hassle-free maintenance: Once the cladding installation is over, all you need is to worry about the maintenance. With ACP cladding, it is zero maintenance. You require a duster and no exceptional skill set to clean the dust and debris off the surface.
Budget-friendly option: Aluminum composite panels are one of the most pocket-friendly cladding options for residential and commercial spaces. These are multi-purpose and suit both interior and exterior surfaces.
Fire-proof cladding: With large commercial spaces where safety is of paramount concern, you require fire retardant building solutions. ACP claddings are a protective layer for any unfortunate fire breakouts. These can delay the fire penetration up to 50 minutes, giving some time for evacuation.
Sturdy material: The main feature of the ACP sheet is its durability. Any amount of assaults through heavy rains, snowfall, and UV radiations cannot damage the surface. General metal panels cannot withstand any of the extreme weather damages.
Aesthetic appeal: There are various bright color variations available in ACP sheets. You can go very creative with the range of colors and options to match the overall décor of the spaces. You can either pick a color that matches the inside shade or can contrast to give the building an edgy look.

Production Process and Performance of Color Steel Sandwich Panel Machinery Equipment
https://www.jinggongmachine.com/production-process-and-performance-of-color-steel-sandwich-panel-machinery-equipment.html
Tumblr media
The sandwich panels made of color steel sandwich panel machinery equipment are made up of two layers of color coated steel sheets, bonded with foam or rock wool. The color steel sandwich panel is widely used in the construction of large industrial plants, warehouses, gymnasiums, cold storage and sandwich and other fields because of its excellent performance.
 Its production process and performance are as follows:
 The color steel sandwich panels, produced by the sandwich panel machine line, are made of three layers of material. The outer layer is made of high density color coated steel sheets or aluminum foil on the bottom. The core material is a foam board, rock wool, or glass wool cotton. The coated steel plates and foam (or rock wool) boards are bonded together with thermosetting glue. The outer metal plate can be ordinary steel plate, aluminum plate or galvanized iron plate. The foam (or rock wool) plate is cut into the required thickness, and the adhesive is bonded to the metal plate. Generally, the black or white special glue is used as the adhesive.
 The color steel sandwich panel has the triple functions of heat preservation, waterproof and heat insulation, and it is mainly used for the wall and roof of buildings. Therefore, the quality of the three-layer material of the color steel sandwich panel will directly affect the service life, durability and building safety of the color steel sandwich panel.
 The color steel sandwich panel is a five layer composite material, that is, one steel sheet-rubber-foam(or rock wool) plate-glue-one steel plate. The thickness ratio of each layer is 0.5:0.3:100 (commonly used thickness):0.3:0.5.
 A major feature of color steel sandwich panels is that the connection between panels and panels is filled with foam (or rock wool) plate or soft foam strip, and no cold and hot bridge will appear. The thermal resistance value of color steel sandwich panel is very large, and the thermal conductivity is very small, which is 1/20 of brick.
 From the sound insulation principle, the sound insulation performance of the light density structure is poor. When the sound insulation capacity needs to be improved, other auxiliary measures should be taken, such as filling loose sound-absorbing material in the middle of the double-layer wall, strengthening the assembly gap sealing, etc. From the perspective of fire performance, the color steel sandwich panel produced by the sandwich panel production machinery is composed of two layers of non combustible materials (steel plate) sandwiched with refractory materials, and the oxygen index value of flame retardant rock wool board reaches more than 30.
 The thickness of the outer color coated panel is usually 0.5mm, 0.6mm, 0.75mm, etc., and the thickness of upper and lower surface steel panels is the same. The core board is polystyrene foam, and its thickness is usually 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, 125mm, 150mm, 200mm, etc. The adhesive is used between the color coated steel panel and the core plate, and the thickness of the adhesive is about 0.3mm.

Incredible benefits of metal print photography
Metal prints are premium quality photo prints on metal that allows displaying your favourite photos with the least glare and best vibrancy in color even from a distance. A metal print is made from a three-part composite panel, consisting of two aluminium sheets on another side of a lightweight black plastic core.
The ingenious combination is a secret behind the defining quality of a metal print, although it’s sturdy, It’s still remarkably light. This means that it's all but effortless to move around. It is modern and sophisticated, a perfect art piece for aesthetic décor. Unlike eagles canvas wall art, personalized metal print uses a different technique to print your precious memories. It involves a unique process called dye-sublimation. It gives a contemporary sense to a modern or rustic surrounding, controlling the mood of the photo you pair with. Here we will discuss the pros of metal print photography.
1: No frame insight
Because metal prints are waterproof, they don’t need to be protected under glass.  The metal print has an insert aluminium frame mounted out of view on the back and this support the picture hanging wire and floats the photo from the wall. The lightness of the aluminium, and the simplicity of the mounting wire, make metal prints easy and stress-free.
2: Waterproof or water-resistant
A metal print is water-resistant and washable with any household cleaner. No worry about water damage or weird stains. Wash it, grease it, brush it, no worries because it is entirely waterproof. You can display them outside though it is best to keep them out of direct sunlight. If you are planning for a personalized metal print, you never really have to worry about cleaning it.
3: Hold up against heat
If a fire were to occur on your premises, it could have devastating consequences. But Buy metal prints, they are fire retardant. And even if you are in an area where there is often high temperatures, they won’t get damaged by the heat. That makes them an ideal printing format for a variety of high heat applications.
4: Glossy finish and bold color
Metal prints look more natural in modern or contemporary interiors. Their chick modern look and feel make them very popular with the young and progressive crowd. Due to the high glossy finish and ball colour they would fit well in interiors with simple clean for Nations and nice polish surfaces. A black and white animal photography look great on metal.
Metal prints are tried and tested way to bring out the best in your photos and give your living space that effortless stamp of luxury. It’s an investment you won’t regret.

House built from 100 different plant-based materials unveiled at Dutch Design Week
Eco-design studio Biobased Creations has built a showhome almost entirely from biomaterials including wood, mycelium, seaweed, straw and vegetable fibres as well as earth and sewage.
Unveiled at Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven this week, the house showcases 100 different plant-based or natural materials that are either commercially available already or coming to market soon.
The house is built from 100 different natural materials
The only non-bio materials in the timber-framed house are metal screw fixings and glass windows.
"We used 100 bio-based materials because we wanted to show what is possible," explained Biobased Creations co-founder Lucas De Man. "It's an exhibition in the shape of a house."
It showcases 100 different biomaterials, including earth, plants and fungi
The project is called The Exploded View Beyond Building, although Dutch Design Week calls it The Embassy of Circular and Biobased Building.
The designers' aim is to show how eco-materials can be used in the construction of ordinary homes. All the materials used are listed on the projects' website.
Materials include lime plaster coloured with algae and an algae textile screen
The house, which features a modular design, was mostly built in a factory. It has a layout based on a standard grid so it could become a template for a variety of different house designs.
"If we want to build a million houses here in Holland in the next 10 years, then the design has to be scalable," said De Man. "So it has to come from the factory and it has to be sustainable."
The bathroom exterior tiles are 3D printed from sewage sludge and algae
"Some people think it's too expensive to be modular and sustainable, but it's actually cheaper," he told Dezeen. "Non-sustainable modular is way more expensive."
The building, which has been erected at Eindhoven's Strijp-S district for the duration of Dutch Design Week, is also designed to be circular.
The structural timber frame is demountable so the house could be relocated or recycled in the future.
The toilet is framed by a 3D printed wall of filtered sewage residue
Biomaterials provide surfaces both inside and outside the house.
They cover walls, floors and ceilings, and are also used for furnishings including tableware and bedding.
Read:
Ten tactile interiors that make use of natural biomaterials
These materials are presented in different categories relating to their material properties.
The bathroom features materials made from waste, with examples including blue wall tiles made from sewage and algae, and a compost toilet framed by a wall of 3D-printed sewage sludge.
Tableware is made from food products including eggs and oyster shells
The kitchen showcases materials made from food and plants and includes tableware made from plants and food waste including plates made from eggshells and beakers from 3D-printed seaweed.
The ceiling is a material made from flowers, the walls are lined with grass and the door is clad in Totomoxtle, a wood veneer that promotes biodiversity because it is made from heirloom corn species.
Linen coloured with waste from the metal industry is hung on the wall in the kitchen
Upstairs, elements on display include insulation made from reeds, seaweed wall tiles, acoustic wall panelling made from bioplastic and a bed made from natural rubber and linen.
There's also a whole room dedicated to products derived from bacteria and fungus. Mycelium is used to create wall tiles, insulation and a composite flooring.
A wall of mycelium tiles is fire-retardant and water-resistant
This material is one that both De Man and Pascal Leboucq, lead designer for Biobased Creations, were already familiar with. The pair previously worked on The Growing Pavilion, a mycelium structure presented at Dutch Design Week in 2019.
"We're going to solve a lot of problems by reinventing bacteria," said De Man. "In Holland, they are now making bacteria that can eat plastic and give back oxygen."
The bed combines a natural rubber mattress with linen fabric
An air filtration system integrates plants and nutshells while rainwater is harvested and reused. The house also features six different roof types, including two types of green roof and paving that absorbs rainwater.
De Man hopes the project will show that biomaterials are a viable option for new housing developments.
"When we built The Growing Pavilion two years ago, a lot of people said it was too futuristic. This time we've created a house that is realistic and scaleable."
Straw cladding is used on the outside of the house
The house is on show for the duration of Dutch Design Week. After that it will be demounted and reassembled at the Floriade Expo, a horticultural exhibition taking place in 2022.
Dutch Design Week runs from 16 to 24 October 2021 at venues across Eindhoven. See Dezeen Events Guide for an up-to-date list of architecture and design events taking place around the world.
Photography is by Oscar Vinck and Jeroenvander Wielen.

What are the potential future applications of fly ash reuse?
Across the globe, countries that have presence in coal based plants, and therefore have huge coal ash production, are expressing interest in extracting value out of this potential gold “dust” mine, instead of just dumping it in landfills. India, which ranks 4th in the world in coal ash production, may possibly quadruple the quantum is fly ash generated when it switches to super critical technologies for thermal power. With that situation looming large in our near future, it is critical that countries fast track research on fly ashes utilisation.
Eventually, the choice for finding innovative uses for fly-ashes wins out in the end because not only does one minimize the harsh impact of fly ashes on the soil and ground water, but also helps in recycling an existing, and abundantly available resource that brings commercial benefits too.
Here are some of the ways that countries have found used Of fly ashes :
The use of one tonne of fly ashes replacement in cement production typically saves one tonne of CO2. Perhaps the most important advantage for cement firms, though, is that fly ash is about one-third the price of cement – which is why some cement companies and power plants have entered into joint venture projects to recover fly ash.
A team from the UWC University in South Africa has been trying to completely replace cement with fly ash. Their aim is to create a prototype that can turn fly ash lower-cost roof tiles, bricks, paving stones, building elements like lintels, fire-retardant panels and insulation material, which could offer important solutions in low-cost housing to replace chipboard and gypsum board, or so-called drywall, which are highly flammable. This way, construction material will become cheaper and also result in huge energy savings.
One research from an agricultural university indicates that they have found that a certain composition of fly ash effectively increases yield of some crops and in reclaiming fallow land.
Universities and laboratories in India, South Africa, the USA and Australia etc. alike have been running funded research experiments for extraction of desirable rare earth metals from coal ash like Alumina, Vanadium etc. ‘Beneficiation’ is a term that refers to the process by which carbon is removed from fly ash to produce a higher-value material. Power plants can increase their revenue stream by adding the beneficiation step to their ash handling process.
In South Africa, CSIR researchers are converting fly ash, a by-product of the South African pulp and paper industry, into heat-resistant geo-polymers that can be used in the protection of metal surfaces against high temperatures in furnaces or kilns. The conversion of fly ash into valuable products such as heat resistant geo-polymers offers alternative options that could help the pulp and paper industry to reduce its environmental footprint and waste management costs.
In summary, it does seem that identifying applications of coal ash re-use will be extremely beneficial, offering an enhanced revenue stream for power plants and also be a means of significantly decreasing the carbon footprint.

The Toughest Plastics in Construction!
Did you know that the construction sector is the second highest user of plastic after packaging? You don’t really to expect to find plastic in your home or in the building where you work. Yet various types of plastics are being used in the construction industry, from PVC for pipes and conduit, to flute board for waterproofing barriers.
Plastics are used widely in the construction industry due to a range of benefits they provide, such as excellent strength to weight ratio, reduced costs, low maintenance, and corrosion resistance among others. The main areas of application for plastics are piping, cladding and profiles, insulation, seals and gaskets, and base for adhesives and sealants.
In the last years, recycled plastic materials have started to represent an increasing percentage of overall production of plastic for construction, helping to solve the global problem of the disposal of plastics.
Plastic Materials Used in Construction
A large variety of plastics are used in construction, with the most popular being the following:
Flute Board
Flute board, also known as fluted polypropylene. This product is a hollowed fluted plastic board made from polypropylene. One of its versions is print grade flute board, which is specifically developed to meet the needs of print and signage companies for various digital printing and laminating processes. Packing grade flute board, on the other hand, is used for surface protection, packaging, and concrete forming.
Advantages of flute board include:
-          Fully recyclable;
-          Lightweight material;
-          Resistant to water, chemicals, and impact;
-          Low price and durability;
-          Easy to print on;
-          Having improved UV resistance which makes it suitable for outdoor applications.
Flute board is used as floor protection on building sites, for reinforcing and insulating layers, for knockdown boxes, and for point-of-sale displays.
Corrugated Flute Board
Corrugated flute board is actually called twin wall polypropylene sheeting. This type of material can be cut to size to obtain products that are both strong and durable.
Main benefits of corrugated flute board are:
-          Non-toxic;
-          High impact resistant;
-          Hygienic;
-          Water resistant;
-          Chemical resistant;
-          Weatherproof;
-          100% recyclable.
Typical applications for corrugated flute board include: signage, display stands, packaging, surfaces, and protection.
Acrylic Cut-to-Size
Acrylic sheet cut-to-size represents a large part of the market share in the construction industry. Acrylic is known under various different brand names and is found in multiple forms, such as clear Perspex sheet cut to size. It is a versatile, transparent thermoplastic, with excellent optical properties and resilience to impact and scratch. Unlike glass, it conducts light better and shatters into large, dull parts in case of large impact.
Properties that make acrylic sheet cut to size the perfect option for applications such as roofing and greenhouse construction are:
-          Flexibility and elongation;
-          Carbonation resistance;
-          Environmental friendliness;
-          Stability to ultraviolet radiation;
-          Excellent adhesion.
Composites
A composite material is a one which is composed of two or more different materials. Joining these materials together produces a unique finished product that boasts different material properties to those that each material began with.
Advantages of plastic composite materials such as Kevlar, PVC polyester, FRP (fibre-reinforced polymer) and other such materials are:
-          Improved resistance and durability;
-          Can be made fire resistant;
-          Low maintenance;
-          Lightweight composition;
-          Availability in different colours, textures, and shapes.
One of the latest trends in the construction sector is represented by biocomposites, an important part of the green building movement. They enable the construction of green buildings, which are environmentally friendly, healthy to live and work in, and economically viable.
Polycarbonate
Polycarbonate or PC is an amorphous thermoplastic which is naturally transparent. Main reasons why polycarbonate is being used in construction include:
-          Flexibility
PC can be formed into multiple shapes and structures.
-          Withstanding shock and fracture
Polycarbonate sheets have a higher impact resistance compared to glass. This makes PC easier to transport and install. It does not become brittle with age, enabling constructors to avoid high maintenance and repair costs.
-          Two times lighter than glass
Polycarbonate lowers construction costs as it weighs less than glass, reducing the size of foundations and structural members.
-          Excellent insulating properties
Polycarbonate is a popular choice for cladding and roofing, with multiwall PC sheets doing even a better job at improving thermal performance as it creates additional air pockets around buildings.
-          Light transmittance
Forget about yellowing and hazed plastic, which happens with GRP. PC sheeting is treated with UV protection to extend its life and reduce glare.
PVC
PVC (abbreviation for polyvinyl chloride) accounts for approximately 20% of all plastic manufactured around the world.
There are two main types of PVC: rigid and flexible. Rigid PVC is intrinsic flame retardant offers good electrical insulation and vapor barrier properties, but becomes brittle at 5°C (when not modified with impact modifiers and/or processing aids). Flexible PVC is easier to process than rigid PVC and has good resistance to corrosive inorganic chemicals. Disadvantages include that it tends to degrade at high temperatures and its properties can change in time because of plasticiser migration.
PVC applications include: window and door profiles, pipes, fittings, wiring and cables, internal and external cladding, ducting, flooring, roofing membranes, and wall coverings.
Polypropylene
Polypropylene is a synthetic textile material originally developed by the American corporation Phillips Petroleum in 1951.
Its properties include:
-          Chemically inert;
-          Mould resistant;
-          Heat resistant;
-          Accepting colour and dye without degrading;
-          Inexpensive;
-          Does not contain bisphenol A.
This material is used in a variety of plastic building materials products that need to withstand heat, fatigue, and shatter, such as carpeting, piping systems, electrical cable insulation, and plastic machine parts.
Polyethylene
Polyethylene is most commonly used in packaging due to properties such as:
-          High ductility;
-          Low friction;
-          Good electrical insulator.
Its two main disadvantages, however, are being no-biodegradable and having a low melting point (around 80 °C).
Common applications of polyethylene in construction include:
-          Protection for materials and sealants;
-          Damp-proof membranes;
-          Lining material for foundations;
-          Concrete protection during the curing process;
-          Temporary flashing material for door and windows.
Expanded Polystyrene
Expanded polystyrene or ESP foam is a lightweight, closed cell insulation providing the following benefits:
-          Resistance to heat flow;
-          Energy efficiency;
-          Strength;
-          Sustainability;
-          Hygienic as it does not encourage the growth of bacteria;
-          Low cost;
-          Being environmentally friendly as it has always been CFC- and HCFC-free.
In the construction industry, expanded polystyrene is mainly used for exterior insulation and finish due to its high energy efficiency. It is also a part of structural insulated panels that can be used to build exterior walls, roofs, ceilings, and floors.
ETFE
ETFE stands for ethylenetetrafluoroethylene and consists of the modified copolymers of ethylene and tetrafluroethylene. It has the appearance of a flexible film, which makes it suitable for curved transparent facades.
Properties of ETFE include:
-          Nor degrading under UV light;
-          Resistant to weather and pollution;
-          Being self-cleaning;
-          East to repair by fixing tears with welding replacement patches;
-          100% recyclable;
-          Its manufacturing process does not require the use of solvents.
Typical uses of ETFE include: covering electrical wiring in conditions of high stress, for wall coverings, being installed as a thermoplastic liner in pipes for corrosion and heat protection, and solar panel applications.
How the Construction Industry Benefits from the Use of Plastics
Plastics have gained a prominent role in constructions near to metal, glass, masonry, and wood due to their immense benefits:
-          Durability
Some plastics can be stronger than certain materials, including metals.
-          Low Cost
Many plastic materials are economical, lowering the costs of construction projects;
-          Recyclable
Some plastics can be recycled completely without losing their properties.
-          Saving Energy
Because plastic consumes less heat than metal, they help with improving the energy efficiency of buildings.

Different Ottawa Roofing Types
Most homeowners in the Canada choose asphalt colors because they are the easiest, cheapest and easiest to find roofs. The most durable types of roofs are slate and clay tiles, but they are more expensive than materials such as metal or wood. Alternatives to functional roofs such as green roofs and solar tiles are among the most expensive. Check more details at Ottawa Roofing Company!
Replacing an old roof is a great and profitable way to invest in a home. Choose the type of roof that suits your home, climate and budget.
Shingles (asphalt, fiberglass, composite)
About 90% of homes in the United States use composite asphalt shingles because they are affordable, durable and easy to install. Asphalt shingles cost only 1. 1.50 to 50 5.50 per square foot or about 8 8,000 for roof installation. They can last up to 30 years and can be recycled to make floors.
Tumblr media
Manufacturers combine fiberglass, asphalt and mineral compounds to create different colors such as gray, brown, red, green or blue. However, due to sun exposure, its color fades over time. Colors and quality will vary depending on whether you choose construction or three-tab colors.
Pros
Cheap or Low Cost
Low Maintenance
Easily Available
Works well in most climates.
Different Colors Available
Recyclable
Cons
The Color Fades with Exposure to the Sun
Wind-damaged 3-tab styling
Short life span
Architectural and Three Tabs
Architectural asphalt shingles are individually colored that are more than three tabs thick to create a durable layer structure on your roof. High quality materials and long installation make architectural shingles more expensive. However, they can last 15 to 30 years and are more resistant to the elements. You should keep these things in your mind while
Hiring the Roofing Agency
.
Three-tab asphalt glows thin and looks like three shingles. This allows faster installation and creates a uniform pattern like a brick. They are prone to high winds and usually live for 7 to 15 years. They are usually the most popular roofing option.
Metal Roofs
Metal roofs may seem like a modern option, but they have been around since the 1800's. Sheet metal and rust are still a popular choice today because materials such as aluminum and zinc are affordable, easy to transport, low maintenance and beautiful, even with age. Depending on the design and materials, they can last up to 80 years and cost between $ 6 and 14 14 per square foot.
Tumblr media
There are two types to choose from: leather and sheets (also called panels) that are attached to the "raised seam". You can also pretreat the metal with sealant. Although metal ceilings can come in a variety of colors, you can also paint some styles with it.
do you know? The blue-gray ceilings of Paris are painted with zinc panels, which were first installed in 1830.
Pros
Low maintenance Durable It can mimic slate, asphalt or wood. Different types of colors Light Recyclable
Cons
To reduce noise you need sound proofing. Can tear or develop waves with improper installation. Installation and repair requires skilled labor.
Vertical Stitching and Glitter
Metal roofs with vertical joints require careful installation to prevent the panel from curling and to create clear vertical lines. Installation of such sheet metal is usually more expensive, costing $ 9 and 14 14 per square foot.
Metal shingles are made to mimic slate, asphalt or wooden roofs. Their average price, raised from 1 to $ 3 per square foot, is lower than the rising seam.
Wood Roofing
Wooden roofs work well with charming Cape Cod cabins, comfortable craftsmen and Tudor-style homes. They start to turn sandy brown and silver in color with age. Wooden roofs can last up to 50 years in dry climates, but they should be treated in flammable areas such as California. Like the East Coast, humid climates cause wooden roofs to break down more quickly due to water loss.
Tumblr media
Pine, red wood and pine are common building materials because they repel pests. Pine wood roofing is one of the most popular options and costs 5 and 7 per square foot.
Pros
Attractive exterior
Natural materials
Cons
Water Damage, Mold, Mildew and Mold
Treatment with fire retardants and chemical protection may be needed.
Need High maintenance
Clay Roofing
Clay tiles are the most famous roofing material in the world, dating back 5,000 years to clay pottery roofs in China. They cost 10 to 18 per square foot and last 50 to 100 years or more. You can choose from a variety of styles, such as Spanish, French, Scandinavian, and more.
Tumblr media
Although expensive to install and repair, clay tiles last longer than almost all other types of roofs. This is common in places like Southern California and Florida because mud roofs are perfect for hot climates, can withstand winds of up to 150 mph, and are surprisingly fire resistant.
Pros
Low maintenance.
Appeal to stop forcibly.
Colors include terra cotta, red, brown and gray.
Made of natural materials.
Regulates indoor temperature.
Cons
Affected.
You may need additional structural support for your weight.
Skilled labor may be required for installation and repair.
