ROUND 1 - GREEN GROUP
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda under the cut.
GoodDog Plain: "Really appealing and legible handwritten font with a fun name!"
Fira Sans: "Fira Sans is my go-to. It's nice to look at, sleek, pretty regardless of thickness or boldness. It's simple without being the same as what everyone else chooses. As a person who writes with two different alphabets, it's accessible. A true 10/10. I also really love the condensed version."

Merry Christmas! I made lots of kids this year, didn't I?
For now, these four human children are all I've settled on. The oldest, Meiryo. The second oldest, Avenir. And the twin youngest, Kigelia and Fira. The actual oldest kid is Saira, who is a full monster!
And while I'm at it, there is a mistletoe for this month's @frans-monthly~

Siamo accoglienti come Morandi e visionari come Dalla.
Forza Bologna!
Bologna Campione!
♥️💙

How have you gone about playing with fonts, finding ones that feel good for you? I most often use Times New or Merriweather, and I suppose I should look into others, but. New things don't make the brain happy.
i find my favorites in different ways! i used to read all sorts of typography related content, and that showed me fonts i liked and disliked.
google fonts is a good place to start, but it doesn't have everything. i only mentioned it off hand, but jauría is so beautiful.
Tumblr media
just, like. look at how pretty that is. on my screen before i actually post this, it's being degraded by image compression, but here, check it out. i turned it from bold to normal for this picture.
i really recommend looking for fonts that are designed with specific bold and italic fonts. what i mean is: a typeface without an italic font will simply slant letters. this is why people think italics are hard to read. (well, not the only reason, but trust me, it makes things much worse.)
Tumblr media
sticking with one example, you can see jauría has different letter designs.
for bold, it's more about the care and artistry put into bolding letters without loosing clarity.
with sans serif fonts, these are harder to notice for sure.
Tumblr media
this is fira sans: you can see that some letters do change, but it's a lot subtler. you may notice that fira sans is pretty heavy on the serifs for a sans serif font: what can i say? i like serifs.
fonts with proper small caps are also good to look for, but explaining tabular vs proportional figures and small caps and ligatures is beyond the scope of this post.
google fonts fonts will generally have SOME of what i look for in a font, but not everything. tabular and proportional figures are the hardest to find (for reasons i respect, even if i dislike), ligatures are generally easy to find, and small caps are generally a separate font face to download.
i could go on, but this isn't actually what you asked, is it?
as mentioned, google fonts is a good place to start. everything else i've found has been through reading designer's blogs. personally, i don't pay for fonts, but that's because i'm not going to use them on display, and i just...yeah. good fonts can cost money, tho, which is why google fonts is a good place to start.
in sum: honestly, i just know a lot about typography, to know what i want, and then i basically just stumble upon nice ones.

Are there plans to add the ability to change subtitle/text sizes and colors? I am hard of hearing and the text is so small it strains my eyes :(
Hello there! We're sorry to hear the text styling isn't working for you, could you let us know what size screen you're playing at?
The game is created for a screen size of 1920×1080, which means players on smaller screens may suffer some display issues.
We will definitely be looking at the accessibility settings again for the game's full release, but in the meantime we'd suggest changing the font used in-game to one which may read more easily for you.
You'll find this in the Visuals section of the game's Settings menu! The default font is Lora, but Fira Sans and Sylexiad Serif Medium are also available:

Hope this helps you out! 💌

Los diez edificios más feos de España

i would love if you'd shared everything that might be in aelin's list in a world away, all the dream places she wants to go or already went 🤧🥺
First of all - I am so sorry it’s taken me so long to answer this ask 😭
Second - this list is in no way complete. I could probably double it if I gave it some more time (and maybe I’ll edit this post and add some later) but I wanted to answer this ask.
Third - some things listed are cities, some are attractions, some are landmarks or monuments…it’s really a mix of everything. And some major landmarks that cover more than one country are only listed once.

20th July is Elina's birthday!
Usually, the only days Elina would take leave from work are her kids or Sans's birthday. She only started taking leave on her own birthday when Undyne forced her to so they could go shopping together.
Since Elina would be with Undyne the whole day, Payne would go and bring the children out to shop for the gifts and cake, how often this shopping goes smoothly...well, it would be easy if the kids could get on the same page about anything...
