We've returned once again for Part 3!

This is the story focusing on both, Ivan's rise and fall of his Fairy Tail roots. And to unveil a dark secret of the Dreyar family.

Reminder on a few details on this story.

All of this is fanmade and not part of the main continuity.

Part 3 will revolve on Ivan's perspective and how he met his wife and how their encounter had changed him entirely.

Not only are we introducing a brand new character for Part 3, but are also fleshing out background subplots from the original series to understand more of the lore.

This also reveals a bit of an origin story for Laxus and his importance.

Not only do fans see how Ivan's life was in Fairy Tail, but it also reveals his own personal descent.

Part 3 will also show a darker tone aspect, as well as a terrifying secret near the ending.

The White Dove... 

Ivan is often described as a Raven, hence the name of his guild, but it was also interesting to make his significant other represent a form of grace and purity. Hence the wife and mother presented as a dove. Yin and Yang, black and white, opposites attract to one another.

Ivan's Personal Origin... 

Part 2 may have fleshed out the backstory of Ivan's life and relationships to both Makarov and Fairy Tail, but Part 3 is how he met the love of his life and how their encounter changed him entirely as a character.

The Matriarch of the Family... 

The mysterious wife of Ivan and the mother of Laxus is finally introduced. While there had been other depictions and interpretations of Ivan's wife and Laxus's mom, we decided to make her a unique character in the story. Despite her status as deceased, her presence still plays a huge role in the Raven Tail arc and is vital to Ivan and Laxus's story.

Polar Opposites... 

When designing Ivan's wife, we wanted her to be the complete opposite of his character. Ivan is manipulative and tries to control his enemies emotionally, while his wife Maria, is calm, disciplined and in control of her emotions. We also thought that being Laxus's mother, she would display character traits that Laxus has in general, such as an intimidating demeanour and being a silent type . But also his iconic coat, which in this story belongs to her. Similar to Ivan, she is rather an enigmatic character. But unlike most members of the Dreyars, she is more spiritual and much more harmonized with magic and is the only one who isn't part of the Fairy Tail guild.

Past Background... 

Similar to Part 2, we also thought of fleshing out background plots in the story to help the narration of how Ivan and the guild lay out in the past. The era Ivan experiences as a young adult consists of a war against dark guilds and a particular one that would later convert into the Balam Alliance.

Laxus's name holds personal value... 

The entire male Dreyar members minus Laxus have common Russian names, but Laxus is based on the Russian word ''Lux'' which means light. And just as Mavis Vermillion named Makarov after a kind king, his mother was the one who named Laxus because his birth is what binds both parents to a new ''light'' as a family.

The Heart... 

Unlike his relationship with his father Makarov, Ivan holds his wife in high regard. Because he sees his father as the source of being a wizard, but Maria is the one who showed him the full wonders and potential of the world of magic.

Ivan's Descent... 

By the time Fairy Tail had become the most famous guild in Fiore, Ivan and his family were able to live in harmony and happiness. All of that changed, however, when Ivan took Fairy Tail's principles to a more toxic extent. Mainly because his interest had taken him towards a business venture of the guild, wanting to shape Fairy Tail by own hands. This also started to cause a rift between him and Makarov, as well as becoming dangerous to his new family. But by the end... the truth reveals what really became of Ivan's wife, including a rather dark side of Laxus's maternal side.

The Dreyar family's Darkest Secret... 

During the events of Part 1, fans will see that the main cast had uncovered an interesting mural that depicted the origin of how the magic of the Fairy Tail world was placed. However, Ivan is the only one who knows the true nature of magic of the Fairy Tail world, all pointing directly at his wife.

Ritorna il Cineclub dei piccoli, il Festival dedicato all'infanzia, dal 16 al 22 ottobre a Palermo, Messina e Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto. Al via la quarta edizione del Cineclub dei piccoli, il festival cinematografico dedicato all'infanzia, che si svolgerà a Palermo, Messina e Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto (Messina) dal 16 al 22 ottobre. L'evento è organizzato dall'associazione culturale siciliana Arknoah in collaborazione con la FICC – Federazione Italiana dei Circoli del Cinema e con il coinvolgimento degli istituti comprensivi le cui scolaresche saranno investite del ruolo di Giuria. Le scuole coinvolte quest'anno sono la Direzione Didattica Statale "A. Gabelli" di Palermo, l'Istituto Comprensivo "San Francesco di Paola" di Messina e l'Istituto Comprensivo "Capuana" di Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto. Nei giorni del Festival sono in programma, nelle tre scuole coinvolte nel progetto, le proiezioni dei cortometraggi in concorso che saranno votati dai ragazzi e lo svolgimento di attività laboratoriali dedicate al cinema. Il Cinema Lux di Messina (Largo Seggiola n. 168), da venerdì 20 a domenica 22 ottobre ospiterà una intensa programmazione di eventi speciali e di proiezioni di film per bambini. Nel pomeriggio di venerdì 20 ottobre alle 16.30 è in programma l'anteprima di "Yuku e il Fiore dell'Himalaya". Hello all! Welcome to the first installment of this week’s celebration of female composers here at Musica in Extenso! I’ve been doing this series for a few years now, and I couldn’t even tell you which number this is. But it’s one of my favorite features on the blog. I hope you enjoy it, too!

Today, I feel the need for something a little dissonant, a little yearning, a little uneasy, and this Symphony no. 1 by Soviet-born composer Lera Auerbach is just the thing to fit my mood. This is a 21st-century work, composed in 2006, commissioned and premiered the next year by the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker under the direction of John Fiore.

It’s a gorgeous, lush work in seven movements and one of my favorite personal discoveries over the past year.

sadie rosenthal had been conceived on a yacht anchored in the south of france , or perhaps on one of the white beaches right where the tide ebbed and flowed , where the water began to froth , where the land met the sea ( the specifics were buffudled , but all that mattered was that she was ). think : sunkissed limbs tangled together in a fervid frenzy that burned hotter than the summer sun , water-woven hair , and foaming waves stretching around knotted bodies like a blanket . think : two strangers drunk off a shared bottle of dom pérignon . think : lust mistaken for love . sadie had been born the dampened finger that extinguished a scorching flame , this wailing and pink thing , who entered the world choking on her own saltwater tears ,  had bound two unwilling strangers together for life . 

she had aged right where she had been brought into being , along the edge of the sea , where the sweeping sky muddled with the waves ( should she lie with her back flat , the two were interchangeable ). it was there that she had grown to feel most at home , toes curling into the warm sand as she flipped through pages upon pages of heavy books that looked rather odd in her tiny and tremoring grasp . sadie rosenthal had always felt more like a cracked cone oozing melted butter pecan gelato , or fior di latte , or whatever sweetened flavor had slipped from someone’s clutches and been left to fester , than girl ( she was but a brief blip of joy , not unlike the sticky and sand riddled treat . but where the two differed was that she had always been unwanted ). 

reared only partially ( and even that choice of word was a bit too generous ) by a cutthroat stockbroker who read more like a caricature plucked right off the pages of a wolf on wall street than an actual man , she had taught herself from a young age that simply being aubrey rosenthal’s offspring did not permiss her his love , learned to live off his fleeting affections and fleeting presence. raised only a wee bit more by a woman who read more like an new author’s unfinished , unedited first draft ( the kind of flourishing prose that possessed no meaning further than surface level prettiness , the kind of prose that publishing houses aplenty would reject ), sadie felt more adult , more complete ,  at age twelve than she imagined adrienne almonte might ever be . but while she might have existed in a world of her own , at least her mother was there . manic and messy , an abstract artist , who smeared paint across canvases that littered every corner of their little chateau by the sea , across the wallpapered walls , the busts and books that lined the shelves , but there . her father had only left mere pieces of himself throughout their house , his smoked cigars left behind in all the little nooks and crannies , his festering glass of scotch on his bedside table , another on the group near his armchair in the study , crooked portraits of the three hung haphazardly upon the walls , but he only showed face for weeks at a time before returning to his real family . 

it wasn’t until her father’s first wife had begun to question exactly where he had been wiring all that money to ( soon after , filing for a divorce ), that he had moved his replacement family into his real home . and sadie had come to the sudden realization that she found it much easier to love her father from afar . 

a microscope was not needed to assess the damning damage that had turned aubrey rosenthal into the shell of the man he once was , the hoax that sadie had grown to adore . she had cut out clippings in a magazine that highlighted the family-man and his benevolent streak , tucked them into her books and used them as page markers , felt her heart swell knowing that the man who had birthed her was so good . no , she might not have been apart of the family in question , but one mistake ( yes , she is considered a mistake . he knows that , and she knows that ) made in the heat of the moment didn’t make him bad . it was all that deceit , all that rot , his fraudulent manner guised by his generous donations to charities that he had barely researched , that turned sadie’s adoration into disgust . she decided then and there that her goodness need not be contingent on saving face , that she could make her mark on the world without the copious sums of money and the page six articles . 

𝑎 𝑓𝑒𝑤 𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑡𝑙𝑒 𝑡𝑖𝑑𝑏𝑖𝑡𝑠

sadie has always felt out of place , a tad bit too posh to truly fit in with the pogue’s ( a side effect of her plush private school education and bottomless bank account ), a wee bit too rugged to truly fit in with the kooks ( she’d always felt as if she had been more gilded than gold , tarnished by green hues of patina . vintage and second hand in the way that might have caused them to turn up their noses ) . she had been born unto a great deal of money , but she had been kept tucked far away from high society , like an ugly secret blooming beneath the surface . and while she spent her days claiming that she didn’t have money , her father did , that didn’t stop her from funding her own college with the checks he wired into her account in place of an apology . 

she’s always had expensive taste , and though she lives in a small beach shack far from her family’s large second home on figure eight island , it’s furnished rather lavishly . though she purchased it all herself ( waitressing is great money when it’s not being placed aside for college ). It’s all a bit bohemian luxe , with vintage morroccan rugs lain over the cracked flooring , faux ( of course ) mongolian fur littered throughout the space ( though it looked great , it wasn’t the best interior design choice for a girl who spent her days on the beach ), large and small , but all antique and all ornate  mirrors nailed into the walls , bright jewel toned colors and far too many old books stacked on every open surface . it looked a bit like something that might be seen in an anthropologie catalogue.  

she’s thrifted almost all the clothing , and books she owns , making for quite an eclectic taste in clothing and novels . 

her love for the environment had began the moment she picked up her first cracked and worn coffee table book , flipping through pages upon pages of images of the rainforest . she substituted story books for all of mother’s coffee rimmed table books , skimmed through them with the same fascination other girls her age might have read eloise at the plaza with . by the age of eleven she was reading the pages of environmental ethics books , not fully understanding but knowing that she wanted to . 

she’s a pescatarian , finding it a bit too difficult to eat meat after the many documentaries she had viewed over the years . luckily , it was no difficult feat finding good seafood so close to the water .

Disteso nell'oscurità, avvolto da sottili tentacoli d'ombra, ho aperto gli occhi. Cosa ha turbato il mio sonno agitato? E, soprattutto, cosa stavo sognando?

I ricordi riaffiorano lenti, schivandomi e sfuggendomi come pesci in un fiume: sono in piedi in un prato, a piedi scalzi. Sento il dolce fruscio del vento che accarezza il mio corpo e il fresco verde dell'erba che sembra invitarmi al riposo. Il sole che gioca a nascondino dietro le nuvole, un mandorlo in fiore accanto a me, tutto così bello, bello come può esserlo solo nei sogni.

Sotto l'albero, carico di un rosa candido ed avvolgente, siede una figura solitaria. Ha un cappuccio rosso che le copre il viso, un mantello leggero e sembra sia lì, immobile, ad aspettare che io parli. Apro la bocca per dire qualcosa, ma la richiudo subito. Non so cosa dire, ho paura di rovinare quest'atmosfera quasi magica. Mi faccio coraggio, e sussurro due parole, leggere come un respiro e pesanti come un macigno: "Chi sei?". La figura si alza lentamente e si leva mantello e cappuccio, mentre il mio cuore accelera i battiti.

È impossibile, non può essere, non è vero... Sei proprio tu! Non c'è dubbio: i tuoi occhi, i tuoi capelli, il tuo sorriso, perfino il dolce profumo che la tua pelle diffonde...

Ma che ci fai qui? Eri scomparsa dalla mia vita, dicevi che non avevamo futuro, e io ti ho creduto; perché sei tornata? Non ti è bastato farmi diventare uno stronzo apatico e spezzarmi cuore, respiro ed anima? Cosa vuoi ancora da me?

Ti avvicini lentamente a me, nel tuo sguardo leggo pietà e un'altra emozione che non riconosco. Tremo, non so se di collera, paura o di una cieca ed istintiva passione. Ora che mi sei più vicina leggo i tuoi occhi, e capisco cos'era l'altra emozione: nostalgia. Sento una forza misteriosa che viene dalle tue labbra e dal tuo viso, e non posso più trattenermi. Sono tuo, e tu sei mia, il resto non conta. Non lasciarmi, rimani per sempre qui al mio fianco, possiamo cambiare.

Ti stacchi piano da me, mi guardi con i tuoi occhi, così profondi e così tristi, e mi sussurri all'orecchio una sola frase: "Non ti dimenticherò mai".

Batto le palpebre e sono solo, tu non ci sei più, scomparsa come se non fossi mai esistita. Mi sento morire, sento una gelida lama di ghiaccio nel petto ed ecco che mi risveglio, con un dolore sordo al cuore.

D'altronde ci si risveglia quando si muore nei sogni perché non sappiamo cosa c'è dopo. Ed io so che, senza te, sono già morto dentro.
