Today was a treat yourself day for Darcy Edwards. She finally stepped into the fancy little pastry shop she had been dying to go into for months, assured with a text that she could still use the credit card her mother issued. Just don’t spend enough to start your debt before college, Darcy Suzanna. Good enough for Darcy. She was peering into the glass case, on her tippy toes, breathing excitedly upon the enclosure so that it fogged slightly. She leaned back, bouncing and gasped when she bumped into someone. “Oh, gosh! I’m so sorry!” she apologized bashfully, twirling around to face Fiona Coyne.

ellie and fiona mostly starting talking as non-cast members of the drama club, many of whom tend to stick together during rehearsals. ellie always appreciated the way fiona always came off as so poised and congenial, contrasting a lot of the crew who either don’t like to talk, or like to use this time to talk shit complain about the cast. ellie was usually one of those two, herself, but as she’s loosened up over the past year, she’s spent more time actually talking with fiona. since ellie and holly j have started hanging out more, it’s been mentioned that the three of them should get together for a much-needed girls’ night. ellie really hopes it happens because it not only sounds like a lot of fun, but she’s into the idea of becoming better friends with fiona in general.

terri has a lot of admiration for fiona; the way she carries herself and speaks for herself, how she works a room, and especially her style. she just has so many qualities that terri values in herself and in the women she surrounds herself with. she’s one of terri’s favorite reminders about her own capabilities in putting herself out there and trying new things, after all, the two of them had only known each other about a month but they’d already gotten to the level of sharing sideways glances when a member of their fashion club has an unfashionable idea (which happens a lot more than they’d like it to). if she can make such a nice connection with someone she just met, then who’s to say she won’t succeed with other new ventures in life?
