"are you sure it wasn't as bad as i thought it was?"

you stop combing through seungcheol's hair with your fingers. "yes."

"really?"

"yes."

"i mean, i broke a plate, stepped on your mom's foot and—"

"i was there."

"—swore in front of your dad."

"i know, baby."

"promise it's okay?"

"seungcheol, if you ask me that question one more time, i'm going to eat up all of your melonpan."

seungcheol tilts his head up to look at you from where he's sitting on the floor between your legs. he tries to put on his best hurt face. "what happened to cheol? or love of my life? or even...pookie?"

you laugh. "you want me to call you pookie?"

"...no. but anything's better than my name."

"no," you say, resuming combing through his hair and detangling a particularly stubborn clump. "your name is lovely, even if you insist it isn't."

"it's just so...serious. it sounds like i'm going to get scolded."

"it's you. and i like it. but tonight didn't go bad at all, baby."

the thing is, seungcheol's never met anyone's parents before. at least, not since he became an idol. you had been telling him your parents should be more worried about hosting an idol at their place for dinner but seungcheol had been stressing about it for a couple of weeks, worrying about what to wear and what to gift and how to sit, till you held him by the shoulders and very sternly told him to be himself, and nothing more.

he's done just that tonight, and he's landed himself in this predicament now.

"you're just saying that to make me feel better."

you sigh and your hands stop working in his hair again. now seungcheol can't have that, so he turns around and clings to your leg.

"cheollie!" you say immediately, ruffling his hair. he lets go. "what, are you really that scared of what my parents think of you?"

"yes? they're your parents. and i met them for the first time yesterday. what if they tell me to stay away from their only child for the rest of my life because they didn't like my shirt yesterday?"

you fish out the television remote from behind the cushion and toss it into his lap. "show me a fancam of yours while i finish working on your hair. choose one you really like."

that doesn't sound good. why would you ignore what he said in favour of something else? unless—

"did they—"

"choi seungcheol."

that shuts him up. he scrolls through some videos on youtube and picks one he thinks looks good. you pull out a rubberband and gently tie his hair into a ponytail. seungcheol swears you have magic hands, because you've never once hurt him whenever you've volunteered to do his hair.

"done," you say, pushing him a bit forward so you can stand up.

seungcheol groans. "don't leave me alone."

"i'm just...going to get us some water?"

"i'm having a crisis here."

you giggle and sit back down, tugging at him till he climbs up and rests against your chest, both of you watching his videos of choice together. your grip on him tightens even though you don't say anything. seungcheol keeps quiet about it for exactly two and a half fancams before he twists to look at you.

you have a goofy smile on your face, and he feels kind of silly for wishing you were looking at the real life him, and not the one on the screen.

"what is it?"

"what?" you ask, looking down at him.

"you're smiling. at him."

you snort. "that's you."

"yeah, but i'm right here."

your eyes crinkle when you smile at him. seungcheol just feels like he's stepped into bright sunshine after a cold day.

"i was watching some edits of yours yesterday."

"oh. were they any good?"

"really good. but i wonder what your fans would think if they got to know you're the biggest softie in the world. none of that supposed alpha stuff here."

seungcheol pouts, but he can't keep it up for long. he's pretty much at his best when he's with you. you're the reason why he can physically feel his shoulders relax most days. you're also the reason he finds himself smiling a lot more.

"supposed?"

"well..."

seungcheol turns to bite your arm gently. you push his head away, not before pressing a kiss to it. "stop worrying so much, okay? you didn't mess up anything with my parents. do you have any idea of how much my mom liked you?"

"she...did?"

"yeah. and my dad asked me when we're going to visit again."

seungcheol feels his worries dissipate. you don't look like you're saying it to placate him, but...

"are you..."

"...sure? cheol, my mother literally asked me when we're planning to get married. i think that's enough for surety, isn't it?"

seungcheol swears he can feel his heart beating fast enough to escape his chest. of course he'd love nothing more than marrying you one day, even if it's a long way down both of your futures.

"hm," is all he can say, settling back down against you. he doesn't mind you smiling at the version of him on the television. he's the one who's going to get to marry you, after all.

Hongjoong

You don't have time to switch apps before Hongjoong walks up behind you, placing a hand on your shoulder and leaning in to kiss your cheek. You try setting your phone down, but his voice immediately rings out in your ear as he freezes against you.

“(y/n)? Why are you watching that?” You can tell just by his tone that he feels shy.

A nervous chuckle escapes your lips as you turn your head to face him, looking up and down at his wide, darting eyes. As nervous as you are, he’s far more sheepish. It's inevitable; you can't help reaching up to pinch his cheek, and even as he leans away with a giggle your head is in his hand.

"Why were you watching that?" Hongjoong asks you again, head tilted in query, voice soft.

"Because," you reply, leaning back in to press a kiss to his lips, "you always look so amazing. Captain of the stage, I'd say."

"Oh," he falters, spacing himself from you just enough to take in the fullness of your visage, "well, I, I don't know about that."

"I do," you say, eyelashes batting, "I can't get enough of seeing you perform."

"Really?" His smile widens, face absolutely lighting up in a way that has your face warm and smiling back. "That's funny, because I can't get enough of you."

This time, it's Hongjoong's turn to lean in and kiss you, a hand reaching to slide down your arm. "And I'll be grateful forever for you," he whispers to you as your lips separate, his gaze penetrating yours deeply.

Seonghwa

“Ooh, who’s that? He’s pretty handsome.”

“Dork.”

Laying on your stomach on the couch, you had your phone resting on a pillow in front of you dutifully playing you a Deja Vu fancam of Seonghwa. It was just one of those days. Despite your teasing, you gave your boyfriend an amused smirk and playful eye roll, daring him to say anything else.

“What? Is he not your bias, or…?” Seonghwa kept it up, but this time with a slight pout. “I think he looks pretty cool.”

With a chuckle, you propped up your head on your hand, looking him right in those big brown eyes. “He is, but he’s also a big nerd. You should see all his star wars legos.”

Even puppier puppy eyes- gosh, you loved his eyes. “You like my legos.”

“Uh, heck yeah I do! It’s a bomb collection and we built my favorite one together. That’s my favorite thing about this guy,” you said, grabbing your phone again to point at it with your other hand, smiling, “he’s so sexy, but really just a huge nerdy sweetheart underneath it all.”

“Oh. Well,” Seonghwa flushed at your words, “that sounds like something out of a comic book.”

“Right? I can’t believe he’s real.”

“Well, I just hope he can make you happy forever.”

A huge smile broke across your face at that. “And I hope he always feels my love.”

“I think he does.” Seonghwa replied, leaning down to snake his arms around your waist.

Yunho

“Has anyone ever told you you’re amazing?”

“Oh, well what’s caused this,” Yunho teased from his adjacent couch cushion, bumping your shoulder with his, “did you do something?”

“No,” you laid your head on his shoulder in response, feeling him relax beneath you at the touch of your cheek, “just watching this.”

As you raised your phone, Yunho laughed, his motions jostling your head, but you didn’t mind, just smiling at his amusement.

“You really watch me in your spare time? Don’t you get enough of me in real life?”

“Guess not,” you shrugged, jostling his head this time as he laid it on yours.

“Good to know you’re not tired of me sending you practice videos.”

“I will never tire of your dance genius, Yunho.”

He shook his head. “I’m always learning.”

It was your turn to bump his shoulder with yours, this time repeatedly. “Nooo! Stop being so modest! Just let me compliment you!” You lightly swatted his cheeks in little fake slaps. “You’re amazing, remember? Look at that handsome idol on the screen- that’s you!”

“I dunno, I think I like who’s on the screen now better,” Yunho replied, smiling brightly with a nod of his head toward your phone, which had gone off, the black screen reflecting your face.

Yeosang

“What is that?”

Holding your phone a little closer to your chest, you felt your eyes narrow slightly as you countered, “Why?”

No direct response to that, just Yeosang with a tilted head and those blank puppy eyes that tended to make you laugh when your heart wasn’t pounding like it was then. “Are you watching…me?”

You were nothing if not a bad liar. “Um,” you stuttered slightly, adopting your best don’t-judge-me smile, “yes?”

His mouth rounded in surprise, pretty lips pursing. “You…like my performances that much?”

Between the nerves in your body collectively exhaling, back relaxing against the hard support of your chair, and the genuine surprise with which Yeosang spoke, you couldn’t help but laugh. “Um, yes I do, I happen to think my boyfriend is amazing and that he totally owns the stage.”

Yeosang’s head straightened up, gaze darting from the floor to you. “Huh. Well, alright then. Thank you!” Finally a smile. You could tell by the expression he was still surprised, but quite flattered. “Keep being a fan, then, I guess.”

Your hand landed over your heart. “A fan?” You mock-gasped. “Is that all I am to you? Just another fan?”

“Hey,” Yeosang held up his hands in defense, “atiny are my first love!”

“So if I’m also your fan,” you paused, lips spreading in a grin, “then I’m your first and second love!”

“Exactly,” Yeosang responded, taking your hand and leaving your phone long forgotten.

San

“Oh, you- you like that?”

Shifting against your headboard pillows, you turned to see San standing in the doorway rubbing his neck sheepishly. If you didn’t know better, you’d say he was looking quite shy. A smile spread across your face.

“Do I like it? Do I like seeing how sharply you were hitting this choreography? More like my mind was blown! You have such a unique way with the stage, a way only you move.”

Sure, you could have led with how hot San looked on stage, but he was too much of a sweetheart to lead in with superficial compliments, plus knowing how much it meant to him to hear that? Worth anything you could give. Even his shy surprise that you enjoyed his fancams had your chest warming and bursting, let alone the ecstatic look that bloomed across the features that peered upon you with such love.

“You really think so?” He asked as he eased further into the room, eyes opening with the aforementioned love, affection you felt lucky to be gifted by someone like San, as his hand fell lightly to lean on your bed’s footboard.

“I know so,” you insisted, setting down your San-filled screen and shuffling forward across your blanket on folded knees, drawing right below San himself and looking straight up at him, “because I have video evidence and lots of atiny to back me up.” With that, you reached up and booped his nose, barely suppressing a giggle at the way it scrunched up, his smile growing even more.

“Thank you,” he said quietly, “I always hope I’m doing enough.”

“You are, ok?” Pushing off the comforter, you sat up further to cup San’s face. “You’re an amazing dancer, a beast on stage, have the voice of an angel, and you’re super handsome.”

Before he could process all the sweet nothings to you that spun around behind the stars in his eyes, San leaned forward, closing the gap you’d left between you two with a kiss.

Mingi

“Why are you watching my fancams? I’m right here.”

Who’d have thought wanting to go back and see some of the kingdom performances again would have your boyfriend a whining mess? Not you, as you’d whipped out your phone to see Mingi’s moves like it was nothing. Not long after you’d done that, the tall rapper you called the love of your life entered the room and began pouting, his head resting on your shoulder.

“(y/n?)” His face had practically melted into the 🥺 emoji as he glanced between your phone and him.

“You’re not performing Wonderland in real life, are you?” You teased in response, peering up at him, though you could still see the video out of the corner of your eye.

“I can do that too!” And with that, Mingi immediately ran around the couch and burst into the Wonderland choreography in front of you.

You had to give it to him for commitment. Plus, he was doing the choreography like rent was due, throwing his whole wonderful little heart, soul, and, ahem, body into it. All you could do was giggle and reach out your arms.

“All right, all right, you’ve well made your point! Come here!”

“All right, as soon as I do the killing point.”

What could he say? Mingi wanted your attention, but he wanted to get out the hottest move first.

Wooyoung

"Babe, look what I'm watching!" Grinning, you turn your phone around in your hand so it faces your eager-eyed boyfriend, who grins right back at you.

He points at his own chest, expression falling into an almost childlike smile as his gaze follows his own figure dancing across your screen. "Me?"

"That's right," you nod, "this is my favorite fancam."

Wooyoung's voice was almost a squeak. "You have a favorite fancam of me?"

"Of course I do. I'm your biggest fan, remember?" You ask him, still smiling.

"Oh, I love you, I love you, I love you!" He exclaims, floodgates bursting as he barrels over to you and all but leaps into your arms, pressing a kiss to your cheek. "You're the sweetest, you know that? I'd watch every fancam of yours if they made them!"

"Why would they make fancams of me?" Was all you could giggle as your own hands wrapped around your boyfriend's waist, his staying firmly around your shoulders.

"Because you're the cutest, most supportive, funnest, person ever,” Wooyoung replied, kissing your lips between every word before giving you another grin, hands squeezing you lightly, “but I’m ok with no fancams. I’m glad I have you all to myself.”

Jongho

“Did you know everyone was losing their minds over you sitting?”

“Me sitting?”

Despite having the real thing sitting right next to you, you’d gotten caught up in watching Jongho’s fancams. There was just something about the power he held on stage that you loved, not to mention some of the things he wore to perform.

“Yeah, they noticed during Cyberpunk that you were sitting pretty…” As your eyes left your phone, meeting the mix of curiosity and confusion in his own beautiful brown eyes, you suddenly found yourself floundering for words. “Powerfully.”

A playful smirk grew on Jongho’s face as he shook his head, suppressing a laugh. “I was sitting powerfully?” He repeated incredulously, clearly finding this all very funny.

“Yeah,” you replied, shrugging and holding your phone out to him, “look at the fancam. You do look pretty hot.”

“(y/n),” he chastised, but you could see by the way he rolled his eyes and looked away as he took your phone that he was a bit flustered.

His eyes scanned the screen. “Ah, atiny, I’m in the background and everything! This isn’t even my fancam. They don’t miss a thing. So all I have to do is sit, huh?” He hands your phone back, eyes fixed only on you now.

Suddenly, at his gaze it was you who was getting flustered. “Well, I mean, I just-”

Jongho laughed, mocking a bit of scandal. “I was just teasing, (y/n), what were you thinking of?”

That earned him a smack on the firm…what, were you not thinking it? chest.

Cdrama Reviews/Reccs Series 01: Mysterious Lotus Casebook (莲花楼)

SPOILER WARNING!!!! PROCEED WITH CAUTION ( will be talking about the plot and the ending so if you are spoiled that if not my problem in any way)

Mysterious Lotus Casebook, led by Chengyi, Zeng Shunxi(Joseph), and Xiao Shunyao, directed by Guohu and Ren Haitao, aired through summer 2023 and was one of the most popular cdramas to come out that summer.

Unfortunately I was a bit preoccupied falling down the Boy's Planet rabbit hole after being peer pressured to watch it to serve as moral support for a friend of mine and thus, being unintentionally dragged back into my kpop phase.

It was also because I had a hellish 14-hour work/study schedule 5-6 days a week during most of that summer meaning I could only have one hyperfixtation and watching five three-minute fancams was still a lot less time than rewatching a word of honor episode for the literal 14th time.

However, I am back and despite still being busy as hell, I have pulled three all-nighters (not in a row thank god) to finish this drama because it was heavily reccomended.

And needless to say, since I was able to sacrifice another decade of my life for it, it was pretty good.

I have not read the novel it was based on, I am only going off of what is in the actual drama.

For costume dramas, out of the big three platforms in the land of cdramas, youku, tencent, and iqiyi, I would say production quality-wise I prefer iqiyi, so that was one of the reasons I agreed to watch this drama. When it comes to Iqiyi, most of the time I don't feel taken out of the story by the production quality. Usually, I'm removed from from the illusion of the story by the story itself but that is another issue, particularly prevalent in productions with script with no source material or very low-quality source material.

The skin smoothing wasn't super excessive and the general look was pretty harmonious. No props that stood out strangely and few consistently or particularly awkward camera angles messed with the storytelling elements that I can remember. Pretty good for a Cdrama. The bar is a bit low, yes, but in the grand scheme of things it's not a badly produced drama, and it's pretty evident, that the people working on it cared at least a passing amount about those storytelling elements which I can wholly appreciate. And obviously, it's nowhere near a cinematic masterpiece, it did not lack the quick cuts of slow-mo, or the wide-face shots that are a certain pet peeve of mine in dramas, though I will say, it didn't bother me as much as it usually does. It had a certain martial arts film charm to it and generally sidestepped the tacky look that kind of editing or shots usually have, but nonetheless, the production has certain things to be desired. I would say the overall look/production quality definitely doesn't hinder the watching experience.

However, there was something that did set me off a bit. I am a Mandarin speaker myself. Listening to this drama was a bit awkward at times. Of course, If I can find them I will put on both Chinese and English subtitles, if not I will at least have one language of subtitles on so I don't have too much problem understanding what is going on, and this was no exception. but frankly, spending late nights in front of my computer screen trying to read subtitles has never been my favorite way to enjoy cdramas.

The line delivery in costume dramas has certain standards that contrast with contemporary dramas making it that much more difficult and important to the scene. My first victim is Zeng Shunxi, the actor for Tianji Manor's young master Fang Duobing. From what I understand Mandarin is not Joseph Zeng's first language, perfectly fine, but the problem is, in this drama, I can tell. There are plenty of instances where his delivery is majorly awkward, particularly for a Minister's son, he's supposed to be well-versed in literature and an eloquent young master but sometimes talks like the words don't fit his mouth and other times the words come out in form fitted lines of monotony that also feel strange to native speakers and particularly costume drama viewers. It's not the worst thing and if you only read subtitles you will probably not even notice because his emotions generally still translate pretty well and it's not like he is speaking noticeably slower than other actors or like a robot. there is just a lot of be desired in that standards of voice acting. I am not here to attack this man, the fact that he could play in his own voice through the whole drama as someone whose first language is not Mandarin is impressive, particularly because it is a costume drama so there is a whole other level of difficulty, plus his line delivery was not bad enough to prevent me from finishing this drama so do with that what you will. However, for the purposes of the story, I think getting a dubbing actor could have been a reasonable investment. Our other leading actor, Chengyi also has certain issues with line delivery, though arguably not as noticeable. His character is a reserved, tired person, secretive so it's generally in character for him to be quieter, calmer, and his cadence is mostly natural, but sometimes I really couldn't quite catch what he was saying. He likes to gloss over certain words, his ending sounds such as those with ng like jing or neng get ommited some of the time, and his overall delivery borders mumbly several times. Mumbly words said under your breath are acceptable as long as the words are heard clearly, but that is the problem, they aren't. Again, it likely will not be noticeable if you are only reading subtitles and it is not bad enough to ruin the moment or scene in most instanced but there are things to work on, definitely. These two actors have the most lines in the entire show which is why I'm making such a big deal about it, but for people that don't know mandarin, that don't hear the awkward cadence or can't understand whatever is being mumbled, it wouldn't be noticeable, however it was definitely a criticism I had.

However, breaking away from the complaints I would like to point out that I generally really liked the fighting choreography. Fighting choreos can be the highlight of wuxia dramas. Many martial arts cdramas nowadays bypass having to train their expensive idol actors and actresses in fighting choreo with stuff like special effects and camerawork, but the fighting sequences and swordsmanship sequences were all pretty well done. Special mention to Chengyi's performance for the Li xianyi/Li lianhua's swordplay sequences was very nicely done. His movements are fluid and generally crisp, fitting his character and are nice to watch and capture the scene. I think my favorite was the last time he practiced his sword, in front of a fire, in the moonlight but here were quite a few pretty breathtaking moments.

Did this drama make me sob my eyes out? Yes, several times. I do tend to cry at every little thing but I did have a long bawl about Li lianhua after I finished, and a couple of sore, dry-eye days after a long night of quietly crying in my bedroom. However, making me cry is only a facet of storytelling that I evaluate. Personally, for the story itself, I found it generally pretty easy to get roped and invested in. The case breaking stuff is usually interesting to me and this one certainly was, though I do think that the cases themselves were sometimes overly convoluted with quite a couple of logic holes because their line of reasoning was so long and complicated. The amount of hints that are thrown at you in small moments are pretty hard to keep track of, but I think that it the characters and their dynamic is charming and the resolutions to the cases and the characters' agency was still satisfying enough for me to follow them on their little detective cases, and obviously the conflict caused by Li Lianhua's identity was the main backbone of the story. Li Lianhua's attitude, his disillusionment, all very heartbreaking, I loved it. I have seen some people argue that Li Lianhua has no character development. He still pushes the people who love him away, he is still walking away from his problems, and hurts them which is true in some ways but I disagree with the fact that he has no development. He had this sudden and painful disillusionment, before the story that changed his worldview entirely and really before Fang Duobing comes along, he is hypercritical of himself, the ruthlessly unyielding, unforgiving part of Li Xiangyi is something he still carries with him. However, after meeting Fang Duobing who admired Li Xiangyi in a way that wasn't just putting him on this untouchable pedestal or making him an ideal kind of helped him remember and allowed him to go back to Sigu sect, put on those red robes and save Yun Biqiu with Fang Duobing supporting him the whole way. He ends up giving his old acquaintances and friends some closure even though he originally intended to leave it all exactly where it was ten years ago and, though, I think it was unfair the lack of closure that Fang Duobing got, in the end, Li Xiangyi resolved his story in a different way than he was going to. Of course, he still leaves everyone behind but he isn't exactly just walking away from all his problems anymore, he's helping them accept his inevitable outcome, wishing them a bright future and the life he won't get to have and that, though albiet subtle is still development.

Overall I think the cases were draggy and complicated, but not uninteresting and the real plot with digging up the main male lead's past was a pretty good point of intrigue. These episodes are like almost 50 minutes long though so to each their own. Acting, other than line delivery gets a pass for me. They were consistent believable characters with motives and consequences that made me care about them. The chemistry between the three leads was pleasant and harmonious. Their dynamic was clear, humourous, and entertaining, nothing to gawk at but seeing them fight together and interact definitely brought a smile to my face more than once.

As for the soundtrack, it was, as most of the rest of the drama, pleasant and fitting, but, nothing mindblowing. However, I am still listening to that soundtrack while I'm writing this and it has definitely grown on me.

One last thing, I did not get to the the entirety of the ending because I do not pay for iqiyi, however, I know the general idea of what it was. Personally, I am kind of glad I did not because I think the ending in the 40th video was more than enough. I know that they don't want to incur the wrath of all the emotional fans crying after the last video and believe me I was one of them, but giving him an ambiguous ending with a hint about him returning just doesn't sit right. Li Lianhua was a dead person, he spent ten years accepting his death. This story is about the freeing of Li Xiangyi from the cycles of vengeance and the death of the idle, wandering physician Li Lianhua. If Li Lianhua does not die, entanglement in the affairs of the world is inevitable and since Li Lianhua is now recognized as Li Xiangyi, they can no longer exist separately as they had been doing for ten years, because if they do, Li Xiangyi will be forced once again into the entanglements of vengeance, attachments, and worldly affairs which undermines his selflessness, self-loathing, righteousness, and bittersweet apathy. Even though this is not Di Feisheng's happy ending, and definitely not Fang Duobing's happy ending, this is Li Lianhua's happy ending, to die quietly, all his attachments to the world settled and left behind, in a small boat where he can rest peacefully and die where he was supposed to all those years ago, rocked by the current and forcing the people he has left behind to let go of him, as they should have done. He gave everyone as much closure as he could, and he gave himself control over his own death. As much as I want him to be alive, I don't think, for the purpose of the story that he should be or would be.

Anyways, I have grown way too attached to Li Lianhua, and keep rewatching the series to cope. Overall, I liked Mysterious Lotus casebook a lot, ti is definitely I would say worth the watch and even though it is not the most amazing or greatest thing in the world it has a special place in my heard and as kind of some closure for me, that is my review of the show, hope you liked it.

1. wow the phillies really crumbled didn't they. i think i'd be more upset about it if the writing hadn't been on the wall, the bye was never gonna work for us. a team that struggled batting and pitching the first two weeks and the two weeks after all stars was never gonna survive having a pre-post-season break. post-season doesn't give you two weeks to adjust. i hustled to get the clinch fic out because i could feel it in my stomach, and there was no scenario where i would finish writing it now, you know? oh well. now it's time to switch gears, the san jose sharks would never do this to me. (a team that can't make the playoffs also can't lose in the playoffs)

2. i've been thinking about making another ao3 account. for visual stuff. in my grand dreams i recommit to my old more traditional hobbies but realistically i suppose it would be a way to post moodboards or edits or whatever to ao3 collections. i think relearning how to draw and paint and whatever would be nice, but it feels far out to me. i should start closer. more realistic. either way i wanna do more visually creative stuff, i've been doing other things lately and i'd hate to get really rusty.

3. changed my phone bg from bryson and trea to 2ne1. you know, for the winter. trying to convince myself it's not a reactionary move, the baseball bgs were just really summery and i wanted change for the fall and winter, but didn't wanna change them before the season was over. love just my girls. tomorrow i'm gonna watch a bunch of fancams from the concert i think. remember when fancam meant a fan recorded video of a performance? i don't know what the fuck happened. i don't know what fandom took a thing the kpop fans were doing and changed the definition of it entirely. baffles me to this day.

4. i've been fiddling with the 52 weeks sequel a lot again, i think working on something that i know where it's going and i have a lot of plans and notes for but no concrete deadline or pressing need to get out there is really nice. im trying to figure out what the scope is, if i wanna go over the original timeline. because i do have scenes past it, i have notes spanning years past it, but i don't know how far i'm trying to get with the sequel and if it's something that's gonna get a third and fourth and fifth parts. i haven't really thought about it that hard. and if i decide it's the sequel, for the original "duration" and nothing else, what am i gonna do with all the stuff i've already written and planned out? i don't know.

kind of a life/fandom/Fitzsimmons brainrot update I guess... I've been dealing with significant carpal tunnel pain in my dominant hand for the past month, with the past two weeks being severe enough that I've had to stop all work (art) and hand-intensive hobbies (writing and costuming) entirely. I had an ortho appointment yesterday but it will be at minimum 3 weeks before we can proceed with treatment (doc is on vacation) and I was given nothing for the pain in the interim, so at the moment I still can't work.

What I have been doing is watching a lot of YouTube, mostly reactions. If you want to have a fun time and rewatch Agents of SHIELD, I highly suggest you check out Omn1Media's channel; he's just finished season 2 and it's been so much fun watching him get so invested in the characters and plot and theorize about what happens next after each episode. It's been like watching the show for the first time all over again, he's an absolute delight.

When I need a break from YouTube, I actually decided to try my hand at video editing (my hand can handle it for longer) and have been working at piecing together a Fitzsimmons vid. Yes, I'm old, YouTube vids are out and TikTok fancams are in, but idgaf. I've had this vid half-directed in my head for years and now I can finally make it like I've been threatening my Discord for years. It's about 2/3 of the way complete and I'm excited to share it with the five of you following me still interested in AoS when I'm done, and happy that I can indulge in at least some form of creative pursuit while my hand has mostly shit the bed.

And don't worry, I still have a ton of Fitzsimmons fic ideas raring to go in my head when my hand is back up to snuff.

when did you watch bad buddy/join the fandom?

i watched bad buddy exactly 3 months ago on the 15th of May, 2023. i watched all the episodes all on the same day and i know the date because after finishing the show i sent a 7 minute long audio note gushing about the show to my best friend. i ADORED it that much. and that's where all of this started. i loved the show so much and the lack of people i knew irl who were interested meant i had to find other people in the fandom to freak out with. i kept posting one after another favourite bad buddy edit of mine on my twitter page, gushing about it, but i got barely any response and that's when i reminded myself that tumblr exists and i should get back on here. and that's how i made this account 2 weeks after i watched the show and voila here i am surrounded by people who are as crazy about the show as i am and i couldn't be more delighted about it :')

i love pat with all my heart, the man he ends up becoming along the course of the show is one of my most favorite portrayals of any man ever BUT pran is my actual favorite, he is my baby, (somehow both) my elder and younger brother and my best friend and he has my whole heart. his love, his hesitance, his anxiety, his bravery, his dimples, his FOREHEAD, his striped shirts, his precious heart i would DIE for him no questions asked.

episode 11. each segment had something for the heart, i adored every single second of it...the sheer volume of beaut quotes from this episode is mind blowing! ("being with you already feels like freedom", "i can be anywhere as long as i have you", "we have been happier a lot too", "thankyou for trying to make a silly guy like me happy..." "i wrote this song for him", "one man can't change the world, but this world can't change me too"), and the soft loving looks of adoration making me clutch my chest, but also there was the quintessential patpran banter and bad buddy humour and wisdom i LOVE this episode with all my heart.

episode 5 is perfection. it comes second for me, but that kiss will always be number 1 <3

name and whatever you want to share about yourself I'm tpt! 30s, queer, brainweird, language nerd, been reading BL and slash and other queer lit since before the turn of the millennium and probably (hopefully) never gonna stop.

when did you watch bad buddy/join the fandom? I watched the first episode the day after it aired. Went in knowing nothing about it except the English title, which I thought was thoroughly unappealing, and the promo image. Came out of ep 1 convinced Paa was the only person with any sense on the entire show, but sufficiently intrigued (ointment sharing! Line ID shenanigans!) to keep watching. So I watched as it aired from ep 2, and when the bus stop scene rolled around, I blocked the airing time slot out in my calendar so I could watch live (which didn't work out for ALL eps, but … close enough). I did find a regular group to squee with after ep 5, but didn't really interact with fandom beyond that little bit of squeeing with friends and looking at fan art until after ep 9, I think. This was the first Thai BL show I watched week to week, and that also made it special to me.

favorite ship(s) Pat/Pran.

favorite character(s) Used to be Pran no contest, but Pat worked his way into my heart in the later episodes. couldn't choose now. they're all favourites.

favorite episode(s) I really love episodes 3-5 and 10/11. but honestly I love the show as a whole, and the episodes in the context they exist in. Except for the gun subplot.

favorite scene(s) the opening sequence of ep 2! also episode 3 bus stop scene (and Pat's way of accomodating Pran in it), ep 4 sleepover scene, ep 5 Pat's realisation/the fight, ep 6 gate convo scene, ep 8 fight/apology scene, ep 9 hand-holding scene, ep 10 Our Song teaser scene and confrontation scenes, ep 11 affirmation/we got to go back scene and wishful thinking sequence, ep 12 bar scene.

one thing you would change about the show if you could I'd adjust the pacing of ep 12 so the fake-out is a smaller part of the whole thing proportionally.

what are your some of your favorite fanworks made by other people? It's really hard to pick. I love SO MANY. Even just the authors whose fic I list here have written more than one of my faves each. but let's see:

fic (missing scene): keeps me warm by unsungyellowraincoat (@isaksbestpillow). direct ep 8 aftermath exploration that made me ache.

fic (canon divergence): fight or flight (worth the wait) by jabber_moose (@galauvant). Ep 2 canon divergence wherein Pran is discovered under Pat's bed.

fic (AU): Pinocchio by aworkingprinter (@miscellar). In which Pran has an obvious, unsuppressable tell when he lies.

fan animation: international love song by @architectxengineer

fan art: this pic by @ thatgothsamurai was one of the first things I saw in this fandom in the way of art and it's stuck with me

(if you create fanworks) what are your favorite fanworks that you’ve made?

fic: the only truth that sticks (<5k, G) is my take on Pran's mother's backstory, told as vignettes from her school years. There's a lot I'd do differently if I wrote it now – not give her a nickname, for one – but it's nevertheless my baby; when I started it, I hadn't finished and posted any fic in over 20 years.

I had a collection of random language- and storytelling related observations about the show on twitter that I should probably copy over somewhere else at some point for preservation purposes.

there's an epic canon divergence that lives only in my friend's and my DMs and a back-up doc that I'm starting to think will never take full shape, but I love it anyway. There's also an escalating intimacy thing set vaguely pre-canon plus ep 7 to time skip that I've not added to in a year and probably won't finish, either, but again: love what I've got there.

a song that makes you think of bbs (the ones in the show don’t count lol) If it's a bittersweet love song I'm PatPraning it. But specifically: Tilly Birds' เพื่อนเล่น ไม่เล่นเพื่อน (Just Being Friendly) and pretty much the entire tracklist from the ON Thailand fanmeet, especially แดงกับเขียว (Red and Green) by TaitosmitH, แน่ใจไหม (Are You Sure) by Nont Tanont, อย่าใกล้กันเลย (We shouldn't be close) in Aof Pongsak's version, and ดวงเดือน (Moon) by Joey Phuwasit.

idk anything else you want us to know? I love this show. I love the hopeful ending. I love all the recurring characters (yes, that includes Wai and the parents), with all their flaws. I love how gently P'Aof tells this story – the way he approaches entrenched BL clichés, picks them up, examines them, and puts them back down: does it have to go this way? not for us, not for this story, let's look at how else this could go. He said he wanted to make a typical, an ordinary BL, and he did, and he didn't.

I love that I met so many nice people through our mutual love of this show. I love that we're still on the rooftop nearly two years later.

I love that there's so many sides of this fandom – analytical, transformative, curative, and everything in between.

favorite episode(s) Whenever i watch/rewatch bad buddy i tend to binge it so i can never distinguish betweens episodes lol. In general, ep 12 is definitely one of my favs because i feel like it ties things up nicely and i like seeing them happy :) i can probably give a better answer for favourite scene...

favorite scene(s) ...which is why it's great that this is the next question!

In no particular order: the staircase proposal scene, the bus stop roleplaying scene, the post-curtain bench hand holding scene (specifically that one face pat/ohm makes which imo is the single most most heartbreaking frame in the entire show), the ep 12 post-credits scene (wait was it actually post-credits, i don't remember ajksdjf), the screaming on the rocks at the zero-waste village scene, and the rooftop kiss (ofc)

Basically i just like to see them happy (most of the time) :)

one thing you would change about the show if you could the whole making-it-up-to-wai arc was not it for me. WHY was pran the one apologising and going after him??? still makes me mad to this day, but i think i'd have a lot more animosity towards wai if ep 12 didn't exist (also all the wai redemption arcs in fanfics have made me warm up to him :P)

when did you watch bad buddy/join the fandom?

So I was initially waiting for Bad Buddy to finish airing so that I can binge it. But it was getting harder to avoid spoilers on the dash, so I decided to give it a go. I am so glad I binged ep 1-6 and only joined the airing from ep 7. Because there is no way I could have survived ep5 and waited a week after watching Pran walk away. That would have been torture.

Of course PatPran are the ultimate ship. I love them so much. And also InkPha because we are finally getting some GL representation!!!

I know everyone says this, but it is true. Pran is me. I am Pran. Like I have never related to a character as much as I have related to Pran. In terms of character, personality and even certain issues he was facing. It's just insane. And I love him so much.

favorite episode(s)

Episode 10. It just has everything; the highs and the lows. A perfect mix. We start off with the staircase confession, which is also one of my fave scenes, and then we have the boys finding out that the business/Chai was never the main problem the parents, prompting them to dig deeper. Pha's realisation and thew whole park trial date with the Wai encounter. That was such an epic scene. The only thing better than confused Pha was protective Ink and flustered/heartbroken Wai.A little cameo from Gemini, Ford and Fourth! INKPHA DARK ROOM SCENE!! PatPran on an actual hotpot date! And of course the parental confrontation and rooftop breakdown. I know I did not have to list out the whole ep, but I got excited. I am sorry.

Episode 5 4/4 is just a different league. That should actually count as an episode on its own. Love every second from the lobby fight scene to the rooftop kiss and Pran walking away. Its all just chef's kiss. All the emotions!! I am forever in awe at how Jimmy stood up to Nanon and Ohm. He could have easily gotten swallowed by their presence and energy, as a newbie. But nope, he gave as good as either of them. He demanded that space in the scene. And all three of them killed it! Not even gonna start talking about the rooftop scene. There is not enough time and character limit for that. Another favourite is the rooftop breakdown. That was one gorgeous breakdown, and idk if it can be topped. The way Pat is already there when Pran calls his phone. The way Pran who has always been in absolute control, jsut completely breaks down sobbing in Pat's arms. The way Pat can't hold his tears back at seeing Pran cry. The way he tries to still hold it back because he knows Pran needs the space to finally let go. Pat asking Pran if he likes Ink in ep4, and Pran crying in his bed. Idk if he was meant to cry, or if it just happened. But that was beautiful. I can't watch that scene without feeling like I want to punch Pat for puttiung PRan through that, and to give Pran a nice long hug. This shall be my last. InkPha darkroom scene!! They both did such a rgeat job there as well! I can still hear the way Pha's voice quivers when she talks to Ink. It was remarkable. And to think everyone was actually there for that scene (I think it was this scene?). Cos everyone wanted to see the girls act a GL scene. So it must have been pressurising, but they were amazing!

one thing you would change about the show if you could

Gonna say the same thing as Vi and Vishie. WAI NEEDS TO APOLOGISE TO PRAN! It does not matter if homophobia does not exist in the BB universe. You still broke your friend's trust. There's no way you are being made the victim here. You have to apologise and face the music. I am not saying that Wai dropping the curtain should not have happened. I can understand why he did that. But I can't understand why he got away scot-free, and Pran was left to chase after him with an apology. I do not like that they left this unaddressed.

Fave Show : Honestly am very impressed with how the blending turned out here. Fave Couple : First time trying out a different style with text effects, colouring those random heart effects, and I was very excited with the final look. Fave Episode : I thought it was a fun idea to explain the episode with song titles, and liked how it turned out. BB X Spiderman : Yes, It is not a happy edit, but I love spiderman and I loved the chance to mix it together with my BB love. Composition Gif Challenge : Again, not a happy edit. But I saw the quote and it reminded me that PatPran could have had an unhappy ending. So I wanted to explore that. It was fun trying to figure out all the shapes and placements. Gifted Buddy Series (1 and 2) : This was entirely a product of Vishie screaming at me with her AU ideas. Thank you for all the screaming Vish, I love it all and I love you! when did you watch bad buddy/join the fandom?

december 14, 2021, when i decided to binge what my twitter mutuals have been hyping about on my tl for weeks.

i had been on a hiatus prior to that, having just been suffering from julie and the phantoms brainrot, that it surprised me that my old fandom mutuals were moving on collectively to another show. so many tweets analyzing and raving about the show caught my attention because i'm all about those, those are my cup of tea, especially the night of episode 5 airing. i watched a clip of the rooftop scene and i wanted to know why they were crying and why one of them walked away, so i had it on my watchlist. i was still busy with schoolwork though so i didn't get to actually start watching until two weeks later, four days after episode 7 aired (hence 12/14/21) at 10 PM with my sheets pulled up. it was me and my phone against the world.

yes i made it worse because that week was my finals—but to my defense, to my defense, i had already finished half of it and was close in finishing the other half of my exams.

joined the fandom like not even an hour later after i binged 1-7 because i came on twitter and was met with a warm welcome.

favorite ship(s)

patpran and inkpa. i have my fair share of liking rare pairs (clary and izzy from shadowhunters tv, riley and farkle from girl meets world, quinn and rachel from glee) but for shows like these, nah. haha the main pairs really do it for me.

favorite character(s)

pat - mans was so relatable. sexually fluid, thought he had a crush on his different-gendered friend but turned out to be in love with someone who is of the same gender who was right in front of him the whole time. became closer to different-gendered friend after confessing to them i'm totally not projecting haha what do you man

ink - ah, ink nolastname my beloved. introduced as a red herring but ended up having her own sapphic love story?? no other girl in a bl could ever.

junior - i thought he'd just be a one-episode side character but him serving the story in multiple ways got to me. he felt like patpran's child which is so cute, but also a representation of the freedom patpran's own kid selves could have had.

favorite episode(s)

3 - falls under the romcom formula of pat just following pran around like a dumb oblivious puppy and while we the audience are attuned to pran's perspective, once you rewatch episode 3, you realize how much pat has not been lying about how he feels for both pran and ink and that his behavior says it all.

5 - do you even need to ask. i'm pat-biased so him speedrunning his sexuality was so funny and so devastating at the same time.

10 - some people have said that i'm a masochist for this one. but in all seriousness when i first watched it (which was via iWant and not YouTube, so i had no interruptions of 4 parts and got to watch all four parts immediately and earlier than everyone else because if you didn't know back when it was airing, the premiering of the parts would have an interval of around 5-15 minutes each) it felt so long and advanced the plot the most. it had all: inkpa getting together, patpran being adorable annoying bfs, and learning about their generational trauma. yikes! i loved the angst of it all.

one thing you would change about the show if you could

just one??? i mean haha sure...

the whole plot of wai getting mad at pran and how they resolved it. like come on man, the best friend hates when one lies to the other trope is so lame and overused. it's not just pat getting shot, it was the whole thing of the archi gang being unfairly mad without bothering to learn about why he lied. if they didn't feel like side characters then who are just there to put external conflict and less like actual friends who got hurt from the secret, they certainly acted most like it in episode 9.

what are your some of your favorite fanworks made by other people?

i made a fanfic recommendation thread and i have a couple of bbs edits saved in all of tiktok, instagram, and twitter, but if i had to really narrow it down, that'd be tough. hmm.

gif - i search @pranpats' pat breaking silently post every few months to make myself cry whenever i need a good one. my baby boy my baby boy i love him so much. i tuck him in bed and give him nong nao. btw the sharpening of this gif made pat's tears so much clearer and i want to hurl myself off of a balcony thanks.

fic - from the tide by fruti2flutie is a popular fanfic but it deserves the hype. i was blown away by its character dynamics and style of writing that i wrote an original story inspired from its worldbuilding/power system for my fiction workshop class. the river can't go back by unsungyellowraincoat is poetic heaven.

art - last one to propose loses by cubedmango + rooftop wedding by @thatgothsamurai = my our skyy actually.

animatic - Ur SOUL Ur BodY by RENii•EXE has so many shots that made me question my entire existence, namely pran pressing pat's hand into the bedsheets (0:41). it's so good. 10/10.

animation - I am not your ocean anymore by @architectxengineer is incredible. watching this broke my heart in the best possible way. the visual of how pran and pat stumble into their room in episode 11 is such a cute scene to fill the gap of.

edit - mae's safety net is a personal favorite because it was first uploaded on my birthday, i could never get tired of it as i kept watching it for months on end, and then there was that time it was archived on mae's instagram but she was kind enough to unarchive it for me (alongside her other incredible bbs edits!) huhu ily. and then another objectively well-made one is 7 things by mic that is deservedly popular on twitter, not to mention the very intentional use of colors from all of pran's markers/color pencils! HOW. COOL. IS. THAT.

text - In Fair Verona by @shortpplfedup is an analysis/commentary scenepost series that i fell in love with and tuned into as the episodes aired. it details the main romeo and juliet allegory as well as points out its differences. it's so so pretty and insightful and a delight to read. read all of it, guys. please.

(if you create fanworks) what are your favorite fanworks that you’ve made?

visual edit - among all my photo edits, my untranslatable words one almost made it here but i gotta hand it to my bad idea storyboard. if i could only draw, i would have animated the shit out of this tbh.

video edit - all the stars kind of flopped in reception which was a bummer considering no one knows i spent an embarrassingly long time working on it (...9 hours) but now you do haha.

fanfic - the rest are drabbles anyway so i don't even think this can count as a favorite if it's only one lmao but it's my Teen Wolf AU anamnesis (28k, 4 chapters, fin). really enjoyed the season 6 binge for educational purposes :DD and writing pranink, pranpa, patink, and the jindapat siblings was one of the best parts. my true ot4.

other - i wrote something about patpran that was not prose. it's post velum (which is latin for behind the curtain, the name of the novel) and it's poetry about each episode of bad buddy + our skyy. oh and my patpran as percabeth series that i mostly only did for like,, two people.

a song that makes you think of bbs (the ones in the show don’t count lol)

a taylor swift song feels like cheating because every ship can be associated to a taylor swift song but still. daylight is perfect. i once believed love would be burning red? pre-relationship patpran. the rivalry is so fiery that they thought they wouldn't have the space to be soft. but it's golden. established relationship patpran. they are the healthiest teenaged boyfriends ever. their relationship endures for years and glows.

idk anything else you want us to know?

i don't really agree with thinking bad buddy is the perfect show and that it had the perfect ending. i still understand the direction and the decision to go with those and other more questionable choices, but i like recognizing the show's flaws. tons and tons of it. from the technicalities of production to the actual writing. especially knowing the show's behind the scenes and what happened from the mock trailer's official announcement and the gp's initial (horrible) reception, to this show finally airing and its first four episodes being in the trenches when it comes to ratings (haha the bbs nugu era), to the ending of episode 5 breaking the internet to the point of being recognized in the following gmmtv 2022 presscon, then to the steep rise to the peak.

...especially knowing those made me love the show more inside out. tldr; i'm a "bad buddy is a very flawed show and i love it" type of person.

This is a little retrospective on things I made in 2023

Fic and video edits (mostly the latter, not counting clip compilations). Because slow progress is progress and it's nice to look at it all together. Putting this under a readmore since it's going to be long.

Video edits:

January: Julian x Garak: I Wanna Be Yours (Star Trek: DS9) This was a very simple edit I made in like a day (most complex edits take me a very long time; I'm a slow editor). The song doesn't fit my headcanon for them very strongly but it was fun, I'm just gonna quote part of what what I said in the description on YT "I really enjoy moments in my edits/making edits that focus on where characters get to kind of exist in contexts/settings/we can spend some time as a viewer in the moment with them." March: A lot of these I was working on wellll before March, the two succession vids are based on S3 stuff. Kendall Roy: Elijah (Succession) (mind the content warnings on this one) I actually think this is one of the best edits I've ever made and I'm quite proud of it overall. I would have liked to have done a better job of balancing the audio of Kendall's dialogue but otherwise I'm really pleased with it. Julian x Garak: Stay Soft (Star Trek: DS9) First finished more-complex garashir edit! I'm overall pretty happy with it. ✨🪩 pain 🪩 ✨ Roman Roy: The Metronome (Succession) (mind the content warnings) Quite happy with this one as well. I think a big reason that I tend to like my Succession edits so much (I think they're probably my best work) is just how good the cinematography of the show is and how much I vibe with it. April: Julian x Garak: Plans (Star Trek: DS9) (mind the cws) Bloc Party <3 Quoting how I described it in the tumblr post "I’ve got like a lot of thoughts about it but it’s broadly about like… violence and sacrifice and what people are capable of, ways people misunderstand Julian, and Garak and Julian’s friendship." I missed a frame of a following shot at one point, alas, but this was a fun very-dense with dialogue and lyrics one. June:

Tom x Shiv: Heat Lightning (Succession) More Mitski! (I have two other DS9 Mitski WIPs also) Like the quote above where I mention characters existing in contexts and settings, this really feels like a peak of me doing that for me, it's mostly them sitting/lying down/standing quietly and not being happy. Also did some juxtaposition against shots without people in it. Quite pleased with it.

August: Shax fancam (Good Omens) I did this in Final cut and Oh the effort into making those transitions happen. Here's the version on tiktok but I uh... the captions did not turn out well but they are synced to the audio. Aziraphale x Crowley: De Selby (1) (Good Omens) I made this one quite quickly as well, in under 2 days I think. Overall pretty happy with it except for the fact that I had a lot of trouble with the audio levels and I think re: overall structure of the edit that it lost some of its oomph towards the end, but I don't really know what I would have done differently with the latter. Some of the transitions in this were fairly complex and I'm mostly happy with them. The YouTube version unfortunately is pretty... artifact-y? November: I got Capcut sometime in the fall. Everything from here on out that I've posted this year has been made in that. Still vastly prefer Final Cut if I don't need fancy transitions, but harddrives and needing to update things etc. I'm also not putting anything else on YouTube until I finish my brightness edits. These two juxtaposition-y popular tiktok sound edits. (1) (2) (Star Trek: DS9) Quark bottom edit (18+) (Star Trek: DS9) - Very pleased with this. December: All of these were made pretty quickly (by my standards). a garashir edit to "Atlantis" by Seafret (Star Trek: DS9) Mostly made this out of wanting to finish something and the cuts feel a bit too fast for me but hey the act of creation! a short murder-y Garak phonk edit to BRODYAGA FUNK by Eternxlkz Mostly pleased with this. Still getting the hang of various transition things. a garashir edit to Placebo's "Running up that Hill" the text animation is kind of a mess (even on the version without the lyrics the captions are too big—I'm still figuring out caption size stuff re: what to choose) which is a shame, but I do like some of the clip timings (though some others don't quite work for me and I would have liked the cuts to have been a bit smoother in some places) and also hey made and finished something

Fic

Tuscany and New York (Succession) - [fic abandoned/not to be completed] Started this one and then chose not to finish it. However, one thing I was really enthused by was seeing part of an argument I wrote have a big parallel with what ended up in a scene on the actual show in S4. Felt very affirming re: my understanding of the characters.

with hope in your hands (Star Trek: DS9 [WIP] This is a fic I started as part of ectogeo's Garashir Wedding Registry. It's kind of a (mostly) Julian POV of the events in the continuity where ASIT/The Nexus/The Calling happened but it's also a reflection on some of Julian's closer relationships and where things related to marriage/possibilities of marriage came up within some of that. I'm currently almost done with chapter 4. 1: (Star Trek: DS9)

I think my lack of titles here and this standalone fic's place within a series probably has affected how likely folks are to read it but it's a short fic that is mostly Garak on the Defiant after it leaves Cardassia in Second Skin. Initially put most of this on tumblr but then properly put it on ao3.

Did you grow up to become what you wanted to be when you were a child? In terms of who I am as a person? Absolutely! My younger self would think that I am so cool. In terms of career, not really, but it’s pretty close to some of the ones I tossed around when I was little.

Are you in a relationship? If not, who is your crush if you have one? Nope and none!

What’s something you’re good at vs. something you’re bad at? I am good at literary analysis and I am bad at reading music. I was in band for years and have played a number of instruments, but all of that knowledge has left my brain. One day I’ll get back into it

I am a video editor! My favorite thing I edited this year is probably my Avenue 5 Lost Again video, but I also really loved my Wilson Fancam lol

And my favorite line I wrote was from my queer Madeline Bassett and Bertie heart-to-heart, which maybe I’ll post some day:

What’s something you would like to create content for? I need to finally finish the Spider-Verse video I've had in the works for literal years before the next movie comes out lol

What’s something you were excited about that turned out to be disappointing this year? I took a trip over the summer with my roommates and while the trip itself was a big success, the train ride was not as fun as I was hoping lol. We were on there for like ten hours each way and my friend I was sitting next to and I just could not sleep for more than half an hour at a time

What’s a hidden talent of yours? A lot of people don’t know that I’m a good actor! I did theatre for most of my life and though I am largely remembered for my contributions in tech crew, I spent a lot of time on stage too

What’s something you wish to have at this moment? More hours in the day lol

did you grow up to become what you wanted to be when you were a child? oh no. when I was really young I wanted to become an animal breeder (?!), then zoologist and in my teens I went into the typical STEM direction. Then after one uni semester of Physics I completely changed direction to Cultural Anthropology and now I’m in the online marketing business.

What’s something you were excited about that turned out to be disappointing this year? (2022) mhh Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, it already started 2020 but it finished in 2022. And it’s just… not good. :( I’m a huge fan of the classic GITS: SAC seasons so this one hurt.

what’s a hidden talent of yours? I don’t really know an answer for this.. maybe dancing without a care in the world when the right music is playing since most times only strangers (I often go to clubs alone) see me doing that?

are you religious? no but I love to use “jesus” “god damn it” as swear words all the time. and in English, not in my actual native tongue. because Swiss German cursing just doesn’t sound right.

whats something you wish to have at this moment? well. a date with someone pointy, lean and tall with the right kind of sharp cheekbones and nice hair would be cool. 👉👈 otherwise, idk, a Starbucks hot chocolate.

Surprisingly, it seems so. I wanted "to be famous" and an artist so I'm working on that. Not for the fame exactly but tiny Laucha was really ambitious. (I wanted to be a veterinarian actually but I've always loved art somehow so, yeah)

Nope. Right now my crush is estabilidad emocional/psicólogica y física. However young Fede D' Elía is a good option too.

Uhh, tough one. I think I'm good at making up scenes for fics in my head (not so much at writing them as I'd like). I'm not good at any kind of confrontation. Or making edits/fancams.
