Squid gets into dollmaking but it's weird.
This one might take some explaining.
I have this Final Fantasy XIV OC, Dollmaker. Longer version explained here. Short version is that it's a voidsent that lives under the city, can swap out people's body parts at will, is in a situationship with Martyn the Blue Mage, and is real into Elegant Gothic Lolita.
(Yes, it looks a lot like No-Face from Spirited Away. Yes, I'm aware. Yes, Ghibli is probably sending lawyers after me. I should have made it purple or something.)
It turns out that when you write 31k words of fanfiction for your OC and commission a bunch of fanart for it, you get very attached to the OC. Unfortunately I'm not great at 2D art...but I did just get into amigurumi. When one cannot draw the OC, one must crochet the OC.
First was the Mk 1 Prototype Dollmaker, which just has a single wireset for the spine. It helps that Dollmaker's basically a long tube with legs, so the anatomy wasn't the trickiest thing in the world. The wires are actually a set of napkin rings I picked up at a thrift store.

The Mk 1 is pretty simple besides that, with the face embroidered onto a flat disc. The feet designs were taken from a friend's Wizard Lizard crochet pattern, while the arms are actually squid tentacles from a different pattern. A lot of it was a learning process. It's my first time making a critter by piecing together scraps of other designs, rather than going off a single coherent design.

Today I finished the Mk 2, which is a little larger and more complicated. The tongue on the Mk 2 is the leafy shaped wire end of one of the napkin rings wrapped in red yarn, with an embroidered red mouth. The legs also have wire in them, though the arms were a bit small for it.

And of course we have a little Martyn for Dollmaker to hang out with. This is a wooden fireman doll I painted, drew a goatee on, and made a little vest for. I'm hoping to do more doll clothes for him in the future as well.

Bonus cat photos for scale:

Alright I don't have time for more doodles so have these ones

Context under the cut cuz spoilers for both Ruined Lullaby and Secret of the mimic
So for a while now I've been playing with the idea of Moon experimenting with transferring Remnant but I am not committed to it.
however for the sake of THIS idea, When he discovers Vernon and Cassidy's remnant within some mini music men he requests they let him attempt to transfer them into endos that have sound discs. Allowing them to transmit their image onto them.
Only Vernon takes him up on this, and the idea I have right now for the secret of the mimic tie in is that Moon changed his mind halfway through the project, the whole thing feeling wrong.
Which Vernon doesn't resent him for but he wants that body he was promised, and conveniently Gregory wants to look into where the mimic came from, Something Vernon knows from his time as a mini music man shuffling through all the left behind documents. So he makes a deal with Gregory for him to finish Moon's project in exchange Vernon will take Gregory to Murray's costume manor.
NOW the mimic is obviously not there. He's under the plex. So I don't know what the threat will be, maybe Mimic 2 but since I think mimic 1 was broken down to make mimic 2 idk maybe just fazbear Entertainment being like " Hey?! WTF are you doing here"
But basically the pair snooping through and finding the remnants of what happened in secret of the mimic and discovering what Arnold discovered over 40 years prior....
Also Arnold is Vernon's grandfather whom he never met so he's nosy.

PAC: Sister-to-Sister Messages
As promised, I said that I would post messages this weekend in regard to Women’s History Month based on the results of yesterday’s poll. This reading will be all about sister-to-sister dynamics. I am so thankful for the support that I have been receiving for these readings. It’s much appreciated! 🤌🤌 Anyway, today is the last day of the five dollar flash sale!! All readings will be $5 today! Come get it if you want it!!! Without further ado, choose your sister duo.
*** Disclaimer: These readings are meant to uplift, relate to, and/or inspire women!
Left-to-Right (1-3): Chloe and Halle, Beyoncé and Solange, Tia & Tamera.

Pile 1: If you resonate with the photo of Chloe and Halle, then this is your pile. First of all, your potential hasn’t even peaked yet, Pile One. Your sister wants you to know that you should continue to pursue your dreams. I feel like you have the tendency to start stuff but not finish it. What’s that about? She’s noticed this since yall were young but probably thought you would’ve grown out of it. But she still thinks that you will prosper. Those who resonate with this pile seem to be the baby in the family. You may feel like your sister acts too much like your mother, but she just wants what’s best for you. I feel like your sister is very successful/accomplished & you may feel that pressure to follow her footsteps. But in reality, she just wants you to be you. Be an individual, babe. And the last message that I got from this pile was kind of funny. Your sister feels like you work too hard. Where’s your boo thang? You need to let some stress off with a sexual partner chile, especially if someone’s been putting in effort to talk to you. Give them a chance! Maybe you can find a creative spark from messing around with them! In the end, your sister is supportive of your creative pursuits. She just wants you to put in more effort.
Cards Used: The Star: King of Wands, Four of Cups, Prince of Wands, Page of Discs (RX), 3 of Discs.
extras: “you’re being uptight.” “i’d put my life on the line for you.” spotlight. errands. ADD. chronic lip licker. “you stole my clothes.” new wardrobe. a kiss on the cheek. pillows. voluptuous. chanel. argan oil. tree climbing. golf. tennis. pierced earlobe. “i didn’t get you anything, sorry.”
Pile 2: If you resonate with the photo of Beyoncé and Solange, this is your pile. Damn Pile Two, you’re quite the looker aren’t you? Your sister sees the physical growth that you’ve made in the past two years and she is in awe of it! You’re absolutely flawless dear! But don’t forget to hold onto your vision. I feel like this pile is in high school? Maybe a freshman in college. But you have a lot of admirers. I feel like your sister is younger than you & they feel like you’re not paying attention to her as you as you used to. She feels like you mistreat her, not necessarily on purpose. It may be because you’re so busy. She wants you to not forget about them. Your sister is proud of your pursuit of higher learning (if you’re in college). She is going to follow in your footsteps because of this. But make sure you keep your promises, babe. Go to that yogurt shop with her. Go shopping with her at the mall. Go to the movies. Hell, go to the park with her. Paint with her. Spend quality time with your sister so she can stop feeling this way!
Cards Used: Nine of Cups, Ace of Discs, Four of Discs, Five of Swords, 7 of Cups (RX), Princess of Cups, 10 of Discs.
extras: strawberry & banana smoothie. teenage dirtbag. furry boots. sweet treats. calming down after nightmare. salad. elephant lover. french tips. sparkles. ribbons. bows. “speak up, honey”. abbott elementary. “i want more you.” “honesty is everything.” “keep my secret.” conceited by remy ma.
Pile 3: Last but not least, if you resonate with the photo of Tia and Tamera, then this your pile. Aw, Pile Three, your sister regrets the last conversation y’all had. I feel like this conversation could have been about how personal choices affect loved ones, i.e. bringing around terrible dating partners/friends, not paying off debts in time. It also could have been a conversation about codependency or feeling smothered. It feels like your sister understands why you left; you wanted to put yourself first. It took her some time to realize that y’all can be separate and still have love for you. Y’all need time apart to grow. Do you have a twin, Pile Three? Or were you extremely connected to your sister on a soul level at some point? There will be some time for y’all to reconnect but just not right now. There’s some stubborn energy between the both of you but y’all will reconnect once there is momentum in the both of you guys’ lives. She doesn’t hate you for being independent, but she does hate the way things ended, Pile Three.
Cards Used: Eight of Cups, The World, Five of Swords, Four of Discs, Two of Wands, Nine of Discs, Strength, 7 of Wands.
extras: “i have the balls, you don’t.” “it’s my prerogative.” oil and vinegar. liv and maddie. perfectionism. credit card debt. “drink up.” doodlebob. responsibilities. the old days. unplugged cords. cauliflower. fake vegan. bad eyesight. chloe bailey. drinking water. messy bedroom.

some bideo game half-reviews from the past couple months because i havent actually finished all of them but i feel like talking about them
super mario wonder: very cute, very fun and funny, very mario. i play as daisy because the funny sounds she makes brings me joy. unfortunately my loan ran out before i could complete it so i gotta wait another million years before i can borrow it again.
shin megami tensei 3 nocturne: this is so obtuse and crunchy but i appreciate what it's doing. at the same time, the dungeons are like an open world game: big, interesting to look at, but nothing's really going on in them. i made it to the obelisk, learned there's over 30 floors in it, and returned it to the library. someday i'll finish it. maybe.
pikmin 1: good, old, aged fairly well, but i don't like how one random pikmin will trip and be left behind when you're leading the squad. but oh well. this game is pure vibes and pure gameplay, and i love that. this game probably would have given 8 year old me endless anxiety.
pikmin 2: i haven't actually finished this one yet but it's funny. it is a little frustrating that i can switch between olimar and louie but can't tell louie to go somewhere on his own. makes me want to play pikmin 3 for a third time.
star of providence: holy shit this is a Good Game. i loved animal well and i already put nearly 50 hours into star of providence, so i'm excited to see what bigmode publishes next... skully is my fave ship because it's silly.
stellar blade: i bought a ps5 secondhand from someone and he left the disc in the console and said i can hold onto it until he feels like asking for it back so i gave it a whirl and WOW this is boring! i dgaf about the gooner agenda, i'm talking gameplay and only gameplay, which is an absolute snoozefest. i played nier automata and really enjoyed it btw.
mhwilds: everyone stop talking and let me hunt!!!! everyone stop talking and let me hunt!!!!!!!!!!

Blackberry Pie with Crumb Topping
Serving: 12
Ingredients
For the pie crust
1 ¼ cups (185g) gluten free flour blend
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
½ teaspoon fine sea salt
½ cup (113g) unsalted butter cold and cut into cubes
5-6 tablespoons ice water
For the crumb topping
1 cup (148g) gluten free flour blend
½ cup (100g) light brown sugar packed
¼ teaspoon fine sea salt
6 tablespoons unsalted butter room temperature
For the pie filling
20 ounces frozen blackberries
½ cup (74g) gluten free flour blend
⅔ cup (133g) granulated sugar
1 ½ teaspoons lemon juice
Directions
In a large bowl, whisk the flour, sugar, and salt together. Add the cubes of butter and use a pastry blender (or two forks) to cut the butter in until it's incorporated and the mixture is coarse, with pea sized pieces of butter throughout.
Add the ice water, one tablespoon at a time, and mix until dough just comes together when pressed. Use your hands to form into a round disc. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
Make the crumb topping: Combine the flour, brown sugar, and salt in a small bowl. Add the butter and use your hands to incorporate. Chill in the refrigerator while you finish the pie crust and filling.
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Remove the pie dough from the refrigerator. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to a 12-inch circle. Transfer to a glass pie plate and crimp or trim the edges.
Make the filling: Toss the frozen berries with the flour, sugar, and lemon juice. Transfer to the prepared crust.
Sprinkle the crumb topping onto the pie. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until the center of the pie is bubbling and the crumble is slightly golden. Cool completely before slicing.
Notes
If the pie dough is too crumbly to work with, add more water to it with your hands when rolling.
Do not thaw the frozen berries before preparing and baking.

TXT Golden Disc Awards voting under the cut 🚨
not sure if moas on tumblr know, but TXT has been nominated for a Golden Disc Award.

the category TXT has been nominated for is Most Popular Artist Award (Male). it's a fan-voted award, meaning the artist(s) who get the most votes in total across three apps (mubeat, fandomchart, and my1pick) get the award.
considering that 2024 has been an extremely busy and demanding year for TXT (2 comebacks + all that entails along individual schedules and content shooting) and the fact that they've never had a break in the 6 years since they've debuted, TXT will take a break/hiatus after they've finished their year-end schedules and attended the Golden Disc Awards.

this means that the Golden Disc Awards will be the last thing that TXT attends before they take time off, and moas on other platforms (insta, twitter/"x") are coming together to vote for TXT to receive the award.
this is TXT's current ranking across all three apps, landing them in second place overall with a 200,000+ gap.

the voting period ends on the 30th, leaving only ten days left for fans to vote. despite how big the gap seems, it's still possible for TXT to win if moas spread the word and vote across all three apps (on multiple email accounts, if possible) everyday for the remaining ten days left.
to vote across all three apps:
1. please download the apps Mubeat, Fandomchart, and My1Pick on your device's app store/Google Play/etc.
2. log in with your account(s) and set up a profile.
3. to vote "automatically," you can do a one-time purchase and pay for the voting items. to vote manually, you'll need to watch ads.
* you have to make sure that the item you're watching ads for will go towards voting (Mubeat - voting tickets, Fandomchart - hearts, My1Pick - purple hearts) plus there's a voting limit. yes, it is tiring but also yes it is doable.
* Mubeat has a limit of 5 ads per hour
* Fandomchart tells you the time you have between ads (5 mins-1hr)
* My1Pick ads renew every hour
* after accumulating tickets/hearts, you go onto the vote section and vote for who you want. each app has a limit of 20 votes per day.
if anyone needs extra help on how to vote, please don't hesitate to ask/DM people you know who are actively voting, and yes this includes myself.
if you are a moa or if you simply would like to, please vote for TXT on mubeat, fandomchart, and my1pick. if you feel that all three apps are too much for you, even just mass voting on one app helps a little. thank you.

2023
Ice Age 2 The Meltdown game.
On the 31st July 2023, I installed Ice Age 2: The Meltdown onto my system to test-run it on Microsoft's Windows 11.
I connected a portable Liteon DVD-ROM optical drive to my Mini-PC to install it using the 2 CD discs.
Here is a picture of me with the game box!
Ice Age 2: The Meltdown, based on Blue Sky Studios 2006 film of the same name, was developed by Eurocom and published by Vivendi Universal Games (Sierra Entertainment).
The game works on the latest versions of Windows and also works on Linux using Wine (PlayOnLinux).
I put Disc 1 in first and opened the auto-run from the disc. I clicked the 'Install Ice Age 2: The Meltdown' option from the list. The game uses InstallShield software to install itself onto Windows. I switched the discs around towards the end of the install. Once it had finished installing onto the system, I chose to launch the game.
After going through the intros, I pressed the enter key to go to the main menu. Firstly before starting the game, I configured my favourite keyboard layout. Afterwards I then started a new game and selected a save game slot (Slot A).
As I was playing Ice Age 2, I got to the Forest 2 stage, shortly after going through this stage, Windows 11 asked if I wanted to run the game in 'Compatibility Mode', I chose to run the game with this. It offered this as it knew the game application running was intended for an older version of Windows. However compatibility mode didn't work and the game crashed to the desktop.
The app process name for the game is 'IceAge2pc.exe' (32-bit) when running. The CD (Disc 1) is required to play the game.
I re-launched the game and had to re-configure everything and start from the beginning again, however the game seemed to work much better without running it in the legacy mode Windows offered.
I tried again and successfully played the game up to the end of the Maelstrom level, completing this stage which in my opinion is the best level in the game! Here are the in-game pictures I took with the camera of some of the stages. I had to use HDR camera effect for some of the pictures. The levels shown in the pictures are the Waterpark, Forest, Ice River and Maelstrom.
I had to use my camera for the pictures as the game doesn't allow for print-screening due to Windows copy protection. When running Ice Age 2 in windowed mode, if you click out of the game it will darken the game screen and pause everything until you click on it again.
The game defaults to a screen resolution of 640x480, so I changed it to the maximum resolution of 1024x768. Interestingly the game didn't scale to full screen as when I tried it previously on another PC running Windows 10, but stretched to fit the screen instead. This was because of the 'Gaming Mode' function which is enabled in Windows 10. This mode is disabled by default in Windows 11 and the game worked perfectly without it. However, the game always runs in the 4.3 aspect ratio, but uses a fisheye lens effect which defaults to the 16.9 aspect ratio, so changing that fixed the gaming experience on this monitor. You can read more about display settings for the game in my write-up.
Audio played through my Mini-Rig Bluetooth speaker, which sounded great! The game uses a stereo sound set-up, which can act as surround through headphones.
Back in 2020, Dad gave me a copy of the Ice Age 2: The Meltdown video game which he found on eBay. I did a detailed review of the game and an unboxing review.
See my reviews in the links below:
There are a number of cheat codes you can enter in the pause menu, these include unlocking all the bonus content and the ability to unlock the 'Level Select' menu, plus more.
See all the cheat codes for the game here:
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/pc/931239-ice-age-2-the-meltdown/cheats
Playlist featuring all the levels:

A link to the complete in-game music composed by Jim Croft:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLO4jlmGoc6uDm0QVLyMqURTP2ciHWjCF_
Overall despite being 17 years old, running the game on Windows 11 worked a treat! It was great fun playing Ice Age 2: The Meltdown again as it is fun, humorous and challenging. Its music is memorable, vibrant and colourful just like its movie soundtrack!
However, I think that both Ice Age 2: The Meltdown (2006) and its Activision sequel Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009) should be made available as a digital download through game distribution services such as Valves Steam alongside Ice Age: Scrat's Nutty Adventure (2019) to keep them running into the future without the need for a disc.
For a full list of all the Ice Age video-games see:
https://iceage.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_Ice_Age_video_games
See my video below. See videos underneath for the in-game bosses and also bosses in Scrat's Nutty Adventure on YouTube.

These Apple Butterscotch Hand Pies combine sweet apples and rich butterscotch flavors in a portable dessert.
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and diced. 1/4 cup cold water. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced. 1/3 cup butterscotch chips. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1 tablespoon lemon juice. 1 egg, beaten for egg wash.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the cold, diced butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add cold water to the mixture, mixing until the dough comes together. Form the dough into a disc, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Preheat your oven to 375F 190C. In a separate bowl, mix diced apples, butterscotch chips, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and lemon juice. On a floured surface, roll out the chilled dough to about 1/8 inch thickness. Using a round cookie cutter, cut out circles from the dough. Place a spoonful of the apple-butterscotch mixture onto one half of each dough circle. Fold the other half of the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges for a secure seal. Brush the tops of the hand pies with beaten egg for a golden finish. Place the hand pies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the hand pies are golden brown. Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
Prep Time: 45 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes

coming out..
LMFAOOO,,msorry i needed that title
as a selfshipper. yeah guys absolutely UNBELIEVABLE/j
since i cant talk on twt about it,, cause theres at leasr ONE nonsharing i dont want to upset bc i like their art and stuff,, and opinions too,,
i guess ill say smth here!!! because other than that i have irls and disc but i dont have any large communities i can talk and do stuff with so. maybe the couple friends i have here will be like “what the heck!!!” and let me explode with excitement as i explain the most idiotic things about my selfships
also no i DONT have really cute names for my selfships thaf can be used as tags. and right NOW i think i only have TWO ??? two selfships??? we MIGHT have thsoe expand into three or four. (polyamorous bitch)
im like a cole and kai ninjago selfshipper. a lava selfshipper if u will. and then i have mark grayson invincible but i also am really attached to william so idk what that one really is. its also newer so!!! but on the lava selfship i have so much thought out. i have a very dumb fanfic about it. the one person i showed said they liked it! which is great! but its also a CROSSOVER fanfiction with characrer replacement. irs so bad.
ANYWAY YEAH,, more under cut about my sona for lava selfship. bc this is already lretth long and im not tryna torture any friend or future friend with this. HAHA
wait how does this work WHY ISNT ITNLETTING ME PUT A CUT THINGY. whats happening. oh my god guyss is this showing how little i make posts like this or what.
OK SORRY I HAD TO USE A SECRET TECHNIQUENFOR IT TO WORK ANYWAY MOVING ALONG.L
basically i onky have a sona for lava selfship as of now. bc im very weird abojt mark and william. i will explain this later.
so lava selfship sona. bc i used them in a crossover universe, its hard to think of how they know cole and kai, but one of my friends started calling them the jade ninja. and we know harumi is the jade princess right?. something like that? so i was thinking my sona could be introduced during THAT arc. but guess who only just finished s13 of ninjago as of posting this? THIS GUY. and also this specific idea was before i realized i selfshipped with kai. im a complicated guy 😭😭
plus theres more to the selfship and actually SHIPPING CHARACTERS thing. its so bad. um anywaysss
my sonas name is finn crowe! his LONGER name. like full name. is THORFINN CROWE. and he is based off of my baby cat, finn (whos full name is also thorfinn! which is based off i think vinland saga mc? blame my stepdad). mainly in coloration because my cat is gorgeous. pics next (of my cat and a design sketch i made in a simpler style cause fuck it im not a digital artist,,)

anyway the design is kinda a concept geared more towards the early season outfits bc ONE DAY i will actually study wth is going on with the ninja fits but NOT TODAY. and not then either. but yeah thats thorfinns concept. also his hair is a gradient i just didnt do that for that image bc i am a noob artist wnd do not actually know how i would blend the hair into a GOOD gradient. im actively thinking about it but shhhh
anyway yeah! he might have the power of heightened senses to a degree or some other power my best irl friend came up with thru searching the web for non canon powers. but idk because i forgot what all the others are. DAMN am i bad at this! but yeah this is yumesona i guess
onto second yumeship! mark and william and sona currently not existing. um. so this is fun
lets first explain that i am 1. trans and 2. fucked in the brain. yeah i dont know whats wrong with me. but for this specifically i dont know whether i want to BE mark or be WITH mark for this kind of thing. and i dont think being mark is an option but we ignore any realistic aspect. See i very much DO like mark the way that makes sense for selfship BUT i also like william THROUGH mark. like,,
i personally do like william and all! but its not the same way i like cole or kai. though i can see myself being mark and liking william. is this roleplay? i dont fucking know. but like WITH mark or AS mark i like william.
oh and another comment about transness! finn MIGHT also be ftm trans like me OR just not trans bc i dont like my body why would i give it to him???? like for fantasy and all it doesnt do much but for what i WANT to see more id just hit him with the femboy ray. im sk ass at explaining hahaha. and um back to mark and will! i can see the yumesona as a WOMAN. which is NOT real me. but i coukd also see them as whatever I AM. like i wouldnt mind too juch if theynwere ftm trans. bc thats interestng idk BUT as a person who doesnt have interests in certain aspects of being a woman (physically and mentally). they SHOULD ABE A MAN. i just have nothing plotted out here but a simole vision of a drawing i made. in which mark is there but idk if william or my sona (who woukd both be trans in this deoiction regardless of who they are) is there. i also forgot to kention i could also depic myself as WILLIAM. which is ANOTHER thing that fucks with me. its all weirdly roleplayish i dont like it but i dont inow what tomdo ☺️☺️☺️
urge to shout out my buddy emmet for having his shit together. you go emmet i dont expect u to see this but hell YEAH i hope you did NOT auffer as much as i am rn.
anyway yeah what else can i say. this is,, whats happening,,, If im feeling particularly brave i MIGHT share the ansoljtely HORRIBLY WRITTEN yume fanfic but it IS a dp x ninjago character replacement fic so,,, its EXTRA unusual. and also my selfship isnt the main thing at first. i decided to put in what i BELIEVE is destinyshippingl UeaH 😅😅😅😃😃😃
hmu if ur interested in reading smth that bad idk 😭😭😭 ANYWAY RANT OVER IM SO SORRY FOR ANYONE WHO READ THRU THIS ALL THE WAY!!
#also more for the tags- i MIGHT have created JUST a ship for a threadville thing but it feels kind of personal to some degree. but like also#not rally selfship at ALL. idk its another poly ship with an oc i guess hehahahedh#self ship#self shipping#yumeship#yumesona#queer artist#self sona#yume community#yumeshipping

Differences in working principles between double roller press granulators and disc granulators
Double roller press granulators and disc granulators are two common types of pelletizing equipment, and their working principles differ significantly.
Double Roller Press Granulator
1.Working Principle
The double roller press granulator relies on two counter-rotating rollers. Material is fed into the gap between the rollers. As the rollers rotate, the material is subjected to intense pressure. This pressure forces the material into the mold holes on the roller surfaces, shaping it into specific forms, such as round or oval pellets. Under high pressure, the material fills the mold holes, solidifies, and is extruded as finished pellets.
2.Applications
This machine is ideal for producing high-density, high-strength pellets, such as fertilizers, animal feed, or wood chips. By compressing raw materials between the rollers, it creates dense pellets that are easier to store, transport, and use. It’s also commonly used for biomass fuel production, like wood or straw pellets.

Disc Granulator
1.Working Principle
The disc granulator features a rotating disc. Material is placed on the disc and rolls as the disc spins. During this tumbling motion, a binder (such as liquid adhesive) is sprayed onto the material. The binder causes small particles to stick together, gradually forming larger pellets as they roll and grow on the disc until reaching the desired size.
2.Applications
This machine is better suited for low-density, low-strength pellets, such as organic fertilizers or wood-based products. It processes organic waste, crop straw, or livestock manure into granular organic fertilizer, improving fertilizer efficiency and reducing environmental pollution.
In summary, the double roller press granulator excels at producing strong, uniform pellets, while the disc granulator creates smoother, rounder pellets. Choosing the right equipment depends on the specific requirements of the end product.

Everything You Need to Know About Flat Back Earrings: Style Meets Comfort
What Are Flat Back Earrings?
Flat back earrings are a type of earring designed with a flat disc at the back instead of the traditional butterfly or clutch back. The front of the earring is typically attached via a threaded post or a push-fit mechanism, making the design more secure and less irritating than conventional earrings.
Originally developed for body piercings—especially lip or cartilage piercings—the design has since evolved and become mainstream, now widely used for ear piercings of all types. Whether it’s your first lobe piercing or a more adventurous helix or tragus placement, flat back earrings are an excellent option.
Why Flat Back Earrings Are Gaining Popularity
Flat back earrings are gaining momentum in the jewelry world for several compelling reasons:
1. Comfort Like Never Before
The flat, smooth backing sits flush against your skin, eliminating the poking or pressure often associated with traditional earring posts. This feature is particularly important for side sleepers or anyone who wears earrings continuously.
2. Increased Security
Thanks to their screw-on or push-fit design, flat back earrings are much more secure than their traditional counterparts. This makes them perfect for valuable earrings that you don’t want to risk losing.
3. Sleek, Minimalist Look
Flat back earrings often come in simple, chic designs that appeal to minimalists and fashion-forward individuals alike. They lie flatter against the ear, giving a seamless, clean appearance.
4. Ideal for Sensitive Skin
High-quality flat back earrings are usually made from hypoallergenic materials like surgical steel, titanium, or solid gold. These materials are ideal for people with sensitive ears or metal allergies.
5. Perfect for Sleeping and Everyday Wear
Because of their flush backing, flat back earrings are often marketed as nap earrings, designed specifically for people who want to wear earrings 24/7, including during sleep. The comfort and security they offer make them ideal for everyday use.
Types of Flat Back Earrings
Just like traditional earrings, flat back earrings come in a variety of styles and mechanisms. Here's a breakdown of the most common types:
1. Threaded Flat Back Earrings
These have a post with threads, and the decorative end screws onto it. This style is very secure and commonly used in cartilage piercings.
Pros:
Extremely secure
Ideal for long-term wear
Cons:
Slightly harder to remove
Takes time to screw and unscrew
2. Push-Pin or Push-Fit Flat Backs
This design involves a thin, slightly curved post that “pushes” into the back, locking into place with tension.
Pros:
Easy to insert and remove
Great for people new to flat back earrings
Cons:
May loosen over time with repeated removal
3. Fixed Flat Back Posts
Some earrings are designed with a permanent flat back post, and only the front part is interchangeable. These are often found in high-end body jewelry and custom-fit designs.
Materials to Look For
When choosing flat back earrings, it’s important to consider the material, especially if you plan on wearing them daily. Here are some top choices:
Titanium: Lightweight, hypoallergenic, and very durable.
14K or 18K Gold: A luxurious, skin-friendly option.
Surgical Stainless Steel: Affordable and safe for most skin types.
Niobium: Another hypoallergenic metal with a beautiful finish.
Avoid nickel-based alloys or cheap costume jewelry, which can cause irritation and allergic reactions.
Ideal Use Cases for Flat Back Earrings
Flat back earrings shine in a variety of scenarios:
1. Sleeping Comfortably
Whether you’re a side sleeper or someone who doesn’t like removing earrings every night, the flat back design is unmatched in comfort. You won’t feel it pressing into your neck or getting tangled in your hair.
2. For Children
Flat back earrings are a safer and more comfortable choice for children. Their secure fit and smooth back help prevent accidental pulling or loss.
3. Multiple Piercings
If you have multiple piercings in close proximity, flat backs prevent clutter and discomfort, allowing for a more cohesive and clean look.
4. Professional or Discreet Settings
Need a subtle yet stylish look for work? Flat back earrings in neutral tones or small gemstones are discreet enough for professional environments while still adding a touch of elegance.
5. Active Lifestyles
Whether you’re into yoga, running, or swimming, flat back earrings won’t fall out or get in the way. Their flush design reduces the risk of snagging on clothes or gear.
Caring for Flat Back Earrings
To maintain the longevity and cleanliness of your flat back earrings, follow these care tips:
Clean Regularly: Soak in warm water and mild soap, then gently clean with a soft brush.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Take earrings off before using hairspray, perfume, or skincare products near the ears.
Check for Tightness: Periodically check threaded earrings to make sure they’re still securely fastened.
Store Properly: Keep them in a soft pouch or lined jewelry box to avoid scratches or damage.
Styling Tips
Here’s how to make the most out of your flat back earrings:
Minimalist Look: Pair small studs with clean hairstyles and neutral clothing for a modern, effortless look.
Layering: Use flat backs in second or third lobe piercings alongside hoops or drop earrings.
Pop of Color: Choose gemstone flat backs for a subtle splash of color that can complement your outfit or eye color.
Mixed Metals: Don’t be afraid to mix gold and silver flat backs for a trendy, fashion-forward style.
Are Flat Back Earrings Worth It?
Absolutely. Flat back earrings offer unparalleled comfort, security, and versatility. Whether you’re a jewelry minimalist or a bold fashion enthusiast, flat backs can seamlessly integrate into your everyday look.
The convenience of not needing to remove them for sleep, exercise, or work makes them a worthwhile investment. They’re particularly appealing for anyone with sensitive skin, young children, or those who wear earrings for extended periods.
Final Thoughts
As the jewelry world evolves, so does our expectation for comfort and functionality. nap earrings are leading the charge, offering a solution that doesn’t force us to choose between beauty and practicality.
They’re more than just a trend—they’re a revolution in earring design. Whether you’re looking for something you can wear to bed, the gym, or a boardroom meeting, flat back earrings are an ideal choice. With various styles, materials, and mechanisms to choose from, there’s a pair out there for everyone.

march wrap up! ༘˚⋆𖦹.˚
we are officially 1/4 through 2025 gang !!

books ✧˖°.🎧📖
This month I did something big and got a Kobo e-reader!! I had sold my Garmin sport watch for the same price and after MANY weeks of deliberation, I finally got the Kobo Clara Colour!
Now onto my reads for this month:
After finishing The Gilded Cage (the 2nd book in The Prison Healer series) on the 28th of February, I immediately started The Blood Traitor because I was SO excited to continue the trilogy!! had originally planned to get through the whole thing and focus on this one book this month like I did last month, but I got really scared of getting burnt out from basically only digesting this one series for 3 months straight, and decided to put it on pause for a while. I picked it up again near the end of March.
This month I finished listening to Lights Out by Navessa Allen and gave it a 3.75 out of 5 stars! I had started it in January but felt like I needed a bit of a break after reading The Kiss Quotient. It was so WEIRD but oddly enjoyable and made me laugh out loud a LOT.
I started listening to I'm Glad My Mom Died on the 20th but didn't pick it up again afterwards, since I was focused on TGC and my new Kobo. I do want to pick it up again maybe in May or when I have time though!
Started listening to How Not To Fit In by Charlotte Mia and Jess Joy on the 19th but then I fell asleep for a bit and lost track of where I was rip :,). So now I have to retrace my steps to figure out where I left off. I'm enjoying it so far :D
After spending HOURS setting up my Kobo and Calibre, I decided to start reading Legendborn after seeing all the hype online for Oathbound and I wanted to read some urban fantasy to switch things up a bit. It was a bit of a rough start since I wanted to push myself to read it on my phone (this was pre-kobo) but that was just bleh, then I couldn't decide if I just wanted to switch to the audiobook, since I'm using my friend's Nextstory account, but that felt like I would just be 'giving up'. The story is really interesting so far though!!
Movies + TV ⋆˚✿˖°
My partner and I decided to watch the film 65 starring Adam Driver and I really liked it! The dinosaurs were REALLY cool and the story was interesting. Watched on 13-03 and gave it 3,5 out of 5 stars 🦕
My partner and I decided to go to the cinema on 22-03 since we were both waiting for Mickey 17 to come out. THIS MOVIE IS SO WEIRD I LOVE IT. Ngl I totally forgot Bong Joon Ho wrote and directed this film until the credits and then went "Oh yeah!! oops". Because of that I spent the whole film going "Wtf is even happening why is this movie so weird??" /pos. I LOVED this movie and def want to rewatch later this year. 5 out of 5 stars.
I went thrifting last week and got a double disc version of The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy since I somehow went 20 years without ever seeing a single minute of either film. My partner and I both watched the 1st film and weren't really as hyped as we were confused lmao. It's not a bad film by any means but we just didn't grasp at that moment that it was a setup for A LOT of unanswered questions. He fell asleep while we started the next movie, but I was locked IN. The Bourne Supremacy is SO GOOD. I can't wait to watch the next one! TBI watched on 29-03 and 3,5/5 stars. TBS watched on 30-03 5/5 stars.
I also started watching Severance!! Fantastic, gimme 14 of 'em 🤌🤌 AMAZINGGG. I'm currently on S2 Ep2 but I'm scared to finish because I want to experience it all over again like the first time but that's impossible rippp.
Other ‧₊˚🖇️✩
Quit my job that I hated but I got another one that I'll be starting in April!!
I unfortunately haven't had much time to engage in knitting this year, but I did get to work on my 2nd Sunday Sweater a bit during a dinner earlier this month :))
Plans for April ˚˖𓍢ִ໋🌷͙֒✧˚.🎀༘⋆
Finish Legendborn and The Blood Traitor
Finish Severance because my Apple TV free trial ends in like less than 2 weeks lmao
I have SO many books that I want to read so I want to create a TBR of sorts without making it feel like I have to read those books, but more like a checklist.
Try to find more time to knit
my current reads (updating regularly) | my Storygraph
That was all for this month!

Disc publishing systems offer numerous benefits for data management, making them a reliable option for organizations across a variety of sectors. Here are some of the key benefits:
1. Security and Data Integrity
The most important advantage of using disc publishing systems for data management is the level of security they provide. Unlike cloud storage or online data sharing, which can be vulnerable to hacking, data stored on physical discs is secure and less susceptible to cyber threats.
Once data is burned onto a disc, it becomes read-only, meaning it cannot be changed or deleted. This makes discs an ideal medium for storing sensitive information such as financial records, legal documents and medical data.
Optical discs have a long shelf life, with CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs lasting anywhere from 25 to 100 years when properly stored. This durability ensures that your data remains intact and accessible for decades, making disc publishing systems a reliable option for long-term data preservation.
2. Cost-effective Solution
For organizations that need to manage large amounts of data, disc publishing systems offer a cost-effective alternative to cloud storage or other digital storage solutions. The initial investment in a disc publishing system can be offset by the low cost of blank discs, which are affordable and readily available.
Additionally, the cost per disc drops significantly when producing large quantities, making it a scalable solution for businesses of all sizes. In addition, there are no recurring costs associated with maintaining data on the disc.
Once the data is burned onto the disc, there are no additional storage fees or subscription costs, unlike cloud storage, which often requires ongoing payments.
3. Versatility Across Industries
Disc publishing systems are versatile and can be used for a variety of applications in different industries. Here are some examples:
- Education: Educational institutions use disc publishing systems to distribute course materials, lectures, and research data. Discs can be easily distributed to students, teachers and researchers, ensuring that everyone has access to the same information.
- Healthcare: In the healthcare sector, disc publishing systems are used to store and distribute medical images, patient records and other sensitive data. Hospitals and clinics can provide patients with copies of their medical data on discs, ensuring that information is easily accessible while maintaining confidentiality.
- Media and Entertainment: The media and entertainment industry relies on disc publishing systems to distribute movies, music and video games. These systems allow for the mass production of discs, ensuring that content reaches a wide audience quickly and efficiently.
- Corporate: Businesses use disc publishing systems to distribute marketing materials, training programs and product catalogues. Discs can be sent to clients, partners and employees, ensuring that important information is shared effectively.
4. Customization and Branding
Another important benefit of disc publishing systems is the ability to customize and brand discs. The built-in label printer allows for the creation of professional-looking discs with custom artwork, logos and text. This feature is especially valuable for businesses and organizations that want to reinforce their brand identity while distributing data.
Whether you are creating promotional materials, educational materials or archival discs, the ability to design and print custom labels adds a professional touch to the final product.
5. Ease of Use and Automation
Disc publishing systems are designed for ease of use, with user-friendly software that simplifies the process of creating and duplicating discs. Once the system is set up, the production process is largely automated.
Users can select the data to be burned, design the disc labels and let the system handle the rest. The robotic arm ensures that the discs are moved efficiently during the process, reducing the need for manual intervention.
The automation feature is especially beneficial for organizations that need to produce large quantities of discs. With minimal supervision, the system can run continuously, producing hundreds or thousands of discs in a short amount of time. This efficiency reduces labour costs and allows employees to focus on other tasks.
6. Environmental Considerations
In an age where environmental sustainability is a priority, it is essential to consider the ecological impact of data management solutions. Disc publishing systems have a relatively small environmental footprint compared to other storage methods. The discs themselves are made from recyclable materials, and the systems are energy-efficient, using only the electricity needed for operation.
By producing only the required number of discs, organizations can avoid the waste associated with overproduction. Disc publishing systems also support the use of environmentally friendly inks and materials for label printing, further reducing their environmental impact.
Applications of Disc Publishing Systems
Disc publishing systems are used in a wide range of applications, from data archiving to content distribution. Here's a closer look at some of the most common uses:
1. Data Archiving
For businesses and organizations that need to archive data for long-term storage, disc publishing systems offer a secure and reliable solution. Optical discs are ideal for storing data that needs to be preserved for years or even decades.
This makes them suitable for storing legal documents, financial records, historical data, and other important information. The longevity of the discs ensures that data remains accessible without any risk of degradation or loss.
2. Content Distribution
Disc publishing systems are widely used to distribute content such as software, educational materials, and media. For example, software companies can use these systems to create installation discs for their products, while educational institutions can distribute course material to students on CDs or DVDs. The ability to create customized discs with branded labels adds value to the content, making it more attractive and professional.
3. Backup and Disaster Recovery
In addition to archiving, discs can be used for backup and disaster recovery purposes. By regularly backing up data on optical discs, organizations can ensure that critical information is protected from data loss due to hardware failure, cyberattacks, or natural disasters. The read-only nature of discs makes them immune to malware and ransomware attacks, providing an additional layer of protection for sensitive data.
4. Marketing and Promotion
Businesses can leverage disc publishing systems for marketing and promotional purposes. Custom discs can be created for product catalogues, company presentations, and promotional materials. These discs can be distributed at trade shows, conferences, and events, providing a tangible and memorable way to share information with potential customers and partners.
