We live in the midst of the ongoing hellish war in Gaza, trapped between walls of fear and despair.

My name is Suhaila, a mother of five children. We are fleeing death. Our home has been completely destroyed, and my husband, Shadi, has been badly injured in the war. We are now living on the street with no shelter, no tent, and no food.

Today, we have nothing to eat. We are starving.

The army has declared our area a danger zone and ordered everyone to evacuate. We had no choice but to flee with only the clothes on our backs.

We urgently need:

Hello beautiful people! It’s been a long time, but I’m back and ready to post a new batch of PACs just for you. perhaps you should take a short distance trip? even if it’s by yourself for a day or two. write down a list of things that you would like to do in a new city/town/etc & do them! sometimes all you need is a change of scenery. if you would like, you could reach out to someone you met at one of the social events and invite them out with you. do something spontaneous babe!

so i get the feeling that this could be a host family. you may not like them at first, but don’t knock it until you try it. they could appear boring or maybe they weren’t at the top of your list. they could be well-traveled. the dominant/parental figure could be nonchalant, could bend the rules a bit. you need to make sure that you set boundaries with these people. no matter how friendly they appear, you still have to focus on school!! that is your number one priority! it’s possible that they could throw a lot of parties or be a pillar in their community. do not be individualistic. it will throw them off. keep an open mind even though the culture shock might be a lot. you should do a bit more research on this country/the behaviors of the people in it before you study abroad. it will save you headaches.

I am going to be honest, the tarot community on Tumblr is long overdue for an overhaul—and more importantly, a period of serious self-reflection.

This was once a space for insight, introspection, and genuine spiritual exchange and connection. Now, all that has been buried under a flood of nonsense and noise.

The tarot and tarot-adjacent tags are constantly spammed with low-effort memes, obvious AI slop readings, self-promotional YouTube videos, and endless links to monetized blogs and websites. The number of people who are shamelessly turning something sacred into something hollow is maddening.

It is as though the primary goal is no longer connection or clarity, but clout. Engagement. Numbers. Visibility. People seem far more invested in cultivating a brand than in developing a genuine understanding. There is a desperate rush to be seen rather than to say anything worth hearing. As a result, so much tarot content has become derivative, predictable, and frankly, completely meaningless.

Take, for example, the endless parade of “future spouse” readings. How many of these do we really need? How many different ways can you ask the cards when, how, and under what circumstances someone will fall in love with you, especially when you are not doing anything in the real world to make that even remotely possible? If you are not willing to leave your room, speak to others, or grow as a person, then no amount of divination is going to deliver your dream partner to your doorstep.

It has become so shallow and soulless. And it undermines the depth this practice is capable of offering.

Tarot was never meant to be a performance. It was not built for algorithms or aesthetics. It is a tool - a mirror. And it deserves more respect than it is currently getting.

If you are in this for likes, for followers, or some imagined social currency, then you are in the wrong place.

pile 1: i'd say late symbolism into modernism for this pile because of the cards i've gotten (eight of swords and five of swords reversed, knight of swords and death), themes of internal conflict, social alienation, moral questioning, revolutionary mindset and transmuting trauma into art or transcendence. a refusal to let art be beautiful for beauty's sake. other eras that come to mind are baroque art (1600-1700) due to how visceral and political and transformative it is, and due to techniques like chiaroscuro (dramatic light and dark) to depict spiritual death and resurrection, think caravaggio or artemisia gentileschi. modern gothic also works for this pile (félicien rops, caspar david friedrich). artists that would probably resonate with this pile's energy could be schiele (it's funny how in my previous pick a pile schiele was also the pick for pile 1) for his contorted, expressive bodies and themes of psychological entrapment and metamorphosis, munch (a bridge between symbolism and expressionism), kirchner for his use of color, distortion and symbolism to reflect inner states and societal troubles of that era. why would you be iconic in it: knight of swords and death. you could be a water sign or someone who is able to adapt to chaos and transform from it. you're bold, mentally sharp, iconoclastic and aggressive in the pursuit of truth. you love to challenge convention and to provoke, maybe through your ideas or your words or the way you dress. you could also be someone who's constantly changing and bettering themselves, like you're in a constant state of transformation and ego death. you would be iconic for not holding back yourself, your identity and your inner darkness. you would be able to challenge the status quo and depict etchings of societal despair and causes you care deeply about. you would also depict a lot of self portraits dissecting the ego, you would be constantly trying to kill beauty in art to find the raw truth. some other themes that you would explore through your art could be conscious disillusionment, death as initiation (more like psychological or spiritual death) and radical clarity. you would be the type of artist that refuses to perpetuate violence, an artist that pulls others toward the light. a spiritual agitator of sorts, your art would be confrontational, political, symbolic and deeply raw. it would be truly impactful. you would probably tear down academicism or the myth of the beautiful, your art would challenge idealized human forms or decorative art with no depth. you would have challenged elitism in art through manifestos and abandoning institutions, you would stand against all of it. you might have also helped shape the roots of modern conceptual and trauma based art, paving the way for future movements like neo expressionism or performance art. holy to the misunderstood.

pile 2: you belong to an era of art where the artist is a poet, a seer and an emotional visionary. the knight of cups is the archetype of the dream driven artist, you are led by instinct and paint worlds/portraits not as they are but as they feel. you would belong in the pre raphaelite era (mid 1800s), you would have blended so well with their kind of romanticism: tragic, visionary and mythic. you would resonate with pre raphaelites because of their obsession with idealized beauty, mysticism and emotional martyrdom. haunted beauty vibes. think millais, rossetti (painting lost doomed women like saints) and more. another era that comes to mind is art noveau, known for its romantic and emotionally theatrical themes with a dreamy aesthetic (klimt, mucha, beardsley and more). you would be trying to embody emotional myth, turning vulnerability into performance and you wouldn't be just illustrating myth or beauty. you could also resonate with early modernist symbolism. you would be iconic in those eras because you are deeply intuitive and able to tap into the symbolic and emotional body of culture. you would be able to access collective emotional truths that others can't see and wrap them in gold leaf lol you would also crack the illusion of beauty from the inside, dismantling emotional performance and showing the world the idea of fractured icons and saints falling apart. you probably would have helped shape neo symbolism or auto iconography (like an early influence to frida kahlo or claude cahun). overall an artist focused on emotional vulnerability who would also dismantle beauty's illusion from within, you would be obsessed with emotional mysticism, proto performance and you would rebuke decorative art without soul.

pile 3: art as a ritual and revelation, i'd say either early renaissance or the symbolist movement. a pile that moves slow, deliberately and obsessively, almost monastic in its pursuit. the knight of pentacles is the worker who commits to the material and perfects it with relentless disciplines, it's not about flair but patience and purpoe. the moon adds mystery, distortion and illusion and the symbolic of course. this pile is about meticulous craftsmanship guided by an inner, irrational compass. there is tension here since the world of form is haunted by the world of shadow. you'd be an artist that works slowly and obsessively and who would include hidden codes or riddles in their work. i mentioned early renaissance because to me that's pre modern discipline, masters of techniques rather than expresssion. think about the long and devotional labor or van eyck or van der weyden where every drop of water was rendered with painstaking realism. with the moon being here your work would be loaded with hidden meanings and references, think bosch or piero della francesca or early alchemical illustrators constructing symbolic dreamscapes. i also mentioned symbolism because of the moon, it's all about the psychic inner world made visible. symbolists were mystics and emotional cartographers who used precise and formal aesthetics to portray their rich inner world. i feel like you would thrive here because you'd be able to build works where every single object is a metaphor and nothing would be literal. you'd perhaps resonate with redon, khnopff or hammershoi (it's funny to me how he's once again connected to my pile 3 people). you'd be iconic in this era because you're independent and in full control of your output, nobody would be able to manipulate you or your content or your aesthetic. you're also highly disciplined so you mastered your craft alone, in silence and on your own terms. you would also be so precise, you could take something complex and hidden and carve it into form with divine lucidity. think pieces that reveal new layers or symbols after decades, lots of coded wisdom. you would be an artist that would get references centuries later by academics and mystics. movements that you would be part of: contemporary esotericism in art (agnes martin, hilma af klint, leonora carrington), artists who focused on making their inner vision visible. meditative abstraction. a movement that values the symbolic over the representational. you would be an artist that hates literalism or pure formalism, you'd prove that clarity and mystery can exist together and that not everything needs to be resolved to be understood.

Dear my kind donors!

I am a mother of three children. We have lived through the war for a year and a half, and we have lost everything we own. My husband is a man who did not work. Before the war, I did not have a breadwinner or any source of income. During the war I didn't give up to teach so I volunteered and had good chance to help some students to get engaged again with English in a very creative way.

Please Save those innocent kids from war 🥺‼️🙏🙏

We are in tents for almost two years because our home was destroyed and my kids are starving now with no enough food  😭‼️🥺After our several evacuation from place to another.Now we don't have a house after it was destroyed by missiles. I now ask you to help me rebuild my house. And buy basics for the daily essentials for my children and I need money so that we can stand up again and start again.

This war wasn't easy at all it has taken many friends at work, students and some of my colleagues at the university. They are almost ten souls I won't never forget . Their laughter, their presence, their love… all of it is gone, leaving behind memories that are both precious and painful. Every day, I carry the weight of their loss, but I also carry their spirit, which gives me the strength to keep going.

The crossings boarders are closed again these days and war return in Gaza.  The crossing through which food enters has been closed for more than 30 days. We have nothing to eat, and even if we do, the prices are exorbitant. Some of the prices listed are:

1 kg of meat = $100 now there is no meat

1 chicken = 70$ there is no chicken

1 kg of fish = 100$ now it costs 200$

1 bag of flour = $200 now it costs 600$

1 kg of cooking gas = $150 now it costs 1000$

1 kg of sugar = $50

1 kg of eggplant = $20

1 kg of onions = $50

1 kg of tomatoes = $20

I’m Inge Kassab 22, dental student in alazhar university Gaza, I have finished three years of my studies at the university and unfortunately my university has completely destroyed due to the war in Gaza and I can’t go abroad the city to continue my studies because all boarders around us were closed and I forced to live her under bombing.

For almost a whole year and half I have been living in Gaza, where wardestruction and chaos spread everywhere in Gaza.

My home and my university were completely destroyed .

I am currently in Deir El Balah after I have displaced from my city Gaza , trying to save money to rebuild home to live in a safe place with my family. My father is an old man who lost his work and my mom also lost her work. I need you to support me and my family to build our life again.

Because of the war, it has become impossible to provide money to live, buy food, clean and drinkable water, and education here. This money will be used to provide what the war has destroyed for us, and also to provide a place to stay, especially since we are now approaching the winter season, where we need winter clothes, repair the damage to the house, and provide what protects us from the cold and hunger of winter.

Gaza has become a place full of destruction and is no longer suitable for any opportunity here. Diseases have spread in the Gaza Strip, especially those skin diseases for which there is no treatment due to the war. The water here has also become polluted water and has spread, and there is not enough food for everyone here.

I created this campaign to ask for help and support from you. As a human being who lived an entire year and half under the flames of war, destruction, and tragedies, I am addressing you and asking you for help, to help me get a chance to survive war, death, and hunger with my family, and to start from scratch. A new journey of living and recovering from those traumas and painful memories that we experienced in the war. So we stayed in the Gaza Strip under the genocide to live in difficult conditions and complete our studies with the least available means. Before the war began, I was at the beginning of the clinical stage and the beginning of my work on patients, but the war came and destroyed all my dreams, as I lost my university and my dental tools, which cost my father more than $1,000, and I lost my future. But now I am trying to return again in order to complete the number of study hours and graduate. Therefore, I need your help to complete what remains, as there is only very little left to graduate and go out to work and help patients.

This money will also help me to cover our living expenses and buy food in Gaza. Buying food and groceries in Gaza is something we cannot afford every day because of the high prices, and there is no opportunity to work here. The money will also be used to buy available cooking gas, wood and firewood which will also be used to provide fires for cooking and also to keep warm from the cold at night in the coming days.  Also I want to build my own clinic after graduation.

I hope you will hear my voice and help me get a chance to evacuate from here, and a chance to evacuate from Gaza if we can .

I am a person whose dreams, life, and ambitions were stolen during the war. All I have left is the hope of escaping from here. Help me revive this hope ❤️🙏🙏
