below are dave facts because i wanna ramble about him

he used to love sunsets which is why i themed the background that way and why i chose orange as his color!

he can still understand english because he didnt fully mutate mentally, and he can also sort of imitate basic things, like if hes confused of questioning something his roar/grumble will have a high inflection at the end

honestly kind of lazy but GIVE HIM A BREAK he went from shitty job to hardly being human he deserves to sun on a rock smh

he chose the colors for his bracelet by having elijah read the colors out loud

the cloth wrapped around his leg was originally so they could tell him apart from other fingers mutants at first glance, but they found the harness later on to tack on his old nametag and a tracker eventually. they keep the cloth anyways

the scars on his leg is from a twins mutant, the scars on his side and other leg (cloth leg) is from a cannibal. they dont remember/know what gave him the scar where his arm would be

virginia was actually familiar with him since he cleaned after them bitches

hes autistic. was autistic? i mean he still is but its kinda different now that hes. this way KSJFS (me shooting every character i make with the autism beam)

sassy honestly, he'll sigh dramatically and he carries himself like yr bothering him (because he thinks its funny, and you are probably bothering him a little tbh)

Mutant Mayhem fans when the blue 15 year old turtle finally gets thrown through a window:

Small but significant character moments that I actually really adore are from both the times we see the boys as tots. There is a reoccurrence that happens in both of them that I find so incredibly interesting.

For the turtle tot short, Splinter leaves the boys with weapons. In the short, Raph is the one who suggests they do “what Lou Jitsu would do” and Leo is the one who takes point when Splinter comes back to reprimand them. Leo, in taking point, is the one to defend them and get Splinter off their tails.

And then, in the flashback regarding the Kuroi Yōroi helmet, Raph is the one who grabs and throws “Skully” as a way to replace their missing ball which breaks it into pieces, but Leo is the one who speaks for the group and rushes into action to fix the teapot.

I love this for multiple reasons, but the biggest are how it shows that Raph has always been inclined toward the bold and fun and making the plans to include his brothers in what he loves and believes they’d love, whereas Leo has always been inclined to be the “Face” of the group and shoulder the attention even if it’s potentially negative all while coming up with on the spot attempts to fix the situation.

So, I understand this may be a stylistic choice, but as the unofficial coloring person for your comic, something in your recent swannie update.... concerns me

His eyes are SO dull. All of his line art is dull. Especially when in comparison with leo....

And you keep making magical girl jokes...

Is this like... a madoka magika situation?

Is he too far away from his soul?

He looks like he's barely.... there. He's normally at least responcive... he.... hes not there.... he's not.... present... I feel like there isn't anything there. No soul, no magic... just running on muscle memory and whatever magic remains in his body.

of course, his family is aware that, currently, donnie is physically separated from his soul, and that that's probably not good. but they're also aware that donnie was beat to hell and back and just barely skated through by the skin of his teeth-- and that the lake literally drains his life force out of his body.
