Now and then my heart drops. Maybe it happens more than it should. This needs to be seen, loved, and read. Often I am told to accept my place in the void. That I should just acknowledge that my views don't expand outside of myself, and no matter how much I yearn for it to, when I might meet one or two people that understand, it fills me with hope, but often I'm led to wonder if this hope is false. Yet day by day I work on believing it's not & that I matter, diversity matters, our stories matter.
