I have no idea if I’ll write it, but I started thinking of Springtrap x reader plots, and then I started talking to @ravenmccookies about like... the main idea that I have.
So, imagine: Y/N is one of those people who likes to restore old things. They never worked at the attraction, and never actually knew about it, either—but they heard about something burning down.
While out walking, they end up discovering Springtrap, and they’re like: “Oh, a cool robot bunny. I’ll take it back with me and fix it up. Should be fun.” And they drag him back home.
And they basically start streaming on what they plan on doing—and when they go to the room that they were sure they left the rabbit in... he’s just gone.
Y/N manages to find him, but in a panic, ends up hitting Springtrap with a bat that they happened to have brought with them.
And that’s just how the two actually meet. I have a ton of other ideas involving this potential thing—including ideas for how it could actually end. Something angsty, I’m thinking.
Bare with me now but I think certain portions of fandoms reactions to a piece of explicitly aromantic media is telling in a way.
So I think TSV's lack of romance from the get go probably weeded out most of the types of people who aren't capable of interacting with media beyond shipping or romance. But even still I see the occasional er take or reaction to the SV's handling of & lack of romance.
I love how the most impactful plot and story relevant relationships are non romantic. I love how almost romantic relationships/attractions are exes,in the past, made the F up (Hayward the F we're you yapping about man?)or not on screen... All but one which brings me to the reason for my post.
But the strong reactions to episode 36 are tickling me.
A lot of people are upset about the ending specifically how they think the tragedy is excessive and depressing for no reason. Personally I belive Sebastian and Devereux did make it out at the end and that last bit was a ptsd flashback to the incident and I do agree that it'll be a bit much for the NPCs we've been following for a whole 1 hour+ episode will meet a grisly end for horror reasons I guess.
BUT the reactions by people who's interpretation of the ending as being more tragic I feel is interesting. I do not believe people would be as upset if it wasn't a romantic relationship that was centered. If Seb & Dev had been unambiguously "just" friends getting sucked into some nightmare Scooby Doo plot, if it was centered primarily on Dev & his sister, if it was only about those non romantic relationships and an unambiguous Bad End, I Don't believe certain portions of the fandom would've cared as much.
I feel people were waiting for a romantic narrative, wanted their cute assumed white yaoi boys to ship as a reward for "sitting through" all the aromantic relationship stuff. Were hoping for a cute soft fluffy romance that they could ship, the right kind of queer representation.
The aro/ace older woman, the Achillean trans man, the sapphic trans woman, all the myriad NB/agender main/major characters is fine...but where's the cis (white) yaoi boys?(nevermind that both of Seb & Dev's VAs are POC)
Idk I guess this is a fundamentally uncharitable assumption to make about people but I notice things and maybe I'm projecting too much
room stuff! im still decluttering tho so i have less n less stuff. rlly no longer interested in my old collection or at least the old disney stuff. keeping SOME of it for sentimental reasons tho ofc<3 i need more wall art tho my walls r Naked mostly
the chances of the people seeing this aren't super likely so this is highly inefficient but i'm too afraid to approach people personally…. yet i've been burning with the need to express my gratitude for the tags i've received individually somehow and figured, i could do it the way i do best. in the tags 😅
(sorted by most recent) (i capped the limit hard here) (some ✂️✂️ had to be done 😔) (i still like this format a lot though) (might do this again in the future idk would people like that??) (i hope it's not mortifying for anyone……..)
it's sorta the way i like it, indirect and unimposing, even if it's kinda. wieldy. but it's just on my blog so anything goes right? although in saying that, i am open to being imposed on. like if someone wants to talk about aci or something, like other fic?? i'm a big fic fiend. or anything else lol not sure what else you'd wanna chat about since so much of the stuff i've put out is just. about fic. but hey, if you're a person i don't mind being approached :>
(lol the way i've made this like a *throws out a bunch of paper slips* find your's 🎉) (might be obnoxious hm) (sorry...) (find your's if you want though 🫡)
I’ve been thinking about doing a list of something like ”olli/allu things I can’t believe have actually happened” but there are so many things it almost feels too overwhelming to do 😂😭
I was just looking through some of my old notes and I came across something that's hilarious (or so I think).
So, obviously I have faeries in my stories. Daleira, Valyarus, and Soren are all noted faeries in Sun and Shadow.
But did you know that the Arcane Rifts has faeries, too? And, in fact, that they're even more important there? (Like faeries as a "species", not just the faerie characters, haha.)
Introducing: Vysio and Rhys! They're respectively faeries of Glavnran's forests and nature in general (with a special propensity toward storms (aka water/electricity/wind/blizzards))!
Anyway, for those without context, my faeries are kinda... conceptual beings of pure magic that create forms for themselves! They're shapeshifters that can be who- and whatever they want.
The SaS faeries are all "gendered"--Soren and Daleira are male/female respectively, but actually! Valyarus wouldn't mind "they/them"! He's just gone by "he" for as long as he's interacted with humans, so it's just what he knows! So feel free to use they/them for him, if it makes you guys happy, haha.
TAR's faeries, however... well, they're not!
(Actually, tragically, Rhys has lived their whole life with male pronouns. I can't really get into it without spoiling stuff, but suffice to say that they're not in a position where they can be themselves.)
Rhys is, well... an absolute gremlin who you shouldn't trust with any degree of authority (and yet they have a LOT of it--).
They'd probably prefer they/it pronouns tbh, but I'd have to get to a point with their character where they'd be able/willing to think of that sort of thing, so. (And let's just say Rhys doesn't appear until book 3, so they're def not getting that any time soon, OOPS!)
And then there's Vysio. My boy Vysio, the entire reason I wrote out everything I have here.
He's kinda just "whatever" with his pronouns. He's an entity of pure chaos (technically, not literally, but he is chaos-leaning!!! 👀) and is as close to your typical fae as my faeries get! He's a major trickster entity who just wants to cause every single problem possible, and gets so, incredibly angry that nobody recognizes him as the terrifying faerie he is! (My poor baby boy, you'll get them next time. 😂)
But, when I was going through my notes, I found the most wonderful thing.
A silly little "joke" that was 100% true.
Vysio would choose the pronouns "cryptid / bitch".
Mentally preparing myself for those type of people that made fun of other people for liking fnaf in the past and suddenly liking the games all because of the movie coming out
Finally rewatching some doctor who, and the episode 'midnight' is such a different experience now what the fuck.
Spent the first half of the episode like "wait the doctor IS being reasonable this is an undiscovered lifeform its just trying to learn things its not its fault people think its creepy </3" and also "this is a bit more contrived than I remember. Why are all these tourists down for Murder after 20 minutes of someone repeating what they say." But of course the episode is having so much fun with itself that I'm having fun too <3
Anyway my crack theory is that the midnight creature is post-finale bill, due to the line, while possessing someone, of "I can move, I can feel again, I'm coming back to life" and all the really obvious evil little smiles
